Marik grinned as he stared at Bakura. The other was glaring at him from across the room. Well it wasn't his fault. He had told Bakura that he had to work that day. Yes Marik worked. It was hard to believe, even Isis hadn't believed him at first, but he had. Though it was at a store called Spencer's. The store had come over from America and offered the same products there as it did back in America. Of course Marik would get a job like that, selling derogatory products to others. It was his specialty after all.

Once the customer paid and left, Marik walked from around the counter and went in search of Bakura. It didn't take long to find the albino in the back, looking over the various sex toys and games on the shelves.

"Picking something out for Ryou?" he asked with a grin. When he received a glare from the other he let out a sigh. "Are you going to talk about it?" he asked. There was silence for a long while. Marik knew Bakura was stewing in his feelings and that downpour was eminent.

"That fucking little bitch!"

And just like that Bakura unleashed his pent up feelings. He stared at the other with interest as he continued on, not phased at all by the shouting or flailing arms. One wouldn't think, but Bakura was a very animated talker when he was worked up about something.

"I took care of him! Protected him and this is how he repays me?!"

"Well he did catch you with Yami." Marik pointed out.

"Shut up Marik." Bakura snapped as he crossed his arms, glaring at the long line of vibrators. "I try to set things right, but he always misunderstood what I meant!"

"You do have a way of saying things that can get misconstrued." Marik spoke, nodding his head. Bakura stated at him in shock, whether it be because Marik was agreeing with Ryou's reasoning or because he used a complex word that his tiny brain couldn't possible understand wasn't quite clear but he was shocked none the less.

"And then he goes and smacks me and kicks me out! What right does he have to do that?!"

"You do have a slap able face." Marik said with a grin. Once more Bakura stared at the other in shock.

"Are you with me or against me here?" he asked.

Marik blinked, staring at his slightly shorter friend and laughed. "Hey! Don't get hostile, I'm just saying." he said with a shrug. He turned and headed back up to the front, Bakura following after him.

"You know something though." Marik said as he rounded the counter and smirked at Bakura.

"I know many things. It's you who doesn't know anything." Bakura retorted. Marik rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"So cranky. I'm gonna give you some if Isis's Midol." he commented before carting on. "You shouldn't be upset with Ryou. He was acting out his emotions. He loves you and caught you with another." he said. "The person you should be mad at is the one who caused all this."

Bakura listened to the Egyptian. And he dawned on humans he leaned forward. "The Pharaoh." he whispered.

"Exactly." Marik said and grinned. "It's his entire fault. If he wasn't such a whore, you wouldn't have gotten caught."

"Yeah, and?" Bakura asked.

"We’ll get even with him for ruining everything between you and Ryou." Marik said.

"Yeah and how do I do that?" Bakura asked. "He's already ruined his relationship with Yuugi not much more I can do. He already knows I want nothing to do with him as well." the Yami spoke and sighed. Bakura rested his head on the glass countertop and closed his eyes.

"Damn." Marik said as he watched his friend. He had never seen Bakura act this way. It was very scary, yet endearing in a way.

"Shit Bakura you're in love." he commented.

“Yeah, tell me something I don’t know for once.” Bakura retorted as he lifted his head and stared at his friend. Marik raised a brow at him and thought long and hard on what to do. There really wasn’t much he could do. Yami had gone and dug his own grave so he couldn’t help there, and Ryou was more than likely hell bent on keeping Bakura at bay for the rest of his life.

Unless…

A light bulb suddenly went off in Marik’s head and a sinister grin spread across his lips as he stared at the albino. His brain was in overdrive (which was saying a lot since he hardly used his brain) as he formulated a plan. He hadn’t been the leader of an evil organization by accident. He could be smart if he wanted to.

“Baku, I have a plan.”

“Oh no.” Bakura groaned and shook his head. “It’s not going to work.” He said.

“Maybe not, but what choice do you have? You’re in love and you want him back. Even if it doesn’t work, at least we tried and Ryou can see how much you love him, so there.” Marik said as if that was the most perfect answer in the world. Nodding to himself, he went back to work while still figuring out the details of his plan that he was going to set into motion when he got off work in a few hours.

“Wow, and he did that?” Jou asked as he sat at the table in the food court at Domino Mall. He had been invited out by his friends to help them with a problem they were having. Well two were having, apparently Malik was in the dark with everything like he was.

