Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ High Summoner of Hope ❯ High Summoner of Hope ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Disclaimer: I own NOTHING! The idea for this story and the characters Jordyn and Nydroj, both belong to Nydroj. Sorry if I left some things out. I couldn't work with them if I did. Hope you like the story anyways. I'll include the song you sent me in the story, I hope you like it Nydroj. ^___^
Note: This story is different from what I usually write. I don't know how it will turn out, but I will do my best. In this story, some of my characters will be OOC. Also, the Millenium Blade will probably have more than one power. One is that it can go into the heart of the holder, another is that it can tansform into a staff to summon things. Other powers are currently unkown.
Uuummm....in a few stories I've read. The eye symbol on the Millenium items goes from being called the Eye of Horus to the Eye of Ra. I just call it the Eye of Ra.
And if there is dueling in this story, the IDEA for Jordyn's deck and the IDEA for the monsters contained within is from Nydroj. And I really suck at writing duels. ^o^.
Warning: This fic is rated for language and possible perverse humor.

On with the fic!.....
***Five thousand years ago***
(Just a note on what happened in the past.)
In the great land of Egypt, there lived a High Priest named Seto. He was one of the pharaoh's most trusted friends and also his cousin. Now Seto was always negative and cold to everyone. He tried to help them, but would not open up to anyone in order to let them help him. For 18 years he lived alone not knowing true happiness or love, or even the simplest friendship. The only real friend he had was his cousin Yami, the pharaoh. He was loved by many for the security he provided, and his good looks. I mean who wouldn't love the medium brown hair that looked like silk? Or his strong and cold, yet deep, blue eyes. Yet they did not like or love HIM, meerly (sp?) what he represented....power. Still, since Seto didn't know what he was missing, he was never really unhappy. Little did he know that soon things were about to change.
One day, while out for a walk in the city, he met a rather small young woman. She stood at about 5'3" and was full figured (and I don't mean fat, I mean had nice round hips, and an ample bussom, but a slender waist and long, tan legs). She had medium brown hair that hung to her shoulders and seemingly dull grey-blue eyes. She walked through the city and everyone who saw her stopped and stared. Well, the High Priest didn't know what was going on, but she certainly didn't dress like any noble woman HE'D ever seen. She wore a long, dark blue skirt that hung to her feet with slits up the sides showing her long tan legs, and the knee length, black boots she wore under it. Other than that, she wore a white top that seemed made out of a simple piece of white material that was wrapped around her torso, with sleeves that were separate from her top (think Yuna's Summoner Attire from Final Fantasy X). She walked very gracefully and held a great, golden sword on her back (think Could's Buster Blade from Final Fantasy 7) as she looked around her settings quite calmly.
Seto was very unnerved by this unusual, yet lovely woman. She walked right past him without sparing him a glance, and anyone who was from Egypt at all, would not do that because of his high rank. He angrily spun around to grab her arm, and came face to face with her glare when he did so. She pulled back roughly to grab her blade as she took a stance that meant she was ready for battle.
***Jumping ahead a bit***
That was nearly two months ago and both Seto and the young woman he had learned was named Nydroj, had become quite close. They were both cold to everyone and very negative about the world for a good while, before finally begining to open up to each other. He found out that she was a great summoner from a faraway country called Spira and that with her power, she sensed an evil force heading this way, called Yevon. That was what she was doing in Egypt. She had come to fight it and hopefully stop it here for good.
Seto was now standing in the shadows of the garden late at night watching as the young summoner walked down a nearby path as she hummed an unusual tune (think Hymn of the Faith). He didn't make his presence known, but undoubtedly, she already knew he was there. Her item, the Millenium Blade allowed her to sense the presence of anyone who held an item, and currently, the said blade was swinging freely at her side. She had drawn it for a practice battle earlier, learning new techniques and strengthening her abilities with it.
Still, that was not all Seto had seen her do that day. Earlier, just before Ra set over the far hills (sunset), he and the other holders of the Millenium items had beared witness to a summoning itself. The lady Nydroj stood in the centre of the desert with the others around her on horse back as she prepared to summon a creature of the element thunder, known as Valefor. Nydroj stood a moment in thought before raising her Blade and silently commanding it to transform into a staff. No one was surprised at this for she had shown them this ability before.
As she held the blade out before her, it began to glow a bright white and when the light finally died down, in her hands was a long, white staff with a golden top in the shape of the Eye of Ra. She lowered the staff as she bent her head down in what appeared to be a brief prayor, before raising it once again in front of her. She held it with the head pointing towards the cloudless sky and against her chest with both of her hands as she concentrated on what she wished to accomplish. After a moment, she quickly lunged backwards with her left foot pointing forwards and her left hand in front of her, pointing to the ground, and her right foot behind her and her right hand, holding the great staff, also behind her and raised above her head.
Everyone held their breath as a glowing cirle formed around her and suddenly a loud scream was heard in the formerly cloudless sky. The pharaoh and his council, all holders of Millenium items, looked up as they prepared themselves for battle, only to see a large cloud forming out of nowhere above them. They all sat and watched as a powerful creature came bursting from that cloud with it's wings wrapped around it's body as it dove toward the ground. As it got nearer to the area Nydroj was standing however, it snapped open it's wings to land gracefully beside her as it sent much sand flying all around and caused everyone to shield their eyes for a moment. Once the brief sandstorm had cleared up, they all looked to see a large bird-like creature standing next to the summoner as it looked down at her. This creature seemed to stand about 6 feet tall, and had large, brightly colored wings. It had the legs of a mammal and a heavily feathered head that lowered as Nydroj walked closer to it. Everyone gasped as she reached out, only to be awed as she started to pet the strange rainbow-colored creature, it's eyes closing a bit as it gently nuzzled her cheek.
No one had ever seen this unusual creature before and, as the pharaoh had later stated, it seemed to have no connection to the Shadow Realm. It was so ferocious and powerful, yet gently to the young woman that had summoned it. It was like it saw her as a friend or equal. This was a sight that no one was ever to forget.
Back in the garden, Seto was just making his presence known to the woman when a large shadow rose in front of her. He ran up beside her and she barely aknowledged him as she faced this thing with no fear in her turbulent blue-ish eyes. It raised itself on it's back legs to tower over both of them, yet it didn't attack. It meerly (again, sp?) stood there before them warning that a great war was coming soon and that they would have stand no chance of winning it.
