The Captor

Ryou opened his eyes, slowly things began to swim into view. Where was he? This was not home! Then Ryou remembered. He opened his eyes again, all was dark, suddenly a light appeared, suspened in mid-air… no… a man was holding it. The man was very strange looking, but not so much in a bad way, as just merely unusual, the kind of guy who you never forget. Ryou could not see the man face clearly, nor his hair, only his eyes, two glittering orbs of amethyst, and a pair of… earrings? Guys wore earrings on both ears…? And such long ones at that. Oh well, it wasn't his business, the earrings, glinted in the flickering light, winking at him, sparkling, and the flame danced before his eyes, most arresting, dancing, flitting…

"Step into the light…" The man's voice brought Ryou out of the daze-like trance he had been in. Numbly Ryou stepped forward, his feet seemed unable to function properly. "Very good," the man breathed. Ryou had no clue what he was talking about, but decided to say nothing. "Now what is your name?" The man stared at him, his eyes boring into Ryou.

"Um… Ryou."

"OK, Ryou, do you know where we are?" Ryou shook his head slowly. "Do you know why you are here?"

"Because…because I ran away?"

"Ohhhh…. So you're a runaway are you, well all the better…" This man was really weird Ryou thought but at least he wasn't at home being abused by his yami. "No… I'm afraid that is not why you are here… Do you know who I am?" Ryou shook his head again, bewildered. "Well do not worry my little Ryou, soon you and the whole world will know me and fear me."
