In any case, thanks for the replies once more.   Darien: Also, DJ is now working on three projects, which will consume much of his time. Add college and work in the mix, and there is little he can do about his writing.   Now, on with the fanfic!)  

Chapter 10

  The morning sun filtered down to the city below, Domino City to be precise. Yugi woke up from his slumber, feeling a little groggy. And who could blame him? Night after night, crazy females, all who wanted his attention and vote in the beauty contests had hounded him. ‘If Kami has any mercy, he’ll strike me down with a lighting bolt.’, he thought to himself as he got out of bed.   He went to the bathroom to take a shower, later got dressed, and lastly went downstairs to eat. He was getting a bowl out to make himself some cereal in the kitchen, when he heard the TV come on in the living room. ‘Probably Yami.’, he thought as he went to the cabinet to take out some cereal.   He was about to get out the milk from the fridge when an announcement was made. He heard a newsman state, “Also, in current events, the Domino City Beauty Pageant has been moved up. Yes, ladies and gentleman, the officials of the contest have moved the event up drastically. Now, it will begin in two days.”.   Yugi froze where he was, shocked on what he heard. He soon heard a small clatter at the doorway, and Yami called out for him to answer it. Slowly, like a victim in a horror movie, he slowly approached the front door. When he removed the curtain and peeked out… he saw hundreds of people out there!! Most of them were women!   “This isn’t happening. This is all just a dream! Just a very… intense, dramatic dream.”, he said to himself as he quickly ducked down and slumped to the floor.   “Yugi, quick! This way!”, a female voice shouted out. Yugi’s eyes widened when he heard it, but was relieved to see that it was just Serenity and Ishizu.   “How did you get in here?”, he inquired as they helped him off the floor.   “We snuck around through the back door. Quick, let’s get you outta this madhouse!”, Ishizu explained as they made haste to freedom.   While the mob was currently outside, just pounding at the door and begging for Yugi to come out, the trio slipped out the back and towards safety. They got a good distance from the Game Shop, and Yugi let out a sigh of relief. “Well, at least we’re safe here. Thanks girls!”, he said gratefully.   The two smiled at him, until something just happened that sent things tumbling. A mob of crazy females turned the corner and saw the trio. “Its him!! We found him! Yugi Moto is right here!!”, one of them shouted out.   “RUN!!!”, Yugi exclaimed as he just streaked away fast! Ishizu and Serenity were close at his heels, while the mob chased them. More joined in the melee, and soon half of Domino City were chasing after the young man. He was now running around the city, like a mouse in a maze.   “KAMI, STRIKE ME DOWN!!! PLEASE, SOMEONE UP THERE!!! JUST STRIKE ME DOWN NOW!!! YOU’LL BE DOING ME A FAVOR!!!”, Yugi exclaimed to the heavens as he just scurried away from the crazy mob.   ~A few hours later~   Yugi was out of breath, lying on a plush couch in the Plaza Domino lobby room. Just fifteen minutes ago, he had found the hotel and sought refuge there. Ishizu and Serenity were allowed in, since Yugi explained that they helped him out in the first place. The security teams, and occasional police, were set up so Yugi would be safe.   “Crazy… they are all crazy…”, he muttered as a cold washcloth was applied on his forehead. Serenity and Ishizu have been taking care of him, making sure to cool him down. After all, running in an entire town with a mob of crazy females behind tend to do that to anyone.   “Shhh, Yugi. Juts relax. You’re safe here.”, Ishizu whispered to him.   Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom walked up to the three, both thanking the girls for helping Yugi and also asking if he was okay. “You girls took a very big risk in helping him. Thanks.”, Orlando said.   The two were a little nervous around the two, after all they were superstars and cute to boot. Serenity snapped back to reality and replied, “Hey, it’s the least we can do.”.   Viggo stated, “Well, we like to make sure that you three are comfortable here. Until the crowd quiets down or leaves, you three will be given special deluxe suites.”.   Ishizu and Serenity thanked them immensely for the generous offer, and Yugi just smiled weakly and gave a thumbs-up. The two females then helped Yugi up, taking him to his new suite. Viggo and Orlando escorted them as well, going to the elevators and rising to the top floor.   ~Penthouse Suite~   Yugi, Serenity, and Ishizu’s new suite was the cream of the crop. The room itself was fit for nothing but royalty! It was about the size of the Game Shop itself, lavishly decorated in tasteful furniture and brilliant dark colors, and decked out with the most expensive and up-to-date entertainment technology.   “You three rest here now. Call room service for anything you like. See you later.”, Orlando said before he and his friend left the room.   “I’ll come room service up so we can eat. I know you’re hungry Yugi, since you haven’t eaten yet.”, Serenity said while going to the phone on a polished brown desk.   “Thank you, Serenity. I am a bit hungry after a run like that.”, Yugi replied as he flopped down on the massive, cool Master bed.   Ishizu went to the window next to the bed and looked down. They were about 112 stories up, which was quite high. The crowd was still down at ground level, waiting for their local star to come out.   ‘Idiots.’, Ishizu thought as turned back and tended to her tired crush.   Yugi was just about to drift off in a peaceful slumber, when he received a mental call from Mana. “Master Yugi, can you hear me?”, she called out.   Yugi replied, “I can hear you, Mana. What is it?”.   Mana was hesitant, but she answered, “My Prince, I have some unfortunate news. Pharaoh Yami has moved the beauty pageant up here in the Shadow Realm. It will now start in three days.”.   Yugi said nothing now, his body just ridged now and his mind on the verge of shutting down. “Master Yugi?”, Mana inquired after a long silence.   “Somebody… shoot me now.”, was his last reply before just going out from shock.   Mana sweatdroped, knowing that Yugi did NOT want to hear this piece of news. But, he had to since he was one of the judges. Now, it seemed that Fate and Destiny were just playing around with Yugi. They weren’t finished with him, not by a long shot!   (Author’s Notes: Sorry for both the delay, and the short chapter. But, things have arisen that I’m very unhappy about. Do not worry, for the next chapter will be long.   Darien: We are also sorry for the format, but this never happened before. I wonder why the format is like this at MM.org? In any case, we need your help again.   DJ: The pageant will officially begin in the next chapter, and those that are participating need to let us know on what you shall be doing! Instead of letting us know via review, notify us by e-mail!   Darien: To those that are participating, here are the categories of the pageant: Evening wear, Swimsuits (bikinis and thongs included), and talent. Let us know on what you will be wearing, and the talent you possess.   DJ: Again, the pageant will begin in the next chapter!! Let us know if you are in, or if you like to make some suggestions for the Duel Monster ladies in the Shadow Realm pageant. Also, Yugi needs some body guards.
