Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Akane from America ❯ Akane moves ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Hey folks! Great day, isn't it? I'm going to a cos-play picnic this Saturday! ^_^ It's gonna be so fun! I decided to make this fanfiction after reading so many horrible, horrible mary-sued fics on ff.net today. Poor characters.. Out of Character. Stupid Mary-sues! So let's get on with the story, shall we?

Disclaimer: Yu-Gi-Oh does not belong to me, only the plot, Kyoshi, and Damian. (Yes, they are going to be in this. ^_^)

Akane Futabatei sat on her bed as she looked out the window. Akane was fifteen years old, she had beautiful golden eyes and waist-length black hair that seemed to sparkle in direct sun-light. She was tall but slender, even though her grandmother always gave her double servings, she never gained any weight. Akane sighed as she turned her attention to the walls. Tomorrow she would be moving to Japan, to a city called Domino. Her grandparents wanted Akane to broaden her horizons, so they decided she would move to Japan.

“And they won't even be coming!” Akane yelled, punching her pillow. She remembered it all so clearly.

“You wanted to speak to me?” Akane said, walking into the living room. Her grandmother was sewing a sweater, and her grandfather was reading the newspaper.

Yes, well we have decided that you will go to Domino.” Akane's grandfather said, putting down his newspaper.

“You mean Japan? Akane asked. (“No, the other Domino, nitwit! The rest of us screamed.)

“Yes. We feel you need to broaden your horizons.” Akane's grandmother replied, looking at the girl.

What about you two? Aren't you coming? Akane asked.

“No. We're staying here, in our old age, we can't travel like we used to.” Akane's grandfather answered.

“YEAH WELL I DON'T WANNA GO! I DON'T NEED TO LISTEN TO YOU! I'M NOT GOING!!” Akane yelled.

Please. Do it for us. You will have an opportunity in Domino. You might make friends there. You don't have any friends here in Los Angeles.” Akane's grandmother said.

“NO!” Akane yelled.

We have been looking out for you for fifteen years, Akane. If not for you, please for us?” Akane's grandfather asked.

“Well.. Fine. But I'm not happy!” Akane said.

Akane looked at the clock, it read 7:41 PM. Only twelve more hours until she would leave for the airport. She decided to go to sleep, after all, she would need as much sleep as she could get, because she probably wouldn't get any in the plane.

The next morning, Akane said her good-byes to her grandparents and got on the plane. She sat in her seat and took out her I-pod. She figured at least if she didn't like the plane-ride, she could have some peace by listening to her favorite music. Before she could started the music, she felt a tap on her shoulder.

“You very pretty girl.” A random Asian next to her said.

“Um.. Thank you, but I'm not that pretty.” Akane replied.

“Yes you are. You smell very good too.” The random Asian continued.

“Uh.. Thanks.” Akane replied.

It had been a week since Akane had first left L.A to go to Domino, she finally got settled into her new surroundings and was now preparing to go to school. Domino High. Her Grandparents had paid for her tuition. She was originally going to skip school, but she felt obligated to go, as her care-takers had paid for everything. She got on her school uniform and headed out the door. She didn't know where she was going, so she tapped on the shoulder of one of the men who was walking in front of her.

“Yes?” the young man said, turning around.

“Um.. I was just wondering.. Do you know where Domino High is?” Akane asked.

“Look Hiroto! A foreigner!” The young man's friend said, pointing. “American, I believe.”

“Damian! You don't have to say it like that. Especially in front of a girl as beautiful as her.” The young man scolded. Damian just rolled his eyes.

“Um.. Domino High?” Akane asked.

“Domino High, huh? What a coincidence, we're going there too!” The young man said.

“Not willingly..” The other man mumbled.

“Oh hush it! You could just skip!” The young man yelled, smacking the other man lightly.

“Yeah right! I tried that once, you hunted me down and threatened me if I didn't go!” The other man yelled, turning back to face the direction they had been walking in.

“Excuse my friend, miss. You can walk with us if you want to get to Domino High.” The young man said, bowing.

“Okay, well if you insist.” Akane replied.

“He didn't insist, he was just offering. There's a difference.” The other man said over his shoulder.

