Kuwabara: I have a feeling I'm going to win!

Hiei: And I have a feeling you're going to die.

Hey this is Divastarz63/Hieilover135. Just saying that I'vedecided to post a new story because the next chapter of my other story is kind oflong and I don't have my book that I keep my stories in. Anyways, this story is based off of Kaiba's family and I put in my own original character, Karen. She's Kaiba's half sister in this story. I'm not going toput who her other family is just yet. Please read it, I'm not going tomake her sound like a Mary-Sue!!

Flashback

Boulevard of a Broken Home

Seto Kaiba sat in his office at home, upset. He was upset because his half-sister Karen tried to make him go to an upcoming family reunion that his other half of the family was having. In the end, they had a big argument and Karen went back to her dimension, taking Mokuba with her.

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known.
Don't know where it goes
But it's only me and I walk alone.

`Stupid Karen,' he thought as he continued typing on his computer.

`Telling me I should go. She knows that I'm busy with Kaiba Corp. And she tells me that I don't consider other people's feelings.'

I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone.

He paused from his typing and reviewed his work.
`I mean, she know that I'm trying to make my dream of Kaibaland become real for Mokuba. She knows that I don't have time for anything else. Not for some long lost family that suddenly appears and wants me. Not even for friends. Not that I have any.'

I walk alone.
I walk alone.

He checked his clock. Midnight. His sister's words flashed through his head suddenly.

(Flashback)

“You don't even get enough sleep nowadays, you look like a wreck,” Karen said to him.

(End Flashback)

I walk alone, I walk a
My shadow's the only one who walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
Till then I walk alone.

He stared guiltily at the clock, then at his screen, sighed and began typing again.

“What did she mean by that? I get plenty of sleep,” he whispered to himself, “I'm perfectly fine with a few hours of sleep a day. Besides, it's not like she's the one running the company. Telling me how I should `meet the family'. Pah!”

Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah.

He stopped typing for a minute. “She said I was mean to Mokuba. How was I being mean to him?”

(Flashback)

“You are being so inconsiderate!” Karen yelled.

“Well that's funny, I was about to say the same thing about you,” he growled back at her.

“Oh yea, I'm being inconsiderate. I'm the one who wants you and Mokuba to meet your dad! It's Christmas, that's what families do!”

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind.
On the borderline
Of the engine where I walk alone.

She paced the room. “But NO, you just have to blow it off for Kaiba Corp. Doesn't matter that your siblings want to meet each other,”

He narrowed his eyes. “What are you talking about?”

“I mean Mokuba! He wants to meet Kay! And Kay wants to meet him! You can't expect me to just go and tell them both that they can't meet because you don't want to!”

Read between the lines
What's fucked up and everything's alright.
Check my vital signs
And no I'm still alive and I walk alone.

“Well, you're going to have to because Mokuba and I ARE NOT GOING!”

She narrowed her eyes now. “You know, just because you don't want to go, doesn't mean you have to ruin Mokuba's Christmas!”

I walk alone.
I walk alone.
I walk alone
I walk a
He stood behind his desk. “There's a good reason I don't want Mokuba to go. Why is it all of a sudden they want to meet us? It sounds screwed up and so we're not going!!”

She put her face next to his. “Well you can stay, BUT MOKUBA AND I ARE GOING!!”

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me.
`Till then I walk alone.
She walked towards the door, and thenstopped suddenly with her back still turned to him.

“You know, I don't get how come you're alwaysbeing mean to Mokuba and he still loves you. If you ask me, you're just a big, fucked up jerk!” and with that she was gone.

(End Flashback)

Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah
I walk alone, I walk a

Kaiba put his head on the desk and groaned. He was too young for this kind of stress. He really wanted to go, but with Kaiba Corp and other matters he couldn't.

I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams.
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk a

`My life sucks,' he thought to himself, before drifting into a dreamless sleep, again.

