Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Boku no Kokoro no Kakera ❯ Ryou's Disappearance ( Chapter 1 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! If I did, my drawings would look WAY better and cooler and I would have a Japanese name. Does Jean sound Japanese? I don't think so... I DO have a Chinese name because I am Chinese. And I'm only writing this to show all you people that I'm alive. I just didn't update beacuse I'm thinking and that doesn't happen oftenXD. Karen messed up the fic as well so it's hard to rewrite with all the excess.
Summary: I'd make one but I'm too lazy. SetoRyou, no duh. Or maybe I can turn it to a BakuraRyou. Fine, Ryou lost the feeling "love", how will he get it back. I probably won't update this for a long time, being a lazy bum and all...

Domino High, 4pm
"Bakura-kun," Yuugi complained lightly, tugging on the paler boy's sleeve. "Mou!"
"Ii yo, Yuugi-kun," Ryou patiently responded. "Just go ahead with them, I'll stay here."
"Demo, you're still part of our group," Yuugi replied. "Besides, we've been neglecting you. Honda-kun thought this up and you just have to come."
"Yuugi-kun, I told you it's okay," the younger boy insisted. "I don't mind being left alone, I'm used to it."
Yuugi frowned slightly. "Bakura-kun, you shouldn't be alone. No one can live without friends!" he exclaimed. "Jounouchi-kun, Honda-kun Anzu and I are your friends. And as your friends, we want you to be happy."
"Yuugi-kun, I'm touched, really. But I'm afraid I don't matter much," murmured Ryou. "I-"
"You're wrong," Yuugi cried, hands balled into fists. "We all care about you. We love you!"
Then, the taller boy was suddenly pulled into a warm embrace. Ryou looked down at Yuugi before his cheeks turned an interesting shade of red and he pulled away, looking very nervous and his eyes empty.
"Bakura-kun?" Yuugi asked, looking worried.
"Yuugi-kun, what is love?" Ryou mumbled, walking towards the doorway. "I don't understand."
"It's when you care deeply about someone," Yuugi apprised. "It's... inexplainable."
Ryou looked over his shoulder before leaving Yuugi alone in their classroom.
Kame Game Shop, 5pm
"Yo, Yugi!" Jounouchi greeted as the smaller boy walked inside.
"Where've you been? And where's Bakura?" Honda questioned.
Yuugi just shook his head, looking unusually depressed. He proceeded to drop his bag by the stairs and sighed.
Jounouchi grabbed Yuugi by the collar. "What's wrong, man? You know you can tell us anything."
Yuugi looked at Anzu and Honda who were smiling encouragingly as Jounouchi let go. "Gomen, minna." he said. "Bakura-kun wouldn't come."
"Maybe he's busy." Honda hypothesized.
Yuugi shook his head again. "He isn't, he just left."
"Isn't that rude?" huffed Anzu.
"Chigau yo," Yuugi replied. "He... wasn't himself. It was like I was talking to someone I don't know."
-Let me guess. The tomb robber!- mou hitori no Yuugi muttered.
'Mou hitori no boku,' Yuugi thought. 'Did you sense any dark power when I was talking to Bakura-kun?'
-Iie,- the darker half replied.
'Then it really was Bakura-kun,' Yuugi said to himself.
"Yuugi," Anzu said. "What really happened?"
"I was insisting that Bakura-kun would come meet with us here," Yuugi explained quickly. "He kept on declining and he said that he wasn't all that important and that he was just going to waste our time. I kind of lost control there and told him that we all cared and loved him and I hugged him so he would get the point. But then, he pulled away and I was worried that I did something wrong, I asked if he was okay and he said that he doesn't understand it."
"Woah, Yuugi," Honda said. "Slow down and breathe. What didn't he understand?"
"Love," Yuugi murmured. "He says he doesn't understand love."
The three teens' eyes widened and it was Anzu who spoke first. "Love is an intense feeling of tender affection and compassion, how can he not know?"
"I don't know, Anzu," Yuugi said, sadly. "I don't know."
Jounouchi looked at the other three before speaking up. "Yuugi, isn't today supposed to be our friendship day? If so, why are we all so depressed. Today's supposed to be the day we celebrate our friendship with everyone we know. It's supposed to be a happy day."
"You're right, Jounouchi," Yuugi suddenly gave a big grin. "Let's just hope Bakura-kun's okay."
"Nice speech, Jounouchi," Honda complimented the older boy. "I always thought it was only Anzu who could make up something as mushy as that. And everyone, eh? You wouldn't mind if Yuugi actually invited Kaiba?"
