intend for this story to explore multiple pairings. In this first chapter we cover "self satisfaction".

Chapter 1 - The Dream

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. "Oh great, it can't be time to get up already," said a very tired and cranky Anzu. "It can't be 6 AM already. I just went to sleep a few hours ago. I can spare a few more minutes of sleep," she said. A long arm slowly reaches up to hit the sleep button on the alarm clock, but instead of hitting the snooze button a glass of cold water gets bumped instead. Anzu jumps up from the bed wiping off the water that just spilled on her. "Damn! I guess I was meant to get on up."

With eyes still closed, Anzu headed for the shower. "Why did I stay up talking to Yugi so long last night?" Anzu had to laugh. It wasn't unusual for her to spend long hours speaking to her best friend. After all, they have been friends for years. What made last night's conversation interesting was the news of who was transferring to Domino High, and the dream that followed.

[FLASHBACK]

"Mai! In mid-semester?" she asked. "Yeah, isn't it wild? We haven't seen her since Duelist Kingdom. It'll be great to see her again," said a joyful Yugi. "Yeah, she turned out to be okay," Anzu eventually admitted. "Boy, I bet Jounouchi will be extremely happy to see her. Didn't you get the impression that the two of them started to like each other towards the end of the tournament?" asked Yugi. "Well, it was very obvious that Jou liked her from the start, even when she was tormenting him." said Anzu.

Yugi let out a light-hearted laugh. "Yeah, Jou had the hots for Mai from the moment we first saw her on the boat." "Yugi Motou! Don't tell me that you didn't find her attractive. As a matter of fact, I think Honda liked her as well - all of you boys wanted to get to know Mai really well." Anzu stressed the word "really".

"Oh, Anzu. I must admit that Mai is very pretty. But, I like…" Yugi's voice trailed off to a whisper. "You like who Yugi?" "Oh nothing, Anzu. Forget I said anything. Hey, do you see the time? It's getting pretty late and neither one of us will want to get up in the morning," gushed Yugi. Anzu decided to let Yugi off the hook. "Okay, Yugi. I guess it is time for us to go to sleep. I'll see you in school tomorrow. Good night." "Good night Anzu. Pleasant dreams." "Good night Yugi. You too." Anzu remembered hanging up the phone softly and smiling to herself. "That Yugi. Could it be that he likes me? As shy as he is, I don't know if he'll ever admit it. Funny thing is I like him too. But I don't want to lose my best friend if something should ever go wrong in a romantic relationship. No, I think it's best that we just stay friends. But then again…"

Anzu slowly drifted off to sleep. Before she knew it, she was back at Duelist Kingdom. She was in the makeshift shower that Mai had pointed out. "Just because you hang out with boys doesn't mean that you have to smell like them!" Mai said. That was the turning point in their relationship. Mai wasn't all that bad. It was true that a shower, at that point in their journey, would be a welcomed delight. Anzu could feel the warm water on her skin washing away all of her worries.

At first she felt a little weird taking a shower knowing that her best friends - all males with raging hormones - were only a few feet away. What if they try to peak she thought. But then a sense of calm came over her. She knew her friends wouldn't do that to her. Plus she knew if they tried, Mai most likely would punch them.

"That Mai sure is tough," Anzu thought. "At first I didn't like her for that reason. I thought that she was trying to hide something with that hard veneer. But I can see that there is something else to her. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better."

Anzu was washing her soft brown hair when she thought she saw something. "Aaah!" "What, what is it?" asked Mai in a panic. "I thought I saw someone looking in at me." Mai carefully searched around the shower. "There's no one here hon. Go ahead and finish your shower." It was then that Anzu noticed the look in Mai's eyes. At first there was a look of concern. But then Mai's eyes seemed to quickly survey her wet body. There was a definite look of pleasure in her eyes.

"Did I see what I thought I just saw?" Anzu wondered. "No, I must be interpreting that all wrong. Mai was just showing the normal concern that women show each other in times of stress. Yes, that's it. Nothing more."

Anzu continued to shower. She tilted her head back to rinse away the soap in her hair. A light breeze blew in the shower causing her nipples to harden a little. Anzu let out a soft moan of pleasure. Then the thought of her being watched re-entered her mind. This time,

however, instead of being afraid of the idea she became aroused by it.

Anzu saw a silhouette through the curtain. She knew that it was Mai. What she couldn't tell was whether Mai was facing the curtain or had her back to it. Anzu moved to where there was a slight opening in the curtain - enough to where if someone was trying to look in at her, they could see what she was doing. Anzu didn't want to be too obvious, so she stood a few feet away from the curtain. She picked up the soap, rubbing it in her hands for a final lather.

Slowly, Anzu built up a large amount of lather and ran it slowly down her neck, over her shoulders and back down around her breasts. She stopped around her nipples. She languidly rubbed soap around them. She then took her thumbs and forefingers and lightly pinched the aroused little nubs. This sent shocks of pleasure through her entire body. Anzu was in ecstasy. She continued to pinch her perky brown nipples until they were completely hard. It was then that Anzu felt a warm liquid trickling down her leg.

