Seto stared out the window, dark circles under his eye as he let out a tired sigh. He really wished that he and the boy of his desires could just put things behind them, start new and become friends…or something more, but the thoughts of his brother rejecting him for such corrupting thoughts and his pride prevented him from doing so. That and what the boy he desired said to him really hurt.
“Fuck you Kaiba, it's pretty hard to think that your brother really loves you, `cause really, who could stand being near you? You probably just pay him to like you; he's probably not even your real brother.”
All the brunet could do was say something back (what he said, he couldn't remember) and then turn and leave. He couldn't let them see how much the blond's words really affected him, although he did noticed the looks his rival, Yugi, was giving him during class (for the fight he and the blond had had happened during lunchtime), but acted like he didn't.
He didn't know what to do. When he had gotten home, he and Mokuba had gotten into a big fight about how Seto should stop over working himself with Kaiba Corp. and spend some time with him and maybe try to get along with Yugi and his friends. To put it simply the fight ended with Mokuba running off (Seto following naturally) and slamming the door in Seto's face.
~Do I / sit here and try to stand it?

The brunet had went to his room, locked his door, pulled the plugs on the security cameras in the corners of his room, and went to his bed, where he curled up and thought about what happened that day.
“I'm such an idiot,” he muttered, turning from his side to his back.
“Why, what happened?” said an identical voice from a corner of his room. Seto sat up quickly; tense, before seeing it was his yami, Seth. The High Priest came to him after the Ishtars left Japan. Seto refused to believe that they were related in a way, and almost destroyed him and Seth because of it.
“The mutt said some cruel words and Mokuba hates me,” Seto said dully. The yami stood from his place and walked over to his hikari, gathering the broken boy in his arms.
~Because I can't hold on / when I'm stretched so thin

Seto stayed quiet in his other's arms, occasionally taking in deep breaths of air.
“Perhaps, you should tell him how you feel,” Seth said quietly, after a while.
Seto snorted. “And have my heart torn to a million pieces? No thanks, if I'm in this bad a state, what makes you think I would go through with that?”
“He might see the error in his ways and change heart,” Seth replied.
“Seth, you know as well as I do that he'll never see the `error' in his ways, saying I like him will only screw me over even more, and what if he tells Mokuba? I don't think I could live for a day with my little brother hating me for- hmph!” Seto's eye's widened when Seth's lips were pressed against his. He pulled away from his yami, shock clearly written in bold letters across his face. “What the hell did you do that for?!” he practically yelled.
Seth shrugged. “You talk too much.”
The young CEO glared at him. “Have I ever told you how much I hate you?”
Seth chuckled. “Many times, hikari.”

Seto grumbled under his breath, sitting up, wiping his face of the tears there. “I'm going out for a walk.”
“You do that,” Seth said, standing. “While you're out, I'm going to read. That vampires series you have in your library is interesting.” A smirk came to his lips as he unlocked Seto's door. “And if I remember correctly, you never were a fan of fantasy.”
“I may not believe in it, but that doesn't mean I'll read it once in a while,” Seto said, pulling of his school uniform (yes, he's doing this in front of his yami) and pulling on a pair of black jeans and a black turtle neck. He headed out, after going by his brother's room, telling him where he was going to be and that he could contact him by his cell.

It was probably around nine when Seto actually got a sense of where he was. Looking around, he found himself on the shitty side of town. `Wow, I actually walked all the way across town without noticing?' Seto thought. `Scary.'
~If I

