The Punishment
==================

"Ah! Fuck! Damn it!" Mokuba screeched from inside Seto's bathroom the next morning.

Seto turned over in bed and got up, rubbing his eyes. "Mokuba? What's going on?" He walked to the bathroom.

Mokuba was trying to clean the gash on the inside of his thigh. "It hurts Seto!" Mokuba whined.

Seto went to the medicine cabinet and got a pad and some tape to put on it. "Give me your leg." He instructed.

Mokuba sat down on the side of the tub and parted his legs. Seto bent down on one knee to clean the gauge and put the wad on top of it. Mokuba's face distorted in discomfort as Seto cleaned him up.

"There," Seto said. "Now just watch yourself."

Mokuba smiled, and then grabbed Seto's face and quickly kissed him, devouring the taste of the immaculate depths of his mouth. Seto surprisingly didn't hold back, but he didn't lean into it either. He just knelt there, letting his brother explore his mouth with his tongue. Mokuba pulled back once he was satisfied.

Seto looked into Mokuba's grey orbs for a few seconds, finding his voice again. "Mokuba, I want to send you somewhere for a few weeks to get your head clear." Seto said firmly.

Mokuba looked at him innocently. "What do you mean?"

Seto stood up. "I found a place on the internet which is known worldwide for its facilities. It's in the Philippines, just outside of Manila. It's for teenagers who have had abuse, molestation, drug or alcohol problems."

Mokuba looked at him as if he had gone dotty. "You want to send me to the Philippines just because I smoked some pot?!" He shrieked.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't I also hear you say that you think you're in love with me?" Seto crossed his arms.

Mokuba took great interest in the tiled bathroom floor. "I guess you're right…but how long will I have to go for?"

"Two weeks. Hopefully your head will be a bit straighter by then." Seto marched out of the bathroom and went back into his bedroom to pick up the phone…

Four Days Later -

Kaiba's POV…

Sending Mokuba to the Philippines was probably the hardest thing I had ever had to do. But it was for the best. I didn't want my little brother, the one who I treasured most, to become a low-life loser in the likes of Bakura or Malik. As for the whole thing about him being gay, it didn't bother me. I mean, I wasn't exactly the best role model for him while he was growing up… he had walked in on Jounouchi and I quite a few times.

Mokuba sat slouched down in his chair staring blankly out the window of the airport lounge. The boarding call for his flight to Manila would be soon. I had been waiting with him for the past two hours, though it became rather a drag after a while.

Mokuba's POV…

"Flight B8U662 to Manila, Philippines, now boarding."

"I guess that's your cue, little bro." My love said.

Desperate for changing,
Starving for truth,
Closer where I Started,
Chasing after you…

I got up and grabbed my bag. Seto walked beside me down the corridor to the airport personnel where I handed my ticket over. I was about to board an aeroplane to a destination of nightmares.

I'm falling even more in love with you,
Letting go of all I've held onto.
I'm standing here until you make me move,
I'm hanging by a moment here with you…

"Seto… please don't make me go…" I knew it was useless asking, but you'd never know until you tried.

My brother put a hand on my shoulder. "Mokuba, we've come this far. You can't back out now, little brother."

I nodded in despair and looked toward the ground. "Guess I'll be going then…"

Forgetting all I'm lacking,
Completely incomplete.
I'll take your invitation,
You take all of me…

"I'll ring you whenever I can, Mokuba. Good luck, and I'll see you home soon." He hugged me tightly before bidding me goodbye.

"I love you, Seto." I croaked out, tears forming on the edges.

"And I you, Mokuba. Go on now." My brother's voice cracked, but he quickly cleared it.

I'm falling even more in love with you!
Letting go of all I've held onto!
I'm standing here until you make me move…
I'm hanging by a moment here with you…
I'm living for the only thing I know!
I'm running and not quite sure where to go,
I don't know what I'm diving into…
Just hanging by a moment here with you…

I turned and headed down the aisle to find my seat on the plane. The jet was filled with a lot of people - something I wasn't used to. Seto's private jet was a lot nicer than this one, and probably a lot faster too…

There's nothing else to lose…
Nothing left to find…
There's nothing in the world,
That could change my mind!
There is nothing else…
There is nothing else...

