Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Knight's Magic ❯ Dark Knight's Moon ( One-Shot )
Dark Knight's Magic
Hey ya, all! Alright, this is my first Yugi-Oh fanfic, so it probably wont be so good, but I can always try, ;)! There is a twist to it. I mean, hey, this is the first story I have come across with this kind of plot to it. But, if you don't like it, feel free to tell me as such. I have a riddle for you, if you answer it correctly, you will know the answers to the riddles at the end of this story: Causing wounds and cleansing. History dies from its rising. Life or scars is its blessing. What am I?
Ok, enjoy the story!
Blinking. Blinking on. Blinking off. Forever blinking. Uncontrollable. Insanity. Pain. Sorrow. Love. Joy. Ecstasy. Hope. Always hope. Forever hopeful. Hoping. Hoping to see him again.
Yami came out of his own world. He looked at the T.V set. Some God-forsaken home shopping show, advertising knives was on. Yami shook his head. His tri-colored hair bouncing around. He knew he had to get to the bed, otherwise Yugi would ask him about it.
This would have been the ninth night that Yami hadn't been in bed when Yugi awoke. To be honest, with himself, if not anyone else, Yami was beginning to doubt himself. The majority of the times Yugi had found Yami on the sofa, Yami had been cuddling a pillow. Running his hands over it, as if he were caressing a body.
Yami knew that Yugi knew something was going on. Something that Yami hadn't want to tell Yugi, but knew he had to. Yami had never kept anything from his light, and wasn't about to start now. Yami only needed to conjure up the courage to tell his light what he thought about a certain someone.
Yami isn't even sure why he feels this way about the person. Or spirit. Yami always referred to the person as a him. He knew full well that all beings have feelings. No matter what they are. He cleared his throat, turned the television off, and made his way, silently, up the stairs into the room that he and Yugi shared.
Yami slipped into the bed fluently. He watched his sleeping light for a few moments before closing his own eyes and allowing the black abyss of sleep to overwhelm him. He knew he was in for it in the morning, but at the moment, he couldn't care less. Metaphors of him were flashing before his closed eyelids.

Yami woke well after midday. He prolonged under the covers. He looked at the empty place adjacent to him. A small smiled spread itself across Yami's lips as he wished someone would fill that spot. Yes, he would fill that place, perfectly, Yami thought, and grinned.
He looked up when he heard the doorbell. Yami groaned and got out of the bed. He really hated it when someone or something would interrupt his fantasies. None the less, Yami tried to make his way down the stairs. He opened the door.
`I have a package for Solomon Mouto,' the man at the door said, as he held out a brown package.
Yami raised an eyebrow. `You do not honestly think I am him, do you?' Yami giggled.
`Well, can you just sign here and take the package, please? Its my last delivery, and I frankly don't care who takes it. Just as long as someone does, so I can knock off.' The man held out a clipboard.
Yami sighed and signed his name. Unfortunately, he did it hieroglyphics. But the man at the door didn't seem to care. Infact, he didn't even check. Just nodded his head and left. Yami closed the door, and shook the package. Well, whatever it is, it isn't going anywhere soon, he mused in his mind and placed the package down on the table in the hall.
He went back to the room, and began sifting through his deck. Yami's eyes scanned the cards. Celtic Guardian. Gaia the Fierce Knight. Summon Skull. Guardian of the Fortress. His eyes lovingly looked over the Dark Magician. His most prized possession. Not that it mattered. It was only a card, and the only time Yami saw him, was when he was brought to life on the holographic projectors.
Yami exhaled and placed the deck on the bedside chest. He got back under the covers, and closed his eyes. Images of the man he ever thought sexually about, flashed before them. Without knowing, Yami slipped off into a deep sleep.