Nydroj just looked at the creature with her eyes now set in an icy glare and told it to bring whatever destruction it thought it could, before swinging her sword to cut through it's mid section and causing it to vanish into mid air. Then she turned to Seto, smiled a sad smile and walked back to the palace. It would take another while before he found out that she was keeping a grave secret from him.
***2 months later***
Nydroj and Seto were enganged to marry. They had fallen in love a short while ago, and even knowing that a war was coming would not stop them from living their lives and being as happy as they could. Nydroj was often spotted walking in the garden at night with her fiancee Seto and they would just look at the stars and marvel at how peaceful everything seemed. Still, Seto knew his beloved was hiding something from him. Something serious. But he would not question it for he had come to love her determination when it came to fighting for good and living happily. He just hoped whatever it was, it wouldn't cause them grief. Sadly however, that was not meant to be.
The day of their wedding, a large number of injured soldiers came into the palace warning if a great and evil force that was approaching the castle walls. It was time. The war with the chaotic group now known as Yevon, was finally making their move. They were wanted for using forbidden summonings like the Great Chaos, that caused much death and mayhem in other countries. Everyone stopped rejoicing and immediately went to take care of their jobs. Lady Nydroj, the High Summoner of Spira, ran off to get ready for the battle, leaving her confused and worried husband-to-be, to take care of his duties as well. They met once again on the great wall and sadly looked out at the destruction before them. The once glorious city outside of the palace, now lay in ruin and many of the villagers lay dead or dying.
With tears running down her tanned cheeks, Nydroj turned to the only man she had ever loved and told him goodbye, before letting herself fall backwards off the ledge, towards the destruction below. As Seto cried out in anguish, he noticed a large, brightly colored mass of feathers, rush by him only to stop below Nydroj and catch her. It was Valefor! Riding on his back, Nydroj turned once again with helpless eyes to watch the face of her love as it grew farther and farther away. Valefor was taking her straight into the heart of the battle. It was time for her final secret to be revealed. The Final Summoning known as 'One Hope'. Sadly, she knew her fate for having to use this, but she had no other choice. Nothing else would stop this evil from continuing to destroy the world.
As she neared the heart of the evil and it's leader, Lord Seymore the High Summoner of Chaos and the leader of Yevon, she jumped off valefor's back to land with such grace on the ruin of what was once a grand home. She stood calmly on the broken roof as the lord of evil came towards her with a falsly charming smile, and just as he got near to her, she did it. She preformed the Final Summoning, using all of her strength to call an enormous, beautiful angel from the sky known as Aeris. This angel radiated a great light and had giant wings that were so white and pure, they glowed. She had long brown hair done into a rope that hung down her back and was tied with a pink ribbon, and piercing green eyes that held such sympathy. She wore a pink-ish colored dress that hung on her like a gown with a small red jacket over her shoulders (Aeris from Final Fantasy 7). This angel used the last of Nydroj's strength and the power of all the people's hope in order to call upon a devastating attack that any and all wiped evil out from the land, before disappearing once again into the sky.
With only a small amount of power left, Nydroj once again called upon Valefor to bring her back to Seto. Once there, she saw that he was unhurt and it filled her heart with a mixture of pain and happiness. Pain that she knew she was going to die, and yet happiness that she knew he would be ok. With the last bit of strength in her body, she leaned in and kissed him gently on the lips, her final gift to him was the knowledge of everything she knew. The dying summoner knew that she could trust him to do what he needed to do, and just before she closed her eyes that final time, she told him "I love you."
A week later, just as Ra was once again descending over the farthest hills, Seto walked into a grand temple that was built in honour of the sacrifice Nydroj had made, with the Millenium blade in his hands. He went to her sarcophagus and performed a spell that sealed her soul into the blade and then forced it to recede into her heart so that when she was reborn, she would have it with her and would be able to call upon it whenever she wanted. Then with a final word, he collapsed, having used the last of his strength to do the spell. He died there, beside her sarcophagus, from a broken heart. Little did either of them know, they would meet again.
***5000 years in the future, or present day Domino***
A young girl was just waking up in her new home after her first night there. Her name is Jordyn and she just moved to Domino Japan from America to live on her own in a small two-story house. As she got out of bed, Jordyn looked at the time and saw that she had plenty of time before she had to begin getting ready for school. She slowly got up and streatched, snapping her muscles and beginning to feel alive. Jordyn paded over to the bathroom and looked into the mirror, getting read to start her daily, morning routine. She smiled a bit at her appearance. She had shoulder length brown hair that was a bit messed up from sleeping, and large grey-blue eyes that were still a touch clouded. She was also a bit short for her age at being 5'3" at the age of 16. She was currently wearing a pair of baggy, black sweat pants and a light grey, spagetti strap t-shirt, for her pajamas. Yawning, and stretching and forcing herself awake, Jordyn set about her morning routine to get read for her first day at Domino High.
Once she was ready, she sat at the kitchen table, after alread having eaten, and frowned as she thought of having to go to a new school with so many people she didn't know. She had a nack for misunderstanding people and making more enemies than friends, but it really wasn't her fault. She had this disability that made it difficult to read people's emotions from their faces, and she was always nervous in a crowd to begin with. Jordyn sighed as she thought about how many people she would end up having hate her by the end of the day. She knew she shouldn't think like this, but having only one true friend made it difficult to see life as anything but hell. Yes, Jordyn had a friend. One that has been with her for a few years now. Her name is Nydroj and she's Jordyn's yami. These two met about 4 years ago when Jordyn was only 12. She had been digging in her father's attic when she stumbled across an ancient chest, and when she opened it, she had seen a beautiful golden sword. Not thinking that it might be dangerous, or that it might have been strange the way it seemed to radiate a light of it's own, Jordyn had moved in and picked up this huge blade, with little to no trouble at all despite it's size. I mean, this sword was bigger than her!
