CHP.4 Mysterious message

After the duel had ended, I claimed my prize, my opponent's prize Harpie Lady Sisters card (AN: no, not Mai) and his locator card, and walked away, in search of a new challenge. I briefly saw a tall, muscular man in dark garb, but he kept his face hidden. I walked on, unaware that he was watching me. Then, I saw one of the Rare Hunters, the one called Lumis: short, fat, and bald, he never strayed too far from his companion, who was tall, thin, and had short, blue hair, spiking upwards. The latter was not in sight. I shrugged, and walked on, only to receive a challenge from him

- "You! I challenge you to a Duel!

- Fuck off. I'm not in the mood for your bullshit

- What? Coward! Run before defeat if you wish.

- God, what an idiot. Fine, I'll whoop your ass, so you can leave me alone. You want to go first, or should I?

D(Duelist): 4000 L: 4000

- I will go! I set 1 facedown card, and a monster in defense mode.

- Figures. Let's see, set…one…two…three cards, and a monster in defense mode. You're up, bub.

- I sacrifice my facedown Portrait's secret, for Summoned Skull, in attack mode! (atk: 2500) Summoned Skull, destroy his facedown card!

- You wish. Activate Negate Attack. Anything else you want to try? No? Good, then it's my turn. I sacrifice my facedown Sinister Serpent, for a monster, which I set facedown. Then, I activate Mask of Restrict, and Mask of the Accursed, on Summoned Skull. Your turn.

- All right then. (L: 3500). Set 1 card, and 1 monster. Your turn.

- Ok. Slate Warrior in attack mode. (atk: 1900) Activate Gravity Bind. Your turn.

- (L:3000) I activate Spellbinding Circle, on Slate Warrior.

- Chain, with Solemn Wishes.

- Activate Curse of the Masked Beast. Wait, what?

- Moron. You can't Ritual-Summon, because you can't tribute!

- Then, Card Destruction. Flip my Slate Warrior to attack mode (atk: 2400). Your turn.

- Ok, now watch this: Giant Trunade, sacrifice Slate Warrior and Total defense Shogun, for Tyrant dragon (atk: 2900). Activate Riryoku, designate Slate Warrior and Tyrant Dragon. (SW atk: 1200) (TD atk: 4100). Harpie's Feather Duster, Raigeki, and then Tyrant Dragon attacks. (L: 0000) I win.

- Damn. You claim my Masked Beast!

- I'll let you keep it, if and only if you tell me a few things: Who leads the Rare Hunters?

- Allow me to introduce myself." The little guy suddenly said, as the Eye flared on his forehead. "My name is Malik Ishtar.

- Malik. <that means King in Arabic> so, you lead the Rare Hunters. What do you want?

- To retrieve what is rightfully mine!

- The Millennium Puzzle. And the Ring, and the Eye, and the Key, and the Scales.

- Indeed, as well as the Egyptian God Cards. You're quick, I could use you. <He's incredibly intelligent. Perhaps he knows of the Ancient Texts>

- Or perhaps you don't have to.

- What do you mean?

- I have a proposition to make: I've met the one you seek, Yugi Motou. I will help you get to him, if in return, you'll employ me and a friend in your organization.

- And why would I do that?

- Well, first off, I know you're always on the lookout for rare and powerful cards. So are we. And, I can tell you I've got some rare cards myself. For example, these two:

- The Right arm and Leg of the Forbidden One!

- Yep. And, I know where to get the other three parts. The actual, original set. Not a copy, the real ones. Then, there's Necros.

- What?

- Exodia Necros: the darkest and most powerful form of Exodia. You see, the 5 individual pieces of Exodia can easily be targeted. But, Necros is one monster card, and a magic card.

- Come to Battle City, and I'll show you.

- Very well." And the Rare Hunter slumped against the wall.

- "Feeling a little used?" I laughed, and walked away, putting his locator card, one of three, in my pocket.

- "Well, what happened?

- I've secured more rare and powerful cards than I know what to do with. No doubt I'll find some use for them.

- Very well. Remind me again, why we're doing this?

- It pays well. Then, we'll be able to afford…

- All right, then, Will. I'm with you.

- Thanks Yuna. Thanks a lot." As I spoke over the videophone in my apartment, I poured myself a Coke. I drank it all in one gulped, and after turning of the phone, I returned to improving my deck. <I'm going to need it to be much stronger soon. > Then, the doorbell rang, and a short, squat little man with a mustache, and wearing a fez, asked me:

- "Package for Mr. Will Pearson. Are you Will Pearson, sahib?

- Yes.

- Package for you, sahib." He scurried away, and I opened it to see a set of photographs of stone tablets, and a message, along with a red vest, and sunglasses. The message read:

"WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE A VERY RARE AND POWERFUL CARD? MEET ME AT DOMINO CITY HALL, AT 21:35, TOMMOROW. WEAR THESE.

The signature was a simple BS…>