I wished he would understand. No matter how hard these people try to brainwash me, my feelings towards Seto will never change. True, he is my brother, but why can't brothers be lovers too? It's just not fair… stupid law, stupid government, stupid politics…

I never thought Seto would react this harshly to something I had done. I mean, sure, my head's messed up in all the wrong sorts of ways, and I do drugs occasionally, but couldn't he just punish me? I guess he has a reason to do this - I am his little brother after all.

I arrived in Manila after about a three hour flight. It sure was hot in this place, a lot hotter than Domino at least. At least I could work on my tan while I was here. I gathered my luggage from the airport conveyer belt and took out a piece of paper in my pocket. It had the address of the rehab centre on it.

I couldn't believe how many millions of taxi cabs there were in this city. It was almost as crazy as Tokyo here. I waved down a cab and got in, pointed to the address on the paper and drove off. It took about half an hour to get there. I was missing Seto already. God I needed to grow up.

"Here we go son."

"Thanks." I paid the driver and got out.

The centre was right next to the beach and it was two stories high. It was on the far-west side of the city, near the beach at Manila Bay. This place was tropical, I decided. The sky was crystal clear and a flock of white birds flew across the vast expanse. At least this place was prettier than Domino, and a lot hotter.

I walked up the steps and through the doors. A young Filipino woman was sitting behind the desk typing away frantically on a computer. She reminded me somewhat of Seto's secretary at KaibaCorp, Sakura. This girl was prettier than Sakura though. I went up to the front desk and she looked up at me.

"Can I help you?" Her English was perfect.

"Yeah… I'm here for two weeks. This is a rehabilitation centre, right?"

"Oh yes of course it is! What is your name son?" She asked.

"Mokuba Kaiba."

She typed away quickly and read the screen for a second. "Ah yes… you are here for drug rehab, correct?"

I stayed silent for a minute, processing the words in my head.

"Mokuba?"

"Yeah, that's right."

"Okay, I'll just get you to fill in this form quickly and then I'll take you through to meet all the others." She handed me a slip of light blue paper and a pen. I sat down at a nearby table and filled it in. By the time I had finished, this is what it read:

Name: Mokuba Kaiba
Sex: Male
Age: 15
Home Country: Japan
What are you here for? (Please tick one): Drugs
What type of drugs do you do/have done?: Marijuana and heroine. (Seto didn't know about the last one)
Please state any other reasons: I have psychological issues… apparently.
How long are you staying at Manila Bay Rehab Centre?: Two weeks
Home contact number: 591-6632 or 785-9681

"I'm done." I said, handing her back the slip of paper.

"Alright. I'll just type your information up into the computer and Yasmine here will take you through customs and then to your hostel room." She smiled sweetly at me before frantically typing away again. Another girl, if not prettier, came through and asked me to follow her.

We came to what looked like an airport customary station. It had a conveyer belt and x-ray machine just like they do at airports. I couldn't imagine what they would want to do this for. The sounder quickly went off and they zipped open my bag.

"Hey what do you think you're doing?!" I cried.

"The alarm went off, indicating there is something inappropriate in your bag while you are staying here." A man said. He began to rummage through everything, and pulled out a glass bottle of coke. Yasmine looked at me.

"What?" I asked firmly. "It's a bottle of coke! So fucking what?"

"I'm afraid we cannot permit having glass in your possession, Mokuba. It is classed as a dangerous object."

I rolled my eyes. "What do you think I'd do with it? Cut my wrists or something?"

Yasmine gestured for the man to discard the bottle. I folded my arms, clearly not impressed. What's the bet they don't have coke in this country? Next they pulled out my cell phone.

"Oh no, you are NOT taking that!" I shrieked.

"Mokuba, there is a payphone downstairs in the main hall if you want to make phone calls. We cannot allow our patients here to have any contact outside the centre besides using that phone."

I muttered something and let them continue scrounging around through my private things. Great, just GREAT. Now Seto won't be able to call me tonight. He probably doesn't even know the phone number to this wretched place.

"That will be all." Yasmine said. She zipped my bag back up and handed it to me. She continued on through the hall. I followed behind.

We went up a flight of stairs and came to a long hallway. She unlocked a door and handed me a key to it. "This is your room, Mokuba. Your roommate should already be in here, he will show you around the centre." Without another word, she left.

I stood in the doorway, blank and angered. This was definitely the last place I wanted to be right now. I huffed a sigh and walked in, finding a bunk bed, the top one already occupied.

