Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ AIM Addiction ❯ Daddy Dearest ( Chapter 5 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Aki_Yume: Hey guys, since I've been getting too much bad feedback, and I've been hassled by several people because of the original plot twist I had in this chapter, I've asked my plot bunnies to help rewrite this. It worked, and now I'm no longer going in the “cliché” direction hopefully -_-. I know that I would normally laugh off flames and people that hated my stories, but being harassed by e-mail and AIM to the point where I've considered scraping all of my stories altogether isn't cool.
… Okay, I'm off my soapbox. *nods* I changed the end of this chapter, btw *nods*.
Disclaimer: Yeah, whatever. I don't own anything except for my shitty storylines. >_>
Title: AIM Addiction
Chapter 5: So I'm dating this guy…
“Seto, I told you that this is a bad idea,” Mokuba shook his head in shame. He had stayed with Seto and showed him a few of his personal favorite slash fics that were written by g0ld3n fl4m3. The older Kaiba was very quick at reading, and he knew Mokuba was silently laughing his head off at the reactions Kaiba had to the fiction that was glowing on the screen before him.
“See?” Mokuba tried to ease his big brother out of the shock that had taken over him. “You're dating a perv. And you're also ignoring that perv.”
That seemed to snap Kaiba out of his frozen state. The words that decorated the liquid screen stared at him, burning into his brain, and all this time he'd been completely ignoring Lestat. He hurriedly pulled the screen back up, looking at what he'd missed.
g0ld3n fl4m3: cha, really.
g0ld3n fl4m3: uh… Shou-kun??
g0ld3n fl4m3: Shou I'm lying naked in my bed and I'm very vulnerable, anyone could just walk up and rape me!
xAoixTatsux: what? if u really want sex, just ask u dope xD
~*~*~*~*~*~
Jou couldn't stand this. They were threatening to fuck each other senseless and they'd only been on one date. Why the hell couldn't Shou own a bigger car? That would make everything so much easier. Then again, the blonde also wouldn't mind fucking in Shou's Jaguar, that car made him hot, and the driver wasn't exactly ugly.
g0ld3n fl4m3: hey, r u doin anything tomorrow?
He waited through a small pause; he assumed Shou was thinking about it. It took a little while, and Jou was puzzled as the little message that said Shou was typing back to him was blinking. From what the honey eyed boy saw Shou was typing and then stopped.
Typing.
Stopping.
Typing.
Stopping.
“Oh my god!” Jou growled to the computer screen. “Would you fucking reply already?”
It took a little more of the blinking, but the reply came five minutes later.
xAoixTatsux: yeah, i have school tomorrow, u do too, don't u?
Jou snorted and typed in a reply to his cyber friend.
g0ld3n fl4m3: yeah, but imma ditch. its healthy to once in a while. *nods*
Jou was almost startled when someone else completely different sent him an instant message.
Xxbr0t4lxX: jOu, ArE u DaTiNg SoMeOnE?
Jou almost rolled his eyes. Teana was a great friend, but she was way too much of a trend follower. To her, trends were life blood; she'd always wear what was in style, and she was so obsessed with her friends that she always tried to get into their business. It was a bit annoying really. And she was just hilarious when she tried to date Yugi's Yami.
g0ld3n fl4m3: wtf do you wanna kow about my personal life, Teana?
Xxbr0t4lxX: wElL, u DiDn'T cOmE tO tHe ArCaDe 2dAy w/ tHe GaNg… T_T
Jou sucked in a breath of air and tried to make sure he didn't say anything rash to the girl; he didn't want her to start drama again. She would never let Yugi hear the end of it, ever.
g0ld3n fl4m3: er… yeah, i went on a date 2day.
Xxbr0t4lxX: really?! Omfg!! xD xD who is it!?
g0ld3n fl4m3: no. i'm not fallin 4 this 1 again. =P my lipz r sealed.
Xxbr0t4lxX: aw… y not?? I'll stalk u in school tomorrow!
Jou rolled his eyes and chose to ignore the rest of Teana's conversation and flipped back To Shou.
xAoixTatsux: Lestat? You there?
Jou sighed and typed his reply.
g0ld3n fl4m3: ya, but i gotta go 2 sleep. when can I see you again? i already miss you ;_;
xAoixTatsux: aw, i already miss u too. How's this Sunday?
Jou smiled and agreed before signing off and shutting down his computer. He glanced at the clock and saw 12:30pm glowing in bright red numbers.
