The Demon Within

Aten stretched and rolled over, putting his arm around Robbie. Robbie turned his head. “Good morning. How do you feel?”
Aten pressed against Robbie's back and purred. “Can't complain.”
Robbie turned around and smiled at Aten. “I'm glad you were able to patch things up with your dad.”
“I was a jerk.”
“No, you weren't. He's your dad and you were upset. That's understandable.”
Aten pulled Robbie close to him. The Egyptian kissed Robbie's lips and down his neck slowly. The blue-eyed teen moaned and ran his hand along Aten's side. His white hand rested lightly against the dark skin of his husband and slid down, caressing Aten's hip.
The hand drifted slowly to the buttock and pressed Aten's hips against him.
Aten took his leg and wrapped it around Robbie's leg, allowing him to press against Robbie further.
Robbie's hand drifted up Aten's rocky, scarred back and back down to his buttock.
Aten rolled on top of Robbie and kissed Robbie's chest. The Egyptian moaned as he felt Robbie's hand wrap around him and touch him cautiously.
A gentle moan escaped Robbie as Aten's tongue brushed over his right nipple. Robbie's thumb brushed against Aten's length.
The teen brought Aten into a kiss, pleased that Aten's body was beginning to react to his touch.
“Aten, baby,” Robbie moaned.
A whimper escaped Aten as the Egyptian closed his eyes and moved his hips into Robbie's grip. “Robbie…”
Robbie smiled and kissed Aten's forehead. “Love you, baby.”
Aten reached below and touched Robbie lightly. He smiled and moaned, rubbing his lover sensually.
Robbie bit his lip and arched his back. “Aten….god…”
Aten watched Robbie's cheeks become red from his rising body temperature.
Robbie's breathing came in sharp gasps and a whimper escaped him.
Aten leaned over and whispered in Robbie's ear, “My Robbie loves it when I'm a dirty little boy, doesn't he?”
Robbie turned his head as he heard a raspy voice sound. He looked up and saw Aten's hair spiked and his eyes black as coal.
“Yami Aten!”
Yami Aten grinned down at Robbie and stroked him faster. “You like me being a dirty little boy, Robert, don't you?”
Robbie swallowed hard as he saw his reflection in the black eyes.
“Aten, did this trigger you? I'm sorry.”
Yami Aten squeezed Robbie's manhood. “You're not going anywhere.”
Robbie arched his back and tried not to thrust into the grip. His hands released Aten quickly. “I won't do this…”
“Why not?”
Robbie looked up at Aten. “Because what I did was scaring Aten. That's why you're out now. I won't do that to him.”
The door opened and Vera walked in. “Time for breakfast and---OH MY GOD!”
Yami Aten turned and hissed at Vera. Robbie swallowed hard at the vicious growl that came from the being which was touching him.
Vera stood at the door, frozen.
“Leave us alone!” the yami bellowed.
Another vicious snarl and Vera ran out, the door left open.
Yami Aten looked down at the teen below him. “I scare you?”
“Aten, you will never scare me. But, I think I scared you just now, and that is why Yami Aten came out. I don't want to hurt you or scare you, Aten.”
Yami Aten leaned down. “You don't want to see what a bad little boy I can be?”
Robbie shook his head. “Not if it means scaring you.”
Yami Aten leaned forward and rested his head on Robbie's shoulder. Robbie closed his eyes as Aten's head fell over his face.
“Aten?”
The Egyptian raised his eyes. “Hmm?”
“Are you okay, Aten?”
“Yeah, why wouldn't I be?”
Robbie hugged Aten tightly and held him against him. “It's okay, Aten. Let's just go downstairs and have breakfast.”
“Oh, it's ready?”
Robbie nodded. “Yup. Come on.”
Aten slid off of Robbie and handed him his bathrobe. “I'll be down in a moment,” Aten said.
“Okay, I'll get your pills ready and your juice poured.”
Vera watched Robbie walk down the stairs and shuddered. “What I saw was no ordinary person! Aten is possessed by a demon! Those black eyes were dark as the devil's heart himself! I had better call mum-sy! She will deal with this demon!”

