Beauty Contest Judge- Yugi Moto!

Yugi: (Glares at DJ) DJ, you've really crossed the line this time!

Darien: What can we say? We like what we do! (Chuckles playfully) You guys and girls are just going to laugh at this!

DJ: Yep! This time, I'm going all the way here! And also, if any of you would be so kind as to make a Yugi/Dark Magician Girl fanfic of any rating? Thank you.

Now, on with the fanfic!)

Chapter 1

It was July 8, 2004. Yugi Moto was relaxing on the couch in the living room at his home, the Turtle Game Shop. It had been three months since he and the rest defeated Malik at Battle City Tournament. He had acquired the Millennium Items, the three Egyptian God cards, and also rescued the souls of Joey and Mai. Yami also acquired a body of his own, and the two treated the other like brothers. For now, they were all enjoying a well-deserved break. Then, Yami came into the shop/home and he had a stack of envelopes in his hand.

Yami was approaching him and he said, "Yugi, it looks like the mail came today.".

He put the stack on the coffee table, and Yugi sorted through them. Most of them were bills, but a very unique letter caught his attention. It was an envelope with nearly perfect cursive writing, gold lines embrodied on the side. When he picked it up, it felt slightly heavier then the others.

"Yugi, do you know who sent it to you?", the ex-pharaoh asked.

Yugi shook his head and replied, "No idea. Let's see on what it is, shall we?".

He opened the letter, and took out a large slip of paper. It was folded over twice, but when he unfolded it, he was very much surprised on what it said. He read:

Dear Mr. Yugi Moto,

We, the people at City Hall here in Domino City, are throwing the first ever Miss Domino City Beauty Pageant. It will happen four weeks from now.

As you know, you are the #1 Duelist not only in Domino City, but in all the world. That has given you a status equal to that of a celebrity. Because of that, you are chosen to be one of the three judges to the pageant.

The other two are Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom. Both have graciously accepted our invitations to judge the contest, and we are hoping you would do the same.

If you are unable to do so, let us know. We will then try to find a substitute to take your place. However, we strongly urge you to accept our invitation. It would mean a lot to us if you accepted.

Thank you for your time, Mr. Moto. We hope to hear from you soon. Please return this letter with your response, and if you accept, we will send you details and instructions later on.

It was unbelievable, to both Yami and Yugi. Yugi read the letter over twice, to make sure he understood correct. Then, he noticed something else. He found a picture inside the envelope, and when he took it out, it was a picture of him! Not Yami's face, but his own! That meant that the city wanted the real Yugi to appear, not Yami.

"Yami? Are you going to tell them that you are the real Duelist here?", the small hero asked his friend. Although they had worked together in a sense, Yami's face was always on the dueling scenes. So, he assumed that the city made a mistake in photo identity.

Yami shook his head, some wisdom showing on his face. He replied, "No, Yugi. And for two reasons; one, you are the real Duelist here. I may have been Dueling physically, but it was always you who spurned me on when the times would get real tough.". Yami knew it was true, for Yugi was the quiet hero in the background and always by his side.

'Its high time he was in the spotlight now. My time has passed, and his time starts now.', he thought.

He continued, "Second, an opportunity like this happens once in a lifetime. Go on, join it. I believe you might actually like it.".

Yugi smiled slightly at his friend, thanking him for the words. He looked at the letter, and started to go into thinking. After a few moments, he made up his mind.

"Alright, I'll do it! Thanks for the encouragement, Yami.", he said before going to the kitchen with the letter. He was going to reply that he was accepting their invitation.

Yami slowly strode out of the living room, making his way up the stairs. By the time he was up, he made sure Yugi was out of range on this one. Making sure, he then started to laugh up a storm.

"Hahahaha! I'm sure lucky that Yugi bought it!", he said to himself as he laughed with mirth.

He continued, "I maybe an all-powerful being now, but I know better then to do something like that! By Ra, Yugi is going to have one hell of a time on this one!".

Yami said this, because he knew that smart men valued their lives greatly. They didn't want to commit suicide, and this was one of them. Yugi was going to be a judge at a beauty pageant, and with many females in the city, and him being a more prime target, he was going to be hounded by them all.

"When Tea, Mai, Serenity, and Ishizu hear of this, they are going to do everything in their power to convince Yugi to vote for them! This is going to be good entertainment!", Yami exclaimed before entering his room. As he entered his new abode, he heard the door open, then slam shut. That meant that Yugi had finished writing, and was now going to deliver the letter.

