They had spent the night at a hotel. The next day Bakura and Alex went to a store. Bakura waited by a plant for Alex. He was beginning to worry because this was her fifth time in the bathroom. This was the third store they've been to. She came out of the swinging door and she walked right into the little bush and tripped over it. Bakura was there a second after she fell. He picked up the bush, sat it straight and then took Alex's hand and helped her up. He put his arm around her waist and her arm around his neck. He started to smirk but shook it away. He bid a thank you and a good-bye to the manager and went through the store door. She was starting to put more weight on him than she was supporting her own weight. They barely reached the streetlight when she went limp and Bakura couldn't hold her anymore. He pulled her into an ally way and set her down. He put his hand onto her forehead and she moaned.

"Your head is burning"

He looked up and sown the ally way. It had some doors that were obviously home to some people but it didn't look like they were friendly. One had writing on it that said, "Screw any one who rings" and "girls are more than welcome to stay here". Bakura laughed a little. He remembered when he used to live here. He and some friends of his had lived in number four and there were always girls coming in. One day he had found a girl that he was very interested at a club and he brought her home to meet the guys. They went to the kitchen to get a drink but found that there weren't any. So Bakura went to the store to get some, leaving the girl behind. It was when he was buying the beer when a thought came into his head. What happened to all the girls that came to the house everyday? How come they never came back? He went into his car and drove back. He was at the doorstep when he heard some screaming coming from inside. He went inside and saw that the boys weren't in the living watching TV. He ran to the kitchen and saw that the girl was on the table, naked. Bakura was wide eyed when he saw that the boys were undressing.

"Come one Bakura. You will be a true member if you do this."

One of the guys, Josh, reached for the girl and forced her on the table. He covered her mouth so the screaming couldn't be heard and started about to climb on top of her. Bakura couldn't let this happen to her. He reached over to the kitchen draw and pulled out a gun. He cocked it and pointed it at Josh.

"You let her go"

The girls pleading eyes looked at Bakura. He looked at her. Josh looked at him and climbed down. He put his hand up and started to move toward his clothes, Bakura watching his every move. He reached down to his pants and quickly got a gun. The girl screamed but was silenced by one of the other guys, Jake. Jake was holding her mouth and her hands so she can't escape. Bakura moved to the girl when a gunfire went off. Bakura fell to the ground and was clenching his arm. Blood started to run down his arm. The gun was in front of him. He stared at it.

"Go ahead Bakura. Get it and shoot me"

He spread out his arms and was facing the ceiling.

"Ya see Bakura we are brothers. You can't…"

There was another fire and Josh fell to the ground, lying motionless. Bakura looked up and saw that Jake was holding Bakura's gun. He went over to Josh and looked at him. Bakura knew what happened.

"Jake…"

"Bakura, I'm going to call the police and turn myself in. You take the girl home. I have been doing this for so long that I know that it was wrong."

Bakura watched him and nodded. He went over to the girl's clothes and got them then returned them back to her. She quickly got dressed and went into the living room. Bakura followed but stopped at the doorway. He looked back at Jake who was still looking at Josh.

"Jake"

Jake turned to Bakura.

"Thank you"

Jake smiled.

"Like Josh said, we're brothers"

Bakura smiled and left.

That was the last time he ever saw that girl and Jake. He wondered what had happened to him. He went to number four and saw that it said for sale. He knocked on the door but nobody answered. He went back to Alex, picked her up, and went to the door. He tried to open it but it was stuck so he kicked it open. It went with a slam on the wall and Bakura went into it. It had the same stuff it had when he left. The couch, the table and its lamp, the picture of the playboy of the month girl, the dusty old rug, everything. He laid Alex down on the couch when he heard the pitter patter of the rain outside. He went outside and felt the rain. It was coming down hard. He closed the door and went to the kitchen. It had everything too except some pizza. Bakura went over to it and saw that it looked fresh. He touched it and felt that it was still warm too. He stepped back and looked around cautiously. He turned but bumped into something or someone. The person threw Bakura down and pointed a gun at him. The guy was in the shadows so Bakura couldn't tell who or what he was doing but he watched as the gun went from Bakura to the pizza.

"You touched my pizza. You know my rules. Now I gotta shoot ya"

Bakura's face went from worried to a little relief.

"Jake?"

"The one and only. Good to see ya again Bakura"

Jake put the gun away and held out a hand. Bakura took it and was lifted up. He dusted himself off and looked at his friend. Jake came out from the shadows and was smiling. His smile was clean but the rest of him was dirty. His clothes were torn and his hair was filled with grease. But Bakura didn't mind. He was just glad this was his friend and not another gangster.

"I thought you had turned yourself in?"

"That was just something to get you going. You think that you would've gone when I told you that I was staying here? I did call the cops and they came. They searched the place but they didn't find me"

"Where were you hiding?"

"In the laundry room. The smell was too strong even for gas masks"

Bakura chuckled.

"What are you doing here anyway?"

"I was walking a friend back to her house but it started to rain and we had a while to go"

Jake raised an eyebrow but Bakura gave him a `friend ya hear, friend!' look. He went to the living room and went to the light switch. He flicked it on but nothing happened. Jake snickered.

"They shut off the power after they dragged Josh's body"

Bakura sighed and went outside. There was a thump outside and the lights went on. Jake, as soon his eyes adjusted to the light, saw Alex's body. He raised his eyebrow again.