Ryou walked downstairs and saw Kai bouncing up and down with his toy shovel and pail.
“I'm dawna pway in da san-box!”
“Let me get the picnic basket from the basement,” Ryou said. “Then we can go have fun.”
Kai bounced up and down on his toes. “Diss is dawna be fun!”
“Oh, it will be, baby boy…it will be.”
Ryou turned on the light and walked down the steps. He walked down to the basement and saw Malik folding the laundry.
“Oh, hi, Ryou. Good morning.”
“Morning, Malik.”
“Came down to get something.”
Malik folded Bakura's shorts. “I heard you're taking Kai to a picnic.”
Ryou nodded. “Yes. I came to pick up the picnic blanket and the basket.”
Malik turned and handed Ryou the picnic blanket. “I washed it for your picnic today.”
The Egyptian smiled warmly at Ryou.
“Thanks,” Ryou said quickly.
Marik watched Ryou grab the blanket and the picnic basket.
Ryou looked around the shelves quickly.
“What are you looking for?”
“The hammer. Bakura…Bakura needs it for something. He's finally going to hang up the picture of Kai in our room and he's too lazy to come down here himself.”
Malik turned. “It's hanging on the wall there. Marik put it there in the wrong place.”
Ryou grabbed it. “Perfect.”
Ryou climbed up the stairs and placed the hammer at the bottom of the basket. He hurriedly shoved the picnic blanket in the basket to hide the hammer.
“Mommy!” Kai squealed as Aria descended the steps.
“Come here, chibi boy!” she said, bringing her son into her arms. She carried him into the kitchen. “Mom, are you sure you're okay to take Kai to the playground? You haven't been…well.”
“I'm fine, Aria. Look, I even packed the sandwiches! Let's go, Kai. Say goodbye to mommy and daddy.”
Kai smiled and hugged Aria. “Love you, mommy!”
“Give me a wet sloppy chibi boy kiss, Kai!” Aria smiled.
Kai pressed an open mouth kiss on Aria's cheek. When Kai pulled back, her cheek was covered in chibi drool.
Aria laughed. “Go give daddy a sloppy wet chibi kiss, too. Love you, Kai.”
Aria put Kai on the ground and he ran to his father.
“Bye, daddy!” Kai squealed happily.
“Bye, little man. Be good for Nana.”
Ryou picked up the basket with the sandwiches and the concealed murder weapon. “Time to go, Kai.”
Kai gasped. “Wait!” The two year old ran to his play corner where he grabbed his whale plushie. “My whale swims in sand!”
Aria gave Kai one last hug. “Be good, baby boy.”
Kai waved with a big smile on his face. “Love you, mommy!”
Aria waved. “Goodbye, baby!”
Ryou closed the door behind him as Kai skipped ahead.
“I love the park! The fowers are so pwetty!”
Ryou walked down the street, watching the boy cuddle his toy and skip. Kai stopped and smelled the neighbor's tulips and he sneezed.
“Bless me,” he giggled.
Ryou lead Kai to the park. Ryou sat on the bench near the sandbox and watched Kai run.
Kai ran to the sandbox and removed his shoes and socks. Kai walked onto the hot sand and sat down. He piled the sand in the pail and pat it down with his shovel.  With a smile, the child put his whale plushie beside him. "I make you an under-water pway pwace, Misser Whalie!"
Ryou grinned. 'Have your fun now, kid.'
Kai turned the pail upside down and pat the sides. "I mate you a sand-tassel, my bestest pwushie effer!"
kai slowly removed the pail from the sand and a pillar of sand was there.
Kai clapped. "So pwetty! I do anutter!"
Kai scooped more sand into the empty bucket. Kai reached down and grabbed a handful of sand. he dumped it in the bucket. "Nana, wanna pway wif me?"
"Nah, I don't feel like it," Ryou responded.
Kai pouted and his large hazel-grey eyes went wide. "Why not?"
"Christ...don't cry, Kai. Don't be like my son and cry over every little thing."
The little boy lowered his head and sniffled. "Otay, Nana."
Kai filled the next pail and pat it down tightly, still sniffling. He turned it upside down.
Ryou saw siomething sparkle in the sand...something sharp. he walked over to it and picked it up while Kai was distracted.
It was a piece of broken glass from a liquor bottle. Ryou sifted and found a large curved piece of broken glass. Ryou grabbed it and covered the rest of the thin, tiny shards.
'This will be perfect to finish him off.'
