~ Chapter Eight: Water ~

Marik released Anzu as he spotted Ryou and Malik running towards him, panting. "Find anyone?"

Ryou pointed towards Domino River. "I found Bakura and the others, except for Yami and Jou. Ishizu and Mai are with them also." He paused, gulping down air.

Marik grinned, and pushed Anzu away. "C'mon, let's go!"

Anzu smirked as they ran towards the river. She pulled out the diamond vial, and held it up in the air. I just got a brilliant idea…

~~~~~~
Bakura sat on the grassy lawn, making sure Mai was as far away from him as possible. "Ouch," he felt around his head, wincing. "I'm going to kill you!"
"Did you say something, Bakura?" Mai asked, holding up a sledge-hammer.
Bakura glared at her. "Oh nothing, absolutely nothing…"
Ishizu smirked and pulled out a roll of duct tape.
~~~~~~~~

"Bakura!" Ryou raced up to Bakura , throwing his arms around the demonic-teen. "We finally found you guys!"

"We?" Seto asked, glancing up at Ryou, Yugi in his lap. Both were clutching sledge-hammers.

"We," Mark replied, strolling up to Bakura and company. He froze as he saw Bakura, or at least, his head. "What the- What the hell happened to you, Bakura?!"

Bakura tugged at his hair, frowning. Mai had removed the bandages, and instead, painted a big, red `X' on the top of his head. And to top it all off, Ishizu had taped his mouth shut. "Mmhhmmhmm hmmmmhh!" Which was translation for: "My head has now become a batting target."

"It was your idea," Mai pointed out, and Ishizu nodded.

Yugi gaped at them. "You can understand him?!"

Ryou unwound the tape from Bakura's mouth, jumping back as Bakura growled at Mai and Ishizu.

"I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!" Bakura roared, as Seto silently handed Malik and Marik each a sledge-hammer.

"Just in case," he whispered to Ryou as he pressed a sledge-hammer in Ryou's hands as well. "Obedience control."

Mai's right eye twitched, and she raised the object up to hit Bakura.

"NO!" Ryou called out, blocking her. "Bakura can't help what he says, it's like an impulse."

Bakura stuck out his tongue at Mai. "Ha."

"But-" Ryou objected, glancing sternly at Bakura, "it's not uncontrollable. So, if you don't change, Bakura, I'll have to resort to extreme measures." His eyes narrowed dangerously as he waved the sledge-hammer in front of Bakura's face.

Bakura paled. "Um… Before we officially begin, can I ask something?"

"Sure."

"Where did you get these hammers?!"

Seto quirked an eyebrow. "Hello, CEO of Kaiba Corp."

"Right."

"So," Malik said, glaring daggers at Ishizu and Mai. "Introductions, please."

"Malik, this is Mai," Bakura pointed at the blonde-haired teen, "and this is Ishizu." He pointed to the raven-haired teen. "They're reformed now."

Malik nodded. "Pleased to meet you. But where's the other one… Azu or something like that?"

"It's Anzu."

Everyone turned to look at the speaker, but it was Bakura who spoke first. "Hey, Jou! Glad you came." Bakura pointed towards Mai and Ishizu for a quick introduction. "Mai, Jou. Jou, Mai. Ishizu, Jou, Jou, Ishizu. Mai, Ishizu, Ishizu, Mai. They're reformed," he whispered to Jou. "So stop looking like you're going to kill them. Mai helped Ishizu recognize that she doesn't truly love Seto. Anyway, Seto's back to normal."

Jou grinned half-heartedly. "Glad t'hear that."

"By the way," Ishizu asked, "have you seen Yami?"

"No," Jou answered, "I thought he was wit' you guys."

"Sorry," Yugi apologized. "But we haven't seen him ever since… yesterday…"

"Say," Seto said, turning to look at Jou. "How about you try to remind him about the times you two spent together. See if you can trigger a memory buried deep inside. If ti worked for me, it'll definetly work for Yami."

"Too bad that he'll never fully recover!" Anzu stood at the riverbank, smirking, a glass vial in her hands.

"What do you mean, Anzu?" Ishizu asked, stepping closer to the cheerleader.

"This." With one mighty movement of her arm, Anzu tossed the remedy into Domino River.

Now, before we resume this chapter, you need to know some things about Domino River. The river is fast and rapid, even though it may appear not to be. Add the fact that it is negative nine degrees Celsius, and presto! A very dangerous river. Thus, only a fool would jump in the river.

Jou's eyes widened as the vial glittered in the sun's rays, almost tauntingly, and plunged into the river. "No!" But before Jou could move, a blur of tri-colored hair ran past him, and jumped into the river.

"Yami, you fool!" Bakura called out, "get your lazy ass out of there!"

But Yami didn't hear as he took a deep breath, and plunged underwater. "Yami!" Before Jou's mind could fully understand his current position, Jou was in the water, searching for Yami. A few days ago, Yami had confessed to Jou that he had no clue how to swim, thanks to his fear of water and a near-death experience he had first-handedly witnessed when he was five. Which made both of them complete fools.

