(Author's Notes: Hey, everyone! DJ Rodriguez here, with another songfic that puts Yugi together with a lucky fangirl! Who is it now, you may ask?

If there's anything worth my love it's worth a fight

There was a terrible ordeal at Domino High School. There was a situation in school, and it involved Yugi and his girlfriend, Jocasta. But, she was also known to many as Cas. They were behind the school, very much well hidden from the prying eyes of the teachers. However, that was not the problem. The problem was that seven large boys surrounded them! One of them, the leader, was an ex-boyfriend of Cas!

"Cas, you belong to me and I will have you back!", the ex snarled at her. His name was Lewis, and he was twice as tall as Yugi. He had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and was very muscular. He was very handsome, to most girls that is. However, he did have a possessive streak and also a violent tendency. While he slowly approached her, and she looking scared, Yugi stood boldly in front of her, shielding her from him. "She does a piece of property, jerk! She's a human being who can decide for herself!", he yelled at him. He turned and looked into her eyes, and knew on what he had to do.

We only get one chance

But nothing ties our hands

Cas wanted to stop Yugi, worried that he would be seriously hurt if he fought Lewis. But, with his goons surrounding them, escape was not an option. She put a gentle hand on Yugi's shoulders and whispered, "Be careful, Yugi.". He gave her a smile and replied, "Don't worry. I will.". When he gave her one of his trademark smiles, she always nearly melted.

'Yugi is so sweet and considerate. Also, brave and courageous! That's why I love him so much!', she thought. She remembered on how arrogant and possessive Lewis was, and soon broke up with him. When she met Yugi, they nearly clicked at the start! 'I really don't want to see you hurt, my love. Please, do what ever you have can to stay safe and in one piece.', she silently prayed as she saw Lewis stalking over to her love.

Yugi stood protective in front of Cas, when she heard her scream. He quickly turned around and saw two of the goons grab her by the arms forcefully and drew her towards them. "Hey! Take your hands off her!", he exclaimed. He tried to go over to them so he could free Cas, but it was of no use. Lewis walked quickly up to him, spun him around, and delivered a powerful right hook!

Yugi fell to the ground, a large bruise on his cheek. Cas screamed, "STOP IT!!". She was trashing now, trying to help out her love. But, more boys came and restrained her. Yugi slowly rose to his feet, only to be kicked back down by Lewis. "Heh, what a wimp.", he snorted out. He turned to Cas, strolled over to her, and put his hand on her cheek. She felt like nearly vomiting from that touch, let alone him being so near. "You could have done so much better, Cas.", he whispered sinisterly.

Cas suddenly spit in his face, a nasty snarl on. She replied venomously, "I have done better, jerk! Yugi's ten times the man that you could ever be!". He smirked at this, turned his face around a bit, and then suddenly slapped her hard! Her head snapped back, a large red mark on her left cheek. "Don't you ever talk like that to me, witch!", he said. Just then, he felt something hard tackle him from behind! It was Yugi!

"Don't you dare slap her, you piece of slime!", Yugi exclaimed. He was now pumped up, running on a fuel so great that it increased his very being 10-fold! Lewis scrambled up, very much surprised by Yugi's strength. He saw his face, and he saw the fieriest expression he had on! Even Cas was surprised by this. "How in the heck did you get so strong all of a sudden?!", he blurted out. Yugi stood proudly and replied, "Its my love for Cas, Lewis. My love for Cas gives me the strength to win!".

Yugi looked at Cas, his fiery eyes soon transforming into ones of concern and love. "Are you okay, Cas?", he asked her softly. A watery smile appeared on her face and she replied meekly, "Yes. Yes, I am.". She had never seen this side of Yugi before, as well as never heard a more profound declaration of love. 'I have got to be the luckiest girl in the universe to have his heart!', she thought.

Yugi turned back to face Lewis, a stoic look on his face. "Lewis, take your goons and leave. I do not want to hurt you, but I will if Cas is harmed once again.", he told him solemnly. Lewis then laughed, retorting, "Come on! You, hurt me?! Hahaha!". He then ran up to Yugi and laid down another punch! Yugi took it, but he did not go down. Everyone was amazed by Yugi's resilience. Yugi's head slowly aligned itself right, a slight cut on his right cheek and a small trickle of blood coming out. "What?!", Lewis exclaimed. Yugi answered, "Cas is the reason I'm hanging on.".

Running away will never make me free

And nothing we sign is any kind of guarantee.

Lewis was now boiling mad, and soon acted like a crazy man! Shouting out loud, he threw punches and kicks and body blows to the small youth. Yugi avoided them, using his small size to his advantage. Yugi knew that he grab Cas and run away from them, but the risk of her getting seriously hurt was too great. He couldn't take that chance. 'Besides, running away is not always the answer. Especially in this case!', he thought.

After fifteen minutes of trying to land a punch, Lewis stopped to catch his breath. He was panting hard, very much out of breath and energy. "H-How does that… little punk… a-avoid my attacks… that quickly?!", he asked himself. Yugi, on the other hand, just stood in front of Lewis. He wasn't tired in the least bit! He asked one more time, "Lewis, please. Take your boys and go. Leave Cas and me alone.". Fighting was never in Yugi's nature, but for Cas, he was willing to make an exception.