Kai turned around with a smile and Ryou hid the glass behind his back. "Hi, Nana! You tun here to pway?"
Ryou shrugged. "Yeah, sure. Those two sand piles look like a big city."
Kai stood up on the sand. "It's for my whale pwushie!" The little boy giggled.  "Dey wook weawy small! I wike to mate dese betaws I tan squissssh dem wike dis!"
Kai lifted his foot and slammed it on top of the sand pillar.
The little boy let out a loud, piercing cry of pain. The boy lifted his foot and fell back onto the sand.
Ryou watched the little boy's foot bleed, several shards of broken glass pierced the skin and were embedded deep.  Kai held his ankle tightly and wailed.
Ryou picked up the boy and the whale. "NAAAAAANAAAA!!! WAHHH! IT HURTS!"
Ryou grabbed the basket and carried Kai into the forest.
'There's a river around here...it's a nice, secluded area. No one will hear him scream.'
Kai's bleeding foot dangled as Ryou carried him. the boy sobbed and screamed into Ryou's chest.
Ryou put the basket down and carried Kai to the river. "I have to wash your feet. Kai, you can be such a klutz."
Kai cried louder. "I'm sowwwyyyy!"
Ryou shoved the leg under the rushing current, making Kai struggle to pull  his leg away.
"Dat hurts!"
Kai tried pulled his leg from Ryou's grip and failed.
Ryou held the child's ankle and pulled out the shards of embedded glass.
"Oh, stop whining!"
Kai arched his back and cried, flailing his arms. The little boy grabbed his whale plushie and held it close to his body as Ryou pulled out the glass.
When the shards had been yanked and removed, Ryou put Kai's shoes and socks back on.
Kai sniffled and rubbed his eye.
“Now are you going to be a good boy or does Nana have to spank you?”
Kai shook his head. “No. I'll be good, Nana.”
Ryou nodded. “Good boy. Now, here's your sandwich.”
Ryou handed Kai his sandwich and the boy smiled up at him. “Thank you, Nana.”
Kai bit into his sandwich and chewed happily, the pain momentarily forgotten in his foot.
Ryou moved behind him and reached into the picnic basket to grab the hammer. `It won't take much to kill him. Just a good smack on the back of the head…just enough to penetrate the skull. It won't be hard. I can do this.'
Kai moved his whale plushie close to him as he ate his sandwich.
Ryou hovered over Kai's back, the hammer gripped tightly in his hand.
He glared down at the little boy eating his sandwich.
`Time to die…..my little sacrifice.'
Ryou raised the hammer.
“Ryou!” he heard someone call.
Ryou quickly hid the hammer behind his back as he saw Mokuba and Joey running up towards him.
`Damn it! I was so close!'
Ryou hurriedly put the hammer back in the basket before the two men ran up to him.
“Puppy!!!” Kai squealed loudly.
Behind Mokuba, his children followed him.
“Ryou, what are you doin' here?” Joey asked.
“Just taking Kai out for a picnic.”
Kai reached up for Joey. “Puppy, my foot hurts.”
Joey held the child in his arms. “Aww….why?”
“He stepped on glass in the sandbox.”
“Oh god, are you okay, Kai?”
Kai sniffled and burst into tears again.
“We should get him home,” Joey said. “Come on, Kai. Poor little chibi boy.”
Kai wrapped his arms around Joey's shoulders and cried loudly.
Lily, Ceres, Ivy, and Cassie crowded around Ryou's legs and hugged him.
“How are things at home, Ryou? Did Aria move out yet? Seto told me she was thinking about it.”
“She is going to move out, Mokuba. Very soon, I think.”
Ryou burst into tears and Mokuba hugged him.
“Ryou, don't cry. All kids have to fly the nest sometime.”
“But she's going to leave! She's all I have left!”
Mokuba pat Ryou on the back. “She'll still come see you, Ryou. Aten still comes around, doesn't he?”
Ryou nodded.
“See? Cassie, be careful, baby girl!” Mokuba ran for the little girl who was bending over sharp rocks to touch the water. Mokuba picked her up and carried her back to Ryou. “My little girl's into everything.”
Ryou picked up the picnic basket. “I should get going.”
“No go,” Ceres said.
Ivy clutched onto Ryou. “We miss you.”
Lily nodded. “Can we play in the sandbox?”
Mokuba shook his head. “No, Lily, there's glass in the sandbox. We'll go somewhere else.”

