*blah*=Marik's thoughts to Malik

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Marik vs. the Shrink *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Where are we going?" Marik grumbled, sleepily, his sister had woken him up way too early.

"Out," Isis said vaguely, now this should have been the point where Marik got suspicious, but he was still not officially awake, so he merely mumbled an incoherent Egyptian phrase.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"How may I help you," the receptionist asked brightly.

"We have an appointment with the psychiatrist," Isis replied.

"Oh, in that case…" she said, typing their name into the database, "…you can go right in."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

They entered the room of Doctor Anita Tralinski, and took a seat, Anita, who sat at her desk, looked up at her newest clientele.

`Hmmm…' Anita thought, `the woman is possibly his older sister, she sure is dressed weird.'

"Doctor, we're, well actually I'm here about my brother, Marik, he needs help."

"Well," Anita said crisply, "that's what I'm paid for. Now, if I could just talk to you for a little."

Isis looked distressed, "I don't think that is such a good idea, my brother, he's pretty hard to handle. He could just sit in the corner."

"I can assure you," Anita said stiffly, "my receptionists are fully adept to handling anyone who comes through these doors."

"All right, I guess so," Isis said hesitantly.

"Good," the doctor smiled, and asked Marik to wait outside for a while.

"Whatever," he muttered making his way through the door and back out into the lobby. He sat down in a chair beside a little kid who was eating teddy grahams. The little boy, smiled up at him, offering him one. Marik ignored him.

"D'want one," the little kid said.

"No thanks," Marik muttered, trying to read a magazine on Ancient Egypt.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Miss…Ishtar is it? What seems to be the problem?"

"Oh, it's not me, it's my brother, he's the insane one," Isis said swiftly.

"Please, we don't use that word within these walls."

"What? Insane?"

"Yes," Anita fairly hissed. Then she regained her composure, and said, "So what types of behavior does your brother exhibit, that led you to draw that conclusion?"

"Oh, everything…first off he has a Yami…"

"Yami?" Anita frowned, while scribbling notes.

"It's a spirit that lives in his Millennium Rod and it looks like him, only darker."

Anita lifted a heavily penciled eyebrow at this statement, and stopped writing rapidly, to ask what exactly this `Millennium Rod' did.

"Oh, it controls people."

"And why is it called a Millennium Rod?"

"It was made in Ancient Egypt, and Marik was given it."

"By whom?"

"This man, Shadi."

"OK and you say he control's people with it?"

"Yes, but he had it melted down, so the spirit wouldn't bother him, and try to steal his body again."

"Steal his body?"

"Yes, the spirit wanted his body, and then to control the world. This spirit is very dangerous, he is totally insane. He likes blood, and killing people."

"Um…Yeah, I think I'll see your brother now."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Isis opened the door, and saw through the window a group of girls in a circle around someone, talking excitedly. `What the hell?' She thought to herself.

"Oh, isn't he cute," she could hear one girl say.

"He's totally dreamy!" Another sighed.

"I wish my boyfriend was that hot!"

"He's like super model hot!!"

"Totally."

"So, what's your name again?" She recognized the voice.

"Marik!" She said, pushing through the circle. "Marik, get your butt over here right now!" She ordered.

"Damn," one of the girls said, "he's already taken."

"What's he going out with her for, she's not even pretty."

Marik wrinkled his nose at his sister, which drew more sighs from the girls, and walked over to her, giving them a good view of his ass.

"Oh my gosh, that's the hottest ass I've ever seen," one of the girls squealed.

"It's so tight." Her friend said.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"What?" Marik asked the doctor rudely.

"I just want to talk to you is all," the woman said, not bothering to look up.

Marik just stood there.

"Take a seat," the woman said.

"What if I don't want to?"

"I just want to talk."

He lowered himself into a chair, and watched her suspiciously.

"OK, you're sister says that you have a spirit, who occupies an item that was given to you by a man named Shadi," Anita said, reading back snippets of her notes.