Suddenly a bright light had surounded her and when she was able to see again, in front of her stood a beautiful young woman that looked exactly like her! The really scarey thing at that time was that poor Jordyn could see right through the woman and this really freaked her out. Before she could run, the voice of the woman froze her to the spot she was standing. Jordyn found out that this woman's name was Nydroj, she was once a High Summoner of Hope, and her soul had been sealed into the great sword until her reincarnation came along and was able to pick it up. Yet, that's all she knew, for as she explained to Jordyn, she lost her memories and felt that this young girl was the only one she could trust. Jordyn thought about that for a moment. She really didn't want to let anyone close to her, and she was always known as a loner, but really, she wanted a friend and that was what this ghost was offering her. Friendship. So with a barely noticeable nod of her head, Jordyn accepted Nydroj and the two of them became fast friends. Jordyn had been a quick study and had learned about all of her abilities very quickly. She was able to breathe underwater without the use of gills or other items to help. She was able to summon monsters known as Aeons, and had a power to heal. The sword that now lay within her heart gave her the power to make it appear whenever she wanted, and turn it into a staff, and it also gave her the power to sense evil and the presence of other item holders.
Besides all of these powers, Nydroj had shown Jordyn to a smaller chest that contained a deck of cards expertly painted and that which held the souls of her guardians from her past as well as the Aeons. This was a new type of duel deck and would be Jordyn's. It was called the Summoning deck.
Now Jordyn was just setting out her door to start her trek to school. It wasn't a long way off, yet she wanted to get there early and didn't want to be caught in the crowds later. She walked slowly and glared at anyone who stared at her for wearing a guy's uniform. She couldn't help it if she hated the skirt the girls had to wear. She was glaring at random people when a large white limo sped by causing Jordyn to stop in confusion. /What was that?/ She thought to herself...or so she thought.
[What was what?] Nydroj questioned, materializing beside her in her spirit form. She smiled a bit when Jordyn jumped and scowled at her, before speaking once again. [You should realize by now that I do that a lot Jordyn. I am your yami. Besides, you need to...what was that phraze?....oh yes! You need to losen up!]
The young light didn't even respond to that comment. Her yami had been trying to get her to 'losen up' for a while now. Always going on about how life wasn't always in one color. The thing is, Jordyn was beginning to try listening to her, but it wasn't as easy as her yami liked to think it was. Still, she knew she couldn't fault her yami for being so positive. She was used to it by now. (I just didn't realize you were awake, or listening to my thoughts) Jordyn replied quietly. She wasn't going to snap at her only friend. In fact, most of the time, they enjoyed play fighting. (It's just...that limo that sped by. I felt a strange...presence in it. A familiar one.) Jordyn was still standing still, only jumping a bit or turning to glare when someone accidentlly brushed against her.
Nydroj noticed Jordyn's discomfort and gently pushed her to resume walking to school, speaking at the same time. [I don't know. I was in my soulroom and didn't feel it. If it didn't feel evil then maybe it was someone you knew or maybe they held an item] She replied thoughtfully as she continued thinking on the subject. Jordyn however, didn't want to think about it now, so she made a dismissive noise and walked on, purposely putting it out of her mind.
***At School***
-Jordyn's Pov-
I Finally made it to school, only to see the strange limo pull up. I stopped a few feet from it to watch as the door opened and a really tall man with short, medium brown hair, and icy blue eyes, stepped out to look quickly around him before walking into the school. I couldn't help but blush a bit as that strange sense of familiarity came over me. Had I met him before? I didn't know. He seemed so cold, like I am. I wonder why he appears so jaded.
Sighing, I continued into the yard to come face-to-face with a small group of teenagers about my age. There were 5 of them, but only one girl. She looked a touch like me with short, shoulder length, medium brown hair and light, friendly blue eyes. One guy looked like he belonged in elementary school. He stood about an inch taller than me and still shorter than his friends. He had spiked, multi-colored hair, and huge, innocent violet eyes. His hair was so weird. It was black in the back with purple tips and he had blonde bangs that were wavy and seemed to frame his round, child-like face, and it was shaped similar to a star. The weirdest thing about him was that he wore a large, golden, upside-down pyramid with the Eye of Ra on it. What really freaked me out was that he and the guy with the long white hair both had an energy coming from them that seemed to tug me in their direction. Resisting the urge to walk over, and looking at the others, I noticed that there was a honey-eyed blonde that was laughing really loudly, and a brunette with pointy hair and brown eyes beside him who looked like he was about to slap his friend. The last person in the group was the guy with the long white hair, and other than that tugging sensation exuding (sp?) from him, and the golden ring he wore around his neck, he looked perfectly normal and probably really nice, if his eyes were any indication. Yet still...I felt a strong sense of evil from him. I didn't know what it was, but I sensed that it was him...yet it wasn't.
Shrugging off the feeling of wanting to go over and introduce myself, I slowly walked past them as I filed away the information about that weird energy for later. Nydroj would want to know. As I was walking past them I heard a voice that seemed to be calling out to me. I stopped mid stride and turned around to see the young boy with the spikey hair looking at me curiously and asking me something.
"Hi. Sorry to bug you, but I was wondering if your new here?" He asked quietly. He seemed pretty timid, and his friends all eyed me strangely. I really hated being the centre of attention and I couldn't tell what they were thinking by their faces. The only emotions I knew how to read were happiness, sadness and anger. Feeling somehow unreasonably angry, I glared coldly at the boy and almost smirked as he shrunk back in what seemed to be fear. "Listen. I don't know how you are or what you want, but I don't need your pity or 'friendship' " I spat out venemously. Mentally I flinched when I saw a deep sadness appear in his eyes, but I ignored it and turned to walk into the school. I was always like this. Chasing away friends before I could explain that I had a mild case of Autism (I don't know much about Autism, I hope this seems like something it would make a person do) that made me act this way.
As I entered the school, still mentally berating myself for being such an ass, I looked around myself to see a long hallway with lockers adorning each wall. Seeing the sign for the office at the end of that hallway, I started to walk down it when I noticed the same blue-eyed brunette stadning by his locker. I only glanced at him briefly as I was about to walk by, but the sound of an obviously angry voice behind me caused me to halt almost right beside him. Turning around, I saw the brunette come running up to me with his face red and his eyes flashing with unrestrained anger. He stopped beside me to catch his breath a moment as he glared at me and I glared back. I could have been nice to him now that I was away from all those people and not the center of attention, but the look in his eyes made my blood boil. He wanted to fight and it made ME want to fight!
