O.k. Chapter 2. Sorry I took so long! Now there will be some OOC moments, so...yeah... O.k.

Chapter:2 Exploring
Joey was outside of the cave, wearing a black jumpsuit with black paint under his eyes. He was staring at his watch,tapping his foot in annoyance. "They were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago!!" Just then, 3 figures came running up the path. "Sorry we are late, Joey. We had to get somethings for our trip into these caves. And-"Ryou stopped when he looked at the size of the cave's enterance. "Wow! Doggie was telling truth after all! And here we thought that he just wanted a bone!"Bakura laughed. "Yeah! I know! He was right...For a change!!!" Marik joked. Both of the teens laughed, as Joey turned red from anger again."Shut up!! Now let's get going!!" Ryou pulls out 3 flashlights. "You think you got enough there, little buddy?"Joey smiled. "They're not just for him, you nimrod! They're for us!!"Bakura snapped,turning red. Joey looked into the evil conterpart's eyes, panicking."Shall we go??"Joey turned away from his glare and walked into the cave.
After about a half hour of wandering the cave, that was only eluminated by the 4 small lights coming out of the flashlights, the teens entered and giant room. "Wow!! This room is as big as the entire school!!! Really cool!!"Joey was facinated by how spacious this area was. It had nothing in it, but he was impressed anyway."It's a bunch of rocks, in a giant sized room!" Bakura snarled. "Leave it to the mutt to find sticks,and stones!!"Marik laughed. "Maybe this could be a new place for him to bury his bone collection!" Bakura and Marik bursted out laughing. "Why you....!!" Joey turned red. Ryou stopped suddenly, causing the other teens to bump into him. "Hey! Why did you stop!?"Joey fussed, still angry with Bakura and Marik. Ryou paid no mind to the anger in his voice. "Which way do we go now?" Ryou pointed ahead.
The cave now broke off into 2 seperate directions. After a moment of thought, the boys yelled out responses."Left!!" Joey shouted, pointing down a darker part of the caveren. "Right!!"Bakura and Marik protested."Gee...Both ways look so inviting!"Ryou said, sarcasticly. The boys start arguing about which way to go. Ryou just watches this. "We are going to be in here until the next morning..."he said. Just then, he caught a scent. "Hey! You guys smell that?!" he looked at the others."Yeah! Smells like a stinky dog!"Bakura snarled, causing Joey to growl. "Becareful!! He might have rabies!!!!"Marik taunted. They ignored the young boy standing behind them, who was sniffing the air.
"Left!" Ryou shouted, and took off. The boys turned around and saw Ryou running down the tunnell."Hey!!!!Wait up!!" all 3 of the boys yelled, running down the tunnell, not noticing a dark shadow that lingered in the room. "What's wrong with you!?!"Joey shouted at Ryou, who was way ahead. "You may not believe me, but I could smell which way to go. This way is safer."Ryou ran, white hair blowing from the force. Joey looks dumb-foundedly at Ryou, which causes him to slow down. "Hey!! Wait up!!!"he picked up his pace.
After running for a couple of minutes, the teens find another room, but this one was lined with carvings. In the middle of this odd room, was a stone stool, with a dusty, brown bag on it. Joey cocked his eyebrow, still trying to catch his breath. "Why did you lead us here, Ryou?" Marik stared at him. "Well, I told you I picked up a scent, and I guess it was from that."Ryou pointed at the old bag. "It might have rotting flesh in it. But then again, I would have smelled it first..."Bakura commented, laughing as Joey made a face about his"flesh" comment. "Well, no guards...I guess we could just take it."Marik looked around, and saw Ryou wandering over to the wall. "But what if it's got a curse on it?!"Joey whimpered. "Don't be such a puppy!" Bakura laughed.
"What are you looking at, Ryou?" Marik stood behind Ryou, who was studying the carvings. "Hmmm..."he felt the wall, to make out waht the carvings were suppossed to be. "This looks like a dragon,and 4 young men..."Ryou shook, for he now knew what the carvings were trying to say. His eyes got wide, and he shook all over. His hair stood up. "What?!" Marik nearly screamed, panicked by Ryou's guesters. He slowly turned his head, the same terrified look on his face. "We got to get out of here..." he said in a nervous tone. "Why?" Marik asked. Ryou just slowly pointed to one of the carvings.Marik shone his flashlight on it. "He who takes this bag, shall die." Marik shook, thinking about the bag in the middle of the room. They turn around slowly. Bakura snatches bag. "You smelled this old thing, hikari?" Bakura stared at it. Ryou's eyes were wide, very wide. "What?"Bakura asked, not moved by the wide eyed, non-verbal response he was getting. "Ummm...."Marik, pointed behind Bakura. "RUN!!!"Joey shouted.