“Yeah!” Yuugi exclaimed and sighed, resting his head in a hand. “And then Yami came back to my room and was trying to make it right. Saying it wasn’t going to mean anything, just that he wanted a quick fuck from his old flame.”

“Yuugi!” Malik exclaimed. In all the time he had known the smaller, he had never heard the other curse before. It was strange to hear it coming from him.

“What? He did! I just couldn’t believe it. After everything….” The tri-colored haired boy trailed off.

“I kicked Bakura out.” Ryou whispered as he stared down at his salad.

“Oh, so that’s the reason Bakura came to bunk with us.” Malik said softly.

“Yeah, he told me that when I cry, he feels sorry for me.” Ryou continued. “I couldn’t believe him. Every word that came out of his mouth was an insult to not just me, but to Yami as well. I don’t really hate Yami. I guess, I feel sorry for him, he’s being used, like I was.”

“Ryou.” Jou whispered. He leaned over and wrapped an arm around the whitenett and pulled him close, rubbing his back gently. “Ryou you weren’t being used.” He said.

“Yes I was! I mean, I did everything for him. Everything he wanted. It was okay if he never said thank you or tried to do something nice for me. It was okay because he was there and noticed me.” Ryou spoke. “I just thought, after so long together maybe his feelings were more than just…whatever they were. I know now though, I was wrong.”

Malik frowned as the words from Ryou entered his ears and processed in his brain. Ryou was right. He had done so much for Bakura and yet the darkness never repaid Ryou, never even said thank you. Ryou had been used and in the worst way. He wasn’t used for his body and he hadn’t really been cheated on. But he had been used. His kindness had been taken advantage for and there had been no hopes of anything really developing from it all.

“Ryou, you’re right. He used your kindness to get what he wanted and then when you confessed your feelings he decided to be the ass he was and show his true nature.” Malik said. “And you don’t need a man like that. You know what you need?” he asked.

“A hole to lie in?” Ryou asked.

“No! He needs whiskey for his men!” Jou said with a smirk.

“And beer for his horses!”

Ryou and Yuugi looked at each other with confused looks. All of the sudden their friends were talking in such weird words, but then again, Ryou was almost certain that he had heard those words before, maybe… in a song?

“Oh no.” Ryou whispered as it finally dawned on him.

“Well a man, come on
Six o'clock news
Says somebody been shot
Somebody's been abused”

Jou sang as he moved around and slung his arms around Yuugi and Ryou, smiling at them happily as if the words he hadn’t just sung didn’t come out of his mouth. Ryou was almost certain that when he first met Jou the other had serious head trauma, but now, now he was absolutely sure.

“Somebody blew up a building
Somebody stole their car
Somebody got away
Somebody didn't get too far, yeah
They didn't get too far”

The music he had been trying to ignore this whole time grew louder and louder. It was so hard to ignore now that Ryou even found himself bobbing to the beat a bit. It was less than what Yuugi was doing though. The smaller male was nearly bouncing in his seat, mouthing the words of the song along with them.

The song seemed more of Jou’s type. Country: horrible spoken language, like his ‘Brooklyn Rage’. So when Malik suddenly joined in, well Ryou had to stop and wonder if some higher power was screwing them all over. It seemed like it.

“Grandpappy told my pappy
Back in my day, son
A man had to answer
For the wicked thing he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree
Round up all of them bad boys
And hang 'em high in the street
For all the people to see”

Ryou was greatly surprised to not hear any sort of country accent in Malik’s voice. Then again, Malik’s voice was heavily laced with his Egyptian accent and in all honesty, both sounded the same anyway.

“And justice is the one thing
You should always find
You gotta saddle up your boys
You gotta draw a hard line”

Jou sang to them. Those words that he sang though, it really hit home. Ryou wanted justice so much, justice for all the pain and suffering he was going through, had gone through at certain points in his life. He had his boys and they were all saddled up. Hell, Malik and Jou were even singing about it. Maybe this song was supposed to be inspirational, to help Ryou move on and realize what must be done in order to break all ties with Bakura.

“When the gun smoke settles
We'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back
At the local saloon”

Ryou snorted. Yeah a saloon. Ryou could go for a good stiff drink. Of course he was still underage to be doing that. Then again, his father did have a nice little collection in the basement wine cellar. Perhaps they could all go back to his place later and drink away the pain. Or at least, Yuugi and he could do that.