"Oooh. Nice choice Bakura, nice choice"

Jake went to the couch and bent down. He looked at every texture of her face. He was about to touch her skin when her eyes flew open and she saw his raggedy look. She screamed and jumped up. Alex punched Jake in the face and he flew back, landing on the coffee table. He landed with a crash and the table fell into pieces. He moaned and got up. He was about to say something but she kicked him where it hurts and he went back down again. She went running to the door and opened it when she ran into Bakura.

"Oh thank god, Bakura! This guy was going to molest me!"

Bakura looked at Jake and saw that he was on the ground curled up in a ball, tears coming down his face.

"Is this true Jake?"

"Jake? He is a friend of yours?"

"A very old friend but by the looks of it he looks like he just got molested himself"

Alex looked at Jake and she ran to him. She started to apologize and ask him where it hurts.

"Everywhere"

She started to rub his arm so that the pain stopped. Bakura blushed at this scene and went towards them.

"He will be fine. He has been through a lot before"

He picked Alex up and went to the couch. As he gave her the blankets he looked back at Jake. Jake, who was enjoying Alex, looked at Bakura with an evil grin then his eyes turned all watery and started to wince in pain and whine. Alex looked over Bakura's shoulder and was watching him try to get up. He tipped and fell down and this caused Alex to jump up and run to him. Bakura watched, in jealous rage, as Alex helped Jake up and walked him over to the couch. She laid him down and sat right next to him. She put her hand on his arm and started to rub it again. Jake pretended that it hurt but it felt good. Alex told Bakura to watch him while she went to the kitchen to get something. Bakura turned to Jake.

"You lying bastard"

"Awwww come on Bakura. No girl has come here for a long time and I'm feeling so horny that I could explode"

"That doesn't mean that you could take her"

"Why Bakura. Do you love her?"

Bakura Blushed.

"No."

Jake looked at Bakura like he was a practical joke trying to make him laugh. Bakura turned away.

`Wasn't it the truth? I mean I've already got a girlfriend.'

Bakura was troubled by this. He was thinking about this when Alex came into the room and asked why there wasn't anything to eat.

"Cause I have no money"

Bakura snapped back into reality the moment he heard these words. He knew what was coming.

"But I know how to get money" Jake was smiling devilishly.

"How?" Alex said in her innocent voice.

Jake got up and went over to her he took her hand and kissed it softly. Alex blushed and she turned to Bakura. She thought she saw him blush but he actually was turning a shade or two darker than pink.

"Well I know a club where we can get some money and I could -"

"Go by yourself" Bakura interrupted and went in between the two. He faced Jake and gave him a look that made Jake not argue and leave immediately. As soon as Jake left Bakura turned to Alex and put both of his hands on her shoulders.

"Listen, I don't want you going anywhere with this man"

"Why? You said that he was your best friend"

"You don't understand. He has done some unthinkable things to girls like you"

Suddenly he had his arms around her in a full embraced hug.

"I just don't want you to get hurt"

Alex was shocked but at the same time she fully enjoyed this. She closed her eyes and felt relaxed. But Bakura backing away so suddenly that she fell forward and landed on her hands interrupted it. Bakura picked her up and sat her down on the couch. She lay down and pulled the blankets that Bakura had put on her up to her head and watched as Bakura left upstairs. She couldn't sleep so she thought about the scene that just happened. She didn't want to fall in love with someone just because he looked like Ryou. She didn't want to fall in love at all. Nobody could replace Ryou. A tear came to her eye but she buried it in the couch arm. She snuggled under the covers and fell asleep. If she had been awake longer then she would've seen Jake come in and Bakura standing in the kitchen talking to him.

The next day, early in the morning Bakura woke up Alex. She opened her eyes and saw Bakura put a finger to his lips. Alex got up and yawned sleepily.

"What's going on Bakura?"

She whispered so quietly that she had to ask Bakura again.

"There is some business that Jake has to deal with out side the front door. By the looks of it, it isn't going too well"

Alex was fully awake and finally knew that she was in the kitchen. She got up and went to where Bakura was. She peered over his shoulder and saw that Jake was sitting on the couch, his lip bleeding. She gasped and Bakura covered her mouth, but it was too late. Some guys had stomped over and took hold of Bakura. Alex went over to the back door and reached for the doorknob but she was snatched back and dragged over to the living room. She was thrown on the couch and onto Bakura's lap. She blushed and quickly moved to the side. Alex looked up at the men. The men were bikers. She could tell because they had leather jackets, tattoos, beanies, and had scraggily beards. They stared at Bakura.

"Well if it isn't murderer number two"

Alex looked at them in disgust.

"Bakura isn't a murderer! And who is the first murderer?"

"Well you are sitting by him"

Alex looked at Jake.

"How could he be a murderer?"

She looked at him again and this time she saw him nod his head. Her eyes widened and she turned to Bakura. She was hoping that he would shake his head but he also nodded. She looked down at the ground.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I didn't want you to think I was a bad person"

"Alright enough chit chat. I've come here on behalf of Josh. Where is the money?"

Nobody answered and that angered one of the bikers. He got up and pulled out a gun. He dragged Alex by the hair to the floor and pointed it at her.

"I won't ask again"

Sesiani: Yay another cliffy! This was longer and harder to write. But it turned out great. * sniff sniff * I think I'm gonna cry. @_@

Bakura: You did a good job. Uh… maybe we should have a contest… just for fun.

Sesiani: Okay. But where are Yugi and the rest.

Joey: They said they were going to some class.

Mokuba: Yeah, an anger management class.

Joey: If only we could send mister money bags there.

Kiaba: Hey!

Sesiani: Oh Joey that's so mean!

Kiaba: Yeah.

Joey: What!?

Sesiani: I'll talk to you later mister. Please review.
