Yugi sat on the plush, black couch in Yami's living room. The youth had agreed to watch a movie with the older male. The movie they were watching was Van Helsing. The violet-eyed teenager noted how Yami seemed to love the violence and gore. Yugi, for some reason, also found it amusing. Was the elder rubbing off on him already? Shrugging it off, the teen watched the twenty-one-year-old saunter into the room; carrying some kind of drink and popcorn. Yami smirked lightly.

"Hey, I got us something to eat during the movie…and," the young man hesitated, "I wanted to know if you would drink this?"

He held up a glass containing a golden liquid. Yugi stared blanking at it, silently wondering what it was.

"Yami, what is it?"

The crimson-eyed male chuckled and sat down beside the younger, handing him a bowl of popcorn. Then he handed him a glass of the cool substance.

"it's an Egyptian drink. The Pharaohs and High Priests drank it, along with every other person who was worthy in Upper and Lower Egypt."

Yugi tilted his head to the side, nodding his head to show he was listening. The very thought of drinking the solution made him bubble with pride. Yami thought he was worthy of it? He inwardly smiled. Then, a question popped into his head and made its way to his lips.

"Why me?"

Crimson eyes sparkled in amusement. "The Great Pharaohs would consider you worthy."

"How would you know?"

As Yugi asked the question, his eyes widened slightly as a strange reason ran through his mind.

::Could Yami possibly be the pharaoh Egypt has bragged about?::

Yami grinned and spoke up again. "Can you keep a secret, Yugi?"

The teenager nodded slowly, his mind screaming. ::I'D DO ANYTHING FOR YOU YAMI!!!::

Yami grinned and leaned next to the younger's ear. His warm breath made Yugi shiver.

"I'm the pharaoh…"

Yugi's eyes widened, his thoughts coming together, to fully comprehend what that meant. Could Yami possibly be the real Egyptian King?

"A-are you serious?! You're the Pharaoh?!"

Yami nodded, his exotic crimson eyes glittering brightly. The bartender just smirked as he observed the teenager realize the extent of his power over Egypt.

"Y-Yami…are you really telling me the truth?"

The bartender nodded smoothly.

For Yugi, this wasn't exactly so hard for him to accept. His adventures with Ryou Bakura and Merik Ishtar were the strangest. The two possessed golden items with the Eye of Ra (A/N: Not the Eye of Horus!!! ^_^) in the center. Ryou had one shaped like a ring with a triangle in the middle and pointed cones on the ends. Merik's item though, was a long golden rod with pieces of gold sticking out of the sides. Merik turned out to be an Egyptian Tomb Keeper, then Ryou's father got together with Solomon and Arthur. Now his new friend was an Egyptian too, but not just any Egyptian; a Pharaoh! He grinned at Yami and popped a piece of popcorn in his mouth, turning back to the long-forgotten movie. It was no big deal. Right?
