Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Dartz and the Chipmunk reunited! ❯ Dartz reunited! ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Hiya! This is a sequel to my story `Dartz and the Chipmunk'! If you haven't read it, you should, or this story might not make sense. I wasn't thinking of doing a sequel, but a reviewer to `Dartz and the Chipmunk' DISCY wanted me to make one. So here it is! It starts about three years after Duke was the chipmunk. (Also, let's just say that Dartz decided to call off his plan of summoning the great Leviathan and so he became a good guy. ^^;;) Also, please note I've never done a sequel before. DISCY, this is for you! ^_^

Warning: Shounen-ai, I won't say who though. ^_^ You'll just have to read to find out. If you don't like shounen-ai, then don't read this!

Dartz sat at his meeting table twiddling his thumbs. Man was he bored. He hadn't really done anything spontaneous since his plan on summoning the great Leviathan. Which he had cancelled. He could remember the day he called it off so well!:

“Dartz! I shall stop you!” Came the sound of Yami's voice. Dartz was currently enjoying a sub from Subway, unaware that the pharaoh was gonna find him.

“Hold your horses, lemme finish my sub!” Dartz yelled.

“NO! I bet you stole that too!” Yami's voice yelled. “I shall duel and defeat you! That way you cannot summon Leviathan!”

Dartz stared at Yami. “Eh, I'm over that!” Yami looked at Dartz in surprise.

“W-What?” Yami asked.

“Yeah, I figured it's not worth it. I've freed all the souls and stuff.” Dartz said standing up from his seat. “I've decided to be a good guy now.”

“O-Okay, well I guess I'll be going then.” Yami said, and left.

Dartz sighed as he was reminded of that memory. Not only was he bored, he had told his workers they were free to live happy normal lives. Raphael was teaching kids how to play Duel Monsters, Valon was doing who knows what on his motorcycle, and Allister was living happily with Seto Kaiba. (Yes, you read right, I said Allister with Seto. You can't blame me, I like the pairing.)

“I should go visit them.” Dartz said to himself. He went up to his room to get changed into something more appropriate for the city. As he walked to his dresser, he was greeted with a familiar picture. It was one with him and a chipmunk. He sighed, he remembered quite perfectly back when he was taking care of this little woodland creature he had found injured on the street. Although, technically it was a person, namely Duke Devlin. He had made a friend, in a way. And he erased that friend's memories of ever knowing him. He ignored it as he pulled on a black tank top and a pair of jeans.

Dartz's first visit when he got to the city was to Raphael. He knocked on the door to Raphael's house where he was greeted by a familiar blonde spiky-haired man.

“Dartz!” Raphael said, pulling Dartz into a hug. “How have you been?”

“Um.. Okay I guess.” Dartz replied. “I can't breathe though.”

“Oh, sorry.” Raphael said as he stopped hugging Dartz. “Come in, come in!” Dartz walked into the house after Raphael, closing the door behind him.

“How have you been, Raphael?” Dartz asked as he sat on a couch across from the blonde.

“Pretty good, actually. It is so great to see the smile on a kid's face when they learn something new!” Raphael replied.

“I'm sure it is.” Dartz replied, smiling. “How are Valon and Allister? Do you know?”

“I saw Valon getting chased down by some angry city dwellers. That mean's he's fine, I think. And I'm not sure about Allister.” Raphael answered.

“Raphael, do you hate me?” Dartz asked.

“What? No, I don't hate you. Why would I?” Raphael asked.

“Well I didn't much care for any of you, you all were just pawns for me to use to summon Leviathan.” Dartz said, looking at the ground. “I'm sorry.”

“Dartz, I don't hate you. You might have not cared, but you know better now. And that's what matters.” Raphael said, hugging Dartz.

“Thanks Raphael.” Dartz said. “I'm gonna get going, I'm going to go visit Allister and, if I can track him down, Valon.” Raphael let go of Dartz so he could get up.

“Don't be a stranger, okay?” Raphael said.