Yeah, that sounded like the perfect idea.

“We'll raises up our glasses
Against evil forces
Singing, "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!"

The two had jumped on the table to shout out the chorus together. They got many strange looks, but at the same time, many people were gathering to watch the spectacle that was the blonds.

“We got too many gangsters
Doing dirty deeds
Too much corruption
And crime in the streets”

Malik squatted and stared at Ryou frowning. Ryou knew he was talking not just about Bakura, but about Yami and probably Marik as well. But Malik couldn’t really talk since he was the one that started the whole Battle City nonsense, trying to get the God Cards and killing Yami.

“It's time the long arm of the law
Put a few more in the ground
Send them all to their Maker
And he'll set them on down
You can bet, He'll set 'em down”

Ryou had to laugh as Jou sang. He could see the pattern going on. Each sang a part that they had the most experience with, something that somehow related to him. Ryou thought it was funny, because he could see Jou being the undertaker, putting Bakura and Yami in the ground. Then again, he could also see Jou being the law and sending them to their ‘maker’ and that maker being Seto Kaiba.

Yeah, he would set them down alright.

“Cause justice is the one thing
You should always find
You gotta saddle up your boys
You gotta draw a hard line”

“When the gun smoke settles
We'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back
At the local saloon”

“And we'll raise up our glasses
Against evil forces
Singing, "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!"
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!”

Ryou jumped as the two moved around on the two tables they had pushed together. They weren’t really dancing, but it was enough to be considered dancing. And a whole crowd of people had formed now, cheering for their performance. He had to admit, they were being very inspirational.

“You know justice is the one thing
You should always find
You gotta saddle up your boys
You gotta draw a hard line”

“When the gun smoke settles
We'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all met back
At the local saloon”

Ryou turned and looked at Yuugi he was climbing on the table to join them. He smiled to himself and shook his head. He found himself leaving his seat as well and climbing up to join his friends.

They stood together in a line, arms wrapped around each other’s waists or shoulder, depending on what they could reach based on their height. The song was coming to a close and together, they finished it up.

“We'll raise up our glasses
Against evil forces
Singing, "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!"

They grinned as they stared at the crowd. It was unspoken of what they were going to do next.

“Singing ,"Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!”

They shouted the last sentence as loud as they could, the crowd joining them. The music rounded to a close and as it ended the crowd dispersed, looking confused as to why they had just joined a musical.

The four stared at each other, confused as well before they broke into laughter. One at a time, they climbed off the table and took their seats once more.

“You know guys, you’re right.” Yuugi said first. “What Yami and Bakura did was a pure injustice to us lights who only ever gave them a place to stay, food to eat and love that they never returned, well for one of us anyway.” He said and glanced to Ryou.

“Yeah, it’s time we hikari’s ban together and get back at those horrible darkness’s.” Ryou agreed. “Ah, and Jou can help to.” He said and laughed softly.

“Always! To be considered a hikari is a big accomplishment in my book, even if I don’t have a yami.” Jou said and grinned.

“Well, we could always consider Kaiba to be yours. He seems to be just like a dark, evil and is always around where you are when you don’t want them there.” Malik said and laughed softly.

“Yeah, a thorn in my side.” Jou said with a heavy sigh.

“I thought you liked him.” The question had all of them nodding, wondering exactly what Yuugi had voiced out.

“It’s…complicated.”

The three true lights looked at each other before shrugging. “Well, we all have our man troubles, it’s alright.” Malik said and patted Jou on the shoulder. “Anyway, for now let’s concentrate on the ones that are plain idiots. We should do something to get back at them.”

“I made Bakura homeless.” Ryou said.

“I broke up with Yami.” Yuugi added. “What more should we do?” he asked.

“Break them.” Malik said with a grin. “Make them see exactly what they just lost and make them jealous and come crawling back to you, begging.”

“Malik, your Marik is coming out.” Ryou said and smiled. Malik was the least of a light of them all. There were times when he acted more like Marik than anything else. Still, the other managed to pull off all his dark ideas with so much light and pureness in his heart it was amazing.

“I know, don’t you love it?” Malik asked with a giggle. “Alright, so here’s what we’re going to do.” He said and motioned for them all to get in a close huddle so he could explain his dastardly evil plan to them and set it in motion.
