Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Heart of the Ocean, Wrath of the Seas ❯ Raining Sea ( Chapter 1 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Tom: Greetings ladies and germs, welcome to the first chapter of my Yugoih fic! Woo hoo... *spins a little noisemaker thing* so much heart in it, can ya tell? Anyway, I really am sorta excited about this, never made a Yugioh one before, so this is a new accomplishment, eh? I brought in the cast for Final Fantasy 10 to muse since I plan on using them in my next story after I start a new file in my game and follow that with twists involving OCs and the like. *starts looking the seven over* Um, which to do the d/c....
Kimahri: The what?
Tom: Disclaimer, you tell all those nice readers out there that I don't own you guys or the majority of what I'm writing about in this story. Speakin' of which I still gotta finish that set of cards with my friend for this story.
Kimahri: Kimahri will do it, if it make you shut up and leave us alone.
Tom: Yeah, sure, why not. I won't needa bug ya until the next chapter which will probably be a while considering what my inspiration's been recently.
Kimahri: All right, big mouth pup does not own Kimahri, friends or people in this story. Kimahri must go and discover the power of the pad and screen now.
Tom: It's a Dance Dance Revolution pad, the game's already in and on, just stand on the little circle in the pad and step on the arrows when you see them on the screen. I'm sure you'll figure it out sooner or later, that game's a hell of a lot of fun. I think I have some other systems and pads so everybody can play too, who wants to take me on, huh? Oh yeah, enjoy the story ladies and gentlemen, can't promise the greatest read in your life though, eh?
"Raining Sea"
A small, sailing ship rocked gently with the waves lapping against the hull. A tall, dark-skinned man at the helm with a girl that seemed to be his perfect opposite leaning against his chest. His stormy, blue eyes contrasting her calm, aqua-marine ones. His black hair (look at Raphael's hairstyle) to her blue ocean waves with the white crests tipping the end of her shoulder length locks. He had a large, dark, bronze-color bulk that outlined her lithe, light coppered frame.
"Soon, brother, you will know the full wrath of the seas, stilled only by the pure heart of the ocean." The man said, a finger trailing across one of the heart-shaped rubies in his bracelet then traced the girl's sapphire ring with a serpent of that same color holding a miniature cut of the Heart of the Ocean. Both serpent and heart cut from the same gem, the real Heart of the Ocean.
"Sui, are we at the port yet?" The girl asked sleepily, barely noticing her surroundings and burying her face deeper into his chest. Sui wrapped his arm more tightly around her and kissed the top of her head.
"Almost, Mizu. We'll be there in a few minutes, you can rest if you want to." He replied softly, neither cared to connect the sound of his voice to the former world champion duelist Seto Kaiba. Mizu sighed contentedly and silently drifted into slumber, lulled by the calm slap of water on hull and the heartbeat of her boyfriend.

Sui brought the boat up quickly and quietly, tied it down and carried the sleeping girl to the nearest hotel he could find. Within a few minutes, the pair were comfortably settled in a bed and sleeping soundly.

