AN: Ok, I don't know why, but for some reason I have this thing with Pegasus now and I just had to write this, ok^^

It was a stormy day. Maxamillion Pegasus sat alone in his castle at Duelist Kingdom. He looked at the calander, eyes focused on the huge red circle around today's date. 3 years ago today, Ceceila had died, leaving Pegasus all alone. Pegasus sighed as he slowly began to exit the room when he felt a sharp cringe.

He instantly knew something was wrong with him. Suddenly, he collapsed to the floor, hardly able to breathe.

`~` Hours Later, at the Hospital `~`

Pegasus slowly began to wake up. The first thing he saw was the huge clump of doctors and nurses gathered around him. " Ah, you're awake Mr. Pegasus. We seem to have found the problem," Random Doctor #1 said. " What happened?" asked Pegasus, extremely confused and in a lot of pain. " You passed out. Croquet and Kimo found you passed out on the floor and called an ambulance. It turns out that you have leukemia," replied Random Doctor #2. A wave of shock came over Pegasus as that one word echoed through his mind. " Leukemia...." Pegasus uttered. 'Ceceila,' he thought. ' That's what killed Ceceila!' Pegasus was completely shocked. " Well, tehnically, it's leukemia and something else. We can't quite make out what the other is," finished Random Doctor #1. " We'll leave you to get some rest now." And with that, the doctors left Pegasus alone to contemplate his fate.

`~` One Hour Later `~`

'I can't believe this,' Pegasus thought to himslef. ' Killed by the same thing as Ceceila...'

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Maxamillion Pegasus," Kim Kaiba said with an evil grin walking into Pegasus' room. Kim Kaiba, Seto Kaiba's little sister, well, technically they're twins, but she calls him Onii-chan, was probably Pegasus' worst enemy. She was the same age as Seto with short brown hair, ice blue eyes and the same evil smile as Seto (wow, sound familliar? No wonder they're twins...).

" I'm not in the mood for you right now, Kaiba. Get out of here," Pegasus snapped at his enemy. "Oooh, touchy. Man, what's eating you?" Kim snapped right back. " If you must know, I've just been diagnosed with leukemia. I'm not in the mood to be dealing with you right now. Kim's hard stare turned into one of compassion, one that only her brothers and her boyfriend, Joey Wheeler saw. " Really? Pegasus, I'm so sorry. If I had known I wouldn't of..." "It's ok," Pegasus cut her off. " Do you really have..." "Yeah. And something else. The doctors can't quite see what it is," Pegasus finished. " Maybe I can help," Kim said, calling forth her Millenium Heart. "You have a Millenium Item?!" Pegasus exclaimed, quite shocked. " Yup. I can use it's powers to see what's wrong," she said, Millenium Heart glowing. A second later, she saw what was wrong. "I see..." she whispered. "What? What is it?" asked Pegasus, rather anxious to know what was wrong. " It's not any ordinary disease." Her words confused Pegasus. " What do you mean?" Pegasus asked, slowly sitting up.

"Pegasus, you're suffering from a broken heart."

Joey: Well that was officially pointless.
