Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Gomenasai ❯ Chapter 3 ( Chapter 3 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Disclaimer: I don't own YuGiOh, or the song “Gomenasai” by T.A.T.U. Also, I don't own Amura anymore. She doesn't like the way I've been treating her in these books I've been writing, and she decided to become WinterJewel's muse.
Pairings: MarikuxRyou, BakuraxAtemu, MalikxAmura, SetoxYugi, IsisxShadi.
Warnings: Swearing, shonen-ai, Mariku singing.
Author Note: I'm pretty sure this is the last chapter. There may be an epilogue, but there might not. It depends. Please read.

Chapter 3

At The Ishtar/Evans House:

“We screwed up, didn't we?” Mariku said, resting on his bed with his head hanging off.
Isis didn't turn around as she answered. “Why would you think that? This way, Ryou will really know that you mean this, and it won't be blown off as a way to get him back.” She held up a shirt and looked at the permanent sweat stains under the armpits with scorn.

They were currently in Mariku's room, and Isis was looking through Mariku's clothing, hoping to find a shirt that was presentable enough to help Malik and her's plan move along. She sighed and threw up her hands. “Do you not have any shirts that have no stains and are long sleeved?” she asked, looking at the depressed dark.

Mariku shook his head. “I used to, but I think Ryou took them.” He said. Isis smiled brightly at this information. “That means he must really care for you! Otherwise he wouldn't have taken the shirts.” “Unless he wanted to cut them up and burn them” The last bit came from Shadi as he entered the room with breakfast. He gave Mariku a granola bar, seeing as the young man wasn't going to be moving anytime soon, and I'm sure when Ryou comes back he won't want stains on the floor.

Isis glared at her fiancé as she took a yogurt out of his hand. “Well, either way that means you have no shirts that will help. Meaning that we have to go shopping.” She said, running her hand through her hair. “No we won't. I phoned Kaiba and he says he'll send over a designer. I knew that Mariku would have no good clothes. That's the way he is.” Shadi said, teasing the dark. But instead of teasing back, like he used to, he just sighed.

Isis and Shadi shared concerned looks but shrugged. “Mariku, sit up.” Isis ordered, taking out a length of measuring tape. Since Mariku only needed shirts, she only needed to measure his top half.

When the designer got there, Isis gave him the measurements and pulled Shadi into the kitchen. “We have to do something soon. Mariku is really depressed. And if he's like this, imagine what Ryou's like.” She said. Shadi nodded and shivered. Ryou was probably worse.

At The Mouto/Ishtar/Evans House:

Ryou sighed as he watched Bakura and Atemu try to cheer him up. Ryou would be worse off then Mariku, if he hadn't heard that he was searching for an engagement ring with Isis. Malik needs to learn to be quiet.

Ryou watched Bakura try to stand on Atemu's shoulders. Key word being tried. As soon as Bakura almost got up, Amura burst into the room, startling Bakura and causing him to fall off. He glared at the girl from the floor as he rubbed his head. Amura shrugged. “Ryou, we're going out to a karaoke bar. So get dressed and please take a shower. You too, Bakura.” She said, hoping Ryou wouldn't refuse to go.

“Alright” He said, having heard Malik say that Mariku was surprisingly a good singer. “Come on Bakura” he ordered, grapping his arm and pulling him into the bathroom that was connected to the guest bedroom. Atemu looked at Amura. “You think this will work?” he asked. Amura nodded. “I'm sure.” She said.

At The Wilton Dogs (1) Karaoke Bar:

Ryou looked around as he sipped his drink. Thankfully this place didn't serve alcohol. Ryou didn't want to be drunk when Mariku went up on stage. Is it ruining the story that Ryou knows? Nope. But Amura and Malik will be angry. Anyway, Ryou was wearing something nice and simple. A light blue turtleneck and dark blue pants. But (Although the others didn't know it) the turtleneck was Mariku's.

Bakura was wearing black leather, as was Atemu and Yugi. Seto was in his white trench coat, the one with the amazing ability to defy gravity. Amura was in an outfit like Ryou's, only it was entirely black. Malik was wearing what he normally did; only the lavender shirt covered his stomach. Isis was in a cream colored turtleneck and a black pencil skirt, while Shadi had on black pants and a sand colored shirt.

He had also forsaken the turban for a different hat, though with his out fit it was still as strange. “Shadi, why are you wearing a baseball cap?” Atemu asked, staring at the pupil-less man. “Because Isis said she would burn my turban if I wore it” Shadi answered, looking ready to cry. Obviously he was very attached to his turban.

Ryou looked to the stage as familiar music started to play, and Mariku came out. He was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt with black pants and a white vest over the shirt. He also didn't have his cape, but only because Ryou took his only one and the designer wouldn't make a new one.

Mariku looked out at the crowd and smiled as he looked at Ryou and recognized his shirt. Mariku took a deep breath and opened his mouth, starting to sing:

What I thought wasn't mine
In the light
Was one of a kind
A precious pearl
When I wanted to cry
I couldn't `cause
I wasn't allowed.

Gomenasai
For everything
Gomenasai
I know I let you down
Gomenasai `til the end
I never needed a friend like
I do now.

What I thought wasn't all
So innocent
Was a delicate doll
Of porcelain
When I wanted to call you
And ask you for help
I stopped myself

Gomenasai
For everything
Gomenasai
I know I let you down
Gomenasai `til the end
I never needed a friend like
I do now

What I thought was a dream
A mirage
Was as real as it seemed
A privilege
When I wanted to tell
I made a mistake
I walked away

Gomenasai
For everything
Gomenasai
Gomenasai
Gomenasai
I never needed a friend
Like I do now

Gomenasai
I let you down
Gomenasai
Gomenasai
Gomenasai `til the end
I never needed a friend
Like I do now

Ryou's eyes filled with tears as he walked up onto the stage and hugged Mariku. “Thank you, `Riku” he whispered. Mariku smiled at his little lover. “You're welcome. Ry, will you-“ “yes, yes I'll marry you.” He answered, kissing Mariku on the mouth. In the crowd, Amura and Malik exchanged looks and smiled. Their job was done.

End of Chapter 3

Hikari: Well, that's the end of Gomenasai. Unless someone wants me to do an epilogue. There will be a sequel, but the epilogue is up to you guys. Please review and tell me.
