Chapter 4

Sadly, Yumako and Mura were the only team members that showed up, and they were disqualified. "I cant believe those idiots! If I find them, oooo they will pay for this!" Mura was stomping around searching for her ex team mates. "Something must have happened though, they wouldnt have just left without saying anything!" Yumako caught up to her friend, placing a hand on her shoulder. Mura sighed, "Yea youre right...but still! They wont live to see tomorrow if they dont have a good excuse!" "Believe me, they have teh best excuse." Both girls spun around and found Jin there with a deathly glare. "What do you mean brother?" "I mean theyre all dead!" "WHAT?!" The girls yelled together, grabbing a hold of Jins shoulders and shaking him violently. "Whaddaya mean theyre dead?!"

 

 

Mura was starting to tear up, though her team mates werent the strongest, or the toughest, but they have heart, and they were all good friends. Always watching out for eachother in the ring, making sure no one got killed. And now, all of them, gone. Yumako was already rubbing her eyes, being consuled -sp?- by her brother. "Itll be alright therr Yumako, well find out who did tis duncha worry."

 

 

Yumako told Jin to tell her how he found out and Jin said "I went to go find them but..." he trailed off because he saw Yumako's eyes start glowing red. He and Mura tried to calm her down but it didn't work.

 

Just then she snapped and she ran towards the smell of her friends blood she found their bodies in the woods and they were surrounded by Jins team mates getting ready to go and bury -sp?- the bodies Chuu was just about to pick up the girls body and Yumako ran at him almost taking off his arm trying to keep Chuu away from her friends and her team mates. Chuu didn't know what was going on but he had seen this side of Yumako and he told the others to get away from the bodies.

 

 

"What do ya mean Chuu?" asked one of them "Just do it now! don't ask questions!" just as Yumako tried to hit them all but Chuu moved. By then Mura and Jin had arrived and the were trying to calm the crying half-deamon down but it didn't work. In another part of the forest Hiei and Kurama were talking and they felt Yumakos power and they ran towards where the power was comming from when they got there they were surprised at the scene they saw.

 

 

What they saw shocked them. It shocked Kurama most of all because he finally realized that he loved her. He finally realized what he had to do he slowly started to mave towards Yumako saying her name then as he got closer he started saying "Please Yumako calm down" Yumako stared at Kurama then she continued her ranting.

 

 

Kurama walked towards her again. Just as she was about to strike again Mura jumped in front of the blow stopping it from hitting Kurama but by then Yoko had come out and was walking towards her again.

 

 

"You need to calm down, rampaging will not bring them back." His voice echoed in her mind, over and over again until she finally collapsed, falling into Muras arms. She buried her head into her friends shoulder, taking in his words as well. They were gone, and weren't coming back. Hiei watched from afar, he wasn't

the type to comfort someone, he didn't really know how. Yoko took Yumako from Mura, and followed Jin back to the hotel. Chu and the rest followed suit, leaving Mura and Hiei alone. An awkward silence fell over them, until finally she spoke. "Im sorry Hiei, I dont usually cry infront of anyone, cept maybe Yumako..." she couldnt look him in the eyes as she trailed off. He wasnt sure what to do, so he helped her up, and carried her off. Nothing else was said as they just enjoyed eachothers company, words would only spoil the moment.

 

 

Jin was puzzled by what Yoko did because he had known Yoko since before Yoko had to reside in a humans child because he would have died if he didn't. But he didn't say any thing to Yoko so he decided to talk to Yumako when she wakes up. Later in her room after laying her down Yoko returned back to Kurama. Then Jin decided to ask "How do you know her?" "Well...." he stopped to think remembering what Yumako said about her brother and he didn't know if Jin knew her brother so he said "Yumako and her friend were messing around chasing eachother then Yumako ran well she fell down the hill and landed on me..." "Were you alone?" asked Jin. "Well no me and Hiei were down at the bottom talking and the next thing I know I was on the ground asking her to get off of me" replied Kurama. Jin thought for a minute then asked "Were you mean to her?" O-Of course not I could never talk to a girl like that! I'm NOT Hiei!" replied Kurama. "I heard that fox!" said Hiei walking in thru the window from the balcony -sp?- with Mura right behind him.

 

 

Kurama sweat dropped as Mura took a seat by the bed and Hiei on the window sill, both glaring. "How is she?" Mura's voice was still shaky. "She's doing better, I gave her some medicine that'll give her some rest." Kurama moved some stray strands of hair from her face, never taking his eyes off her sleeping form. Jin curiously watched his movements before slapping Kurama in the back of the head. "Doncha be gettin any ideas bout meh sista ya hear?!" "Jin!" Yumako sat up quickly and smacked her brother before anyone could notice. Mura sighed and gently hit Yumako in the head, "Hes only worried about you baka." Glaring death at the one who hit her, Yumako took Kuramas hands and looked him in the eyes. "Kurama are you ok, my dimwit brother didn't hurt you did he?" Kurama Looked back at Jin then back at Yumako. 'Good' he thought 'I'm glad that I didn't tell him the rest of the story!' Then he said "This is the brother you were talking about?" "Yeah" she replied.
