If you have read my other one shots, you can now assume that I am a Evanescence addict! Muwhahaha! But anyway, this might be a one shot might not be I have no real clue, and if it's not it will be five chapters probably. You can possibly call this a small sequel to 'The Pharaoh's Gift' by Ryou-Bakura1. But I got the idea from the song before I read her fic. Basically this picks up where Ryou and Bakura run away together and they're running away from Yami's guards.
Disclaimer~ If I owned Yu-Gi-Oh, then, they'd be belly dancing for me right now as we speak since we ARE in ancient Egypt right now. Heh, heh!

Before the Dawn
Ryou's eyes slowly opened and looked at Yami sleeping beside him. He glared and ever so slowly slipped out of Yami's arms and put a pillow in his place. He crept to the door and slipped out and silently ran down the long hallway, only the moonlight lighting his way.
{Meet me after dark again and I'll hold you}
He slowed down seeing Bakura standing outside his door wearing a black cape. Bakura looked up and gave Ryou a genuine smile. 'This is it.' Ryou thought walking slowly over to his lover. 'I'll finally be free from this place.'
Bakura quickly embraced him and gently kissed Ryou's lips. Bakura held up a smaller cape for Ryou to wear and wrapped it around him. Bakura bent down on one knee and kissed Ryou deeply. "You're sure you want to run away with me my love?"
Ryou smiled and nodded. "I love you Bakura."
"I love you too Ryou."
{I am nothing more than to see you there}
Bakura picked up and sac, which Ryou guessed was food until they were settled somewhere, far away from there. Bakura walked quickly, holding Ryou with arm to keep up. They blended into the shadows, quietly creeping past the guards.
Bakura went out the stalls (I'm not very sure if there were, but if there weren't let's pretend there were horses i.e. Arabian Stallions and they're in a stall behind the palace!) and grabbed a stallion. It tried to kick at Bakura, but he pulled at it's reigns, getting to calm down.
He lead it out of the stalls, Ryou still following him, dreaming of how they would soon be. Bakura would always protect him, and he'd never have to be subjected to being a slave to Yami anymore.
{And maybe tonight, we'll fly so far away}
Bakura jumped on the horse and reached his hand out for Ryou. He looked up, eyes shinning. "Will you ride away with me tonight?" Ryou nodded and grinned as Bakura pulled him up and was put in front of Bakura. Ryou blushed and looked back at Bakura.
Bakura kicked the horse's side and they began to gallop into the night.

They rode out of the stables and into the cold dessert's night. Ryou's teeth began to chatter and Bakura wrapped a strong arm around Ryou's waist. Even though Ryou's hood was on, he still could feel the heat rise in his cheeks.
{If only night can hold you where I can see you, my love}
Ryou began to fall asleep as Bakura stayed wide awake, looking down at his love. He began to ponder with himself. He wanted to show Ryou what else was in the world, that his life didn't have to be so bad. He wanted to shelter him, so he'd never have to be hurt again.
Bakura frowned. He knew though, as soon as Yami woke to find them gone, they would be in trouble. They would have to pick up their life they made and leave it behind so they wouldn't be caught. He knew it would happen, but he wanted to make sure Ryou was safe.
{And maybe tonight, we'll fly so far away}
Bakura looked up the to sky to see it begin to brighten. Bakura looked to see a cave nearby. He shook Ryou awake as he turned the horse to gallop into the cave. Ryou yawned and Bakura snickered at the cute way Ryou did it.
"Kura.what's wrong?" Ryou rubbed the sleep from his eyes and cuddled into Bakura's chest. "Nothing." Bakura smiled and got off the horse bringing Ryou with him. Bakura tied up the horse and went to the edge of the cave.
"I just wanted to watch with the sunrise with my love." Ryou's eyes began to tear up as he looked up at the sky, all the reds and oranges dancing across the sky. "Ryou.don't cry." Bakura wiped away his tears and smiled.
Ryou looked at him. "I'm just so happy, with the sunrise.we will start a new life...together." Bakura nodded and kissed Ryou's forehead. "Love you Ryou"
"Love you too Bakura"

"RYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?!" Yami screamed running up and down the palace halls, not being able to accept the fact that he ran away. And Bakura was missing too, one of his best advisors was missing.
"MARIK!" He saw Marik's head jerk up and then try to back away. "Where are they?! You know don't you! TELL ME!" Yami seethed and ran and grabbed Marik by his wrist digging his nails into them. "They.ran away...together" Yami dropped him.
Yami growled in rage. 'They will pay for running away from me' he thought barking orders at his guards. Ryou would never be able to escape him, he would spend his whole life trying to find them if that was the case. And not to mention how betrayed he felt, Bakura had betrayed him.
They would both pay dearly.
Yami went outside and mounted his horse and shouted to his men. "WE WILL NTO STOP UNTIL WE FIND THEM!" And with that, they rode out around the city, only to find them gone without a trace of evidence they were there left behind.
{Somehow I know that we can't wake again from this dream}

A few days Ryou and Bakura rode into a small town, far away from their own city. They laughed together as they bought fruits for their journey. Bakura smiled at Ryou who was humming happily.
They began walking back to the shack they were staying in. It was so run down, nobody would think of ever going in there, more or less thinking someone actually lived in there.
{It's not real, but it's ours}
They looked around to make sure no one saw them walking into the building. Bakura lit an oil lamp and the room was illuminated. Silky blankets and pillows were everywhere, some small pots were in the corner and there were two other rooms. They had begun to make their own home. Bakura had made sure he had enough money to last them a while and bought things each day to make sure his love was as comfortable as possible.
Bakura plopped down on a bunch of pillows and pulled Ryou down with him. He gently ran his hands over Ryou's sides before kissing his neck. Ryou giggled and snuggled up to Bakura, before they jumped hearing yelling and dozens of horses stomping by.

Bakura crawled to a window and his jaw almost dropped to the floor seeing Yami on his horse and his guards going around searching for them. Bakura gasped and closed the window. "Shit.." He ran and pushed all the pillows into a corner and covered them with a dusty old sheet.
"What's wrong? What's going on?" Ryou whimpered and began to panic when Bakura didn't answer him. Bakura grabbed Ryou's shoulders and shook him. "Calm down, don't worry." He smiled and pulled Ryou to a back room and lifted up a trap door and jumped in. Bakura covered the door with a cloth, and waited until the danger passed.

Yami clenched his teeth. They had been searching for days trying to get Ryou back and they found nothing, until his eyes came in contact with an old run down shack. He got off his horse and strode over to house and knocked on the door.
He glared and opened the door himself. He looked around and saw an oil lamp with a bit of smoke coming from it. He knew they had to have just been there. But he looked and it seemed like it was abandoned.
He stepped into the rooms and observed them, walking right over the trap door, but didn't notice it or any other trace that they were there. He screamed and punched a whole in the wall before storming out and slamming the door.

Bakura held Ryou tightly and clamped a hand over his mouth to make sure he didn't make any whimpers that Yami was so fond of. He heard Yami punch something before storming out of their home and slamming the door. He sighed deeply and let go of Ryou to open the trap door and climb out.
Ryou began to sob pulling himself out of the door. Bakura pulled him into his lap and gently ran his fingers threw Ryou's hair and rocked him back and forth. "Shhh.Ryou he's gone.he'll never find us..I won't let him hurt you again.never" It was more of a promise he made to himself more than to Ryou. He wouldn't let anything come in between them again.

Ryou calmed down and eventually fell asleep. Bakura picked him up and got out heir blankets and pillows once again. He put Ryou down and laid down next to him, draping an arm over his waist. Bakura kissed Ryou's head before falling asleep himself.
