Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Dartz's day off ❯ Dartz in Domino City ( Chapter 1 )
[ A - All Readers ]
Heya people! ^_^ This is my first one-shot fic. And, it being my first, I thought it should be about everyone's favorite blue-haired Yu-Gi-Oh villain, Dartz! I don't know the exact time-line is season five this is.. Hmm.. Some time near when he stayed behind with Rebecca and Arthur Hawkins.
Dartz was in his room, getting dressed for yet another day of trying to succeed in his plan of evilness. That is, until Allister ran in.
“Allister, what do you want? I'll be out soon enough. And why aren't you in your working clothes?” Dartz asked, inspecting Allister's clothes.
“What do you mean?! Every Saturday is the day we all do whatever we want! You know, a day off. You told Valon, Raphael, and I that last month!” Allister explained. Dartz turned his back to Allister for a moment, obviously, he couldn't remember this. “Dartz, you alright?” Allister asked.
“Oh yes, now I remember. Alright then.” Dartz said. He walked up to Allister and pushed him out of his room. “Next time you want to remind me of something, knock! I was getting dressed!” Dartz yelled while slamming his door shut.
“You had pants on!” Allister shouted back. Dartz came out a moment later. Allister looked at him wide-eyed, obviously he had never seen Dartz dressed as he currently was.
“What are you staring at?” Dartz asked, glaring at Allister.
“You uh.. Your wearing.. Eh.. You..” Allister couldn't get the words out, he didn't know Dartz owned wardrobe such as he was wearing. Dartz looked down at himself, he was wearing a black sleeveless tanktop, black leather pants, black wristbands, and a necklace with a cross on it. His hair was pulled back in his hair-tie near the very end, as usual.
“Is it my clothes?” Dartz asked. Allister gulped and nodded his head. Dartz just simply closed his eyes and smirked. “If you were surprised by my clothes, why not just say so instead of staring at me like an idiot.”
“Uh.. I'm gonna go now.” Allister said, and ran off.
“Kids..” Dartz said as he shook his head slowly. He started to walk to the doorway to go outside when Valon and Raphael stopped him.
“Where are ya going, Dartz?” Valon asked, smirking. He thought it was amusing to see Dartz in the clothes he was wearing.
“None of your business.” Dartz said as he walked out the door.
“... I don't think I've ever seen him dressed like that.” Raphael said to Valon.
“Yeah.. He looked kind of good though.” Valon said, looking at the space Dartz was at just a moment ago. Raphael just sighed and walked away.
Dartz didn't know how he got there, but he was now at Domino City. `... Why am I here?' He thought as he walked around. He had girls stare at him as he walked around, trying to find somewhere to go. `Why are these people staring at me...?' He crossed the street, almost getting hit by a car.
“HEY! Don't walk in the middle of the street at a green light!” The driver yelled angrily at Dartz.
“No one tells me what to do!” Dartz yelled back, and continued to walk.
Dartz had no idea Domino City was so big. He looked at a map that was tacked onto a fence. “Hmm.. Let's see. I'm near the Turtle Game shop..” Dartz looked at the shop, he smirked. `That must be where Yugi's Grandpa works. Hehehe.' Dartz looked at the map again. “Hmm.. There is a museum a couple miles from here.. Blah, museum. Who wants to look at cruddy pieces of art? An aquarium. Fishies!” Dartz shook his head quickly. `Did I just say fishies?' Dartz shuddered at the thought. He decided looking at the map might be hazardous to his sanity, so he continued to walk around.
A few hours later, Dartz was getting confused, not to mention hungry. He had forgotten to eat breakfast after he had gotten dressed. “Maybe the whole `day off' idea was a bad thing to suggest. I'm going to announce that there won't be anymore after today!” Dartz yelled to himself. It was only afternoon, but already he was wishing the day would end. He walked into the road, where once again, he was almost hit by a car.
“What the heck is your problem?! Are you trying to kill yourself?!” It was the same driver as before. Dartz looked at him, trying to glare. But all he could do was drool, as the driver had McDonalds food in his car. “Hey, are you alright?” The driver asked.
“You have food!” Dartz said.
“Er... Why don't you hop in the car? I'll let you have some of my food.” The driver said. Dartz did exactly as the driver said. He literally hopped in the car, almost banging his knee on the handle. (Dartz isn't exactly the smartest guy in the world when he's hungry.)
“Thank you.” Dartz said as the driver handed him a burger.
“It's nothing.” The driver said, waving a hand. “Anyway, I guess while you're in my car, I should introduce myself. I'm Duke Devlin.”
“I'm.... Dartz.” Dartz said, finishing his burger.
“...”
“What is wrong?” Dartz asked.
“Um.. It's just, me and some friends are looking for a guy named Dartz, that's all.” Duke said, handing Dartz a drink.
Dartz smirked. “Well if you and your friends are looking, what are you doing here in Domino City? With McDonalds, no less. Taking a scenic drive?”
Duke laughed at what Dartz had just said. “No, the truth is...”
“Yeah?”
“I missed playing a certain game at the arcade.”
Dartz nearly spat out the milkshake Duke had given him a minute or two ago. “What..?!”
“Heh, well uh.. It's kinda addictive. Not as addictive as a game I invented of course, but almost as appealing.” Duke answered.
“So... Is that where we're going then? To the game that you miss so much?” Dartz asked curiously.
Duke took his right hand off the steering wheel and pat Dartz on the back. “You catch on quick, Dartz!”
After a couple of minutes of talking. (And Dartz wondering if it was smart to accept a ride from Duke.) The two walked into an arcade, where Duke exchanged some money for tokens. He walked up to an empty stage which stood in front of a big screen.
Dartz walked behind Duke, looking at the stage. “Is this....?” He started.
Duke looked back at Dartz and smirked. “I take it you have played this before?”
“Are you kidding? I LOVE Dance Dance Revolution!” Dartz replied.
Duke grinned and handed Dartz some tokens. “Let's play it together then.”
The end!
Well, how did you all like it? Sorry if they are out of character. I really tried to keep them in character. Now, I know Dartz probably wouldn't dress up in what I put him in, but when I think of Dartz, and casual clothes, that comes in my mind, and as for the Dance Dance Revolution, I always liked the idea of Dartz playing it. Anyway, please review with your feelings on it. It would make me so happy to know what people think about this!
