Atemu was a lonely Pharaoh; He had decided not to take a queen. Things had gone great so far under his rulerish (A/N1) until his undesired longing for a mate caught up with him. His High Priest came to him one day. He told him of the council’s decision to find him someone. So they sent massagers all over Egypt to find the most attractive young male.

(some place in Egypt)
“Jou… Don’t you think that you should be practicing for the big ceremony?” Little Yuugi said rolling his eyes at his young friend. Jou got up and began to practice his belly dancing skills. They continued to dance and laugh until they saw a shadow fall over them. They looked up and clung to each other.
“Hay man which one do you think the Pharaoh will like?” The taller guy said leaning over both Jounouchi and Yuugi and glared.
“I don’t know man… let me look.” The guy on the horse said and then the taller steped back. He glared first at Jounouchi and then at little Yuugi.
“Take the kid that sort of looks like the Pharaoh... that would please him.” The Guy on the horse and the taller guy grabbed Yuugi and put him on the back of the horse before climbing up. The taller man reached down and tied Yuugi to the horse so he couldn’t get away.
So they rode all the way back to the Valley of the Kings and dropped Yuugi off in a cellar.

The Guards came in and grabbed Yuugi and the brought him to a room where there was 4 other boys. They all looked older than him, and stronger. They were told to straighten up and to look presentable; this was the one grandest opportunity of their lives. It was then the pharaoh came in and inspected them.
The Pharaoh came in and looked at the boys. He looked at the two that looked the oldest until he saw the little boy with the amethyst eyes. Just one look from those eyes and he was hooked. He knew that none of the other ones would do. It had to be him, But it couldn’t be rushed. He had to learn to trust the pharaoh.
“You, kid with the spiky hair, how old are you?” The pharaoh said pointing at Yuugi.
“16…sir.” Yuugi said bowing down to the pharaoh.
The pharaoh walked over to his massagers and looked them all in the eye.
“I want the spiky haired kid. You can take the rest of them back now.” The pharaoh said turning back to Yuugi. He motioned for Yuugi to come with him and Yuugi followed.
After Atemu had showed Yuugi where he could and couldn’t go, and showed Yuugi his room he had to leave. So Yuugi took it among himself to go exploring. But just his luck he happened to wonder upon some of the workers of the palace. And one of the male workers went and hit Yuugi, calling him all sorts of names. That was until the pharaoh happened to walk by. He saw what was going on and went to punish the foolish worker.
