Ok this is a song from the 80’s. Granted when this song came out I was just a kid but I love this song and just about anything from this singer. I hope you like it and as always please send a review.

A young man was laying his bed. It was in the early dawn hours and when he should be a sleep, he was not. He could not. Every time he closed his eyes he would think about a time when he was happy. When he was in love and that love was returned. When broken hearts and broken dream were not real.“I wish I could back to that time.” The young man said as he closed his eyes again and pictured another young man’s face. “Atemu.” he said softly.
The young man that was lying in the bed looked to be about twelve but he was really sixteen. He had young looking face with large amethyst eyes. He also had hair the color of midnight with the tips the color of blood. It stood up in spikes around his head and looked much like a star. He also had blond bangs that framed his face. He was also short for his age, only about 4’9”. His name was Yugi Mouto.
Yugi was normally a happy go lucky kid with a bright out look on life but now he was lying in his bed curled up with his eyes closed, the tears falling again.
Yugi was thinking about a mistake he had made months ago and what his life was before hand.
Before he had been a very happy teen. He had found his true love. His love had to be his true love. He was never as happy when he was with him.
True his love was a bit older then him, twenty years old. He also looked like Yugi but had a few differences. One he had the same hair style and color but had blond lighting blots going up throw his hair where as Yugi did not. His eyes were smaller and more narrowed and the color crimson. He also had a darker skin color because he was from Egypt and was taller then Yugi by at lest 5”. His name was Yami Atemu but Yugi loved his last name and always called him that, Atemu.
For a while, they were happy together. Atemu treated Yugi like a prince and was very sweet with him. For Yugi, Atemu was prefect. “It was prefect then I messed up.” Yugi said with a sigh as he curled more into himself.
But now is a new timeThere is a new placeWhere dreams just can't come true.It started the day when I left you
It all came to an end way to soon. It’s a new time and place now for Yugi. “I made a mistake,” Yugi said with a choked sob. “A huge mistake the day I left you.”

As Yugi lay there, he realized he could never love anyone as he loved his love. “Nor will I ever cry like I did when I left you, Atemu. Saying goodbye and seeing the hurt in your eyes….a huge mistake.” Yugi cried.

“It’s to late now.” Yugi then said as he remember how just a few days ago he had ran into Atemu and when he try to explain how it was a mistake he learned he had no change to get him back.
“He said he has moved on, found someone new.” Yugi said as he open his eyes and sat up. Turning on the light, Yugi looked to the picture next to his lamp. It was a picture of him and Atemu.
“He told me to move on as well but how can I when I’m still in love with him?” Yugi asked himself as he reached and pick up the picture. “There was no reason for dumping him. None.” Yugi said as he just closed his eyes again.

Yugi then open his eyes, put the picture down, got up and got dress. “I need to see him. I need to show how much I love. I can never love another like him. I know I could never.” Yugi said.It was now going on eight in the morning. Yugi had been up all night crying and got no sleep.
It didn’t take long for Yugi to find Atemu; he had stopped a local café for a cup of coffee before heading into work.
Yugi waited until Atemu came out. “Atemu…” Yugi called softly as he looked down as Atemu turned and looked at him. “Yugi?” he called back just as softly.
Oh, can't you see I'm not fooling nobodyDon't you see the tears are falling down my faceSince you went awayBreak my heart, you slipped awayDidn't know I was wrongNever meant to hurt you now you're gone
Yugi looked up as a few more tears started to fall. “I can’t move on Atemu. I’m not fooling anyone and I’m up all night crying over you.”
Atemu just watched and was about to say something when Yugi went on. “Since I let you slip away and break my heart. I know I was wrong then Atemu. So wrong. I know that I hurt you and I didn’t mean to. Atemu can’t you see how much I love you?”
Atemu just sighed as he shook his head. “Yugi, I love you too but not as much as I use to. I have moved on and found someone new. I’m with that person…” but before he could finish his phone rang. “Hello…” Atemu said answering it. “Yes love, I’ll pick up some up for the baby…..”

When Yugi heard the word baby, he just walked away. He knew now that he lost Atemu, his true love, forever.
It was now hours later and Yugi was standing in front of the river. It was the same river that him and Atemu had a date and came here. They both loved it and promise each other to come back some day.
“It seems as if I’m the only one that remembers that promise Atemu.” Yugi said knowing that all this was his fault. “I’m sorry Atemu.” Yugi said as he started to take his first steps of his life.
Yugi could never love again now that he would never have Atemu so Yugi figured he had no reason to live. “I love you Atemu.” were Yugi’s last words before going under the water to never surface again alive.
