~ Chapter Six: A Tiny Glitch ~

Mr. Jonouchi was washing the dishes, glancing up to his son's room with worry. After Jou had gotten home from school a little later, he had immediately shut himself in his room, and hadn't emerged ever since. "Katsuya?" he called, knocking softly on his son's door sometime later. "Are you sure you're not hungry?"

No answer.

"Katsuya, you know if something is wrong then you can tell me…"

"Leave me alone, Dad!"

Mr. Jonouchi jerked back from the door, surprised by Jou's outburst. "All right, then…"

As Jou heard his father's footsteps retreat, he re-buried his head in his pillow, lying there. His tears had dwindled to nothing now, after what seemed like days of crying. Jou clutched his head, sorting through what had happened…

~~~~~~
"Those three are actually the group of snotty girls you see hanging around the jocks and popular kids," Bakura explained, sinking back into a chair. "The one with the blonde hair is Mai, the one with the raven black is Ishizu, and the one with short, brown hair is Anzu."
"Isn't she the one who was hanging onto Yami when we first met?" Jou asked, his curiosity numbing his grief.
"Yes," Marik nodded. "She's had an eye out for him ever since the fifth grade, when she was the Queen of Egypt and he was the Pharaoh. Ever since, she's been attempting to get Yami out on a date, or try to woo and flirt with him." Marik made a face. "It's disgusting."
"So Yami never liked her, right?" Jou was hanging onto Bakura and Marik's every word. "He never went out with her or did anything remotely like that, right?"
Bakura snorted. "He'd try to worm out of anything that had something to do with her. He hates her. That's why he chose you, Jou. "
Jou laughed sarcastically. "Yeah, right. Did you just see him back there!?"
Marik and Bakura exchanged glances. "That's actually one of Ishizu's potions. It's well, hm…" Marik turned to Bakura. "You explain."
"The potion has the power to… Well, to put it simply, it can erase a portion of a person's memory. So I think that Anzu and Ishizu used the potion while you two-" he gestured towards Yugi and Jou, "were doing something else. And they've told Yami and Seto to forget about everyone but them, and to have, like, a death grudge against you two."
"Is it reversible?" Yugi asked, his eyes watering.
Bakura shook his head. "I don't know."
~~~~~~

Jou sighed, his mind wandering back to Yami. His warm kisses, sweet caresses, and the way he could make Jou feel like the King of the World with his soft smile. "Yami…" It's only been a few hours, but it feels like forever… My heart hurts so much…

"Hey, Katsuya!"

Jou spun around, and saw Yami grinning at him. "Yami! What are you-?"

Yami gently cut him off with a sweet kiss. "Shh…" He lay Jou down on his bed, smirking mischievously.

"Y-Yami?"

Yami leaned down, his slick muscle caressing the depths of Jou's mouth. "I've always wanted to do this Katsuya…" He paused, flicking his tongue over Jou's earlobe. "If it is to your consent…"

Jou nodded, his breathing ragged already. "Yes…"

Yami pressed forward, his hips connecting with Jou's in a most pleasurable way. Jou moaned, pushing his up to meet Yami's, his brown orbs pleading, begging for more.

"No more games, now. I want you to be mine, Jou. All mine…" Yami unbuttoned Jou's shirt, slowly, as Jou whimpered. Was Yami doing this purposely? Yami tore off Jou's white shirt underneath his blue jacket, lapping and tweaking at both his nipples. "You are so pretty, you know that?"

Jou groaned, all the attention rushing to his groin. "P-please…"

"What?" Yami whispered, his tongue once again flicking over Jou's earlobe, this time seductively. "Do want me to do this?" He reached down through Jou's pants, his hand rubbing Jou's length.

"Yes!" Jou called out, bucking his hips, wanting more skin-on-skin contact.

"What? I want you to say it…" His hand stroked up and down Jou's length.

"Please, take me…" Jou pleaded, his cheeks burning red at the same time.

Yami nodded, smiling again, and quickly finished undressing both of them.

"Mine…" Yami said, pulling Jou's lower half towards him. He slid into Jou's entrance, slowly moving in and out of the younger teen. To Jou's surprise, he felt no pain, only pleasure as Yami pumped in and out faster and faster. "Katsuya…"

Suddenly, a huge rumbling sound sounded, shaking both of them. A girl, Anzu, appeared, kissing Yami passionately.

"Yami!" Jou stood, or rather, hovered, above the all too familiar scene. "Quit it! Stop! Someone, help!"

"Katsuya! Katsuya! Can you hear me?" Jou's father shook his trembling son awake.

"Dad?" Jou asked, looking at his father, still shaking.

"You were mumbling in your sleep. Or rather, you were shouting. Hard to sleep with someone yelling right across from your room." Jou's father pulled the covers back over Jou. "Something wrong, son?"

Jou shook his head. "Just a nightmare. About-about pizzas becoming extinct." He hated lying to his dad, but he had no choice.

