Chapter 1
A nice summer breeze escaped through the air into the door of the Moto residence, as Solomon opened the door.
Ò Hm...Ó Solomon sighed. He took out his broom and he continued to sweep the stoop as he did every afternoon.
ÒJoseph!Ó Solomon yelled angrily. Joey slowly poked his head out of the window with an irritated look.
Ò I told ya not to call me that Gramps!Ó Joey complained with a slight blush.
ÒWhy Joseph?Ó TeaÕs voice taunted inside. JoeyÕs eyes narrowed as a sudden grin appeared on his face.
Ò GrrÉ Gramps IÕll be right out! I just need to doÉ something.Ó Joey cackled as he rubbed his hands together greedily.
Ò Run Tea, run!Ó Yugi laughed. Joey turned around quickly and climbed up onto the purple couch with an overpowering feel as he hovered over Tea.
ÒOh no!Ó Tea shrieked. Joey got ready to catched her but he suddenly lost his balance and tripped over the couchÕs headrest. As he tried to balance himself, he put his hand on an antique chest that went down with him.
Crash! An expensive glass egyptian jar fell to the ground and shattered, the tiny glass pieces scattered everywhere. Tea jumped out of the way quickly so that Joey fell right on the wooden floor, face first.
Ò Joey! I can see why YugiÕs Grandpa doesnÕt like you that much!Ó Tristin guffawed.
Ò Joseph! What was that sound? I thought you were going to assemble a good deck out of the new cards that are being made, and what was that sound!?!?!?Ó YugiÕs grandpa roared.
Ò Grampa, he just destroyed your chest and your antique jar!Ó Yugi yelled back to Grandpa, trying to hold in his amusement.
ÒWhat!!!!!!!Ó Solomon bellowed furiously.
ÒYug! What was dat for!Ó Joey shouted irritably.
ÒJoseph, that is a priceless antique and I want you to go downstairs.! Yugi, get the glue. Joseph, I want you to do the same as Yugi did when he first got his puzzle.Ó Solomon calmly breathed with a sign of dissapointment. Joey stopped every movement and slowly looked out the window with wide eyes.
Ò YouÉm..mÉmean dÉdat ÉI ÉgÉgotÉgottaÉput it back tÉtogeta?Ó Joey studdered looking at the thousand of pieces.
ÒPerciselyÉÓ Solomon smiled as he put away the broom in the hall closet. JoeyÕs left eye started to twitch.
ÒHereÉ let me helpÉÓ Tea snickered as she dragged Joey down the steps.
Ò HeÕll find the rest of his way!Ó Tea sarcastically joked.
ÒYugi, IÕm restocking the new cards in the shop today, IÕll be back.Ó Grandpa told Yugi while putting his coat on, ÒMeantime help poor Joseph, I think heÕs petrfied.Ó
ÒIs it okay if we go out for dinner?Ó Yugi asked his grandfather, and with a small nod, Solomon left the house and closed the door behind him.
ÒI canÕt get this thing!Ó Joey sulked desparately, as soon as he tried to put tons of pieces and everything collapsed on the table again.
Ò ItÕs youÕre fault buddyÓ Tristin informed Joey with a smile.
ÒIÕve been doinÕ it for an hour and havenÕt put two pieces togeta!Ó Joey cried. The doorbell suddenly rang.
Ò IÕll get it.Ó Yugi sighed, as he leaned away from the table and got up from a wooden chair. He was sick of looking at the broken pieces of the pot. Yugi graoned and opened the door. It was Ryou. Ryou had an air of urgency surrounding him and his white hair matted by water. Yugi looked outside and saw that it wasnÕt raining.
Ò Yugi! ItÕs good to see you. Is everyone else here?Ó Ryou asked as his light blue eyes darted around the room nervously.
ÒYes?Ó Yugi answered confusedly.
Ò Good.Ó Ryou jumped with a small panicky grin.
Ò What happened?Ó Yugi wondered.
Ò I canÕt tell you right now. Get everyone I must show you all something imedietly!Ó Ryou urged.