“Hm,” He spoke out loud to himself. “Food!” He grinned and took down the boards that actually made sure his door was closed in the first place and pried open the massive block of wood. Jou swore he'd ask his father to replace the damn door that he accidentally broke once because of the whole “Hi Dad, I've been meaning to tell you I'm gay” incident. He did note that he had gotten a good beating for that, but his father had apologized for it a few days later. Maichi had said he needed to look on the bright side of things; at least Jou hadn't knocked Mai Valentine up.
The blonde shook his head and chuckled to himself. He remembered when his dad found a candid shot of Mai in his school binder. Jou kept it there during the time when he was questioning his sexuality right after Duelist Kingdom. Sure, he wanted Kaiba's ass, but he for sure couldn't have been completely gay! A few years and a dozen boyfriends later, that couldn't been true.
With the door propped open, Jou tip-toed across the hallway to the stairs, trying his best not to wake his father. The teenager never liked to wake his father up when it wasn't necessary; Maichi could be quite the grouch when woken up during the wee hours of the night. Being a chef at a ritzy restaurant could do that to a man.
Jou slowly walked down the stairs, tripping over a few in the darkness as he went; he wasn't blessed with night vision. Arriving on the ground floor wasn't too much of a problem; and before long, Jou found himself in the permanently lit kitchen…
… With an older blonde sitting at the island table.
“Hi Jou,” Maichi didn't even bother to look up from the notebook he was writing in as he enjoyed a cup of what looked like warm milk. Jou gulped; he hoped his dad didn't know what he'd done today; Maichi may have lightened up, but talking about his homosexual escapades still bothered the both of them for slightly different reasons.
“Hey dad,” His voice was shaky and he wanted to kick himself. Now the four star chef would definitely know something was up. Jou sighed as he seemed to be right. A strong hand set down the coffee mug and stern blue eyes narrowed in his direction.
“Did you sneak out of the house today while I was gone?” Jou's eyes almost widened. How could he have been so stupid! Maichi was at work most of the day, he didn't even need to sneak out and risk ripping the dress he had worked so hard on creating.
Well, Jou thought to himself. There's no point in lying to dad. He probably found it out by asking one of the neighbors. He would always talk to Mrs. Tanaka, and the older lady was always glad to alert his father if Jou was up to something.
“Yes, I did sneak out of the house to go somewhere.” His voice was flat and dull. He'd been caught; nothing was more lame then that. He was waiting for the onslaught of negative words from his father, but it seemed that the middle aged man had indeed turned a new leaf.
“Oh, okay. Well, next time you don't need to sneak out, you can just go.” Jou smiled at his father and went to the refrigerator for some more of the leftovers his father would always seem to bring home.
“The more days go by, the more there seems to by in the `fridge.” Jou shook his head and closed the door, turning to his dad with a plate of food in his hand. He didn't even know what it was, but hey, it tasted good.
“Well,” Jou looked up from his food to listen to his father through chews. “I'm having trouble. For the Valentine's season coming up, what color plates should La Petite use?” Jou smiled at the serious question that had just been posed by his father.
“Have you been spending half the night debating that?” Jou quipped. If that statement was true, his father was a very sad person. Maichi gave him a weird look and shook his head.
“I only just got home ten minutes ago,' He said as he ran a hand through his hair. “Shift change, remember?”
“Oh!” Jou nodded in understanding and jabbed another mouthful of food into his mouth. He thought about it for a second before answering. He attempted to talk while chewing, which barely worked. “I think you should do white ones cuz pink's cliché, and you use blue normally, which isn't really a good color to use during Valentine's Day since the color is meant to mean something totally different than hugs and kisses.”
His miniature lesson gave his father another insight of the situation and the older man smiled for the first time that night.
“Thanks Jou,” Maichi smiled. “Sometimes it's great to have a gay son.”
Jou rolled his eyes and tossed his plate into the sink. He said his good nights to his dad and flew up the stairs. As he got back into the room and bolted it shut again, he couldn't help but be very happy with his father right now. It seemed that he did turn a new leaf after all and it seemed to be thanks to this new shift change at his work. Or maybe talking to a psychologist to help him accept Jou was actually working. Whatever it was, Jou decided not to push his luck and went straight back to the computer to the awaiting Shou who was sure to still be on.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aki_Yume: Okay, so I changed it and went with my second instinct. I hope you like this correction and I'm working on the next chapter (or sleeping) as you're reading this! *gasp* see ya!
