Chapter Four - anti nostalgic
Disclaimer: I don’t own Yuugiou. I also don’t own the song ‘anti nostalgic’ by Mad Soldiers. If you’ve caught on yet, all of the titles of everything are song titles. Maybe I’ll come up with a reason for that later on. You’ll have to wait to see >.>
Note: I’m so sorry for the lack of updating T.T As soon as I got back from vacationing, I went to band camp and then marching band season started and all hell broke loose. Now that I’m done with marching season, I have a bit more free time, so I’ll be updating more! I promise to get another chapter in before Christmas, as a Christmas present to the readers. It’ll be hard though because I have a million other things to write too! Gah I hate being a fiction writer sometimes x_X Oh and I’m gonna reply to my reviewers at the end of the chapter. The ones from MM.org and AFF.net ^.^ You guys keep me going <3
*~*
“Yuugi?!”
“Ryou, I’m so scared.” Everyone heard Yuugi whimper through the television.
“Yuugi, what’s happening?” Ryou asked, bolting up to get closer to the TV.
“The-they took Yami. He’s gone.” Yuugi choked out, before a fizzing sound was heard. “Help me, Ryou. I don’t know where I am...” The computer suddenly cut the connection between the two of them. Ryou whined and pawed at the television.
“Computer,” Malik started, calmly, “Can you track the signal?”
“Hai, Ishtar-san.” The television screen went blank. Ryou sighed dejectedly and sat back down on the couch.
They had always known something like this was going to happen. Yuugi had started dating one of the underground Yakuza members named Yami who was in the drug dealing business. Of course, Yami was a great guy and was clean of drugs and alcohol, but stuff like that got a person in trouble. They knew they couldn’t of gotten involved because it went against their moral code, but now that Yami was gone, Yuugi was just a person in need of help, and they could take down some Yakuza as an added bonus.
“I always loved a good rescue mission.” Otogi said, distantly. Ryou shot him a nasty glare before curling up on Malik’s lap.
“How soon can we leave?” Ryou asked, looking at Malik with his sad, pathetic doe eyes.
“Tomorrow.” He said, running his fingers through Ryou’s snow-white hair. “Jou, you have to take care of the other job. We’ll find an extra car and take it down to the site tomorrow. We’ll rescue, capture and all that good stuff, while you take care of this American terrorist, mmkay?” Malik asked. Jou nodded.
“I’ll read the papers and then give Seto a call regarding the money income and see how he’s handling that as well.” Jounouchi smiled and stuffed his hands in his pockets, walking toward his bedroom. Otogi was going to follow when he remembered that he did have a job to fulfill as well.
“Ishtar-san,” The computer interrupted, “The location of subject A, Mutou Yuugi, is three miles southeast from the edge of Kyoto. I’ve detected two other subjects aside from subject A. Do you want information regarding subjects B and C?”
“No. Thank you computer.” Malik said, dissmissively. It was late and he wanted nothing more than to discuss the basics of their rescue mission before heading off to bed. Tomorrow was going to be one hell of a day.
“Hai, Ishtar-san.” The screen went black again and Ryou relaxed. He had never quite gotten used to the fact that Malik’s huge hunk of computer down in the basement could think for itself and was probably smarter than Malik, Ryou and Jounouchi put together.
“So, are we getting a junk car to take down to the site and go in, guns a’blazin or what?” Otogi asked, smirking. Malik laughed.
“Something to that effect. This plan is not infallible, so we have to act carefully. Otogi, pack some of Jou’s explosives and we’re going to need some submachine guns. Ryou, I don’t want you fighting. While Otogi and I distract these people, you need to find Yuugi as quickly as possible. We don’t know the layout. I don’t want to ask the computer for a map, but prepare for the worst.” Ryou nodded gravely and got up. “As for me, all I need are Ebenholz and Elfenbein and I’m set.” Malik grinned crookedly.
Ryou smiled. “Thank you, Malik. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” He sighed. “Well, I’m going to cancel all of my afternoon appointments tomorrow. Night.” Malik and Otogi nodded at Ryou’s receding figure before parting ways themselves.
*~*
When Malik had finally dragged himself out of bed, everyone had seated themselves at the breakfast table as usual. No one would’ve expected that they were all preparing for their doom, but little did they know how this mission paled in comparison to what lay ahead of them.