“Alright.” Dartz said, and he walked out the door. Dartz remembered the streets of Domino well, so he knew a shortcut to the Kaiba mansion from Raphael's house. Dartz ran through an alleyway, jumped past a metal fence, walked through some backyards, and after about fifteen minutes, was in front of the mansion. He knocked on the door, to be greeted by none other then Seto Kaiba.

“What?” Seto said as he answered the door.

“Is Allister home?” Dartz asked.

“Come in..” Seto said darkly. He didn't exactly like Dartz, he might have changed, but that didn't change the fact Dartz bought Kaiba Corp three years ago. Dartz walked into the mansion while Seto shut the door.

“Stay here while I go get him.” Seto said to Dartz as he walked up the stairs. Dartz walked into the living room.

“Hey Allister!” Seto said as he walked into their room.

“Yeah?” Allister asked.

“Your old boss is here.. He's waiting downstairs. If you need me to beat him up for you, I'll be in the computer room working on my new project.” Seto said, he kissed Allister on the lips and then walked out of the room. Allister walked out of the room and down the stairs into the living room.

“Hey Dartz.” Allister said.

“Hi.” Dartz said as Allister sat next to him.

“How's it going?” Allister asked.

“Not bad, a little boring around the Head Quarters.” Dartz answered. “How about you? Are you happy with Seto?”

Allister blushed. “Good.”

“You're blushing Allister.. Any particular reason?” Dartz asked, smirking.

“Uh.. I don't really wanna share.” Allister answered, blushing even more.

“I see, does Mokuba know?” Dartz asked, trying not to laugh hysterically.

“DARTZ!” Allister yelled.

“It's just a question!” Dartz said, trying to protect himself from Allister.

“I am NOT going to tell Seto's thirteen year old brother about what Seto and I do!” Allister yelled.

“Alright.” Dartz said, laughing a bit. Just then, a crash came through the wall and Valon was on his motorcycle, with bricks and plaster in a heap on the floor behind him.

“Yo.” Valon said as he took off his helmet and lifted his goggles to the top of his head.

“YOU DESTROYED THE HOUSE!!” Allister yelled.

“Only the wall. Look, you need to help me! The police are chasing me!” Valon said.

“What did you do?” Allister asked.

“I might have stolen a few thousand dollars from the bank.” Valon said. “Oh, hi there Dartz!”

“Hi.” Dartz said.

“Look, I'll hide you here for a little bit, but you better find a way to return the money you stole!” Allister said. Dartz got up from the couch. “Where are you going, Dartz?”

“I came here to visit you all to see how you were doing. You all seem to be fine, I'm gonna go back to Head Quarters.” Dartz answered.

“Alright. It was nice to see you.” Allister said, waving.

“Bye.” Valon said.

“See you.” and with that, Dartz left.

Dartz started to walk back to where he had left the helicopter. He walked quicker, as he hated walking around the city, having people look at him funny. After all, it's not his fault his eyes are bi-colored. He accidentally walked into someone.

“Oh, sorry.” He said.

“No, my fault.” The young man said. Dartz recognized him immediately. It was Duke Devlin. “Hello?” Duke waved his hand in front of Dartz's face.

“Do you know who I am?” Dartz asked. Duke looked at him oddly. After all, that's not the kind of question you would get asked by a stranger.

“Should I?” Duke asked.

“Uh.... No. Sorry, you just remind me of an old friend.” Dartz said sadly.

`He does seem kind of familiar. I don't know how though..' Duke thought. When Duke snapped out of his thoughts, he noticed Dartz had left.

Dartz sighed as he walked into Head Quarters. He never expected to see Duke again. He went into the kitchen and made himself some chicken for dinner. He walked into the meeting room and started eating, he looked around the empty room. Something was missing. Believe it or not, Dartz didn't really like being alone. He finished his chicken and washed his plate. He walked up the stairs and into his room to go to bed.