Jou found Yami floating a few feet away from him, Yami looked unconscious. However, the vial was clutched safely around him. Thank Ra. They were safe. Then Jou's brain clicked. "Help! The water's friggin' cold, and it's fast and-"

Seto waded into the river, and began pulling Jou and Yami towards the shore. He stopped, and began laughing. "It's not cold, nor rapid. In fact, it's just fine!" He leaned over, and plopped Jou and Yami onto the grassy area, pulling Yugi in a moment later.

"Seto!" Yugi suddenly realized that Seto was right. "Hey, guys, it's fine! The water's great!"

Marik and Bakura gave a big whoop, and cannon-balled right in. Ryou laughed, giving a small squeak as Bakura tackled Ryou, pushing him into the water, Marik following suit, but a little more NC-17 style.

"What on Earth are you kids doing?" A woman yelped, "such outlandish behavior!"

"That's right!" A second woman appeared, frowning. "Kids like you should be studying, not rif-raffing aoruond!"

Marik rolled his eyes, giving them `the finger.' "Fuck you."

The two woman's cheeks flushed. "How dare you, young man! Now, I order you to get out and concentrate on helping the public."

"And playing a gambling game is helpful to the public?" Seto asked, leaning against the edge of the water. "Don't make me laugh."

Bakura gave them the `finger.' "Now run along," he taunted.

The two women flounced off, a pack of cards falling onto the gravel.

"Oi!" Bakura called to them, waving the cards in the air. "You forgot your poker cards!" As one of the two snatched it out of Bakura's hands, he grinned evilly at them. "I split everything with my customers 50/50."

Mai glanced at him admirably. "Got to had it to you there, Bakura. You handled it nicely."

Bakura nodded. "And you said my mouth was a pain in the a-"

Ryou bonked Bakura lightly on the head. "Bakura…"

Seto pulled Yugi out of the water, wrapping his trench coat around Yugi. "It doesn't help much, since it's dripping wet, but it'll do."

"Thanks," Yugi answered, cuddling up to Seto. "But this is better."

"I'm cold," Marik whined, glancing at Seto. "Hint, hint."

"Yeah, Seto! Why don't you call your limo to transport us home!" Bakura blurted out, eager to ride in a limousine.

Malik hit Bakura's head. "Mr. Straightforward."

Seto sighed, nodding. "Sure. If you want, I can each take you home so you can grab your swimsuit." Seto glanced at Yugi, who nodded. "For a pool party," he added unenthusiastically.

Everyone nodded vigorously.

"But first," Sseto interrupted, "revive Yami, will you, Jou?"

Jou nodded. "Erm… What should I do?"

"Pour it into his mouth," Ishizu instructed, "and give him a kiss."

Jou uncorked the bottle, and poured the contents into Yami's mouth. As Yami swallowed, Jou leaned over, and kissed him softly. His eyes widened as Yami brought him into a deeper kiss, hugging him. Memories of his dream flashed through Jou's mind, and he felt himself harden.

Ryou walked over, and tapped the two on the shoulders. "I'm sorry, but you're attracting a lot of wandering eyes."

Yami nodded, smiling at Jou. "Sure, Ryou. So, Seto, am I invited to this party of yours?"

"Sure Yami, glad to have you back, anyway." Seto pulled out his cell phone. "I'm glad I made it water-proof."

Yami turned to look at Bakura. "Er… I'm sorry for commenting rudely on your hairstyle. It wasn't sportsmanship like."

Bakura winked. "No prob."

"You remember what you did when Anzu kinda controlled you, Yami?" Jou asked, hugging Yami.

Yami tilted Jou's face, so they were looking eye-to-eye. "Yes. And I'm sorry for what I said to you, Jou. I didn't mean it, honest."

"Of course you didn't, Yami. Now come on. I see Seto's limo!"

Yami suddenly paused. "Wait. What happened to Anzu?"

Ishizu jerked her thumb towards a tree, where Anzu had been bound and gagged. Mai and Marik were taking turns hitting her, while Bakura watched from the sidelines. Ryou didn't allow Bakura to touch any weapon of any kind, because something or someone always ended up hurt. Plus, Bakura didn't have a sledge-hammer.

"Well, that's all taken care of," Yami said. He extended his hand. "Let bygones be bygones?"

"Hey!" Seto called out to everyone. "Get in or else I've without you!"

Bakura dashed into the limo, cheering "limo! Limo!" over and over again.

"Yo, Seto. Can Mai and I bring Anzu with us?" Marik asked, an unconscious Anzu slung across his left shoulder. "I'm thinking `The Anzu Bashing Game'. Whoever knocks her unconscious first would win. Business'll booming, Seto." There wre stars in both the teen's eyes.

"Why not?"

Marik and Mai slapped hi-fives, and both scrambled in the luxurious car, cheering "bash! Bash! Bash bash bash!"

The others followed, eager to enter the limo and then visit Seto's mansion. Seto pulled Yugi onto his lap, stroking his koi's hair.

Ishizu smiled at her newfound friends. She shook his hand. "I wouldn't want it any other way."

Millenniumspirit: Please review! The rest, as you can guess, won't be much angst, but there will be a lot of comedy.

Just so you know, there isn't Bakura bashing. Mai just enjoys hitting people, and everyone else is following suit.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
