Hearts of Fire Chapter 14

Summary: The Three take their leave and Joey tells his secret. Seto puts a stop to it and has Joey and Otogi

The morning found everyone feeling better than when all of this first started. They felt free and were
happy to be able to get back to their lives.

Well all except Joey. He was nervous about what he would be telling everyone.

Rick saw how nervous Joey was. He also knew that Joey needed to do this. So he went over and lead him into the
foyer. "Joey, I know what your going to tell them. Don`t look so shocked. I haven`t said anything. I just
want you to know that I believe that everything will work out. Otogi loves you as well as Seto, they will

They went back into the dining hall. Everyone was finishing up.

Lyn stood with Rick and Wolf. "We must be going. Wolf wants to explore the world."

Everyone seemed to calm down after they left.

Seto looked at him intently. He wanted to know what it was. Joey sounded frightened. He didn`t like his

"It`s alright Joey, we`re all here for you. Don`t rush yourself." Yami said.

"I..I can`t go back to my dad."

"It`s best if I just come out and say it. I need to get this over with." Joey sighed and ran his fingers
threw his hair. "Guys, my dad, he sells me. He uses me. I don`t want to go back. Ever." He sniffled and
let go of Otogi, thinking that he wouldn`t want him anymore.

Otogi took his hand back and sat on Joey`s lap. "I love you." He whispered.

Seto watched them, his heart breaking. He wanted more than anything to go over there and kiss Joey as well.
This was what he needed though. Now he could keep them here. Otogi would never leave Joey and he had to
keep Joey here until his father was put in a special rehab. One that would break his will. He just hoped
that Joey held no love for his father. This place would be torture on him.

Joey looked at everyone else. They seemed pissed but concerned for him. Although Bakura, Marik and Yami
looked like they would love to kill something, at least he knew that wasn`t directed at him.

Yugi spoke first. "Joey, you can`t go back, there has to be somewhere that you could stay."

"I won`t put any of you in danger."

Seto scoffed. "Danger, the man could never get in her without a death wish, and you will be staying here."

"Of course I am. You and Otogi can both stay, since you don`t seem to want to be away from each other. I
will get in touch with a specail clinic I know of and have your 'father' put in their treatment facility.
But until then you stay here. You go no where without a guard. Either of you. Understood?"

"Yeah."

Otogi snuggled snuggled closer. "Looks like he wants us around."

"Yeah. Maybe this will all work out for the best. I know I can`t go back. I don`t want to either. Plus I
can get myself back on track at school without having to worry."

Everybody talked for a while longer then they began to leave. Telling Joey not to worry that they all would
be there for him. After everyone left Seto turned to them.

"You two can do whatever you want, I need to go into the office. Just don`t leave unless you have to. If you
have to, make sure you take the guards. I`ll be working on something out of the office today. My cell number
is on the phone if you need me." Seto turned and left.

Mokuba hugged Joey. "Don`t worry, he just cares about you and he`s going to make sure your safe."

Joey hugged him. "Why don`t you two go play. We have some things to talk about."

Meanwhile with Seto

As soon as Seto got into the car he called some of the best guards he had and told them to meet him at the
office. He then called the Institute and arranged for some of their people to come to his office. They told
him that there would be five workers there within fifteen minutes. This wouldn`t take as long as he thought
it would. He smiled at that. He would have Joey`s dad locked up before dinner tonight. If they could track
him down. Which he was sure his guards could do.

The limo pulled up to the private entrance and Seto walked in. Going to his private elevator and up to his
office. Outside of his office sat his guards. He motioned for them to follow him. They obeyed immediately.

He sat at his desk and riffled through some papers before finding the picture of Joey`s family that he had
been looking for. He threw it across the desk. "I want you track down the man in that picture. He has done
atrocities to his son and family. Track, tail him and let me know when you find him. I have called the
Institute and their people are on the way. I want this all taken care of before dinner. Understood?"

"Yes sir."

With that little piece done all he had to do what for the man to be found.

Fifteen minutes later the people from the Institute arrived. He told them what he needed done and had them
wait for word from his men.

The men called in, a half hour later. "We found him sir. We followed him back to his apartment. Should we make
sure he doesn`t leave?"

"Yes. We will be there soon." Seto slammed the phone down and called for the Insitute people to follow him
to the address.

They arrived fifteen minutes later. Seto instructed them on what to do. And they headed up. The Institute
people drugged him and carried him out. Seto`s people began boxing and bagging everything. Making sure to
mark which room everything came from. Seto went to Joey`s room and found his deck and schoolbooks. He threw
them in a bag and headed out. Leaving his people to make sure the job was done.

He called the Institute on his way back to KaibaCorp. and confirmed what needed to be done with Mr. Wheeler.
After that he cancelled all the appointments for the next several days. Taking a vacation, as far as any
where concerned. After he got back at the office he set everything up so that he wouldn`t have to worry about
the work for the rest of the week. After that he left for home.

Dinner had just been finished and everyone was being informed when Seto came home. He gave a curt nod to his
staff and went to his room to change, then he found Joey and gave him the bag. Not taking the time to explain.
He went down to dinner and sat, watching everyone and waiting for Joey to question him about his stuff. But
Joey seemed to be shocked about the whole thing or he was acting. After Mokuba left Seto went to stand only
to be stopped by Joey and Otogi.

"Wait, How`d ya get my bag and deck?"

"I went to your home and got them."

Joey paled. "Did my father see ya?"

"No he only saw the people that took him away."

"Whatcha mean took away?"

"I had your 'father' committed to a very private institute for his rehab. He will not leave there until they
are sure that he has kicked the habit."

Seto wouldn`t have that though and held him. "I told you I wouldn`t let you go back until he was secured.
Once he is, and that apartment of yours has been sanitized then you can leave."

Mokuba`s plan by the way. Otogi and Joey set up a surprise to show Seto that they return his feelings and
we find out how Joey`s dad is doing in rehab. That will be last chapter. If enough people want it, I`ll do
a sequel. May do one anyway. It will be much longer and more detailed than this one.
