Author: I thought I’d try this out because I always love to put myself into animes as an original character so here it goes.

~a teenaged boy is running through some alleys~
Boy: Huff...huff. ~in a dark voice~ Is he still after me?! ~sees the shadow of the one following him~ Damn! I must get away!
~at Battle City, Yugi and his friends are taking a break from dueling~
Jonouchi (Joey in the US): Hehe we’ve almost made it the finals Yug!
Yugi: I know, we both just need one more locator card.
Jonouchi: I’m ready to take someone on and get that card already. Come on! Who wants some of me?!
Honda (Tristen in the US): Damn it Jonouchi, sit down.
Jonouchi: ~turning around~ I’m too excited!! Hehe to think that I’ll be in the finals.
Anzu (Teá in the US): Don’t get cocky now Jonouchi, who knows what kind of duelists they’ll be in the finals.
Yugi: Anzu’s right. There could be anybody plus Kaiba will be there.
Jonouchi: I don’t care!! I’ll beat them all!! ~Jonouchi’s stomach growls~ Ahh but first let’s get some food.
Honda: Now that’s something I can agree to, right Yug? Hey, something the matter?
Yugi: I feel like someone is watching us. I can’t shake it away.
Honda: Ah, it’s probably some of Kaiba’s cameras. That’s all.
Yugi: I don’t know Honda.
~Yugi, Jonouchi, Honda, and Anzu go off to get some food~
~in a crowd of people~
Boy: Hmm, that boy has a Millennium item. Interesting, I must follow him.
~at a fast food restaurant~
Jonouchi: Haha, food! ~starts eating really fast~
Anzu: Jonouchi, that’s gross!
Honda: Slow down man.
Jonouchi: ~too busy stuffing face~
Yugi: ~to himself~ That feeling is back and it’s getting closer.
~just then a boy about seventeen in a black duster with long, brown hair in the back and short bangs colored red walks by and accidentally drops something~
Yugi: Huh? Hey kid! ~picks up the item he dropped which was a dueling deck~ You dropped your deck!
~the boy turns around and smiles at Yugi~
Boy: ~simple kind voice~ Oh thank you. I’d never be able to get to the finals if I lost my deck.
Yugi: Your heading for the finals in the Battle City Tournament?
Boy: ~taking back his deck~ Yes I am and I’m just about there too. I need only one more locater card. ~shows the five cards he already has~ See?
Yugi: Wow. You must be real good.
Boy: I’m not THAT great, I just have Lady Luck on my side when I duel. By the way, My name’s Joseph, but you can call me J-kun. ~he sticks out his hand towards Yugi~
~Yugi accepts the gesture and introduces himself and the others~
Yugi: My name’s Yugi. That’s Anzu, Honda, and the one stuffing his face is Jonouchi.
Anzu: Nice to meet you.
Honda: Same here.
Jonouchi: Feh. Just more competition to beat.
~Honda stands up and hits Jonouchi over the head~
Jonouchi: OW! What the hell was that for?!
Honda: Be a little kinder.
Yugi: I’m sorry for his behavior, he just gets real excited about almost being in the finals too. Him and me only need one more locator card too.
J-kun: Really? Well I hope we can all see each other again in the finals. Oh and Yugi, if I may ask, what is that around your neck?
Yugi: ~looking at his Millennium puzzle~ This? It was a gift from my grandpa. Nothing special really. I guess we should be going now. It was nice to meet you J-kun and I hope we see each other again.
J-kun: Yes, I look forward to it.
~Yugi and his friends leave the restaurant and go on there way~
J-kun: ~dark voice~ Hmm. I wonder if he really doesn’t know the power of the puzzle or if he was lying.
~somewhere in Battle City~
Yami Bakura: Huh? I feel the presence of another item in the city. ~he smiles evilly~ This may be fun.
