Chapter 25: The Plan Back Fires
LAST CLASS OF THE DAY
“Hey Kaiba, catch.” Tristen through a piece of crinkled paper at Kaiba.
What the hell is his problem? Kaiba thought to himself. He opened up the paper to reveal a message.
Kaiba-
Meet me behind the school at 3:00 don’t be late.
He through the paper on the ground. How dare he demand me! He has some nerve! I’ll show him!
Kaiba had stormed off to his last class. Teji had seen the whole thing and she ran to pick it up. She read it. I’ll meet up with them after school to see what is going on… She planned it out in her mind.
3:00 P.M. END OF SCHOOL
Kaiba was on his way to the back of the school, and Teji secretly followed.
Once out side he met Tristen. “Now Kaiba, we will end this.”
“What are you talking about?” Kaiba asked confused.
“We’re going to fight, the loser can never talk to Teji again. I‘m not letting you take Teji away from Joey… You had your chance and you blew it.”
“So why are you fighting? Like you’d care if you never talked to her again.”
“I’m fighting on Joey’s behalf. Because he can’t see what’s going on.” Tristen says proudly.
“Oh? And what’s going on?” Kaiba asks snidely.
“Everyone knows you like Teji… well I know you’d do anything to gat back together with her. Even split her and Joey up.”
“It’s true, I still might like her, but I wouldn’t hurt her
like that. I can’t make her stop liking Joey, even if they weren’t going out. The only one who can do that is Joey.” Seto said calmly.
“I don’t care what you say! We are settling it here and now!”
All of a sudden, Weevil, and three other school bullies jumped out of the bushes. “I heard you were a good fighter so I made sure to get a lot of people to challenge you.” Tristen explained.
Kaiba just stood there fists up ready to fight. All at once they jumped on him knocking him to the ground. It was true Kaiba was a great fighter but he was just out numbered.
They flung him to the ground and the three bullies held his arms and legs still. “This ones for Joey!” Tristen yelled. And Punched Kaiba as hard as he could in the stomach.
It knocked the wind out of Kaiba, but he did a good job not showing it. Then, Teji jumped out of her hiding spot and ran toward Tristen. She punched him as hard as she could in his jaw. “You jerk!” She screamed at the top of her lungs.
The three bullies ran towards Teji, Whale Weevil tried to run away. He didn’t want Teji to see him.
Kaiba fell to the ground. Tristen was one of Dominos’ best
street fighters. That punch took a lot out of Kaiba.
Tristen was on the ground his mouth was bleeding. “I was only trying to help Teji.” Tristen said.
“Shut up!” Tristen had never seen her so mad. Her face had turned bright red like Teji’s hair and her eyes had an evil glow to them. “I don’t want to here another word from you!”
Tristen just sat there on the ground, scared to make her more mad. The three bullies charged her and she fell to the ground with a loud thud.
Teji jumped to her feet fists up ready to nock the next person out. The biggest one through, punch her, which she easily blocked and she hit him so hard in the chest he passed out.
The other two went after her at the same time. They knocked her down with a double punch. Her mouth was gushing blood. That was the first time she was ever injured in a fight.
At the site of the blood in Teji’s mouth, Kaiba got up and punched the littlest one as hard as he could.
Teji and Kaiba were now standing side by side. They both had their fists up and were ready to knock out the last one but he went running away.
Teji turned around to see Tristen was still sitting there. “Get the hell out of here be for you are next!” She warned him.
Tristen immediately got up and went running home.
Teji looked at Kaiba. “Are you ok?”
“I’m fine what about you? You took that hit pretty hard.”
“I’m ok, thanks.”
“How did you know where I was?” Seto asked in a curious voice.
“I saw Tristen give you the note, then I read the note, and thought I’d come see what Tristen was up to.”
“I didn’t need your help, I could have taken care of it my self.” Kaiba told Teji.
“I know you could of, but I couldn’t stand seeing you hurt.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be, its not your fault. You had to defend your self.”
“That’s not what I meant. I mean I’m sorry for getting you
into this Teji.”
“Tristen is an idiot. He doesn’t get that even if he won the fight, I would have still talked to you. It wouldn’t have changed a thing.”
“Really?” Kaiba asked in dis belief.
“Yeah, of cores. I don’t let other people pick who I talk to, so why
would him winning a fight make it different?”
“I guess it wouldn’t.” He said. “Are you doing anything?”
“When?” Teji asked caught off guard.
“Right now.”
“No…why?”
“Then come with me.”
Kaiba grabbed Teji’s arm and the both ran to Kaiba’s car. A few minutes later they were pulling up to a huge tent.