Just then, a very evil smirk crept up on his face. 'Well, as long as this is going on, I might as well make it more interesting!', he said to himself.

He opened a portal to the Shadow Realm, stepped in, and the swirling vortex closed silently. This was going to be one heck of a ride for our little hero!

~A week later~

A week's time had passed, and it had been fairly quiet. The news of him being a judge of the beauty contest slowly started to slip away from the young man's mind. At first, he was nervous. Deep down, he had a feeling that Yami had another reason not to be a judge.

"I don't know why, but Yami seemed to be very quick about met agreeing with being a judge.", he told himself as he walked home from the Arcade.

Another strange thing was that he had seen little of Yami since the invitation. The scant times he had seen him was at breakfast and dinner. When he asked on where Yami had been, the ex-ruler simply stated that he had personal matters to attend to at the Shadow Realm.

'Its like he's hiding something. But, what?', the small hero thought.

He passed by a local store that sold home appliances and TV sets. A large TV was set up in the front, protected by a large, clear window frame. A commercial played, and when Yugi saw it, he froze dead in his tracks.

The commercial showed Domino City Stadium, decorated in all sorts of brilliant lights and various decorations. The scenery showed it was nighttime, and it made for quite a place.

A male announcer spoke out, "Coming soon, ladies and gentleman, Domino City presents its very first annual Miss Domino City Beauty Pageant!".

People from all around the neighborhood started to stop and look at the commercial. Most of these onlookers where girls and women of various ages.

The announcer continued, "That's right, everyone! Domino City is hosting its very first beauty contest, and it starts in three weeks! The winner of the pageant will be crowed and dubbed Miss Domino City Beauty Queen, and take the prize of $500,000! To apply, please go to Domino City Stadium for rules, admission, and registration.".

The picture then switched immediately to five very lovely ladies, showing on how enticing the pageant was going to be to the male population. However, when the announcer went to what the judges where, Yugi then realized on why Yami had declined his offer to be the judge in the first place.

The picture then switched to three black, empty vertical rectangles. The announcer stated, "There will be three judges that will participate in this tremendous event. The first judge is Viggo Mortensen, worldly known as Aragorn from the movie series The Lord of the Rings.".

The girls all around started to scream and swoon as they saw the handsome face of the actor who played the mighty Ranger turned King in the first box. When the second judge made his appearance, the screaming just got louder.

"The next judge for this contest is Orlando Bloom, an actor in many movies, but being more identified with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.", the announcer continued.

'Uh oh, I better get out of here quick.', Yugi thought as he slowly and silently creeped out of the massive crowd. However, he wasn't lucky enough.

The announcer finished it off, "And finally, our third judge is from Domino City herself! He's the #1 Duelist of the game Duel Monsters! Its Yugi Moto!!".

As the picture of the small hero appeared, the girls stopped screaming and gasped in shock. One of them, a very well-endowed blonde teenage girl, exclaimed, "Yugi Moto?! Wasn't he here a moment ago?!".

Everyone looked to their right, and saw familiar tri-colored hair sticking out from a small teen that tried to hide his head. "There he is! There is Yugi Moto!!", the same girl exclaimed.

Yugi saw them, then ran for his life! Everyone was now chasing him, and we all know why. He had to duck and dodge at every turn, because as he passed more and more districts, more and more people started to join in the frenzy.

'This is crazy!', the small hero thought as he ran, thousands of people swarming right behind him!

An hour later, at 5:50 p.m., he made it to the Game Shop. Scrambling in, he slammed the door shut and locked it tight. Once inside the safe sanctuary, he saw the thousands of women, girls, and men now packing in tight to try and see or talk to Mr. Moto.

"Ahh, man! I'm glad that's over.", he muttered to himself as he walked/limped towards the living room. Unfortunatly, bad news was awaiting him.

When he got in, he saw Yami sprawled out on the couch. It appears that he was waiting for his hikari to return. The dark version of Yugi sat up, stretched, and gave off a small smirk to the young one.

"I take it you heard the announcement?", he asked the frightened hero.

Yugi exclaimed, "I did! And about half of Domino City did too! They are out there right now, demanding for me to see them!". His hunch was right; Yami really did lay this on him, knowing the consequences.

Yami smirk widened as he replied, "That is good to hear. Well, I'm going to my room to rest up.".

As he walked past a very shocked Yugi, he walked up the stairs. However, he turned around and glanced down at his shocked light.

"By the way, there is something I should tell you know.", he started to say.

Yugi really didn't like the tone to his voice, feeling that things were about to get worse.