*************************
Aten stood in front of his paints with his tablet. "Let's see....I need more red....I need more Forest Green....I can't believe I'm all out of black!"

Robbie turned the page of his book. "Getting ready for the next show?"

Aten nodded. "Yup. Now that I have money in the bank, I have to go buy some paints.  Come
along with me?"

"Sure.  Maybe we can go out for dinner tonight.  What do you say?"

Aten licked his lips. "That sounds like a good idea."

"Aten.....are you upset about this morning?"

Aten shook his head and wrote more colors in Arabic on the paper. "No, why?"

"Well, Yami Aten came out when I started touching you."

"He did?  He didn't hurt you, did he?"

"No, he didn't hurt me. I guess I wanted to make sure that you were okay.  I didn't mean to scare you."

Aten placed his tablet on his chair and sat beside Robbie on the couch. "Robbie, I'm okay. I promise.  I....I really tried to keep my yami back."

Robbie placed his hand on Aten's thigh. "Don't worry about it. No harm done. Listen, while we're out, I want to get you your birthday present. It's coming up next week. What do you want?"

"Next week?  Wow....that isn't far away. Hmm...I guess I have to think about it."

Robbie smiled and brushed Aten's hair behind his ear. "Okay, love, you think about it." Robbie cupped Aten's cheek in his palm.

Aten's brown and purple eyes gazed into the ice-blue eyes of his husband. Aten's long arms wrapped around Robbie beside him and held him close.
The two boys sat quietly cuddling. Robbie rested his head against Aten's chest and listened to the frantic, uneven heartbeat. His fingers rubbed Aten's stomach.
Aten's long fingers slipped through Robbie's curly hair slowly.
Aten heard someone knocking on the front door. “I wonder who that could be.”
****************************
Vera sat outside the home and smoked her cigarette quickly. She inhaled deeply and sighed in relief. “Oh, yes….”
She looked down the street and watched the cars speed by.
“Where is she? She said she would be here.”
A moment later and a cab pulled up to the front. Vera stood up and smiled. She walked to the driver and handed him money. Vera opened the door and out stepped an elderly lady. On her nose she wore spectacles, her mouth only had four teeth…two on top and two on the bottom. Her hair was brown and wavy. Her eyes were green.
“Get my bags from the trunk, Vera.”
The driver popped the hood of the trunk open and Vera grabbed the two suitcases inside.
The old woman looked up at the house. “This is the house?”
“Yes, mum-sy.”
“I can feel the unholy energy from within! This is where the demon lives?”
Vera nodded. “Yes, mummy-dearest.”
The old woman glared up at the house. “I will exorcise the demon within.”