I advanced on the bottom bunk and threw my stuff onto the end of the bed and lay down. The flight over to the Philippines had been boring as hell, and made me sleepy. Now was a good time to catch up on it. Just as I was drifting off, a voice startled me.

"What are you in here for?"

I wasn't in the mood for socializing, but I guess I had better learn to like this kid. After all, I was stuck with him for the next fortnight. "Drugs. How about you?"

"Same here. They have different sections of the centre here. This section is for drug abused patients, the one over from us is for sexually abused kids."

"Really?" I frowned.

"Really." he stuck his head down to examine me from above. I gasped as I saw what he looked like - this boy was HOT! His hair was styled almost identically to that of Ryou's except it was baby-blue on top and white underneath. His eyes and skin colour were the same as Malik and Marik's. "What's your name?" He asked.

"M-Mokuba." I managed to stammer out.

"My name is Meison…" He looked at me strangely, uncomfortably.

"What?" I asked.

"Aren't you Seto Kaiba's younger brother? The richest teenager in the entire world?"

"Yeah." I said, all too briefly.

"Wow!" He cried and did an impressive somersault off his bed. He joined me on the bottom. "I can't believe it! I've read so much about you both! Man… you must be the luckiest person on Earth…"

I snorted. "Believe what you will, but you have no idea."

"I will if you could tell me."

"Actually I'd rather not. One, because I hardly know you and two, I need to go to the bathroom, so if you don't mind showing me, then that would be great." I said. I wish I hadn't been so harsh.

He raised an eyebrow. "Fine, follow me."

As he got up, I inspected every inch of him with my eyes. His shoulders were broad, his butt was tight and his overall physique was to die for. His structure was similar to Seto's even. But he wasn't quite so tall. He wore a pair of knee-length blue board shorts and a plain white t-shirt.

"Here," He said. I caught a closer glimpse of his radiant purple eyes. "Third one down is out of order." He mentioned before stalking off again.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Don't mention it."

I wish I hadn't come across as such an asshole. I was getting more and more like Seto by the day. Meison seemed like a nice guy, he kind of reminded me of Jounouchi a little, just not nearly as cocky. Plus he didn't have the annoying accent that grated into you like an orange peeler. Damn Mokuba, lighten up. This place isn't THAT excruciating… at least your roommate isn't that bad. Hell, he's not bad at all! I gotta get to know this guy… and try to be nice. Maybe tomorrow… but I guess there's no time like the present I argued with myself.

"Meison?" I asked as I got back to my hostel room.

"What is it?" He looked up from his magazine from the top bunk.

"Uh, I don't mean to bother you but, you could you show me where the phone is around here? They took mine off of me." I said, trying not to get agitated with myself.

A smile formed on his face. "They took mine too. Come on I'll show you."

I followed him down to a large hall, which was empty for the time being. I guessed it would be crowded with "patients" by tomorrow morning though. Meison pointed to an orange phone mounted on the wall. I put in some coins and dialed the number to the mansion.

"Thanks Meison."

"It's alright. Can you find your way back?"

I nodded. "Yeah." Seto picked up.

[Hello?]

"SETO!" I cried. I saw Meison turn around as I shouted my brother's name into the phone, making it echo through the hall. He grinned and disappeared up the stairwell and out of sight.

[Mokuba? Is that you?]

"It's me alright Seto! Damn I miss you… this place is a rut…"

He snickered. [Get used to it kid, I want to see you back here a new man.]

"Yeah…" I lied. "I miss you…" I whimpered.

[Yeah, me too. It's going to be lonely without you here in the house.]

"I know. Listen, they took my cell phone off of me. This pay phone is the only communication I have with the outside world here. I hope they let me send emails."

[I guess you'll have to live without it for a few weeks.]

"I know. Hey, I'm gonna run out of coin any minute now, so I'd better go."

[Alright, take care little brother.]

"I will. Goodnight Seto."

[Goodnight, love you.]

"You too, Seto. You too."

I hung up the phone and wiped away a sly tear from the corner of my eye before going back up to my hostel again. Just hearing his voice would haunt my dreams tonight. Boy was I tired. I went up to my room and found Meison already asleep. I crashed onto my pillow and fell asleep, preparing for the hell-raising day which awaited me tomorrow.