Yami was rudely awoken when Yugi threw himself on the bed purposely. `Well, I hope you had a hard day of doing nothing,' Yugi said, as he laid on his stomach and looked at Yami.
Yami sat up. `What did I do now?' he cautiously asked, wondering he wanted to know the answer.
Yugi got off the bed and walked into the bathroom. He splashed cold water of his face, dried it and walked back into the room. A few moments passed before Yugi answered.
`You were late into bed again, last night.' Came the reply.
Yami was right. He didn't want to know the answer.
`Yugi, I'm sorry about that. Its just, there are a few things that have gotten, even me, confused. I promise, that when I figure things out, I will tell you what's been bothering me.' Yami smiled at his light. Hoping, praying that Yugi would accept that.
Wrong.
`Yami, you've been telling me that for the last two months. Something is going on, and I want to know.' Yugi frowned slightly and looked into Yami's almost crimson eyes.
I have to tell him. There's not a snowflakes chance in hell that I'll be getting out of this one, Yami thought drearily. `I'm in love with someone, whom I know cannon, and probably will not, love me back,' Yami answered truthfully. Indeed, he had told Yugi about him attracted to men. He only hoped Yugi would understand this as well.
Yugi raised an eyebrow. `Who is it?'
`That's what's been bothering me so much. I know he's in my mind, and that I can summon him at will, but something always holds me back.' Yami ran a hand through his hair.
Yugi frowned in thought. Yami had used a certain word, that didn't seem to fit in with what he was talking about. It didn't seem right to use that word.
`Are you talking about who I think you're talking about?' Yugi asked, not that it made much sense to anyone.
`That depends. Who are thinking about?' Yami knew he was stalling. His answering a question with a question just might confuse the little one, and keep him awake all night trying to figure it out.
`Are you talking about the Dark Magician?'

Yami still didn't know what came over him. He still asked himself why he nodded when Yugi asked him that question. Yami was still trying to figure out how Yugi knew. He hadn't meant for the light to know about his utterly, completely and totally weird obsession with the card. And yet, whenever he closed his eyes, the Dark Magician's face always appeared. Always taunting with that smirk. That night, Yami went back into the puzzle. He needed to think things over.
When in his own realm, Yami still couldn't be rid himself of the hot, sensual metaphors that always clouded his mind about the Dark Magician. Needless to say, Yami really lusted after the Dark Magician.
As Yami walked the corridors of his mind, the Dark Magician was everywhere. With that playful smirk on his illegally handsome face. Yami hadn't hung around to see or hear Yugi's response. But, for some unknown reason, Yami had a feeling that Yugi was calling the local mental asylum.
To be honest, Yami didn't really want to know Yugi's response. He did, although, handle me being gay quite well, Yami considered in his mind. But this, this is too much for the young one to handle. Knowing my luck, I've probably just driven the last molecule of sanity from him.
`Is something wrong?'
Yami literally screamed like a girl at the sound of the voice. He turned, there was the man that haunted him. Yami knew it was pointless trying to slow his heartbeat, so he just let it thud away in his chest.
`No,' Yami answered, `but at the same time, yes. There's something wrong with me. And you being you, probably already know what it is.'
The Dark Magician smirked. `There are many aspects that I know about you, master. Some are for me to know and you to unlock, yourself. Others, you let the world know of.' The Magician's pale eyes settled on Yami's dark ones.
Yami groaned and shook his head. `That was a lot of help. So, I'm taking it, you know about my loving you?' Yami really couldn't bring himself to raise his head, and look his most loyal card in the eye.
The Dark Magician laughed. A heavenly sound. `Of course, master. Its not like you hid it from me, or any of the other cards. I knew that your admiration would soon become affection, would then lead to love.'
Once again, Yami groaned. `If you knew, why didn't you warn of me of such?'
`As I said, master, some aspects are for me to know and you to unlock. I cannot tell you everything. Answer me this, how do you tame the untamable?' With that, the Dark Magician disappeared.
Yami looked up. He already knew the answer. Yugi had shown him that. But, the Dark Magician was gone, and he wasn't sure if he would ever get the chance to answer his riddle. Though, like the Dark Magician had said, he knew things about Yami, that not even Yami knew himself. Yami smiled. He knew the Dark Magician knew his answer. But, what can one do, when the untamable becomes tame, then turns?