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me.
`Till then I walk alone.
Karen and Mokuba walked up the ticket station. They were currently at the (rarely used) Inter-Dimensional Train Station. It was rather dirty and messy because hardly anyone used it anymore, but, because of her recent argument, she had missed the portal and was now forced to go on the bus.

I couldn't tell you why she felt that way,
She felt it everyday.
And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes again.

Karen purchased two tickets for them, walked back to Mokuba (who was sitting on a nearby bench) and carefully sat down. Presently a sales-lizard came up.

“Would you like to buy some garballs?” it asked, holding up a tray of blackish…stuff.

Karen blanched. “No thanks,”

What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.

Mokuba watched as the sales-lizard walked off. He opened his mouth to ask something, but Karen beat him to it.

“Never, EVER trust inter-dimensional food.”

About 10 minutes later, the train that was leading to their dimension came. Karen pushed Mokuba onto the train, and then climbed up herself. As soon as she reached inside, though, she stopped, partially because she was shocked at the condition of the train and partially because Mokuba had stopped to stare.

It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

Soon she felt a push on her back by one of the few people who were travelling on with them. She turned around, glared at the person behind of her, and then continued to move towards a seat.
As they passed each seat, however, they became more and more disgusted by both the smell and the look of the seats; if you could call them that.

The train smelled strongly of smoke and garbage and the seats were old and worn out, with holes in the middle of the cushions. Almost every time they passed a semi-good seat, some other person took it. Finally they found one good seat at the back. They both stared longingly at the chair.

Open your eyes and look outside, find a reasonwhy
You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.
Be strong, be strong now.
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.

“You can have it Mokuba,” Karen said.

“But where are you going to sit?” the boy asked.

“I'll stand up. Don't worry; I'd rather stand up anyways. I've had more than enough of my share of rides on this train.”
Mokuba gave her a rather weird look and then sat down while Karen took a hold of one of those things that you can grab onto when you're standing up in a train.

She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

For about 20 minutes, everything in the train was silent. The place was so quiet, you could've heard the person, who was next to you,`s heartbeat until finally Mokuba asked,

“Why didn't Seto come? Was it because you two were arguing last night?”

That question woke Karen up. “You mean, you heard us arguing?”

“Well yeah, but I didn't hear what it was about. But is that why he didn't come?”

Her feelings she hides.
Her dreams she can't find.
She's losing her mind.
She's fallen behind.

Karen hesitated. “I…can't say. Maybe he will come, eventually. I just hope he changes his mind,” she said, mainly to herself.

“Oh. Well in case he does, we had better start making a list for him, right?”

Karen smirked and got out a pen and paper. “Sure! How about you get started?”

Mokuba took the paper eagerly, his excitement as for what to get his brother clouding his vision.

Karen smirked again and turned towards a window. `I really shouldn't trick him like that,' she thought to herself.

She can't find her place.
She's losing her faith.
She's fallen from grace.
She's all over the place.
Yeah, oh.

She sighed and looked at Mokuba again.

`Stupid Seto. He`s gonna regret never coming on this trip…just like how I regret what I said to him…I hate my conscious! Sometimes, I wish I never came back to this stupid dimension!' she thought and then glanced at Mokuba again, who had now fallen asleep.

`Stupid Seto. I like saying that. But why couldn't he come? It couldn't have been because of K.C! He knows better than that…maybe he really just doesn't want to meet them…maybe he really is just a cold-hearted jerk.

Ah, what am I saying?? Seto's not a jerk, he's just…just…oh man now I can't even think straight!!'

She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

Just then the intercom rang. “We are now at Inter-dimensional station B. Please do not forget your belongings as we're tired of getting the same junk all the time!”

Karen sighed, picked up Mokuba and walked out. `My life sucks,' she thought as she slowly walked out of the station, towards the dimensional portal.

She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh yeah
She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh yeah

So what did you think? This is supposed to be a kinda present for all the people who are waiting for me to update my story. ONCE AGAIN, SORRY ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO READ IT, I WILL BE UPDATING SOON!!
