Chapter 6- Phone Calls

Ryou/Bukura to Malik

At his house, Malik was sulking, like he had been for the past hour. The cuts weren't very deep just very long. And his shirt was ruined too. Malik had finished cleaning himself and changed, when he noticed that there was blood on his pet's paws. So he proceeded to clean them. While he was cleaning them, his phone rang.

/ Hello?/ Malik was annoyed and didn't really want to talk to anyone.

//Uh, hi Malik, this is Ryou. No it's Bakura. Shut up you! //

/ Look, I don't have time to hear you people, person, or whatever, argue. Is there a point to all this? Cause if there isn't hang up. /

// I'm a person and Bakura doesn't exist. I do too exist! Yea sure, Yugi told me you were going to Duelist Kingdom, and if it isn't that much of an inconvenience, could you bring the Eye back, and if you don't mind, the Ring too? Well, it is and inconvenience and he does mind! // Malik thought about getting two Millennium Items just because they thought he could be trusted.

/ Speak for yourself. I don't mind at all. /

// Do you hear how much enthusiasm there is? And you actually want to trust him? No I don't trust him, but I don't trust you either. /

/ Just give me the Eye. You can keep the Ring. /

// Fine! Thank you, I'll give it to you at the pier. Bye! // Then they hung up.

Joey to Yugi/Yami

/ Hey Yug, it's Joey. Look, I don't really want to go with you guys anymore. I mean don't get me wrong, but I don't really want to go with Malik, especially after what happened this afternoon. Need I remind you of it? /

// Well, I'm sorry, but I'll have to disappoint you. You have to come, and I think Tea did tell you not to pull. It was your own fault. Yes, besides Joey. You have never let anyone down before. I don't think you want to start now. //

/ Still! Malik tried to kill me remember? Does that not stand for anything? He already killed his father with the Rod, and I don't want to be viciously stabbed to death. And so what if Tea did tell me that I shouldn't pull on it? She never told me why. Strike that, yea she did. But it's not like I hurt him that much. /

// Joey, what world do you live in? You practically gave Malik new tattoos. Have some compassion for him. And if not for him, then for his pet. //

/ Yea, I guess so. But that thing bit me! It hurt! /

// Maybe it wouldn't have hurt you if you hadn't pulled it? //

// I know if this turns to an argument, you'll win. So I guess I'll have to go. But I don't think Arcana should go. /

// Why not?I don't think this is fair, Joey. It's his girlfriend. //

/ I know, but somehow I think our friends are still tagging along. I doubt they'll set foot on the island, but they'll come with us. And you're right, Yug. It is his girlfriend. Which is why he'll want to search the entire island for her. And I don't want to be out there at night. This is Duelist Kingdom we're talking about. Who knows what kinda creepy, crawly, disgusting, pink bunny guy (Funny Bunny), gross, and most of all creepy things he could have done or hired someone to do? /

// I see. So you don't want Arcana to come along because you don't want to be stuck out in the wild with a psychopath at night? //

/ I could have made it sound not so obvious, but all in all, yes. Yes I am./

//Ok. Sure. //

/ Really? /

// Yea. Now that you mentioned it, that place will probably be a lot creepier. Oh, gotta go Joey. Bye! //

Tristan to Tea

/Hello?/

//Tea, it's Tristan. I'm going to come along with them and I was hoping you would come too. You don't really expect me to believe that you have to go to New York tonight, do you?//

/Actually, yea I did think you guys would believe me. But even if, I'm not really surprised you don't think I'm going. I mean, c'mon! Even Joey thought I was lying, which I am in a way, and note the question mark when I said quote I was going to unquote./

//COME! I don't wanna go there alone!//

/Be a man! Oh wait, I forgot you're a girl. I'll only go if I don't have to set foot on that disgusting island. And if Malik's yacht is good enough. Take it or leave it./

//Fine! Be that way.//