He woke up the next morning with a splitting Headache. He groaned as he got out of bed and walked to the shower room. He turned on the water and had a hot shower. He dried himself off and put on a black tank top with a fishnet top over it, a pair of jeans, and boots. He walked down the stairs and looked in the cabinet for something to get rid of his Headache. He found nothing, so he decided to just grab a box of Honeycomb and eat some of that.

“I should probably go to the store and get something for my Headache..” Dartz said to himself as he ate some cereal. “Although I hate going to the City. Everyone there stares at me like a moron. I hate morons.”

Dartz finished his cereal and got into his helicopter and flew off to Domino City again. He landed about an hour later and stepped out of the helicopter. He had no clue whatsoever where the store was. Maybe he could ask someone if they had anything for his Headache?

He walked around the city some more, picking up some stares from people. A few girls looked at him and giggled. Dartz ignored this while he walked. He stopped in front of the Black Clown Game Shop. Maybe Duke had something? NO! Why was he even there? He walked into the shop where he was greeted by a young man behind a counter.

“May I help you?” The man asked.

“Is Duke Devlin here?” Dartz asked.

“I'm sorry, he went out. He won't be back for awhile.” The man replied.

“Oh. Okay, thank you.” Dartz walked out of the store and continued to walk around.

`Duke is the least of my concerns! God! Why should I even care? Maybe because... He was my only friend as a chipmunk? No. That's long since passed. Right now, I gotta get rid of this headache.' Dartz thought as he walked through the city. Why was it so hard to find one store? He walked past the Turtle Game Shop, he considered asking Yugi to tell him where he could find a store, but he decided against it. He didn't need anyone's help! He was Dartz! Dartz needs no one, right?

“It's you!” Dartz turned his head to see Duke walking up behind him. “You're the same guy I saw yesterday.”

“Er. Hi..” Dartz said as Duke stopped next to him.

“You asked me if I knew who you were... Tell me, how do you know me?” Duke asked. Dartz merely shook his head, signifying he wasn't going to say anything. “Tell me!”

“No.” Dartz continued on his way, leaving a currently very annoyed Duke behind. All of a sudden, he crashed to the ground. Duke had tackled him down.

“Tell me this instant!” Obviously, Duke didn't like it when people didn't tell him things. “Don't make me hurt you.”

“You...” Dartz started. “wouldn't believe me.”

“Try me..” Duke said as he got off of Dartz. Dartz sighed and stood up, facing Duke.

“It was a long time ago, about three years. Do you remember ever wishing on a star. Something about wanting to know what Chipmunks feel?” Dartz asked.

“Yeah.. How do you know?!” Duke replied.

“Well.. The morning after you wished upon the star, I found you injured on the sidewalk. So I took you to my Head Quarters and treated your wounds.. I thought you were merely a common chipmunk. But you drew me a picture to tell me you were a human, and so I gave you something that would change you back.” Dartz explained.

Duke was speechless. After all, it's not everyday someone tells you something that sounds as far-fetched as what Dartz had just told him. “If this is true....”

“It is true!” Dartz said.

“Alright. Then how come I don't remember it?” Duke asked.

“That's because... I erased your memory after you turned back into a human. I erased the part of you ever knowing me, or my Head Quarters.” Dartz said sadly.

Duke looked at Dartz, he was either telling the truth, or he was very good at keeping a straight face.

“I even have proof!” Dartz said. He pulled out a piece of picture which had a stick figure on it, which looked like Duke, and a wobbly looking arrow with the word `me' written very sloppily above it pointing to the figure. Duke took the picture and examined it. “Uh.. N-Nevermind. forget I said anything” Dartz started to walk hastily away from Duke, but Duke grabbed his wrist to stop him.

“Wait.” Duke said. “I believe you... Let's go to where I live. We can talk there.” Duke let go of Dartz's wrist and motioned for him to follow him. Dartz turned around and followed where Duke was going.