“Hey, kid, give us back our doe, ya owe us.” Seto turned his head sharply to where the voice was coming from.
“Fuck you, I don't owe any of yas nutin,” said the voice of a familiar blond mutt.
“Guess we'll have ta beat it outta ya.” Seto walked quickly, his strides never faltering as he made his way around the building to find said mutt being kicked and stabbed by several teens, looking to be around his age.
“You're all pathetic,” Seto said calmly, his brain working overdrive to see how he could work this to his advantage. “Beating him while he's down, tsk tsk, where's your sense of honor?”
“Honor dis, Kaiba,” one of them said, spitting at the brunet's face. The other laughed, while Seto brushed the saliva off him.
“Whatcha doin' `ere, anyway, rich boy?” Another, with a fuzz of facial hair on his chin, asked. “Dontcha got rooms a {(that's meant to be written wrong)} money ta swim in?”
“Actually, I keep all my money in the bank,” Seto said casually. “Don't you druggies have better things to do than hurt defenseless dogs?”
“`e and `is ol' man owe us money,” The guy with the fuzz said. “An' we always get oua {(that's meant to be written wrong)} money back.”
“How much does he owe you?”
“$653 dollas {(that's meant to be written wrong, I don't know Japanese currency)}.”
Seto slipped his hand into his pocket, pulling out his wallet. He opened it, withdrawing several hundred dollar bills {(show off!)}. “Here, I'll pay the mutt and his father's debt and get my money back later. Deal? Good, now fuck off.” Shoving the money into the guy with the fuzz's hands, he went over to Joey, gently pulling him up.
“Wut if we don't want chur money?” One of the guys, who was wielding a knife, said, grabbing the money, throwing it at Seto.
“Yeah, maybe we should jus' beat da shit outta `im an' Wheela, an' take all deir money an' shit.” They all surrounded the sapphire-eyed and honey-eyed boys, pulling out their weapons, looking menacing.
Seto rolled his eyes, pulling out a .9mm gun. “Come now, I really don't want to get my shirt all bloody, again.”
“Wow, Kaiba, uh, we were, uh, jus' messin' wit ya,” the fuzz guy said, nervously taking a step back.
“Pick up the money you threw at me and leave,” Seto said, his calm voice becoming firm.

The guy picked the money up hurriedly and then ran off after his friends. Once they were out of site, Seto gently set Joey down, checking him everywhere to see how bad his injuries were.
“Joey?” He said softly, gently smacking Joey's good cheek (since the other one was showing signs of bruising).
The blond slowly opened his eyes, groaning when he saw who was hovering above him. “Whadda you want?” he croaked.
“We'll talk later,” Seto said, pulling out his cell phone and calling a limo. “Don't move too much, Joey, I think you might have internal damage,” he said after hanging up.
“Why would ya care `bout me?” Joey muttered, not taking too much notice in the fact that Seto moved him so his head was in the brunet's lap.
“I have many reasons, however, like I said, I'll tell you later.” Just then Seto's limo pulled up, the driver quickly coming out and running towards the two teens.
“Mr. Kaiba, what happened?!” He exclaimed, helping Seto move the blond into the vehicle.
“Gang brawl,” Seto said. “I want you to take us directly to Domino General Hospital and fast, understood?”
The man nodded. “Yes, sir.” He closed the door behind Seto, after he got in, and ran to the driver's seat, turning the limo around. He quickly headed towards said hospital, running three red lights and narrowly missing two on coming cars.
“I suppose I forgot to tell you to not give us heart attacks on the way there, huh?” Seto said, carefully pulling Joey out of the car.
The driver chuckled. “Well, I got us here fast, didn't I, sir?”
Seto rolled his eyes as they went inside the hospital. As soon as the front nurse saw Seto, she quickly summoned his doctor.
“Hello, Mr. Kaiba, how can I-”
“Enough chit chat,” he said coldly. “My friend was on the wrong side of town and got into a gang fight.”
She nodded, writing this down on a sheet of paper attached to her clip board, as Seto's family doctor, Yuen Shenzu, came over, with three cups of coffee in hand and a clipboard. He set them down and called for a stretcher.
As other doctors came, gently set Joey down on the stretcher, and whisked him away, Dr. Shenzu turned to him, offering him and is driver a cup.
Both thanked him grateful, and drink them down as Dr. Shenzu led them to his office.
“Well, I'm a little surprise to be treating Joey Wheeler,” he commented, sitting down at his desk and booting up his computer.
“Well, get use to it,” Seto replied dryly. “I suppose you'll be wanting questions answered ?”
Dr. Shenzu nodded. “Doctor's standards, of course.”
About twenty minutes of questioning, Dr. Shenzu leaving and coming back, Seto remembering to call his brother, who was freaking out on him for not calling sooner, and three cups of coffee later, Seto stood, stretching. “Can I go see him?”
“Well, let's go and out, shall we?” The two went down (the driver gone since Seto told him to go home to his family) to the room Joey was currently in. Seto sighed in relief when he saw that the blond was asleep was bandages here and there.
“Can he come home?” Seto asked, taking Joey hand into his.
Dr. Shenzu smiled. “He can, however, I have pills and medication I have him on that he'll have to take for a week; turns out a couple of those knives he was slashed with weren't very clean.”
Seto nodded. “Alright.”