Once the guy caught his breath, he stood up straight to tower over me as he began to yell. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" She shouted, earning curious looks from everyone in the hallway. I almost flinched. To be honest, I was planning to apologize to the boy the next time I saw him, but this guy was seriously begging for a beating! I swear...he almost made me want to pull out my Millenium blade. Of course, as soon as I thought that, I felt Nydroj tense up and she appeared next to me, once again in her ghost form. Within a split second, she had looked through my memories and found out what had happened as well as how I felt about it. Still, she said nothing, meerly (I won't keep saying it...am I spelling this wrong?) stood beside me and watched my reaction with her stance showing she was ready to step in if she needed to.
I looked up into the brunette's furious eyes sadly as I fought not to let myself get angry. That caused him to just stare at me a moment before once again opening his big mouth as he didn't even seem to notice his friends running up behind him. "YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO YELL AT YUGI LIKE THAT!" Then with a slightly calmer voice, he continued. "He was just tryin' to be nice ya know. Help out the obviously new person?" He was once again glaring and I was once again the center of attention. The one thing I REALLY hated. I tried to control my temper and I'm sure that it was fairly obvious to everyone around me as I clenched and unclenched my fists and took deep and shaky breaths. Still...it was a battle I was loosing.
The brunette suddenly stood up straight with a smirk on his face and something told me that my first day was going to be hell. I knew something bad was coming. Still, I looked up at him and glowered as angrily as I could in the mood I was in and I saw everyone except this weirdo guy flinch. Out of the corner of my eye, the blue-eyed stranger stood, leaning against his locker, obviously enjoying the fight and I once again had that nagging feeling of familiarity come over me and I looked to Nydroj to see her standing stock still in what appeared to be shock as she too looked at him, before returning to the blade. I made a mental note to ask her later what that was all about, but for now I had an asshole to deal with. I turned back to my foe just in time to hear him say "Man....for someone so short, you sure have a huge temper!" before he shook his head and began turning to walk off.
I didn't give him the chance. My control snapped and I found myself lunging out and grabbing him by the collar as I secretly called my blade into my hands. I forcefully turned him around, ignoring all the shocked gasps and screams as I placed my sword against his throat. I scowled at him again before finally speaking, my anger controlling what my mouth spit out. "Who the HELL do you think YOU are? You know NOTHING about me and you DARE insult me?" Pushing the blade a bit harder against his throat, I felt a strange energy from next to me and turned my head a bit to see the boy called Yugi glowing briefly before opening his now crimson eyes. This Yugi was different however as he stood slightly taller and his hair was longer and more spiked. In my head, I heard my yami gasp in surprise before I felt myself losing strength. Before the darkness over took my mind completely, I noticed that the blue-eyed man was staring at me in open shock, then....nothing. I blacked out hoping against hope that Nydroj would help me.
-Nydroj's Pov-
I was asleep in my soulroom when an overwhelming sense of rage overcame me. I woke up to see images of a stranger with blue eyes and I felt cold inside. The stranger's face sparked a memory that I had thought lost forever.

I had just entered Egypt and was walking through a large bazarre when I noticed many people staring at me and another man a little distance away from me. The only difference was that they were bowing to him, and by the way he was dressed, it seemed he was someone of high rank. I discreetly checked out his appeareance and bit back a giggle as I noticed that he was pretty cute, but he seemed so uptight. I wasn't one to talk though, I was pretty cold to everyone too. This man was so much taller than me and he held in his hand a long, golden rod with an eye symbol on it that was exactly like my Millenium blade. I felt a strange tugging sensation and remembered what my mentor Yunalesca had said to me.
"Nydroj, this is the Millenium blade and it is now yours. It has the ability to sense other items linked to it, all called the Millenium items. They are called the rod, necklace, ankh, scales, puzzle, eye and ring. Whenever you are near any of the items, you will sense a strange tugging sensation that will let you know. Be careful, I know not who has these items and they could be evil"
Shrugging that thought off, I continued to check this stranger out. He wore a long white robe with a gold-trimmed, blue top and a headress that was tall and blue with a golden serpent wrapped around the base of it. His apparel was intriguing as it showed that he was a priest in the pharaoh's court, but it was his eyes that got to me. They were so cold, like my own. Deciding to ignore the stranger who was obviously checking me out at that time, I strode purposely by him only to be grabbed by the arm and spun around. This made me angry as no one grabbed High Summoner Nydroj like that. Spinning around, I broke free of his hold in order to grab the hilt of my blade and take a stance ready for battle.

Well...it was something, but it wasn't much. So I had known this man in a previous life. It still left me with too many unanswered questions. I was watching from my soulroom, what my naive hikari would do, when that stupid boy said something nasty to her I knew she would kill him if I didn't stop her. I was just about to take control of her body when I felt a strange and powerful aura nearby. My light must have felt it too for her head turned in the direction the power came from and I saw something else that sparked a memory. A fairly short, but still taller than Jordyn, man with long spiked hair in three colors, with crimson eyes. I gasped as yet another memory came rushing back.

I was standing in a large room in front of a man on a throne. This was the chosen pharaoh, the current ruler of Egypt. Next to me was the tall man who had grabbed me, and next to the pharaoh were 5 other people. I felt a similar tuging sensation from them all and knew that each was a holder of an item. This meant that all 8 items were currently in one room. Not a smart move by far, and this angered me. How could they be so careless with items that held the power to protect the world or plunge it into darkness?
Taking a step forward, I glared openly at the spikey-headed young man on the throne and immediately noticed everyone of his protectors taking on a defensive position. Ignoring them, I looked back to the pharaoh to speak for the first time since I had seen ANY of these people. "What in the name of Shiva is going on?" I yelled. "Why are all the items in one place? Don't you realize how dangerous that is?" I stopped to see that everyone was either looking at me in shock, anger, or confusion. It was the pharaoh who spoke up first.
"We keep all the items in one place because it is necessary to protect the kingdom." He answered calmly, looking at me in confusion. That was acceptable I guess. "I do not know how you know of the Millenium items, but from what my priests have told me, you seem not to be evil." Then he smiled as he stood up and walked forward a bit, ignoring the surprised and concerned words from his most trusted advisor. "Tell me....who is Shiva?"