They finally got to Duke's house (Yup, he has a house. He bought one a year ago) and Duke fished a set of keys out of his pocket and put them in the lock and turned them. The door opened, and Duke walked inside, Dartz following after him. They walked into the kitchen where Duke made coffee for the both of them.

“So... You took care of me?” Duke asked, sitting down at the kitchen table across from Dartz.

“Yeah.. I have a thing for little woodland creatures.” Dartz said, blushing a bit at admitting that fact.

“Heh.” Duke laughed. “Wait.. You're the same guy that tried to summon that Leviathan thing three years ago, aren't you?”

Dartz drooped his head a bit, at the time he thought it would've been marvelous for Atlantis is rise again, but now, he felt guilty about the whole thing. “Yes...” Dartz said silently.

“So while you were making plans to summon a big ocean creature thing, you had time to take care of a chipmunk?” Duke asked amused.

“Yeah.” Dartz answered. He put his hand over his face, he still had a headache.

“Are you alright?” Duke asked.

“Yes, I'm fine. Just a headache..” Dartz answered. Duke got up from his seat and walked over to the counter, he grabbed a bottle of Aleve and shook a pill out of it and handed it to Dartz. “Thank you.” Dartz popped the pill in his mouth and took a sip of his coffee. The headache started to go away. (That's some strong Aleve!)

“Um.. If you don't mind my asking, why exactly did you erase my memories of you taking care of me?” Duke asked.

“I don't know..” Dartz answered. At the time, Dartz had thought it was so Duke wouldn't know where the Head Quarters was, or who Dartz was. Maybe it was because Dartz thought if Duke wouldn't be able to remember, he wouldn't be able to either.

“So.. That's where the clothes came from..” Duke said, more to himself then to Dartz.

“Huh?” Dartz said.

“I remember I was wearing a black button down sweater and a pair of jeans that I couldn't remember ever getting.” Duke explained. “You gave them to me... didn't you?”

Dartz looked at him astonished. Could Duke remember? Even just a little? “Yeah, I figured you would need something to cover yourself up with.” Dartz said.

“You know... The more time I'm with you, the more I put things together about what you told me.” Duke said, blushing. Duke started laughing a little, then some more, until Dartz started laughing. Then they were both laughing.

“But you know...” Duke started.

“Hmm?”

“Back three years ago, when Yugi, everyone else and I were trying to stop you from bringing back Atlantis, when I heard the name Dartz, I felt.. As if I knew that name from somewhere.” Duke said, scratching the back of his head. Dartz smiled, Duke could remember, if not all of it, little bits of it. He was happy he was talking to Duke, Duke was nice.

While Dartz was in his own thoughts, he never noticed that Duke was walking towards him. “Um.. Duke, I think you're getting a little too close.” Dartz said.

“Really? I don't think so!” Duke replied as he bent down to kiss Dartz on the lips. After about a moment or two, Duke pulled away.

“W-What was that?!” Dartz asked, as much as he hated to admit it, he was blushing a bit.

“It's called a kiss. Admit it, you liked it.” Duke said, smirking.

“Um.. Well I.. Uh..” Dartz couldn't get much out. Duke laughed and kissed Dartz again, this time though, Dartz kissed back.

Years later, Dartz and Duke got legally married, they both lived at Duke's house. (Although Dartz still kept Head Quarters) and had decided to make a clinic for injured woodland animals. Dungeon Dice Monsters became big around the world, so every once and awhile, Duke would travel to different parts of the world, while Dartz took care of injured animals. And they lived happily ever after.

^_^ Good? I thought so. Originally I wasn't going to make it Duke/Dartz, but my sister, she knew I was writing the story. She asked me if it was going to be a Duke/Dartz story, I told her I wasn't sure. And she suggested that's what it should be. I know the age difference is alot, but love is love, right? I know it wasn't as humorous as it's prequel, but then again, Dartz isn't exactly a humorous guy himself. (Not to say he's depressing either, like I made him out to be in the story.) Anyway, DISCY this was for you! I hope you liked it!