Marik and Ryou take off, Joey not too far behind. Bakura stood there, then turned around. "What the--?!?!?" his eyes got wide, when he saw eerie, red, bloodshot eyes staring back. The eyes were bigger than his whole body! Bakura took off after the other teens, screaming. "Is it behind us?!"Ryou asked, looking at Marik. "I ain't looking back!!!" Marik shouted. "Poor Bakura...Desevres what is coming to him!"Joey growled. "NANI!?!?" he yelped out, when he was hoised of his feet, by Ryou. "Don't you DARE say that about Bakura!" he snarled, eyes narrowed like the beast that was behind them. "Run for your lives!!!"Bakura ran up, and grabbed Ryou's arm, dragging him along. There was a roar, and heavy footsteps coming closer. "Time to go!!" Marik yelled,running, with Joey following.
They saw the exit of the cave, and headed toward it at full speed. They got out, and continued running for about a mile. When they ran out of breath, they fell over onto some rocks. "So...Tired..."Bakura sounded winded. "You should have left the bag!"Joey snarled. Marik look at Ryou, who went over to a really high rock, and climbed it with ease. "Hey, Bakura? Can Ryou climb rocks?" "He hates to. Why?"Bakura turned around, and answered his own question. "Ryou! Get down, before you get hurt!"he shouted, but Ryou kept climbing. He got to the top, and looked over the horizon. "I can see Yugi's house from here!! Let's head over there!" Ryou called down. "Fine! But just get down! Please!" Bakura begged. "Ha!! And you can me the dog! You're begging!!"Joey laughed. "You want me to start punching, and kicking you instead?" Joey was silenced by a glare from Bakura, who was in his face in less than a second.
"Just what in Ra's name was that?!" Bakura snapped, after a couple of minutes of walking. "I really don't know. I'm no stone reader, like father." "Let's just go to Yuge's. He might have some food. I'm starved!!" Joey groaned, rubbing his stomach. "Figures." Bakura chuckled. "What?!" Joey growls at the white haired teen."Just like the mutt to be wandering about food. And at a time like this!"He finshed, causing Joey to steam. He whacked Bakura on the back of his head, causing him to jerk foward in shock. "You are going to wish you didn't do that!"Bakura turned around, and punched Joey right on the nose, causing him to fall over on impact."Why you...!!" Joey got up, but was held back by Marik. "Not now, you two!" "Let him go. I can take him with one hand tyed behind my back!"Bakura sneered. "That can be arranged!!"Joey broke through Marik's grip, and charged at Bakura.
"Get back!!" Ryou stood in front of Bakura, and punched Joey, causing him to whirl around through a double take, as if stunned by what just happened. "Did Ryou just punch Joey?!" Marik stood, wide eyed by Bakura. "More like scratched." Bakura motioned toward the cut on Joey's face, that was dripping with blood. Both Marik and Bakura looked at Ryou, who didn't seemed to be fazed by this at all. He was glaring, and snarling Joey on the ground. "Let's go." he whirled on his heel, and walked down the rocky path. Marik helped Joey up. "Hey Bakura?" "Yeah?" "Remind me to never make him mad." "Can do."
"Look!" Marik pointed to a sign, that was just over the mountains. "Kame Game Shop" was written in big, bold words. "Looks like we are almost there." Bakura sighed. Joey kept a safe distance away from Ryou, who might turn on him again in a heart beat. "Hey look.." Marik whispered, pointing to Joey. "What?" Bakura questioned, looking at him. "I have never seen him so shocked, yet scared."Marik continued. "Yeah. Well, Ryou rarely lashes out at anyone." Bakura stared at Ryou, who was walking ahead.They got to Yugi's gameshop home.Marik knocked on the door, because Joey was not going anywhere near Ryou, and Bakura was holding said nut back from ripping apart Joey. The door opened, and a light shone on their faces. "Hey guys! You know how late it is. And what's with the torn apart bag?"Yugi's eyes looked at them, full of questions.