Mr. Jonouchi surveyed his son once more, and then shook his head. "All right then, Katsuya. Get a good rest. It'll clear your head."

Jou nodded. "G'night, Pops. And-"

Mr. Jonouchi paused at the doorway. "Yes?"

"I'm sorry. For telling you to go away and leave me alone. I wasn't thinking straight."

Mr. Jonouchi laughed. "NO problem, Katsuya. When I was your age, I locked myself in my room for a week. But let's not discuss it right now."

Jou sank back in his pillows, recalling his dream. He blushed red, remembering the first part of it. I just wish it could have been true… He turned around, and fell into a unconscious sleep.

~~~~~~
Bakura rubbed his eyes, staring at a photo album of all his friends. So many were of him and Yami, and Marik and Seto. The back of the book, the most recent, was of him and Ryou. He smiled, and then frowned, pulling out their fifth grade class photo. He froze as he realized that Anzu and Ishizu weren't smiling at the camera like everyone else, they were looking at… Bakura traced Anzu's gaze to Yami, and Ishizu's to Seto. Why didn't I recognize this sooner? He sank back into his pillows, staring at the picture of Mai. She seemed pretty decent when Bakura had actually had a five-minute conversation with her. Actually, if I remember correctly, she was the one who usually dragged Anzu and Ishizu away from Yami and Seto… Bakura paused, grinning. He dialed Mai's phone number.
"Hello, Mai Valentine, speaking."
"This is Bakura. We need to talk."
~~~~~~~~~

"Hello, Bakura!" Mai waved at Bakura from an empty cubicle in the school's library.

"Keep it down," he hissed, glancing around nervously. Ryou was known for his early visits to the library.

"What's the deal?" Mai asked, folding her arms over her chest. "I could be at home catching up on my beauty sleep."

Bakura snorted. "Don't make me laugh."

"Listen, do you want my help, or not?" she asked crossly, making to stand up.

Bakura pulled her down hastily. "Just need to confirm something with you. The potion that Anzu and Ishizu cast on Seto and Yami, is it reversible?"

Mai shrugged. "I know the effects of the potion, but since I didn't take it when Ishizu offered it to me, she didn't hand me the antidote, either. Sorry about that. Besides, why do you care? It's not it's happening to you."

"I just want to stop this. Ryou's worried sick about Yugi and Jou. They seem to be off in oblivion ever since you friends cast that damn potion!"

"Take a chill-pill, Bakura. You'll fret your ass off. Not like I care."

Bakura smirked. "You sure have a way with words, don't you?"

Mai smiled. "Thanks, hon."

"But since you don't know the antidote, then I'm afraid you're no use to me. I'll be leaving now." Bakura turned to leave, only to find Mai tugging him back into his chair.

"I'll try," Mai offered, "but I can't guarantee it."

Bakura shook his head. "Just make sure your friends don't do anything to Yami and Seto. I'll see you later."

"They're not my friends."

Bakura froze, turning around, gaping. "Could you repeat that?"

Mai shook her head. "I only pretend to be friends with them. To tell the truth, I'd rather be with my old friends. The ones I had when I was new here. Those two will do anything to get what they want. They threatened the lives of my friends when they told me that I had to join their group. If you think about it, what choice did I have?"

Bakura paused. "If you can help me, I'll try and help you. But don't think that we can be firm friends after this. You owe me big time."

Mai smirked. "So do you."

~~~~~~
Anzu giggled, gazing at the teen across from her. Ishizu's potion had actually worked. Not only was Yami hooked on her, but there was nothing pulling him back. "Oh Yami," she whimpered, clasping his hands in hers, "this so romantic of you."
Yami smiled. "Anything for you, my Peach."
Scratch romantic, this was heaven!
As Anzu dragged Yami around the mall, Yami kept trying to recall something. He felt it tug at the very corner of his mind, something or someone important, but who? Yami shook his head, clearing his thoughts. Whatever it was, it wasn't coming to him.
~~~~~~~

Marik raised an eyebrow as he saw Bakura exit the library, with none other than Mai Valentine. WHAT THE HELL?!

Bakura saw Marik, and mouthed, `later.'

Marik sighed, hoping that Bakura hadn't complicated things further…

~~~~~~~~
Ishizu smiled, settling down in one of Seto's couches in his mansion. She frowned, however, when she saw a plushie kitten with brown fur and large, innocent eyes. "Seto," she called, as the CEO entered the room.
"Yes, Ishizu, dear?"
Ishizu pointed to the kitten. "Who gave you that?"
Seto opened his mouth, to speak, but something stopped. That stuffed kitten was so familiar… Somehow…
Ishizu frowned again. As effective her potion was, it still wasn't foolproof. There was a chance that the affected one could regain their lost memories by close and important objects or even people. But without the antidote, the person who the potion was cast upon still couldn't return back to the way they were completely… She fingered the glass vial in the pocket of her long dress. As long as she had this, then Seto would remain hers, no matter what.
