The white haired boy complied to the tug around his neck and sped his movements up, trying to keep up with the one holding to other end of his leash.

"B-Bakura you're walking too fast!"

The spirit of the Ring stopped abruptly in his path. He swerved around and stared his Hikari in the eye, "what did you call me?"

"B-Bakura please..." Ryou whimpered, making a move to shrink into the shadows. A harsh tug on the leash lurched him forward into the moonlight, foiling that plan of his to be unnoticed by the other.

Bakura sneered, pulling the leash up so his other self dangled helplessly in the air, "you worthless little...insignificant slave...useless little whore, you! How dare you address me by my name without permission from me first?! I am your master; you do not speak without my consent! Disobedient, defying, diminutive Ryou...when will you ever learn your place? I am the Alfa, your master, your superior! You despicable, appalling, foul minion...I should've done away with one as noncompliant as you long ago...If it were not for the fact you were actually _good_ at being the worthless pleasure slave you are..." he stopped and laughed, glaring down at the shorter boy. He kicked the other in the shin, making him trip and fall on the sidewalk.

"Let's just say you wouldn't have lasted very long," the tomb Robber chuckled.

Ryou whined and looked towards the ground, obeying a final pull on the harness and walking towards the Kaiba mansion behind his dark side.

Seto sighed as he sat down on the plush leather couch in the large sitting room of his manor. He was troubled, to put it simply. What the two Egyptians had said to him before plagued his mind, pushing into all of his thoughts and side-tracking him from more important matters.

//They couldn't have been telling the truth. Yugi told me he loved me...but he had been so willing to go into Yami's arms when he came back//

The brunette slammed his fist on the coffee table, "but still he said he would never forgive that pompous Pharaoh! He said he wanted me as his lover, and nobody else! He said he was over Yami...he said he would never forgive him...he said...he said he loved me...he let me kiss him... he..."

//Did he really say he loved you? // that annoying voice in Kaiba's head asked.

Seto's eyes widened in realization, "did he ever say he loved me? I told him but did he ever answer? Was I too blinded by happiness?"

The door opened and the brunette turned around, seeing the small boy of his affection standing there with a grieving look on his features. He slowly approached, reaching forward and pulling the taller teen into an embrace. It was strange, in truth...the smaller and more naïve comforting the taller and tainted. A few tears slipped from those big amethyst eyes. "I am so sorry Seto...I did not want to hurt you. I love you as a friend...I'm sorry I have never told you that."

The CEO stared down at the little one. The one who had caused him so much pain...first from hiding his emotions, then from letting them too far out of control, then to losing his love.

"Did you really just want Yami all along?"

Yugi looked up, blinking slowly. He hung his head shamefully, "I cannot love another, Seto. I did try to love you...honestly I did. I thought I could make our friendship into something more.... It's just that maybe friends are only supposed to stay as just friends. Do you understand Seto?"

//It was all just a game. He didn't love me at all...it was just as Malik and Marik warned...they were actually telling the truth.//

The brunette pulled away from the hug, nodding slowly and mumbling something before walking away dejectedly.

Yugi watched sympathetically as he left. He had tried to love Seto, that wasn't a lie. But...if the feelings weren't there...what could anyone do? Plus the whole rivalry between Yami and Seto would never make a real relationship between the CEO and the small Hikari work out anyways.

"Maybe dreams are too far to reach, after all. I guess love is only a silly game that two with it can understand...But when will I ever know my second? How will this game end?"

The small boy sighed as he sat down on the leather couch, pulling his knees up to his chin and rocking back and forth, humming silently. //It just isn't fair. I love Yami...but do I also love Seto? Is there a love inside for me I can give to him other than friendship? Will I be frowned upon for it? For loving two people at once? Yami and Seto hate each other...there is no way either would share me with the other one. I am being so selfish. Why do I have to toy with their emotions? Why can I not just chose one and be happy like other people? I have heart so many with this already...it just isn't right.//

Yugi looked up to see his old blonde friend walking towards him with a small smile on his handsome face. "Hello, Jonouchi," he greeted dully.

The other laughed slightly, sitting down and wrapping a comforting arm around the smaller's shoulders, "Yueg...I treated ya horribly in the past few months but I want ya ta know...I'm sorry. Very sorry. I hope ya can forgive me for my stupid actions."

Violet eyes gleamed happily as the light returned the friendly cuddle. "Thanks Jou...I'm happy we're still close."

Jonouchi smiled, knowing half the other's attitude was a mask. He wasn't a dumb puppy like everyone thought. He knew friend was troubled by the situation, "Yueg...I just want ya ta know...I'm here for ya okay?"

//Maybe there is a way for dreams to come true...maybe the answer lies in the my last option...//

"So there you are, spirit./ I have been awaiting your arrival."

The puzzle spirit turned in the direction of the voice, "hello, priest...it's been a while," he greeted coolly.

Seto nodded in confirmation to the light attempt of a joke. He knew Yami was acting politely to please Yugi. The dark one was well aware of the soft side his lover had for the tall brunette, though he couldn't figure why. He still respected his light's wishes...for the moment.

"Listen Yami, you don't have to try and act nice. I know your feelings for me will never change. I also know Yugi's feelings won't falter either. I've decided to give up. I know this isn't the right path for me. I know he isn't who I am meant to be with. I wish for his happiness that is all. If he finds happiness with you, I am happy for him."

"You're giving up on him, just like that?"

Blue eyes softened slightly, "love is a game, Yami. I have finally reached it's final level, and beaten it. In doing so, I have discovered it's hidden message."

The ancient Pharaoh looked baffled by the statement, not expecting such words from the one so in love with the holder of the Sennen Puzzle.

"I wish there was another way. Maybe in another life, I will be challenged for his affection again. Maybe I can win it next time too...maybe it will be different...Yami, I have something I want to ask you..."

Yami's crimson eyes narrowed, "what is it?" he questioned, stepping forward slightly.

Seto grasped his hands on the shorter boy's shoulder, "I want you to be with Yugi, forever. I want you both to be happy and love each other. Please do this in my memory Yami. Please, I want him to smile; I want that glow in his eyes to never fade. If he finds true love with you, don't ever hurt him. Love him all you can, to the fullest extent and never cease on giving that love to him. He deserves your love just as you deserve his."

Yami was taken back. His cold eyes softened slightly, "I would never dream of harming him again. He is my Hikari, and I love him. But just As he loves me, he loves you as well. Maybe not as much, but it is still there. Know that, and keep that love with you for he has given it very willingly and selflessly to you. Take the love with you wherever you go, in all the choices you make." He looked up into those sharp azure orbs, "what is it you wanted to ask me now?"

"Yami...I need my death..."
