Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ All in a mind's thoughts ❯ Intro ( Prologue )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
I'm writing again! Yay! Actually this story is on a serious note, one that I hope I can pull off as smoothly as I seemed to pull yami hawk off. (Which, by the way, you should read.) I'm using a song that I think matches the first part, don't worry this won't become a song fic, I just think it matches.
Anyway I guess I should tell you the warning, disclaimers, and all that jazz.
This story, more than likely will contain yaoi, drug use, sex, and death (non-main character.) Other things may come up as I go along.
I do not own anything
Seriously.
When I think back
on these times
and the dreams
we left behind . . .
on these times
and the dreams
we left behind . . .
I was so happy with just you and me. We'd go everywhere together. We were a team . . .
But all things come to end, don't they, and happy endings don't exist, because the true ending is death, and that is never happy. But if you lead a good life you should be all right.
The saddest part of the ending is someone always gets left behind, no matter how hard you fight, or how long you struggle.
I wanted to go with you . . .
It's so dark here
“So, how is he?”
These voices . . .who are they?
“He won't be awake for sometime, he was nearly killed.”
They're so close, but so far away . . .
“But he will wake up?”
Concern? Father, is that you? Where are you? I can't see you . . .
“Absolutely, though it may take a day, or two more.”
Please father answer me . . . it- it's so dark here . . .
“All right then, we'll check in tomorrow. Yugi, could you stay for a while. I have errands to run, but I'll be back as soon as possible.”
Who is Yugi . . ?
“Okay Mama.”
“Thank you Yugi . . .”
Isn't Yugi . . ?
Then the dark came again and swept me away again.
I awoke a day later, as was predicted, by what I presume to have been the doctor. I looked about the room, dizzy, and confused, “What happened?” I kept thinking. “Where is my father?” My eyes caught the sleeping form of a young boy, though to my astonishment, he and I looked very similar. I wondered why, or how this could be. The boy awoke, and noticed that I was staring at him.
“Oh, you're awake! Thank goodness! We were worried for a while.” The boy said to me.
“Who are you?” I asked.
He blinked at me then smiled embarrassedly, “Oh ya, sorry bout that.” He scratched the back of his head. “I'm Yugi, please to meet your acquaintance.” He said nodding his head to me. It seemed like a bow.
“Where am I?” I asked. I figured there was no need to introduce myself, as he already must have known me, since he was here.
“You're in Japan, Domino.” He replied.
“Japan?” I thought about it, it explained his mannerism.
“Hai, you were in a terrible accident! We had you moved you here so we could take care of you.” Yugi said, getting, what seemed to be, upset about it.
“Where is my father?” I asked, trying to snap him out of his rant, and I wanted to know.
“. . .Um.” Yugi stammered.
He's hiding something, people always stammer like that when they're hiding something. “Where is he?” I asked again.
“He . . .” Yugi began, only to be cut off by an elderly man entering the room, who looked striking like Yugi.
“Dead?” I asked. “How could he be dead? We were talking just a moment ago . . .” My mind raced for answers.
“As Yugi said before, you were in an accident, and your father died. You barely came out of it too.” The man continued.
“Grandpa! That's much to harsh, shouldn't we have broken the news a little gentler?” Yugi said.
I stared at them in shock, “My father is dead . . .” I murmured.
“Yes, and you should be thankful you didn't join him.” The man, now known as Yugi's grandpa, said to me.
Yugi huffed at his grandfather, obviously irritated at the man for his bluntness in telling me what happened.
I didn't care, all that mattered right now was that I was here in Japan and my father was dead. I now vaguely remember the accident. We were driving along when a truck rammed into us on my fathers side. We were thrown of the road and landed in what must have been a ditch. After that it gets fuzzy.
“As soon as you can leave we'll be taking you to our home in the west side of domino.” Yugi's grandfather said.
“I see . . .” Was all I could reply with. This was too much to absorb right now.
“Well, come on Yugi, let's leave him for a bit?” Yugi's Grandpa said thumbing over to door.
“But what about him?” Yugi asked.
“I think he needs time to think.” Yugi's Grandpa answered.
“Oh-okay.” Yugi sighed looking at me with sympathy, then he and his grandfather left.
I watched them go. I understood what was happening, but it confused me all the same. Why was I here in Japan? When did my father die? Was it instantaneous? I could only hope he felt no pain. Who was this Yugi kid that had visited me? Why did we look so similar? All these questions . . .I couldn't answer a single one, and worse yet now I was alone. Not that I minded being alone, I just wish I had someone to talk to.
“Father . . .” I said quietly, a single tear running down my face. “Why did you leave me?”
So, um ya. That's an intro, I hope you like it, and I hope to get some response. Please!
Other wise I hope you enjoyed