This made me pale a bit as I realized I had unintentionally revealed that I was from no normal country. I stood quietly, as I was confused as to what I should say. This didn't seem to phaze the pharaoh one bit as he walked right up to me and bowed in respect. I automatically bowed back, though my bow of respect was different from theirs (think how Yuna and everyone bows to show respect in Final Fantasy X).
"It is alright. You don't have to tell me. I understand that you are probably uncertain about opening up to strangers. I am Pharaoh Yami and the man who brought you to me is called High Priest Seto." Then he turned to name off his other guards. Isis, Shada, Mahado, Akunadin, and Karim.

Once I regained control of my thoughts, I immediately took over Jordyn's body in order to deal with her problems. I know that everyone noticed the change. I may have looked exactly like my hikari, other than the color of my eyes, my air and attitude were completely different. The first thing I did was hide my sword before erasing the minds of everyone but the brunette, his friends, including Yami, and the blue eyed man I remembered as Seto. Then I turned and began apologizing and explaining everything. I knew we wouldn't have the time needed to go over everything before the bell rang, so I suggested meeting after school in order to explain everything to them. Hesitently, they agreed. I had already explained that Jordyn had a disorder that made her act so rashly and luckily for me, Yugi was an understanding person and with his persuasion, his friends learned to accept it as well.
Just before the bell rang, I left the group to enter the office, and when no one was looking, I gave over control of the body to Jordyn, who was relieved, but not pleased at all at what I had done, yet she said nothing, knowing that in the end, I had done the right thing. I explained that she would be going to explain everything to those teens after school and after a mental groan of frustration, she agreed.
-Normal Pov-
Once Jordyn got her schedule, She headed off to her first class, fear and uncertainty cluttering up her mind as she went. Once she reached the door to her Algebra class, she went in the open door and immediately, the teacher was at her side asking why she was there. Being aware of being watched really didn't sit well with Jordyn, but she said nothing as she was led to the front desk where the teacher called for the attention of her students and asked the poor girl to introduce herself. Swallowing and taking a deep breath, Jordyn took a small step forward and looked at the ground as she spoke.
"My name is Jordyn and I am a transfer student from America. I'm 16 and I love duel monsters, but I'm not very good. My hobbies are writing, singing, playing piano and playing duel monsters....I guess that's it." Stepping back beside the teacher's desk she waited to be seated, but she didn't have to wait long. After a very brief moment of thought, the tacher seated her next to a blonde man named Joey Wheeler. Looking up, it was all Jordyn could do not to wince as she noticed the same blone she saw earlier. As she looked at him, she noted he gave her an uncomfortable look before looking once again down at his work and raising his hand when the tacher asked him to. Sighing inaudibly, Jordyn went and took her seat next to the tall blonde, hoping he wouldn't talk to her at all. Her hopes went unanswered after all, as he momentarily began speaking to her in a quiet tone.
"Hey. I heard about yer disability. Man...I thought you were just anotha jerk like Kaiba. I'm sorry." And he really did look sad as he said that. It made me think. Nydroj was always saying that there were nice people out there, but part of the reason I had become so jaded was because I had always run into the mean ones. Still...I wasn't ready to let down my guard. I DID however decide to TRY to be nice. So I looked him in the eye and spoke back. "I am really sorry about what happened before. Yes, I don't like being the center of attention with a lot of people around and I just have a hard time dealing with a large number of people. Plus...I REALLY don't like being reminded of my height." Jordyn let out a tiny smile at that comment. It was one of the reasons she attacked a guy back in America. He'd called her short and it really pissed her off. She'd punched him in the face and kicked him in the stomache, apparently breaking a few ribs and his nose in the process. It did make many people leave her alone though, but something about these people was different. She actually felt like she could trust them. Then something he said hit her. "You said 'like Kaiba. Who's Kaiba?' "
Once Jordyn had said that name, Joey turned to glare at someone across the room before he spoke. "See that brunette with tha laptop? THAT'S tha jerk Kaiba. He hates everyone." Jordyn turned to see who he was talking about and was shocked when she saw the blue-eyed boy she saw earlier. This was Kaiba? This was the jerk? Turning back the Joey, Jordyn couldn't help but ask "Why's that?" and almost jumped when he growled. /What?/ She thought? /What did I say?/
Instead of answering, Joey turned back to his work with a mumbled "forget it. I'll explain later" This angered her because she wanted to know, but she just took a deep breath before once again sparing a quick glance at the guy called Kaiba, only to let out a tiny squeak she was glad that no one heard, because he was staring at her strangely, like he recognized her from somewhere. Jordyn was glad for her hair, because it hid her eyes from his sight, so he didn't know she was looking at him. She subtly watched him for a moment as she saw his eyebrow raise, letting her know he knew she was staring at him, before she turned back to her desk and did her work with a slight blush at being caught. The rest of the class was spent trying to focus on her work, which became very hard to do when her seatmate Joey fell asleep and began to snore and yell at Kaiba in his dreams, making the entire class laugh at him, except for the teacher who promptly walked over to him, leaned over his desk, and screamed "MR. WHEELER! WAKE UP!" This woke him up, but unfortunately it scared him so bad, he let out a yell before jumping up and falling over his desk. For once, Jordyn didn't mind having people looking her way, because she knew she wasn't the center of attention this time. She just smiled a bit at his antics before turning her atention back to her work. The teacher would have said more, but the timely ring of the end-of-class bell interrupted her and before she could speak to Joey, he was up and out of the room.
***At lunch***
Jordyn had been walking around outside when she came up to a lonely bench sitting out behind the school, under the shade of an old Willow tree. She sat on the bench and checked out the huge field around her as she just relaxed. She already finished her lunch and was hoping to just relax in piece and quiet before having to return to the hell known as school.
Sitting for a moment alone. she slowly closed her mind to the world to speak mentally with her yami, who showed Jordyn her memories and she watched as Jordyn was shocked to see those people she had met today, in her yami's past, which had taken place over 5000 years ago. In shock, she opened her eyes to find that she was no longer alone on the bench. Taking a quick glance beside her, she noticed that Kaiba had come to sit beside her, but he wasn't looking at her or making any attempt to talk. He was just working on his laptop. Looking once again in front of her, Jordyn remembered what Joey had said.
