Mistress: This chapter should be about the same length as the ones prior to this chapter. As always I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing this. And before I forget some of the ideas are credited to other stories I have read. Thank you,
Chapter 4: The Targets
Winter has now passed and there is a warm breeze flowing through the open window. The white silken curtains flutter softly and the sun plays on my face. You went for vacation after our last chapter and then you were preoccupied with homework. I didn't mind as long as you would be coming back. As I had hope I see your face looking in through the open window. As you climb over the window you sputter apologies. I am only glad that you decided to come back. I grin as I open the book again. Today's chapter will switch views for awhile…
The class bell chimed through the school releasing the students momentarily before they were to be forced back into the small prisons. Through the long, white walled halls the lines at the water fountains reached behind corners. The heat only seemed to increase the more they drank or tried to cool down.
Three boys watched as the class sluggishly yet quickly filed out the door. Groaning softly Yugi let the chair plop back down to its original position. Ryou closed his eyes and used his shaking hands to pull himself up, his wet cheek coming off of the desk like a sticker. Malik, the last of the boys, grinned at his companions' misery. Soon his grin turned into hearty laughter. Ryou and Yugi glared at the younger boy. That's right younger. Malik was the youngest and Yugi the eldest, although it certainly didn't look that way.
Dismissing Yugi and Ryou's glares he started humming while walking to the door, irritating the two boys to no end.
“I don't know what you two are complaining about, the weather is perfectly fine!” Malik exclaimed.
“Well excuse me your majesty but not all of us are immune to heat,” Ryou hissed.
“Easy there Snow White,” Malik said holding his hands up in front of him.
Ryou growled in the back of his throat but let the subject drop. Malik sent Yugi a question mark behind Ryou's back. The small boy replied with a shrug. They knew Ryou to be extra temperamental but now Ryou had snapped at Malik nine times in counting and snapped at Yugi trice. Before Yugi or Malik could ask Ryou what was bothering him they had already entered the classroom.
And thus the day passed by. Ryou, avoiding his two friends and Yugi and Malik were trying in vain to corner him. The final bell rang and a loud cheer erupted form the student body. Blurs of blue ran through the streets, all racing to get home or swimming. Malik and Yugi ran past the other students into the opposite direction. Both arrived at their spot under the wilting Sakura tree. Ryou was nowhere to be found. Saying good bye to each other Yugi and Malik proceeded home both promising to be online.
Yugi's walk home even though short was very tiring. The sun beat against his back and head making him dizzier with each step. If he was having it this bad he couldn't even begin to imagine what Ryou must be going through. His feet hindered one another constantly as he walked for forward on the glowing pavement. Finally he reached the welcoming silver door. His head cleared slightly as his sweaty palm touched the cool metal handle that had been protected by the shade. He fumbled in his pocket for the key and sighed with relief as he found it. The cool blast of air that hit him was well welcomed by the short teen.
Instead of walking home like his best friends Malik rode a motorbike. It was silver with the name `Egyptian Queen' carved in gold on the sides. His hair whipped around him as he tore into the road. He grinned like a devil as he swerved around and in front of a truck. He was enjoying himself so much he almost missed his exit. Almost…he brought his bike around with a sharp tug on the handles and winced as behind him he heard tires squealing.
Yugi had now shed his leather attire and changed into his loose white sweats. In his left hand he had a bowl and in his right a spoon. Settled onto his hip was a carton of strawberry ice cream. Looking from the white bowl to the carton he quickly put the bowl down and brought the entire carton up to his room with him.
Yugi's room was dimly lit even though the window was open. His bed stood right under the window with its midnight blue covers and pillow. At the foot of the bed stood a book case and across form it a maple drawer. On the other end of the room was a desk with a silver, flat screen computer. Yugi marched over to it, kicking puzzles and homework out of the way as he went.
Logging on he went straight to the net and to his, Malik's and Ryou's chat room hoping they were there.

I close the book again. This chapter has now been completed. The first chapter dedicated to the three outcast boys. I close the book again and watch as you excuse yourself and run out the door. I smile and put the book down onto the white tablecloth. I leave the room shortly after you do.
AUTHORS BLAH BLAH
This was actually difficult to write. Did it sound choppy? I hope not. The last part was written while multi-tasking. X_X ^__^ Nothing else to say about this….