"Hey! Hey Yugi! Where are ya!? Aw man, I can't wait to show Yug this new card I got." Joey exclaimed while scouring the food court high and low for his short friend. The friend in question was sitting only a few yards away sharing a cherry slurpee with Tea. (Johnny: *gasp* CHERRY BRAINFREEZIE!!! Tom: No Nny, but a brainfreezie and a slurpee are basically the same thing. Johnny: WHEEE!!)
"Yugi! There y'are. Look what I just got, the Total Defense Shogun!" He shouted while thrusting the card into Yugi's face.
"That's great, Joey. With a card like that in your deck you're gonna be pretty tough to beat. Not even my Dark Magician could get through that monster, a few magic cards to make it stronger and it'd be almost unbeatable." The boy replied with an encouraging smile.
Joey grinned and then made that weird macho face. "Aw yeah, baby! Joey Wheeler's gonna mop da floor wit' anyone that tries to duel me now!" His display soon vanished when he noticed a copper-skinned girl looking at them and giggling. Upon realizing that she'd been seen, her attention went back to a small drink in front of her and worried at the tip of the straw. Oh no, I hope that boy doesn't come over here. She bit her lip, I hope Sui comes back soon before something happens. He'll be so mad if he sees them near me.
It seemed that her thoughts were heard, but by the wrong entity of fortune as Joey, Tristan and Duke tripping over and beating each other to get to the girl first. Yugi and Tea merely walked over to her and introduced themselves.
"Hi, my name's Yugi and this is my friend Tea." He looked back and sweatdropped nervously, "those guys are friends of mine too, but they're usually much more well-behaved." Mizu smiled coyly and froze when Yugi was suddenly shoved out of the way and Tristan grabbed her hands into his.
"I'm Tristan, one of the greatest duelists around. Maybe you've heard of Joey Wheeler? I taught him everything he knows about d- Gah!" Duke jumped on Tristan and knocked him over into Yugi.
"My name is Duke Devlin, inventor of the Dungeon Dice Monsters game. You must have heard of me before." After flashing one of his "charming" smiles (I'm gonna be sick) Mizu smiled nervously.
"I'm sorry, but I've never heard of any of you before. I haven't been around many other people for a few months. We've been sailing, searching for somebody... Oh!" Joey kicked Duke out of the way and did the same thing Tristan did.
"Name's Joey Wheeler, second place winner in Duelist Kingdom, baby!" He grinned boyishly until a fist connected with his jaw and flung him away from Mizu.
"Keep your hands off of her you bastard!" When Joey managed to shake off the daze from the blow he started looking around for Kaiba and looked up to the man standing behind Mizu.
"What makes you think you can try to come on to my girl like that, huh?!"
Joey went wide-eyed and freaked out. "Ihhhh! Have I lost it or does that guy sound just like Kaiba?"
Sui only glared, then started toward him when Mizu stepped around and stopped him. "Don't hurt him, Sui, it was just a mistake. We just got here, nobody knows us."
"Someone here knows me, it's just a matter of finding him. Are you all right?" He asked her with genuine concern.
She smiled and nodded, "I'm fine, I was just afraid of them coming over here because I knew you'd do what you just did to that poor boy."
"That's nothin' compared to what I'm gonna do to him." Came a voice from behind Sui. The blonde woman shoved past him and gave Joey the evil eye. "What do you think you were doing to that girl Wheeler? Get back here, I'm not done with you yet!" Mai bolted after Joey, brandishing her fist and swearing the whole way.
Mizu giggled nervously and sweat dropped. "Oh my, I hope he didn't get into too much trouble because of me."
"Oh, don't worry," Tea remarked, "he oughta be used to it by now. If he hasn't done one stupid to make Mai mad, it's another." She looked at Sui and held out her hand. "Hi, my name's Tea." She then pulled Yugi out from under Duke and Tristan after Sui reluctantly shook her hand because of a jab in the ribs by Mizu to be nice.
"Sui Tsunami, I'm looking for my half brother, Mako Tsunami. Have you met him before?" Sui responded curtly.
Yugi stood up and brushed himself off. "Yeah, we know him. I dueled him once in Duelist Kingdom and Joey beat him in the Battle City Tournament recently. I think he's out fishing right now, you could wait at the docks, though. If he's your half brother, does that mean his father's still alive?"
Sui tensed slightly, it was one of the few things besides Mizu that could get to him. "He... died. A few months ago, after sending The Legendary Fisherman to Mako. That was when he told me why he'd mailed off such a rare card to a place I'd never heard of before. He must've known he would die that day, he told me in the morning before he left in the ship, before a serpent that looked like a Duel Monsters card obliterated it."
Yugi and Tea both looked at him with pity. "Oh, maybe he survived that, too, did he tell you about the time he'd survived a storm that demolished his and Mako's ship?"
He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, so Mizu took the unpleasant duty to tell them herself. "It's because we found him...sort of. Most of him anyway, h-he'd been torn in half by the shrapnel when the serpent's tail tore up the deck, That's what we were told anyway. Sui thinks somebody had him killed and somehow managed a hologram of the monster to make it look like one of those unexplainable phenomena..."
"That's enough, Mizu. They don't need to hear about my problems, I'm sure they've got enough of their own. The Phaoroh and the Millennium Puzzle can't be helping matters much, too much for most people to handle." Sui remained calm and kept his tone cold. He wrapped an arm around Mizu's shoulders and started leading her away to keep looking for Mako and just to put some distance between those two and him.
~*~*~*~
A figure that sat at another table far enough away peered over the newspaper he was pretending to read, a malicious grin crossing the golden skin of his face to reveal an unusual set of fangs, his piercing amber eyes dancing.
"It's almost time, my master. I think I've found a mortal to use your power so I may become your vessel, to honor your ancient name given me with your own blessings, Kronos. This boy, Sui, will be your glorious return to power and my chance to do what so many for the past ten millenia have failed in doing. I swear to you my father, my body and powers will be very satisfactory to begin your rise, my only wish is that I could house your full power with my weak essence."
Kronos frowned at the thought of not being able to perform the ritual on his own, if that were possible he would have just released the leader of the Greek and Atlantic Titans so many years ago. In truth, Kronos was nearing fifty years old and the window of opportunity for him to bring the real Kronos back with his own body was starting to close rapidly with his constantly withering body.
"I swear that you will breathe fresh air again and we will wring that traitorous Leviathan's neck dry of your souls my father, Kronos." His eyes started to glow slightly as a golden aura, invisible in the sunlight, enveloped him and he popped out of the courtyard.

"Sui, you didn't have to be so mean to them. We haven't been home for so long, knowing you, we won't be going back either. I want to make new friends now, it took so long back home because I was so shy..." She murmured to her brooding boyfriend, when a voice broke into her sentence and his train of thought.
"Ahoy there! Any chance to help a man of the sea?!" A man with skin like Sui's was sailing up in a small boat, he was waving a line of rope and Sui figured he meant for them to lash it down for him.
"I don't see why not. First, I have a question for you." The other man looked at him and nodded, while tossing the line to him. "Do you know a man that answers to the name Mako?"
The man laughed heartily, "Well, I hope I do since Mako's my name! Mako Tsunami, at your service." Sui pulled a duel disk out of his satchel and handed Mizu hers.
"I've been looking for you for a long time, brother. I, Sui Tsunami, will beat you. It will be a two-on-two duel, Mizu and I against you and whomever you choose as a partner. You have two hours to find someone, I hope our father wasn't putting false hope in your determination as a duelist. Please, find a partner soon, though, I want to get this over with. Meet us at the fourteenth pier, where our ship is. Farewell."
He turned and walked away, Mizu following quickly behind him, Mako stood there, gaping, did that guy just say our father?

Tom: There's the first chapter, maybe more in depth stuff on Sui and Mizu. Kronos gets to stay a shadow for a while, next is the duel with Mizu and Sui versus Mako and his dueling partner of choice... Now who to make his partner. Mai, Yugi, Duke, Joey.... Ah, so many choices so little brain to choose with! You could suggest someone for it. I'l update when I get enough reviews, actually I'd prefer e-mails, I find reviews to be overrated and I've been hearing they're goin screwy. Oh yeah, and I have an original character, if ya want that one you'll just hafta pick, it's either intro him here or whichever chapter seems good later.