"He hates everyone"
This comment made Jordyn want to cry. This man was very handsome and he seemed exactly like Seto from the past. She also knew that she was exactly like nydroj from the past. This made her think. /Will the past repeat itself? The evil was supposed to be beaten...but is it?/ She knew something horrible had happened, but she had no idea what. Lost in her own thoughts, Jordyn didn't hear that the man next to her was speaking. In fact, she didn't snap out of her trance until she felt a tap on her shoulder. Shaking her head with tears in her eyes, she turned her head to see who had tapped her, only to look into ice blue eyes. Blinking she just looked at Kaiba curiously. Why was he looking at her strangely again? She didn't know what was in his eyes, but it was strange to see him looking at her with his eyes somewhat softer than she had seen in class. Looking away from him, Jordyn once again turned her attention to the field in front of her and for some strange reason, she had the urge to sing, so she did.
This was a song she had learned from her yami a while ago. She didn't say anything about it but that it was called the Hymn of the fayth and that it was a powerful song to bond you closer to your Aeons. Closing her eyes, Jordyn stood up and walked a few steps away until she was walking towards a nearby pond. She stepped over any branches or other obstacles that were in her way until she stood at the edge of the pond. Resisting the urge to walk out onto the water, she stood by the edge of the pond as she opened her mouth and sang, all the time being aware of being watched.

I E YU INO BO ME NORE N MI NEYO JU YO GOHA SE TE KA NA EKU TA MA E

Then she repeated the phraze she had just sung with even more passion in her voice.

I E YU INO BO ME NORE N MI NEYO JU YO GOHA SE TE KA NA EKU TA MA E

Once the brief song of prayor was done, Jordyn turned to walk back to the school to see Kaiba looking at her with his eyes wide and his mouth open. Once he saw her looking at him, he closed his mouth and smiled a bit before closing up his laptop and walking away. This surprised her quite a bit. She didn't expect the man to even pay attention to her, let alone look like that. Secretly, she hoped he liked the song. Sighing a bit, she also walked back into the school to finish the day without any more mishaps.
***After school***
Jordyn was just exiting the school when she saw the five people she had seen earlier, standing on the front steps seemingly waiting for someone or something. Going home would mean walking past them, but as she drew near, they all turned to face her, and this made her nervous. Once again she was the center of attention, but these were only five people, so she managed to deal with it and walked up to them. She looked at all their faces and knew that even though it appeared as though Yugi and Joey understood and accepted her problems, the others wouldn't. Tea openly glared at her, and Tristand just carefully stayed well away from her. Sighing and smiling sadly, Jordyn walked up to Yugi and looked up into his eyes. She took a deep breath and said. "Uuummm....I'm really sorry about before. I guess my yami already explained everything to you, but I really am sorry. I know you were just trying to help and I really felt bad for what I said, but I was too scared to come over and apologize. Then everything with your friend..." She slowly looked over and saw that Tristan still had a mark on his throat from where she had her sword pressed up against him. She slowly walked over and noticed that he flinched, but pretended she didn't as she came to a stop about an inch from him. She also looked up into his eyes before making her apology. "I never meant to attack you, it's just that I really don't like being reminded of my height. Sorry."
Sighing deeply, Jordyn knew she would have to explain why she had a yami so she slowly walked back to the now empty school and took a seat on the steps while she thought of how she was supposed to explain this. After a moment, she just decided to jump into an explanation. Sitting on the steps, she began telling them the tale of how she got her item, met her yami and how she figured out about her powers. She finished up her tale with an explanation about her cards with gasps from everyone when she mentioned that hers was a Summoning deck.
As soon as she said that, Yugi's puzzle glowed once again and Yami stood there. This time however, it didn't surprise Jordyn who remembered that the ancient pharaoh loved games. She just looked him in his crimson eyes and waited for the challenge she knew was coming. And indeed, after a moment, he challenged her to a duel to see how well she dueled. She agreed and they both went over to a nearby picnic table to lay out their cards.
(OK...My FIRST attempt at a dueling scene...please be gentle....-_-U...I'll probably give Yami his regular cards and maybe some new ones, but since I don't know much of anything about dueling, I may change the effects of the cards....I do NOT own anything by the way... )
After shuffling each other's decks they sat facing each other, and began with 4000LP each, and both drew 5 cards. Jordyn looked, and in her hand were Valefor the Aeon of Thunder with 2000Atk/2000Dfs points. The card depicted a large rainbow-colored bird that stood tall and proud, with bolts of lightning behind it. Next there was a Lulu card with 2400Atk/1850Dfs points and on the card was depicted a lovely young woman with long black hair pulled back into a high pony tail and done up in tiny braids. She had crimson eyes and wore a long black dress that showed a lot of cleavage and had buckles on the front of the skirt, and she held a moogle doll. Then there was a Pilgrimage magic card that brings up the attack of every Aeon on the field by 500points. This picture showed Aeons fighting monsters in a rocky place. There was a Strength Sphere magic card that brought up the attack points of any and all guardians on the field by 1000points, which depicted a red sphere that glowed as it sat in the hands of a human, and finally there was the Haste magic card that let any of Jordyn's monsters attack on her opponent's turn. This card showed a golden ghostly clock that was over the head of an Aeon. Indeed, this was a good hand, yet it was Yami who would start the duel.
He looked at his hand a moment before pulling a card out and putting it down sideways to indicate a monster in defense mode and then he ended his turn. It seemed the great King of Games was going easy on his opponent. This made Jordyn smirk as she decided to take the initiative. Looking at her opponent, she made her move.
" I place two cards face down and play Valefor in attack mode. I attack your face down card. Sonic Wings attack!" And he flipped his card to show an Element Magician (1500Atk/1200Dfs), before placing it in his graveyard. "I end my turn"
Yami looked wide-eyed at her card. It seemed he'd never seen anything like it. He turned back to his deck and drew a card before taking one out of his hand to play face down, also in defence. "I end my turn" he spoke quietly. Jordyn guessed he didn't have anything in his hand that could defeat Valefor.
Jordyn looked to her deck and pulled out a card and smiled. She had pulled out her Tidus card and he was one of the strongest cards in her deck. As long as she had at least one other guardian in her hand or on the field, she could play him right away. His card showed a man with short, ragged blonde hair, dressed in black and yellow, holding a large sword that had a blue blade that seemed to sparkle in the light. The background was a large ocean with a small island. He had 3000Atk/3400Dfs points to his name.