Joey awoke to find himself between silk, and the sound of gentle snoring echoing through the room he was in.
“Where da hell am I?” he said groggily, looking around. He rubbed and blinked his eyes several times, trying to get them to focus so he could see his surroundings as he sat up. He looked over in the direction of where the door was when he heard it opened, emitting light from the hallway, or someplace like that.
“Oh, good you're awake.” Joey blinked when he heard Mokuba's voice.
“Mokuba? Where da hel-er- heck am I?” He asked, rubbing his head. He groaned a little in pain when he felt a large and slowly throbbing bump on the side of his skull.
“You're in Seto's room,” he replied. “Here, have some hot chocolate.” He set the tray of mugs he was carrying on the bed, since the bed side table was littered with coffee cups. He them pulled out a can of whipped cream and shook it, before putting a large glop of it in one of the mugs. “Want some?”
“Uh, sure,” Joey said, lying back down.
“Oh, thank god you're awake,” Seto said, sitting up in the chair that was beside Joey's bed.
“Er, why am I in your room, Kaiba?” Joey asked, accepting a mug from the small, raven-haired boy.
“One, because I saved you from getting killed by those guys, and two, because you owe me,” he said calmly, taking a mug of hot chocolate from his brother. “Mokuba, could you leave us alone for a minute?”
“Sure!” Mokuba bounced out of the room, happy he could help his brother.
“Wha do I owe ya for?” Joey asked, staring at Seto as the CEO took a sip from his drink.
“You owe me for saving your life and paying those assholes the debt you and your father owed them.”
Joey groaned. He hated paying people, who paid his debts. “Well, what do you want?”

“First off,” Seto paused for a moment, “how do you feel about homosexual people?”
Joey stared at him. “Why?”
“Answer me and I'll tell you.”
“They're alright I suppose,” Joey said, not getting what Seto was getting to.
“Are you gay?”
“What?! What kind of question is that?!” Joey yelled, then quickly regretting it for his loud voice triggered a headache.
“Answer me.”
“I don't have to if I don't want to,” Joey said stubbornly.
“Then I guess you'll just have to force yourself to like me and what I do.” Before Seto could give Joey a time to respond, he kissed him.
The blond squeaked, pulling away. “Wha-”
“I want you to become my boyfriend, Joseph Wheeler,” Seto said, making sure he didn't put too much pressure on Joey.
Joey gaped at him, lost for words. “How, how can ya ask er demand dat after wha I said to ya?”
He shrugged. “Someone told me that I should give you another chance. Well?”
“How do you know I'm not gay?” Joey retorted.
“This.” He kissed him again, this time his tongue darting out, running across Joey's bottom lip.
Joey pulled away before Seto could deep the kiss. “Okay! Okay! Ya got me!” he said breathlessly. “Um, could ya get off my arm? Thanks.”
“So?”
“Well, alright, but no bossing me around or I'll beat you.”
Seto laughed. “You beat me up? Highly unlikely, who's the one that saved you from those idiots?”
Joey rolled his eyes. “Bite me.”
Seto leaned down, and gently nibbled on his neck. Joey yelped. “I wasn't being literal!”
“Sure,” Seto said, moving away from him so he was back in his seat. “I'm going to go lock up the mansion, I'll be back soon.”
Joey nodded. “'kay.”

When Seto returned, he couldn't help but smile at Joey, who had fallen asleep, a small smile on his face.
“Well, what did I tell you?” came his yami's voice from behind him.
Seto jumped. “I hate it when you do that!”
“Well?”
Seto rolled his eyes. “Okay, so you were right.”
“Good to see you admitting to defeat,” Seth said, smirking. His smirk got larger when he saw Seto's eye noticeably twitch. “Now, go cuddle with him so he feels….warm and fuzzy when he awakes in the morning.”
Seto had a fake look of surprise on his face. “Is the word `fuzzy' really in your vocabulary?”
“Just go!” His darker half snapped, pushing him into the room. Seto chuckled, walking over to the bed. He stripped down to his boxers and walked over to the bed, sliding under the covers. “Ashiteru, Koinu-Koi,” he whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to his shoulder, before succumbing to exhaustion, Joey's cruel words long forgiven and forgotten.

Jodine16: Well that was sort of interesting what do you guys think? It kind of fell out of line with the song but oh well. It was worth a try. Later days!