"Okay, now that's pushing it," Jounouchi grabbed the taller boy and started messing up his hair. (a/n: I have no idea how Honda's pencil-shaped hair would get messed up but let's just say it did.)
"Actually, Jounouchi, I did invite Kaiba-kun." Yuugi admitted.
Jounouchi dropped Honda like a sack of potatoes and turned to show his shocked expression. "N-nani!?"
"He said he would come if he didn't have any work," Yuugi continued. "Gomen, demo... Kaiba-kun isn't THAT cold-hearted. I'm sure of it!"
Jounouchi let out a sigh before looking back at Yuugi and smiling. "I'm okay with it."
"NANI!?" Honda near shouted, attacking Jounouchi. "Has the world ended already!?"
Anzu let out an exasperated sigh and went to separate the two as Yuugi giggled.
8pm
Kaiba Seto went inside and squinted, adjusting to the dim light. After a few moments, he was literally dragged inside by none other than his younger brother.
An old geeze- err, Yuugi's gradfather acknowledged them first. "You must be one of Yuugi's friends. Come on in."
"On the contrary, old man," Seto sneered. "I was forced into this."
"Niisama!" wailed Mokuba, hoping Suguroku wouldn't kick them out or something.
But Mutou Suguroku just shrugged it off and gave a hearty laugh and gave them directions to where they were supposed to go.
"Mou, Niisama!" murmured the younger Kaiba. "You'll get us thrown out of here even before we get inside."
"It's not like I wanted to come," stated the young CEO. "You made me with that- no, Mokuba, don't you make that face. You look like a dog. At least better than that make-inu, though."
Mokuba pouted slightly and folded his arms.
"Oh, come on," sighed Seto. "You know you can't ignore me forever."
Mokuba looked away and continued sulking. Well, until he felt a finger trailed up and down his side (1). He bit his lip, trying not to giggle or laugh but let out a squeak. "Niisama!"
Seto smirked and continued tickling the younger boy. Mokuba coudn't take it and burst into fits of laughter, running away from his said tormentor.
It seemed to take hours before they finally arrived in the room where Yuugi and company were in. A few people were recognized by Seto but, then again, he didn't give a damn about them.
"Kaiba-kuuun," cried the, ahem, vertically-challenged King of Games. "You came! And with Mokuba, too!"
Seto grimaced slightly as Yuugi-tachi inched closer and closer to them and gave a nod. Mokuba just smiled ever-so-sweetly, contrasting his brother's reaction entirely.
9pm
It's been an hour since the Kaiba's arrived and to Seto, there was this nagging feeling that something was missing. What could be missing?
Yes, it could only be the beautiful white-haired bishounen but poor Seto is just too stupid to remember that. In fact, he must know Ryou as just one of Yuugi's friends or cheerleader.
Sighing, he leaned on the chair he had been sitting on for the past hour. There was this concept that the longer you stay sitting, the more your bum hurts after standing up. Yes, this was what our wonderful and handsome CEO is feeling right now.
But to be honest, it wasn't only Seto who was troubled by something. Yuugi was too. And it was because of the said CEO. He was being apathetic right now and the mere thought made Yuugi feel worried that Seto thought the celebration was just a waste of time.
"Kaiba-kun?" Yuugi hesitantly asked.
Seto looked up at Yuugi. "Yes?"
"Um... you just seemed occupied by something and I thought that..." Yuugi trailed off. "You must think it's boring, huh?"
"Not really," Seto politely answered. "I was just thinking about something."
"What?" Yami no Yuugi interrupted, walking to the two boys.
"Never mind," replied the older Kaiba.
"He isn't flirting with you, is he?" muttered the Pharaoh to Yuugi.
Yuugi turned bright red. "NO!"
Yami no Yuugi, who I will refer to as Yami for simplicity's sake, smirked slightly and Seto suddenly freaked. "You mean... you two are-!?"
Yami nodded. "If you mean lovers, yes. Why, does it bother you much, priest?"
Yuugi's face was beet red now. "You don't have to announce that to the whole world, Yami."
"Why not? They're going to find out someday anyway-"
"So why delay the inevitable." Seto finished for him.
"You're finally alive," said the spirit. "Yuugi here was worried that you found the party boring and willed yourself to disappear."
"Whatever."
The door suddenly slammed open and everyone turned to see Yami no Bakura, Bakura so it will be shorter, panting slightly and running to the pharaoh, grasping Yami's collar. "Pharaoh! Where the hell did you bring my yadonushi!"
"W-what?" replied Yami.
"He did not come home," yelled the tomb robber spirit. "Where the fuck did you take him."
The tomb robber continued cussing and Yuugi-tachi exchanged worried looks. What happened to Ryou...?