Looking at her hand, Jordyn pulled out her Lulu card and her Strength Sphere magic card. Placing her Lulu card, along with her Tidus card in attack mode, Jordyn then said "Now I play Strength Sphere the magic card. This card will raise the attack of my guardians by 1000 giving Lulu 3400Atk and Tidus 4000Atk points. This is enough to wipe out your life points. I attack your face-down monster with Lulu. Firaga attack!"
With a small smirk, Yami flipped his card over to show Hyozanryu (2100Atk/2800Dfs) and told Jordyn "The flip effect of this card is I get to chose which of your monsters I can destroy immediatley. I choose your Tidus card." Then, as Jordyn scolwed, but placed her card in the graveyard, he too placed his card in the graveyard.
Jordyn then said "I still have my Valefor and use my Pilgrimage magic card to raise his attack by 500 points. Now I attack your lifepoints directly. Sonic Blast!" and Tea who had been keeping record of LP wrote it down. Yami was now down to 1500LP while Jordyn was still at 4000. " I end my turn" she said with a grin. Hey, this was fun!
Yami's eyes darkened for a moment before he pulled out a card and his look brightened. "I play pot of greed" he said. "This card allows me to draw 3 more cards (is it three?)" and he did. Looking at his hand, he pulled out a card and placed it on the field saying "I play Dark Hole, destroying all the monster cards on your side of the field." and Jordyn placed all the cards she had on the field, in the graveyard, with a small glare. "Now I play Flash Assailant (2000Atk/2000Dfs points) in attack mode. He receives 400 extra Atk and Dfs points for every card in my hand, and since I am holding 4 cards, he receives 1600 extra points." and his grin turned into a real smile as he then said "I attack your lifepoints directly and end my turn."
Tea scribbled down that Yami was at 1500LP and Jordyn was at 400LP.
Jordyn once again glared at Yami, and noticed how his smile faded and he looked saddened (he was hurt). Then she pulled out a card to see it was an Ultimate Treasure magic card. It showed a large treasure chest overflowing with gold and jewels. She looked Yami in the eyes before saying " I play Ultimate Treasure. This magic card lets me take 5 cards from the top of my deck." Once again, her hand was a good one. She had a Life magic card which showed a white pheonix feather. This card acted a lot like Monster Reborn, allowing her to bring back any card that had been sent to the graveyard. Then she had a Holy magic card that had a picture of a ring of beads made out of light, surrounding a human-shaped shadow. This card lets her do 500 points of direct damage to her opponent's lifepoints. She held a Shiva Godess of Ice card with a picture of a lovely woman with blue skin and long, thick blue hair, that was dressed scantily. Her status was 3000Atk/1500Dfs points, and an Ifrit card that showed a huge monster made of fire and rock. He had 2500Atk/1500Dfs. And finally, the last card she picked was a Life Sphere magic card. It brings up the Atk points of any and all Aeons AND Guardians by 1000. It shows a large white orb entering an Aeon.
Grinning broadly, Jordyn pulled her Shiva and Ifrit cards out and layed them on the field. "I play these two monsters in attack mode, but that's not all..." pulling out the Life Sphere magic card she placed it down face up. " Also play Life Sphere magic card. It brings up the attack of both my Aeon cards by 1000 points giving Ifrit 3500Atk and Shiva 4000Atk" Looking Yami in the eyes, she noticed that he seemed angry, but she ignored it. "I attack your Flash Assailant with Ifrit. Hellfire attack!" Jordyn watched as Yami placed his card in the graveyard before saying "I now attack the rest of your lifepoints directly with Shiva. Diamond Dust Attack"
Yami took a deep breath before once again looking up and smiling at Jordyn. "Excellent duel. I hope for a rematch someday. I must admit. I've never heard of these cards before, but they certainly are strong."
Jordyn nodded briefly and began picking up her cards. She'd almost had her cards completely gathered when three fell out of her hands and landed in front of Yami who was still seated at the table. Reaching out slowly, he took the cards and looked at him. What he saw shocked him. In his hands, he held a Summoner Yuna card with a lovely young woman who looked very similar to Jordyn on it. She held a staff in her hands and in the background were all the Aeons and Guardians he had seen in the duel, and more. Next there was the Summoner's Rhapsody magic card. It had a picture of a human-shaped shadow with a small tendril of enegery going into the cards they held, and Finally, the card that shocked him the most was the High Summoner of Hope card. This card showed an image of....NYDROJ! She was smiling and had 4500Atk/4000Dfs points. Turning to Jordyn, he held up the cards in his hands and asked, "What is the meaning of this?" His tone showig he was not pleased.
Jordyn was just looking through her cards, completely oblivious that any were missing, until she heard that tone. Blinking rapidly, she looked up into the clearly angry eyes of the anicent pharaoh and then down to his hands. She gasped in shock when she noticed that he held hercards in his hands. Realizing what he must have meant, Jordyn took a deep breath before opening her mouth to speak.
"Those are my rarest cards. Despite what it looks like, Nydroj is not trapped in that card. That is a special ability of hers. She created a card with many special abilities, that showed her on it. It's supposed to be used to negate normal attacks on any monster including itself, when placed in attack mode. It also powers up all Guardian and Aeon cards by 500 points and as you can see, it has 4500Atk/4000Dfs. Before I can summon it, I must have the Summoner Yuna card in my hand as well at the High Summoner of Hope card. The Yuna card is used to strengthen all Aeons by 200 points and is also a monster card with 2000Atk/1000Dfs points. When two guardians are placed on the field with her, they power her up by 1000 Atk and 2000Dfs points. And finally, the Summoner's Rhapsody card is used to transfer as many lifepoints from me into my monsters to increase their attack by that same amount." Jordyn took a deep breath. That was a lot to say. Looking once again into Yami's eyes, she couldn't tell what he was feeling, so she quickly reached out and snatched her cards before once again putting them into her deck and running off.