“Right. Anyway, My name is Honda Hiroto,” Honda introduced. (Tidbit!: In Japan, people introduce themselves saying their last name before their first name! ^_^) “and this guy is my friend Damian.”

“I'm Akane Futabatei.” Akane introduced.

“It is very nice to meet you, Futabatei.” Hiroto said, shaking Akane's hand.

“My name is Akane, Futabatei is my last name.” Akane said, a bit annoyed. Damian shook in annoyance while Honda just apologized.

“Sorry.” Hiroto said, bowing.

“It's alright.” Akane said, smiling, exposing her beautiful white teeth. “But I guess you can call me Fu-“

“Shouldn't we get to school instead of talking? Or should I just leave without you both?” Damian asked, tapping his foot.

“Well sorry for getting to know someone!” Hiroto said angrily. The three of them started walking to Domino High, Hiroto telling Akane different things about Domino, and Damian trying not to just end it all by jumping in front of a car. They got to the school about fifteen minutes later, where Hiroto and Damian were greeted happily by a boy a bit older then them.

“HIROTO!” The older boy said, all but glomping Hiroto.

“Whoa! Kyoshi, calm down!” Hiroto said, watching Damian fall on the floor as Kyoshi got to him.

“Get off of me NOW!” Damian yelled, pushing Kyoshi off of him. He got up off the floor and glared at Kyoshi.

“Sorry about him, I couldn't find the leash this morning.” came a voice as a blonde haired boy came up and grabbed Kyoshi's arm.

“Katsuya!” Kyoshi said, hugging the younger boy.

“What the hell..?” Damian said, cocking his head. Akane just blinked at the sight in front of her. Kyoshi seemed to be rather fond of the blonde haired boy.

“Sorry Akane! Did you feel ignored? We didn't mean to i-“ Hiroto started.

YOU didn't mean to, Hiroto.” Damian said, correcting his friend's obvious mistake in wording.

“No, it's fine..” Akane replied, even though that was a lie.

“Who is she?” The blonde asked, pointing to Akane.

“This is ou- my new friend Akane! Akane, this is my best friend Jounouchi Katsuya! And.. That guy next to him is his boyfriend Kyoshi.” Hiroto explained.

“Nice to meet you.” Akane said.

“Foreigner?” Katsuya asked.

“Yup.” Hiroto replied. Damian rolled his eyes and walked to homeroom, leaving the other four in the hallway.

At lunch-time, everyone was crowding around Akane's table, they wanted to see the American that was going to be in their school, all but Kyoshi and Damian.

“Um.. Damian, I don't have a good feeling about Akane..” Kyoshi said, looking down at his plate of food.

“Okay.” Damian replied, not really caring.

“Do you think she's one of them...?” Kyoshi asked, hoping to get more of a response from the boy.

“Hmm.. It wouldn't surprise me, as those kind seem to just pop up all over the place.” Damian replied, crossing his arms and looking in disgust at Akane.

“Maybe we shouldn't be talking about her like this.. OH GOD! What if she finds out and feels insulted that we're saying all this stuff about her?! What if she gets mad at us and doesn't want to be our friend?!” Kyoshi asked, his eyes widening.

“Life goes on.” Damian answered. “If I were you though, Kyoshi, I would be more worried about that.” Damian pointed over to Jounouchi, who looked like he was enchanted by Akane's singing.

“When did she start singing?” Kyoshi asked, obviously missing the point.

Meanwhile, somewhere distant...

“Is everything going according to plan?” A man's voice said.

“Yes, master.” Another man said, with his arm against his chest.

“Do we get to kill the bitch?!” Another man #2 asked. (Okay, I wasn't feeling creative enough to give him his own enigmatic name)

“Ugh! Can we kill him?!” Another man #3 asked, glaring at Another man #2.

“NO!” Everyone else yelled.

“Soon, soon enough we will succeed in our plan, soon enough. Mua-hahaha. MUA-HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!! Ow, my spinal cord!” The man's voice said evilly.

^^;;; Okay, it wasn't as great as I hoped, but it was still good, right? I hope so! Tell me what you think, and if you don't really like Akane, that's alright, neither do I. =P