This turned Anzu on even more. She picked up the soap and continued to lather the rest of her body. By the time she got to her private area, a definite heat was rising from it. Anzu decided that she wanted her release and she wanted it soon. Anzu held her forefinger and middle finger of her left hand between her labia forcing it open. She then took her forefinger of her right hand and inserted it into her tight and very wet orifice. Quickly she moved her finger in and out. The sensations that she was feeling were indescribable. She turned just a little and then it happened. The water that was still flowing from the shower hit her exposed clitoris with just the right force. Anzu's whole body started to shake. "Where did the guys go?" Anzu asked sheepishly. "It's okay hon. I sent them off for more firewood for the night. They've been gone for about the last 10 minutes," Mai said with a glint in her eye. "Oh! Is there a towel out there? I'm getting kind of chilly." "I have one for you. Here it is." Mai handed Anzu the long towel. Anzu quickly dried off and put on fresh clothes. "Mai, I…" "Listen, Anzu it's okay. I know how wonderful it is to take a shower; especially after running around getting all sweaty. It makes you feel just beastly. I'm glad you enjoyed your shower," Mai said with a soft smile. Anzu was overjoyed that Mai didn't make an issue out of what had just happened. "Maybe she didn't hear me. No, that can't be the case -- especially that last moan. She just doesn't want to embarrass me. Either way, I'm grateful," Anzu thought.

[PRESENT DAY]

Anzu quickly took her shower and got dressed for school. She couldn't help but think of the dream. A blush rose to her cheeks. "I have to get a hold of myself, because if I don't everyone will know something is wrong. I really don't want to have to explain what's wrong. I don't know if I can even tell Yugi about that dream.

Anzu then grabbed a bagel with some cheese and ran on out the door. If she didn't hurry, she would be late meeting Yugi. She and Yugi walked to school together everyday since they didn't live that far away from each other.

Anzu's mind kept returning to her dream. "Damn, I wish that dream would leave my head," she fumed. Anzu kept trying to put down the flush she felt in her cheeks. It was then that she realized she also had to calm her body down since she was getting aroused. "What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I getting so excited over a dream about pseudo-exhibitionism? Am I an exhibitionist? Or could it be… No, I'm not a lesbian. I can't be!" Anzu mentally yelled to herself.

Anzu rounded the corner to Yugi's house. She wasn't prepared to see the whole gang gathered there. She was less prepared at that moment to see a beautiful young woman with long blonde hair cascading over a pair of lightly tanned shoulders. A face to die for - perfectly arched eyebrows, dainty nose, piercing blue eyes, tiny mouth with kissable lips covered with a lip gloss that matched her outfit - a wine leather jacket and mini-skirt. A pair of supple breast proudly stood out from what looked like a white bustier. To finish off the ensemble, a pair of long shapely legs with killer calves rose from a pair of 2" wine-colored boots. "Why hello Anzu! It's wonderful to see you again," exclaimed the cheerful voice. "Hello Mai. It's great to see you again too."

Mai ran up and gave her a big hug. Anzu returned the hug. "I've got to pull myself together," she thought. "But damn, she smells so good." A distinct lilac came from her hair, and there was a complimenting scent coming from her neck.

Yugi could see that his long-time friend was looking a bit troubled - not in a bad way, but not exactly in a good way either. Anzu saw Yugi's questioning glance. "Oh great, he knows something is wrong. Knowing Yugi, he will pull it out of me. I guess it won't be all that bad. I just hope Jounouchi and Honda didn't notice. Actually, I really hope that Mai doesn't notice," Anzu thought.

Mai finally pulled away from Anzu. "Girl, it's great to see you. What have you been up to?" Mai lowered her voice a bit. "Has Yugi admitted that he has feelings for you?" Anzu looked up at Mai and felt her cheeks turn red. "Why, I ah... well, no. Who told you that he had feelings…?" "Oh hon. it's obvious! And if you don't mind me saying so, I think you like him too."

Anzu was more than a little flustered. "Mai I … I don't really want to talk about this right now." "Anzu, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to embarrass you," Mai said with a soft voice full of sincerity. "I'm not upset with you Mai, it's just that these feelings are all so new to me," Anzu admitted. "I know what you mean. I've been having some really strong emotions myself lately. For me, that's bad, since I tend to be a loner. Due to having some rough early years, I grew to not trust anyone - that was until I met you guys. It's wonderful to have some real friends." "And Anzu," Mai said taking her hand, "It's really a blessing to now have another woman I can confide in."

Anzu's heart leapt. She was overjoyed at hearing that Mai considered her to be a real friend. "I feel that way too Mai. I'm glad that you transferred to Domino High."

"Hey you guys, don't mean to break up the happy reunion, but we're gonna be late for school if we don't step on it," shouted Honda. "Okay, we're right with you," shouted back the others.

The happy gang walked on down the street to Domino High. Jounouchi was elated that he was chosen by one of the counselors to be Mai's guide around the school. "Boy, that will be enough to make him orgasm," Yugi quietly whispered to Anzu. "Yugi!" "Oh sorry Anzu," Yugi blushed. "That's okay. It's true," said Anzu. "So, um Anzu, what was wrong earlier?" "Oh nothing Yugi. I'm fine." "Anzu. I know you better than that. Come on, tell me. You know I won't tell." "Yugi, I… well, it was this dream I had." Just then the bell for classes to begin rang. "Anzu, promise me you'll tell me all about it after school," Yugi said softly. "I promise Yugi, I promise," said Anzu.

The teens then hurried to their seats. The day just seemed to drag by. Anzu couldn't help but feel a little trepidation at telling her secret. "What if he doesn't understand? What if he thinks I'm some pervert? No, Yugi wouldn't think that way about me. But still, I don't know," thought Anzu.

Anzu sat and watched the clock. Across the room Yugi was watching Anzu. "She sure looks worried about something," he thought. "I hope that I can help her out - with whatever it is."

/"Aibou you are Anzu's best friend. I'm sure you can help her. Together we will help her,"/ said Yami to Yugi mentally.

/"I know you are right Yami, but I can't help but feel… I don't know. I don't feel like she is in any danger. More than anything, she's just embarrassed about something. I wonder what happened. /