They had all been through some pretty rough things, but this was the first rescue mission where they had close to no information. The computer had detected two people, but that meant nothing. There could’ve been close to two million and they wouldn’t of known.
Malik sighed and ran a hand through his hair before nibbling on his toast. “How’s Seto?” He asked Jou, before sipping at his orange juice.
“He’s pretty good. He’s amazed at all the money he’s been collecting from the police and he’s having a hard time trying to keep the government from finding out our identities.” Everyone laughed, before going back to eating. “But yeah, he’s better than ever. Says he could just dump all of his other clients and still keep the enormous mansion that he lives in by what he’s getting from us alone.”
“Well, of course.” Otogi said, shaking his head. “We’re bloody millionaires.”
“Who work at a shrine earning a little less than minimum wage. You have to love secret identities.” Ryou said, shaking his head.
Putting down the newspaper he was reading, Jounouchi got up. “Well, looks like I’m off to catch a terrorist. See you all later.” He said, tipping his invisible hat. Picking up a black bag on the way out, he headed out the door and got into the sports car waiting outside for him.
The drive was long and incredibly boring. Jounouchi had dressed himself nicely and even had a pair of shades on. Driving into a parking lot, he parked his car and stretched, before sitting on the hood. Just as he started humming the tune to a random song, someone pulled up in a black limousine.
A brown haired man wearing dark glasses and a nice suit stepped out of the driver’s seat. “Wow, I never thought I’d live to see the famous Seto Kaiba driving his own limousine.” Jounouchi said with a smirk. Seto rolled his eyes exasperatedly after taking off his sunglasses.
“Just give me your damn sports car and try not to ruin this car too badly.” Seto said.
“I’ll try, but I ain’t promising you anything.” Jounouchi said, before sliding into the driver’s seat of the limousine. Getting a piece of paper, he wrote “Alex Liddell” in the best English he could muster and then took off without even waving at Seto Kaiba.
The first thing Alex Liddell saw when he got entered baggage claim was a tall Japanese man with blonde-ish hair holding a sign with his name on it. The scary looking American eyed Jounouchi before walking toward him.
“Yo. I don’t order no limousine.” He said, saying each word slowly.
“Someone out there’s looking out for ya.” Jounouchi said back, in perfect English. Alex looked dumbstruck and just followed Jounouchi and let the ‘limo driver’ help him get his bags together.
When they had entered the limo, Alex was silent for a really long time as he fiddled with something in his bag.
“So, is this your first time in Japan?” Jou asked, looking at Alex in the rearview mirror. ‘Could he be any more obvious that he’s tinkering with a bomb?’ The blonde thought to himself, mentally rolling his eyes.
“Yeah.” Alex said, simply.
“Oh, interesting...”
*~*
Around this time, Otogi, Ryou and Malik had already set off toward the destination. After leaving the city of Kyoto, all they could see was farmland.
“Well, great.” Malik said, before looking over at Otogi. “So, which patch of farm land is it, approximately?”
“Uh... keep going. It should have a corn field, which is out of place.” Otogi said, simply. When they had reached the corn field, Malik turned around in the car and looked at Otogi and Ryou.
“Remember what I said. Otogi and I are going to go in waving sub-machine guns and you’re going to look for Yuugi.” He said, looking directly at Ryou. Pulling a small hand gun out of the pocket of his trench coat, he handed it to Ryou.”I crafted it myself this morning. There are only three bullets. Use them wisely.” Ryou nodded and got out of the car to get a head start in finding Ryou.
After Malik and Otogi and gotten out, they went over to the trunk. Opening it, they each grabbed a submachine gun and strapped it to their bodies, hiding them underneath their trench coats. Trench coats were truly useful things.

“Look, where are we going?” Alex asked, as he looked out the window.
“Well, I thought we could sightsee before we got to your hotel, so I took a detour.” Jounouchi said, smiling brightly. Alex bristled.
“Look, just take me to my fucking hotel, okay?!”
“Hey, hey, no reason to get angry. Just calm down. Besides, the view is beautiful.” Jounouchi assured.
“Fucker.” Alex muttered under his breath. Jounouchi almost started laughing, but decided against it. It wasn’t very nice to laugh at a man with a bomb. Spotting an abandoned lot quite far from civilization (or as far as he could get), he pulled the limousine into it.
“Care for a smoke?”