Yami stated, "Thanks to the invitation you got, I was inspired by it. So now, I've been in the Shadow Realm doing some projects of my own. Now, I'm going to host a beauty contest in the Shadow Realm too!".

Yugi sighed in relief, thinking that Yami was going to be a judge, and see him going through the trials he was about to endure. However…

"It's going to be a day after the pageant finishes. Nearly all of the Shadow Realm is looking forward to it, especially the ladies.", he continued on.

Yugi asked, "Who will the judges be?".

Yami's smirk formed an evil/playful grin as he answered, "Alex (a.k.a- Axe Raider), Derek (a.k.a- D. Human), and… you.".

Yugi's jaw just dropped straight to the ground, as he heard his friend state that he was a judge in the Shadow Realm Beauty Pageant!

Yami laughed at seeing his friend's shocked state. He finished while laughing, "You better prepare yourself, Yugi! For the weeks ahead is going to be very interesting! Hahahaha!".

As he walked back upstairs, Yugi just stood in the living room in shock. 'I'm a judge here in the real world, now I'm a judge in the Shadow world?!?!', his mind raced on.

~Meanwhile, at Téa's home~

At Téa Gardner's house, the young lady was squealing in delight. She had just heard the news, and was all a giddy about it.

"Yeah! Now, I can show my stuff and let the whole city see on what I can do!", she exclaimed. She was excited about this contest; to show her beauty, her talent… and also grab Yugi's attention. She had a crush on him ever since she could remember.

'Now that he's in the pageant, I just know I'll win! After all, he is my best friend. He wouldn't let me lose!', she thought. She thought of ideas on how to grab his attention, all of them very… intimate.

She got dressed quickly and dashed off towards the Stadium.

~At Mai's house~

The busty, saucy blonde was bust putting on some clothes, hearing the news the same as Tea did. She was really hyped up on being in the pageant, confident that she was going to win.

'Yugi will vote for me! After all, I'm a close friend of his! I bet I can… convince him to do so.', she thought with lusty visions of her and Yugi now dancing in her head.

Yugi had captured her heart some time ago, and it intensified when he and Yami rescued her from oblivion. She strapped on her purse and soon went out to register.

~At Joey's house~

Serenity was pacing around in her room, trying to find the right clothes. She was planning on registering herself, when she heard the news. Now, she was hearing Joey's rants. He was shouting out his plans on getting for Yugi to vote for his sister.

Serenity shook her head and muttered, "I don't want any help, Joey. I want to do this on my own.".

Besides being nervous for entering a contest, she was also nervous on how Yugi would think of her. Like Tea and Mai, she too had a crush on the young hero. When she heard the entire truth from Joey on how she got her sight back and who really taught him the game Duel Monsters, she had admiration and respect for the young lad.

'I hope I won't disappoint.', she thought as she walked out of the apartment and towards the Stadium.

~At the Museum~

Ishizu was now preparing for the contest as well, very much wanting to show off her physical features and talents.

"It has been a long while since I have done something like this. I hope I'm not too bad.", she said to herself. She got into some descent clothes, for the first time ever not going out in a robe.

'This will make quite an interesting event. I hear that Yugi is going to be one of the judges.', she thought with a smile. To her, Seto was just too cold and arrogant for her taste. She trusted Yugi completely, and when he saved her brother Marik from vanishing forever, her heart was now captured by him.

'Yugi, today you see Ishizu in a new light!', she declared as entertaining thoughts entered her head. With a slight giggle from seeing that… suggestive vision, she went out to register.

(Author's Notes: So, it begins! Yugi is going to be judges at 2 pageants, and it seems that some of the ladies here will do anything to make sure they win!

Yugi: Hey, I want to vote fair and honestly! Can't they just leave me be?!

Darien: Nope. Besides, what kind of story would it be if they did that? Just relax and enjoy the attention, Yugi boy.

DJ: Here are the categories for the pageant. Be very specific in all three. It is based on:

1.) Evening wear- Gowns, dresses, etc.

2.) Swimsuits- Swimsuits, bikinis, etc.

3.) Talent- Singing, dancing, dueling, etc.

Yugi: For the questions for the my fangirls, would you enter this pageant? And also, since the categories for the pageant are listed above, what would you wear (for both evening and swim suit) and what would you show as your personal talent?

DJ: If you ladies want to participate in this, just tell me! I'll include you in it, I promise! Just give me your preferred name (real or no), and also the list of clothes you will wear for the pageant!