Yugi looked at Cas, and a warm smile spread on his face. She was still okay, the boys not doing anything to harm her. He remembered on all the times they had together; the dates, the small kisses, and also the touch. To him, just holding Cas close was like holding a piece of heaven. Her gentle touch would always make electric sparks surge throughout his entire being! Even his very soul would be on fire!

'I want her to be the very best she could be! I would never do anything to hold her back!', he thought. Cas was a very talented and gifted woman, and it showed in her marks and activities. If she was going to go for something big, he was right behind her 100%! Even if she were to go a long distance away from him, he'd give her encouragement. The only thing that would make him not depressed was the thought that she and him were one.

Lewis regained some of his stamina and attacked again! Yugi got back to work in dodging, his idea to wear Lewis completely out and force him to give up without landing a punch. 'Man, this is tougher then when Yami and I battled Marik in the Shadow Realm in the Battle City Tournament!', he thought. He remembered that day clearly, which was seven months ago. Cas was with him, and she nearly cried a waterfall when she saw Yami fall. She had known about he and Yugi, and was very much concerned with their safety. Especially with Yugi's.

After the tournament, Yami and Yugi had won. Gaining the Millenium Items and the God Cards, Yami was able to have a body of his own. After that, most of the gang went their separate ways. Yugi was all alone now, minus Cas being with him. He did not have his old friends backing him up anymore. He shook his head and thought, 'I can't be stuck in the past anymore! I'm here now, and I will take control of my life and destiny!'. He looked at his love and added, 'I just hope Cas will always be in my life and become part of my destiny.'.

{Chrous}

Yugi was wearing out as well, but Lewis was far more tired then he was. Seeing enough of this little fight, one of the boys came up behind Yugi. He was going to hit from behind with a large chain! "Yugi!! Look out!!", Cas screamed. Yugi turned around, but it was too late. The chain slammed into his upper back and head hard, making him groan in pain and crumple to the ground. The two goons were about to pounce, when a voice called out, "Hey, you kids! Cease at once!". They all turned around to see the principle and two muscular custodians!

"Guys, let's get out of here!", Lewis commanded. Without hesitation, they left Cas and Yugi, making a run for it. Unfortuantly, they didn't get far. The custodians were fast, and soon caught up with them. Grabbing them by their collars, the two hauled the boys back to the school. Cas had long since been at Yugi's side, scrambling from her position to be with him. The principal called for the nurse via his cell phone. Cas was very much crying, seeing her boyfriend down and also out.

At the nurses station, two young, beautiful nurses were finishing their treatment on Yugi. "He's got a bad sprain on his back, a fairly small slash on the cheek, a black eye, and he nearly got a concussion on the head.", one of them told Cas, who was waiting in the Waiting Room. She finished, "Just keep him in bed for two weeks, and he'll be well enough to go back to school.

She was soon allowed to go see her hero, who was still sitting down on a small table in one of the doctor's room. She saw the bandages on various parts of his body, and some tears started to well up in her eyes. "Yugi.", she whispered as she threw her arms around him. He returned the embrace, glad that Cas was alright as well. "Thank you so much, my hero.", she told him lovingly. He grinned and replied, "You're welcome, my love.".

When Yugi was permitted to leave the nurse's quarters, Cas allowed him to lean on her. He grimaced a bit, but flashed a warm smile towards her. "Thanks.", he mumbled out. Just then, they were met with the principal. He was glad that one of the highest honor student was okay. "Its good to see you on your feet, Yugi.", he told him. He added, "Also, the boys that attacked you will be suspended from this school and kept a close eye on.".

Yugi thanked him for the info, then he and Cas headed back for home. While walking towards the Game Shop first, both stayed silent for a moment. Then, when they arrived, Cas slowly started to detach from Yugi. However, he pulled her back in gently and held her close once more. "Thanks for everything, Cas.", he whispered lovingly. Slowly, as if drawn by a magnet, both leaned in and shared a sweet, but passionate kiss on the lips.

Epilogue

Two weeks had passed since the incident. Now, Yugi was nearly back at 100% health, but still had to wear a bandage on his head. Cas was very grateful for Yugi for standing up to her ex, and she showed it greatly. A week earlier, Serenity Wheeler had come back to Domino City to enroll back in high school. Joey decided to stay in Brooklyn in the U.S, and she decided to go back to Japan, thanks to her mother. When she heard what happened, she and Cas took care of him. Both loved him very much, but Yugi loved only Cas.

Now, he and her were back at her house, watching a movie together. It was The Lion King, and it was getting to the good part. The scene that played the song Can You Feel The Love Tonight? by Elton John, and it filled the room with a lovely atmosphere. Both now stared at one another, pure love and admiration in their eyes. Slowly, without even noticing, they pulled each other in a very tight embrace on the couch. Then, on cue, they kissed together. It was heaven for each of them.
