Beauty Contest Judge- Yugi?!

(Author's Notes: Sorry for the delay, ladies and gentleman. I hope you forgive me for it, but I had other projects on my mind that I needed to complete.

Darien: We haven't forgotten this, and we are more then willing to make it up to all of you! Before we continue, DJ requests that you check out his other fanfics, Yugi meets the Saber Dolls and Monster Mayhem!

Chapter 8

It was about a 45 minute long wait, but it was worth it. Yugi purchased the tickets for the movie, and the couple made their way to the screen room where it was playing at. Little did they know, but Miranda and Laura were following them. Not only had they purchased the same movie, but they wanted to make sure Téa didn't corrupt innocent Yugi.

"Think the movie will be scary enough, Laura?", Miranda asked her friend as they sat down behind Yugi and Téa.

The redhead replied, "The only thing that can scare me right now is seeing that girl putting ANY kind of moves on Yugi!".

The movie was about to start in 20 minutes, and that was when Yugi volunteered to go get some snacks at the Snack Bar. Téa ordered some popcorn, plain M&M's, and some Big Red. Yugi bowed playfully at his date, then set off to retrieve the snacks.

"Yugi's so silly.", the brunette chuckled to herself.

Miranda was thinking the same thing, but Laura was still concentrating on Téa. She did not trust the girl, and was going to be watching her like a hawk the entire time!

Fifteen minutes later, Yugi came back with the snacks. He also carried a hot dog and a large Dr. Pepper. He gave his date her treats, then sat down beside her with his own. Yugi asked, "Téa, why did you want to see this movie? I thought you didn't like horror movies?".

Téa just smiled at him and answered, "Well, it seemed to be a good film at the time. Besides, with you by my side, it won't be so scary for me.". She then held his hand, which made the tri-colored haired teen blush some.

Soon, the lights dimmed down and the room was cast in darkness. The screen came to life, and it signaled that the movie was about to begin!

~Two hours later~

The people were now leaving the screening room, most of them very hyped up on what they saw at the end of Aliens vs. Predator. Some were saying, "That was so cool! I bet a sequel is coming after that!" or "Man, that movie was right up there with Freddy vs. Jason! Too cool!".

Yugi and Téa were the last to leave, very much in high spirits. The movie was actually good for them, having a solid plot and everything! Of course, the movie was much more enjoyable for the brunette, on account she had excuses when she would latch onto Yugi's arm or hold his head close to her bosom.

"Yugi, that movie was alright!", she told him with a spring in her step.

Yugi chuckled and agreed with her. It made his day to see his friend cheerful and happy. Although, he was a bit curious on why she had held onto him for so long during most of the picture.

Going outside, they saw that it was nighttime and also very late. Yugi and Téa decided to walk home, since the theater was close and all. But, being the gentleman Yugi was, he walked his friend home first. It was going to be a long, lonely walk back to his place, but as long as Téa arrived home safe and sound, it was worth it.

Miranda and Laura were still following Yugi, the redhead convinced that Téa was up to no good. She insisted that was the case when they saw Téa just smothering Yugi all through the movie.

Miranda asked, "What are we going to do if we catch that girl doing something to Yugi?".

Laura answered, "It won't be pretty.".

In twenty-five minutes, Yugi finally got Téa home. Along the way, they just talked about this and that. However, Téa was always getting closer to Yugi, which was making the little guy nervous. When they got there, he was relieved to see that tonight was going to come to an end.

"Well, thanks for the wonderful time, Yugi. I really enjoyed it.", Téa whispered as she stood inside her home.

Yugi said it was no problem, and was glad to see that she had a good time. He was about to leave, when Téa stopped him. She inquired shyly, "Doesn't a gentleman always kiss his girlfriend good-night?".

Yugi was now very nervous and his face blushed like an overripe tomato. He said weakly, "Yes, but… technically, I'm not your boyfriend. You're my best friend.".

Téa frowned, then decided to take the iniative. She grabbed his collar, and brought him closer to her. His face was now mere centimeters from hers, and he was gulping at seeing the predatory look on her face.

"Its about time we changed that.", she whispered. Before she could plant one on him, a voice shouted out, "Freeze! Stop what you're doing!".

Yugi and his crazy friend froze, wondering where it came from. Yugi, fearing it was thugs, broke free and pushed Téa in her home. He said, "Téa, stay in here! I'll lead them away from here!". He closed the door, made sure it was locked, and started to run back to his home. His goal was to lead whoever it was away from Téa's home, so she could be safe.

Upon seeing him flee, Laura and Miranda came out from the shadows. They were grinning, seeing that they ruined the girl's chances of taking advantage of Yugi. Téa came out of her home, and looked around to see on who was around.

"Alright, who did that?! Who yelled out and stopped me?!", she called out, very ticked off.

The two girls made their appearance before her and stated, "We did!".

Miranda asked, "What's your name, girl?".

Téa answered, "My name is Téa Gardner. Now, who the in the hell are you two?!".

Laura answered, "I'm Laura, and this is my friend Miranda. Answer us this, witch? Are you in the beauty contest too?".

The busty brunette retorted, "And what if I am?!".

Miranda shrieked and exclaimed, "How dare you try and corrupt little Yugi, just so he could vote for you?!".

This got the young Duelist all fired up! She stomped towards them, fire burning in her eyes. It was the same for the two other girls as well. Téa shouted at them, "I wasn't corrupting him! I was just trying to get him to be my boyfriend!!".

Laura smirked and shot back, "Yeah, right. We saw on how you grabbed him, little hag. You just want to use him to win, don't ya?".

Téa rolled up her sleeves, her hands now balled up into tight fists. She growled, "You looking for a fight, Red?".

Miranda and her friend did the same thing their enemy did and stated, "Bring it on, ugly!".

The sounds and screeches of a catfight echoed throughout the neighborhood, waking up a lot of residents. One of them caught the thing on film, and was hoping to send it to a TV show for money.

~Back at Yugi's home~

Yugi had finally arrived home, breathing hard. It was a very long run from Téa's home to his, but it was worth it. He was hoping those "thugs" that stopped them from kissing had followed him, and also lost him as well. His heart was pounding… both from the run, and also the near kiss that Téa initiated.

He was very freaked out on what Téa nearly did. He only saw her as a best friend, nothing more or less. There wasn't a certain spark between them that would allow them to take their relationship to the next level.

"Man, things are going weird enough already as it is.", he said to himself as he slowly climbed upstairs to his room. He was hoping that the day would be better tomorrow.

As he plopped down on his bed, he was unaware that some Duel Monster girls were making plans of their own. Plans to make him theirs, and have their place in the Duel Monsters beauty contest secured. How much can one guy take?

Will Yugi be able to survive the onslaughts, both in the real and the Shadow world?