*~*
Pushing through as much corn as they could, staying as close to Ryou as possible, the three made their way toward the small grey building that was probably use for storing hay at one point.
“You think this is really it?” Otogi whispered. Malik nodded and gave the cue for the two of them to pull of their submachine guns.
“On the count of three?” Otogi asked. Malik nodded once more. “One... two.... thr--” Before he could finish, Malik slammed his foot against the door, bringing it down in one swift motion. Two men with guns immediately attacked them but were gunned down faster than one could say ‘Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.’
“Ryou! GO!” Malik said, causing the albino to snap out of his daze and dash for the staircase that he saw in the corner.
“This should be fun!” Otogi said, as he eyed ten or twelve more men, who began to surround them at all sides, pointing rifles, pistols, and other assorted guns at them.
“Good thing we packed the Kevlar!” Malik said, with a smirk.
*~*
“I don’t smoke.” Alex said, opening the door. He stepped out and looked out over the city. It was a perfect view of Tokyo. But he also realized how far away he was from Tokyo, and that's where his hotel was. “He--”
“See. I told you the view was beautiful.” Jounouchi said, before knocking Alex out cold. Duct taping his hands, feet and mouth, he quickly pulled the bag out with the bomb in it. “Jesus. What was the idiot thinking?” He asked, looking at the bomb. It would kill roughly about... one person. And that one person was himself. Rolling his eyes, Jounouchi pulled something out of his pocket, punched a few numbers in and then put it in the limo.
Just as he was picking up Alex’s body, a small sports car pulled up over the hill and Seto, sunglasses and all, poked his head out of the window. “Going somewhere?” He asked, smirking.
Jounouchi let himself smirk as well and began stuffing Alex’s body into the trunk. “We better hurry. This thing’s gonna blow.” He said, pointing toward the limo. Getting into the passengers seat, Seto stepped on the gas and they sped away.
*~*
“Yuugi?!” Ryou called, searching every room of the downstairs that he could. He head a slight muffled yell followed by the sound of flesh against flesh. Pushing open a door, he came face to face with one of the Yakuza underlings that kept attacking Malik and Otogi.
“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” He asked, with a smirk. There was another muffled yell coming from one corner of the room. Ryou didn’t dare look in the direction, but he knew it was Yuugi. Reaching toward his pocket, his hand found one of his acupuncture needles. “You’re a pretty on--” Before he could even finish his sentence, the needle found its way into the pressure point on his neck. Falling backwards and hitting the wall, he slid down, leaving a trail of blood as he went down. Taking the needle out of his neck, he put it in his mouth. It was best not to leave evidence.
Finally turning, he saw a very bruised and bloodied Yuugi. Ryou smiled and rushed toward his old High School friend. Untying him, Yuugi kept screaming. When the duct tape was removed from his mouth, he finally got it out.
“They have rocket launchers!”
*~*
Malik dodged another arm that was swung at him before gunning down a few more people. They just came out of nowhere. “This is like Resident Evil gone wrong.” He shouted to Otogi, who only grunted in agreement. Once the ground was littered with bodies, two men stepped out from behind a hay stack holding guns bigger than Jounouchi’s.
“Rocket launchers?” Malik asked, laughing. “That’s a little overkill, don’t ya think?”
“In order to keep anyone from leaving, we have to do what we have to do.” One of the two men shrugged, with a smile.
“So, you’re the guys in charge?” Otogi asked, crossing his arms, his own gun pointed at one of the mans legs.
“I guess you could say that.” The other one said, before he pressed down on the trigger. But just as it was about to click, something came flying out of nowhere and into the man’s hand. Screaming, he dropped the launcher onto a bundle of hay, before caressing his hand. There was an acupuncture needle sticking out of it.
While the other man was dumbstruck, Malik kicked him in the shins, successfully bringing him down. Otogi was quick to tie that one up, but Mr. Bleeding Hand was running as fast as his puny legs could take him.
Pulling out Ebenholz, Malik aimed it at the back of his leg, where the knee cap would be, and shot . Screaming again, he fell down in a bloody heap. Otogi got him too. Ryou ran up to them carrying Yuugi in his arms.
“Mission accomplished?” He asked, smiling.