"Sounds about right."

"OK, so…This `Yami' of yours, can I see him, or is he not able to be seen by others??

Marik glared at her, "I'm not insane, of course you can see him, but he might not want to come out."

"Well, will you ask him?"

"Fine…"

Marik contacted the spirit…

~I heard the whole conversation. ~

*So, will you come out*

~Of course, this lady is threatening to write you down as unstable, no one does that to my hikari~

For some reason, this made Marik shiver. His yami, he was being nice to him, there was something up.

Malik appeared beside him, the woman stared at him, her eyes widened as she saw two identical or almost identical figures standing next to each other. She rubbed her eyes, and looked again, still there.

`I really shouldn't work such long hours,' she thought to herself.

"What's wrong bitch?" Malik asked, his voice low and dangerous.

`Oh my gosh, the apparition just spoke!!' Anita thought to herself.

She fainted.

"This is dull, I'm leaving this dump!" Marik said.

Malik disappeared back into the Millennium Rod necklace. Marik went to grab his sister who was reading a magazine entitled, "How to Deal with the Insane Loved One'.

"Come on, we're leaving." Marik said.

"Well, what did she say?"

"That we were both perfectly normal, and that you shouldn't worry so much!"

"Well, she's the expert." Isis said, hesitantly.

LusciousDragon: I had a lot of ideas that I was going to use in this chapter that I didn't, here they are….

Ideas that Didn't Fly

Scene where Marik is next to Teddy Graham boy, the kid was going to offer a Teddy Graham to Bakura, who would just be there, and Bakura was going to say, "I will take your soul, and that Teddy Graham." Or merely, "I will steal your soul" and the boy was going to run away, screaming for his mommy.

Marik was going to be screaming about the inaccuracies made in the magazine about Ancient Egypt.

Scene where he is surrounded by the girls, he was going to be feeling up or making out with one of them.

Scene with Marik and the Shrink, they were going to have sex, and be caught by Isis, who would have heard the noises they were making

Marik was going to feel up the shrink, make out with her, finger her, but NOT have sex…They would have been heard by Isis before they actually had sex

Malik was to come out and have sex with the shrink…While poor Marik had to watch and be scared…

When she fainted, Malik would have taken advantage of her, (advantage=rape/sex).

I didn't add these things because, mainly, they would have been strange, unnecessary, made the story branch out in a different direction, or have made Marik and or Malik look like players who only thought about how to get some ass, which would actually have been very funny, but that's beside the point…

Final Notes written by the Shrink before she fainted…

-Girl/sister…delusional

-Boy/brother…psychopathic maniac…possibly a threat to society.

CLEARING UP CONFUSION: Ok, basically, the whole deal with the Millennium Rod thing is that Marik was afraid that something like what happened at Battle City might occur again, so he had the Millennium Rod melted down, and made into a miniature version of the item, to serve as a reminder to himself. He thought that this would get rid of the spirit, (he couldn't get rid of the item, `cause like on the show, where in Duelist Kingdom, Tristan hurls the Millennium Ring into the forest, and it just comes back on Bakura's neck. Marik knew that the item would just return to him.) but it didn't, and although the item had been melted down, and reshaped, it still held the spirit. Also, the spirit holds his own Millennium Rod, which isn't melted down. Marik doesn't know it, but both parties must want to get rid of the item for it to be destroyed and for the magical powers to leave it. In the willful destruction of the item, the wearer would be set free, but the spirit would pass on, and never have a chance to have it's own body again. And seeing as how Malik doesn't want to leave anytime soon, the successful destruction of the Millennium Rod is beyond slim to none. So that's the story…..By the Way…Everything stated above, the stuff about Marik melting down his Rod, how to destruct the Millennium items, and the like, are all MY OWN IDEAS…This does NOT happen in later episodes of the TV series…This may seem obvious to some, but I have gotten a number of e-mails about it, so I figured I'd clear it up now…
