Chapter 2: Secrets and Sweetness

In a matter of minutes, Bakura sat alont at the table, in his tight black leather pants, and a black muscle shirt. Standing up, he washed his hands and sat down again. Jumping up, he leered at the black book he sat on. Picking it up, and staring at the book, he said: " My my, what do we have here?"

Normal POV

Bakura went up the stairs, and into his room. Sitting down, he opened the book and read the entry that Ryou had bookmarked.

Dear Diary,

I wish Bakura would stop being such a jerk. So what if I ruined his pants? It's not like I spaz out when HE burns one of my things! Oh, I wish I never had a Yami like him. Why can't I have a Yami like Yugi's?! It's just not fair!

Oh! By the way, today Malik and I went to the park, and we saw Anzu there! So we decided to hide behind these pine trees. When I peeked through the bushes I saw Anzu, she was walking by. I signaled to him, and he-he oh! I cannot believe he did that to me!But, you know what? I think I enjoyed….Oh shoot! Bakura'll be home, and I can't let him see this!, see you soon!

Bakura gaped openly at the entry. Enraged that Ryou had actually (A/N: Remember, PG 13 for language and sex!) let Malik fuck him was degrading. His innocent little hikari? No, he wouldn't! but Ryou'd written it down! Bakura grunted in frustration.

Suddenly, hearing a pair of keys jangling, Bakura raced down the stairs and threw the diary on the same chair he found it. Sitting across from it, he put his head down on the table, just as Ryou, pranced in, his silvery,white hair flowing behind him, like a sheet of snow.

" Hi Bakura! " Ryou said, as he placed his groceries on the table.

"……………………… ;." Bakura was silent.

`Oh, I guess he's sleeping…",Ryou thought,' maybe I should poke him awake!?' Ryou grinned at the idea.

//DON'T even think about it!// Ryou squeaked in shock.

/S-sorry, Bakura-kun../He replied meekly. Bakura lifted his head, his eyes hidden beneath his hair. Brushing his hair away, his dark, chocolate pools looked into Ryou's frightened, identical eyes.

" I'm not hungry, I'm going to bed". Bakura mumbled, rising from his seat, and leaving the room.

" G'night Bakura…." Ryou whispered, plopping down on the seat. Bakura did not answer.

Ryou's POV

I let a few tears slide down my cheek, knowing that my presence disgusted Bakura. ` Why does he hate me so?', Ryou thought,' And to think I went out into the cold and got him his favourite meat!' Ryou seethed in turmoil. ` Okay then, If he doesn't like me, I'll change, see what he thinks of the NEW Ryou Bakura?!'

Normal POV

In the bedroom, across from Ryou's on the 2nd floor, Bakura sat by the window. Watching as a bird flew into the tree in the back of the house, he thought about Ryou. `I want you, but you've gone into the wrong group, why can't you listen to your own Yami?' Bakura pondered thoughtfully. Closing his eyes, he went into a restless state.

~~~ Flashback ~~~

" I told you not to read that stupid piece of shit, when you should be watching the food! Now it's burned and I have nothing to eat!!" Bakura roared at the cowering, pathetic, helpless boy. Ryou said nothing, and Bakura beat the hell out of him that night.

" But Bakura! I need to go to school!", Ryou pleaded," I'll clean the house when I get home!"

"No! I don't care if you get Expeelted (A/N: Bakura, Bakura, YOU need the education!) or whatever, you're going to clean the house, NOW!!!" Bakura yelled, his throat already sore from yelling at Ryou the other night as well.

Bakura opened his eyes, as a tear fell down his cheek. He stood up.

" Don't worry Ryou, I'll be the best Yami ever!- then remembering Ryous entry.,he added- Just not like Yami Yugi".