“Note quite...” Malik whispered, noticing that more and more men began to appear. Otogi grabbed both of the men that he had tied up and started running for the door. “Ryou!” He called, and the albino obediently ran after him. Grabbing Otogi’s discarded submachine gun, he gritted his teeth and pulled the trigger on both guns, trying to keep them steady as he quickly killed every man in the room.
Drenched with blood and sweat, Malik ran after Otogi, occasionally turning around to gun down another man. When he had reached the car, he noticed what the other two had noticed. It was smoking.
“Fuck.” Otogi cursed, hanging his head.
Just as they were about to start walking back, which would have never worked, a beat up, old truck pulled up and a familiar blonde poked his head out of the window. “Need a lift?” He asked, smirking. Malik smiled and helped Otogi dump the bodies and guns in the back.
Ryou and Yuugi claimed the seats and Malik and Otogi had volunteered to start bandaging the wounds on the bleeding one so he wouldn’t die in their care. They always got more money when they were alive, anyway.
“For a second, I thought we were going to die.” Malik whispered, after they had dropped all three bodies off at the police station. Otogi nodded and then hugged Ryou tightly. Ryou tried not to lean against Yuugi, and instead let the smaller boy lean against him.
“Mission accomplished.” Ryou said, before yawning.
When they had gotten back home, Jounouchi left to clean the blood from the truck and get rid of it where he had gotten it. Malik and Otogi helped Ryou take Yuugi inside.
“He’ll have to say in the basement for now.” Malik said, opening the trapdoor. “You don’t know what’s going to happen to him.”
Ryou shook his head violently. “He’s been tortured! The last thing we want to do is leave him alone underground.”
“He’s right, Malik.” Otogi chimed in. “He can stay in Ryou’s room. Everything will be fine, for now. No one knows of our identities. We killed every fucking man in that storehouse and we even blew it up afterwards. No one survived.”
“Fine.” Malik said, giving in. “But we really have to be careful now. Harboring Yuugi won’t be easy.”
*~*
A dark figure approached the lone, cloaked man, who was polishing his katana. The dark figure dropped a stack of papers at his feet.
“I have a new list for you.” He whispered. The person stopped polishing his katana and picked it up, leafing through the pages.
“And what if I don’t want to kill all of them?” He asked, setting the papers aside.
“I’m paying you to kill all of them. If you can’t get the job done, then I’ll slit your throat with your own sword.” The dark figure cackled maniacally before turning around and walking away.
*~*
Oooh dark figure makes his first appearance and katana boy returns! You shall see who they are soon~ *cackles* That is, if you keep reading. God, this chapter took a lot out of me. It took me a couple hours, which is nice because usually I spread out chapter making over a few days. It’s probably crap though, but you can’t blame me. It’s eleven o’clock and my brain hasn’t been functioning at all.
Happy Turkey Day, you people out there XD
Anyway, gonna respond to reviews before I edit my stuff.
aspiker: Well, yeah. I kinda liked the way it started XD Very interesting, but not really too interesting that everything seems boring. It gets more action-y as things progress. Soon, there will be lots more blood and sex. XD Yes. Thank you!
Mana_13: Awww, how did you know that I love cookies! Thank you! Well, enjoy my updates >.> And review more. Buyo loves reviews! But I love hits just as much as reviews. It’s nice to know how many times my story’s been viewed ^__^
Daaku.: Well, I’m glad someone thought that the sex scene was amazingly hot. I actually thought the part in the strip club was rather boring because I didn’t get any time to think about it and perfect the details. Ah well T.T Well, yay, someone loves me though XD I promise more sexiness in the future. Most definitely. I love lemons XD
BakuraxMaliknum1fan: XD Yay! That was actually my first yaoi lemon written down as a fan fiction. I’ve done some soft core yaoi before, in fiction, but never anything too explicit. I normally don’t make my lemons too explicit and stop them at a good place because the lemon isn’t really part of the story, but sex plays a huge part in this story and in my other one, Liberi Fatali XD Well, thank you! And look. An update! I have fulfilled many people’s wishes XD
lovebug: Whoo! My lone MM.org reviewer! Thank you for the compliment. It isn’t actually every day when people tell me I have a knack for writing, so I love hearing it. <3! Thank you soooo much! ^___^ Loves to you!!
Well, I’m exhausted, but I must get this up tonight. x.x Thanks for reading. Please review. Then I’ll like... answer your review and your name will be in my fic XD Yay, right?
Love, Buyo (whoo nine pages again x_X)