Ò Sorry, itÕll haveta wait. We have a little problemÉÓ Yugi complained with a small chuckle. Yugi took RyouÕs arm and brought him downstairs to show him the problem.
ÒHelp me!Ó Joey whined with his head in his hands. Ryou suddenly beamed excitedly
ÒThis is all?Ó Ryou cheered happily. Ò Watch this!Ó Ryou closed his eyes and held out his hands for the millenium ring to form. With that, he brought his hands over all the pieces and after his hand moved over each one, the pieces began to glow and float to slowly form the broken pot and without any cracks
Ò ThatÕs so cool!Ó Tea squealed excitedly.
Ò I havenÕt seen you for a long timeÉ that was because all winter I took a trip to Egypt with my father and I spent lots of time researching the items. Now I have more control over the ringÕs powers.Ó Ryou explained.
Ò I wish I had a millenium item!Ó Joey sighed as he rested his head on his hands. He jumped and laid back on the couch all worn out, with his eyes closed.
Ò Guys lets go!Ó Ryou implored, Ò I must show you all something!Ó Ryou started to walk up the stairs. Joey opened his right eye and looked at Ryou and Yugi, who were both staring at him to get up.
Ò CÔmon! You must be kidding!Ó Joey grumbled. Everyone stared at Joey, Tea with her hands on her hips.
Ò I get the picture guys. Fine! IÕll go.Ó Joey moaned.
ÒThatÕs it!Ó Ryou exclaimed pointing up at a building. It was Crystal blue with swirling colors making it seem to have an element of plasticity.
ÒWeird. IÕve never seen that building before!Ó Yugi shouted.
Ò I donÕt see anything!Ó Tea whined while pouting.
Ò Same here.Ó Tristin groaned.
Ò Yeah! There isnÕt anything. What are you guys talking about?Ó Joey protested.
Ò HmmÉ it must be our millenium itemsÉÓ Ryou assumed. His eyes were transfixed on the swirls.
Ò Fine go guys, but bring us back souveneirs!Ó Tea cheered.
Ò Right. Yugi come with me.Ó Ryou nodded. Ryou closed his eyes and the millenium ring started to pull Ryou closer to the building Yugi raced after.
Ò UmÉ what do we do?Ó Tristin wondered aloud.
Ò I have something to do while IÕm outÉÓ Joey stated, looking as if he just remebered something. He waved goodbye and raced off. After Joey was out of sight, Tea heard her stomach growl.
Ò IÕm hungryÉÓ Tea nagged.
Ò Me tooÉ Hey Tea, lets get dinner! WeÕll bring some back for the guys.Ó Tristin offered.
Ò Why not?Ó Tea sighed as she ran after the enthusiastic Tristan,
Ryou heaved open a heavy, black metal door. Once the door was opened, Yugi stepped into the room first. The room was a neon green and there was a black tunnel in the center of the room leading to the next door. Yugi cautiously walked forward and when he stepped into the black tunnel it filled with water. Miraculously though, the water didnÕt escape from where the black tunnel ended and started. Yugi inside it, tried to swim around, but the water wouldnÕt allow him push through, creating almost like an invisible barrier. Yugi desperately struggled to get free, and then he started to get wozy, and ot able to swim any longer. He accidentally gasped, the water filling his lungs.
IÕm running out of breath, how much longer can I stay in this!
ÒYugi! Use your puzzle! Quickly!Ó Ryou advised. It was too late, Yugi was floating in the water, unconsious. Suddenly the door on the opposite side of the tunnel swung open. A tall lady stood there, her deep red lips pursed in a curious smile. Her long black cape flowed over her short red dress. Her hair was long, thick, black and dead straight that contrasted with her very pale skin. Her golden brown eyes wavered slowlyand she pulled out a long, leather brown whip. It glowed, leaving a shimmering light to surround it and allowed the suspended water fall to the ground. YugiÕs limp body fell to the ground, no movement came from his tiny body.
Ò Who are you?Ó Ryou questioned suspiciously.
Ò My true name is Rali Mishitowa, but IÕm know as Raven,Ó the lady replied whisfully.