***At Home***
-Jordyn's Pov-
Once I managed to get changed out of my uniform and put my stuff away, I went into the kitchen to grab a big slice of chocolate cake and a glass of milk. I went into the livingroom and ate my snack in piece while looking at the table in front of me. On it were my poem books as well as songs I have memorized and the songs I wrote to play on my piano. Finishing up my cake and downing my milk, I walked over to the piano and sat on the bench just staring at it. Today had been aweful. Sure, MAYBE I made some friends, but it's all so hard to get used to. I knew I had to work on my anger. I'd gone and pulled out my blade in front of so many people, just because some guy called me short! I shook my head as I found my thoughts going back to the time spent under the Willow. That man...Kaiba. Is he really Seto? I mean I found out his name is Seto Kaiba, but couldn't it all just be a big coincedance? I frowned as I recalled his face to my singing. My family told me I had a beatiful voice, but I've never sang in front of anyone before. I was always too afraid and nervous. So what made me sing in front of him?
Nydroj finally made her appearence since this morning. She stood beside me, just looking peacefully before looking at me. She knew I told them everything and she didn't mind. She may not have had her memories, but something told her these people could be important, and if for nothing else, they could be the key to unlocking her memories.
Going back to the couch, I sat on one side as my yami sat beside me. We just looked around the small room as we each thought our own private thoughts. It was Nydroj who spoke up first.
Well Hikari, how did everything go today?]
This surprised me. Didn't she already know? I turned to look at her with a look of surprise on my face and asked (You mean you don't know?) Then I decided to teast a little. (Come on. I thought you knew everything.)
Nydroj sighed and looked at her light with a slightly amused smile before replying. [No. I don't know everything. Only when I read your mind and look through your emeories do I know what's happening. I don't do that often. Only when the situation calls for it.] She smiled as she said that. She knew how important my privacy was when it came to my thoughts.
I smiled back before explaining everything. I frowned when I came to the part about my racing off from Yami after telling him about my rarest cards. I kind of felt bad that I didn't tell him about my God card. I reached for my deck and pulled it out. Sorting through it, I sighed as I came across it. Pulling it out from my deck, I held it in one hand as I explained that I didn't tell anyone about it. Looking at it, the card showed a beautiful woman with long, medium brown hair and piercing, but friendly green eyes. She wore a long pink dress with a small red jacket over it and she had a matching pink ribbon in her hair. The card was called Aeris the Angel of Hope. She had 5000Atk and 3700Dfs points to her name, but if there were any light monsters on the field, they would raise her attack and defence by 200 points each for each monster. Also, if there were any dark monsters on the field, having her card in play would weaken them by 500 points to both their Atk and Dfs. Her attacks were called Hope of The People and One Hope, but it took almost all of my strength to call the second one out. No one knew why, not even Nydroj. It was simply a card I couldn't use unless I really had to.
My yami and I sat there on the couch talking for hours, her in her old clothes from the past. A white piece of material that wrapped around her neck and torso, and a deep blue skirt with knee high boots under it, and me in my pjs. I began to get tired and looked at the clock to see that it was 11pm. I decided to call it a night and bid Nydroj a goodnight before going to my room and climbing under the covers. I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
***Next Day at School***
-Normal Pov-
Jordyn was in her first period sitting beside Joey once again. She was writing in her book when he decided to start whining again. Turning to Jordyn, Joey poked her gently with his pencil (MAN that sounds wrong! LOL), receiving a glare, but he ignored it as he pointed to the tacher. "Man. Does she HAVE ta give so much work?" He whine quietly, earning a small scowl from his seat partner. "It's like she's out ta get me or somethin'"
Jordyn didn't like being interrupted from her work just to listen to someone groan about the teacher being unfair. She was about to say something when she had an eerie feeling of being watched, so with another glare in his general direction, she turned to discreetly find out who was watching her. Using her hair as a mask to hide her eyes, she scanned the room to find Kaiba looking at her. She decided to screw subtlety and looked right at him for a moment, and almost smirked when she saw him blush a bit, before he turned once again to his work.
Returning her attention to her work, she was once again poked and turned to see Joey grinning at her as he lowered his pencil back to the paper he'd been doodling on all during class. Getting angry now, Jordyn openly glared at him daring him to do it again, before asking "What?"
Either he was really stupid or he chose to ignore her warning glance, because still grinning, he decided to tease her. "So...you got tha hots for Kaiba do ya? Seto and Jordyn, sitting in a tree..." but before he could finish it, Jordyn looked back at her work as she tried to control her temper. She was about ready to scream at him, for being such an idiot, but chose to try to focus on her work. After a moment though, it seemed Joey had decided he wanted to die, because he poked her again.
Spinning to face him directly, Jordyn felt her control snap as she heard herself screaming "GOD-DAMMIT JOEY! IF YOU POKE ME WITH THAT THING ONE MORE TIME, I SWEAR I'LL BREAK IT IN HALF AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!" Jordyn finished shouting when she felt everyone's attetion turning to them and then all of a sudden, the entire class began laughing. She looked around to see some people snickering and others rolling around on the floor laughing and clutching their sides. It was the teacher who broke up this laughing fit. She walked over to their desks and snapped at them both.
"What is going on?" She demanded angrily. Jordyn was about to say something when she heard Kaiba speak up from across the classroom.
"I'm sure you heard her. The mutt was poking her with his....." pausing a moment, he allowed himself to smirk as he then finished the statement to the red-faced teacher. "...pencil."
When he said this, Jordyn immediately knew why everyone was laughing. Turning bright red, she slunk down in her seat wishing to god she could disappear.
Thinking for a moment, the teacher finally decided what she would do. Turning to Joey, she unleashed her full glare at him and spoke quietly, though it was obvious to almost everyone there that she was pissed. "Mr. Wheeler. Is that true?"
Turning even redder than he was before, Joey turned to the teacher and smiled an apologetic smile before replying. "Ya. It's true."
The teacher sighed before turning from them to return to the front of the class. She retook her seat with a final word to him. "Fine. Then you will stay after school and serve detension. And for future instances, do NOT poke your classmates with ANYTHING!" Then she turned her attention back to her work, occassionally looking up to see if everyone had returned to their seats. Satisfied that they did, she finished her work in peace and quiet. The rest of the class was spent with Joey turning to give the odd glance at Jordyn with saddened eyes, but she refused to look at him, so he didn't have a chance to apologize to her.
***Lunch***
Jordyn was once again sitting on the bench, looking out over the field in peace and quiet. She loved it here. There was no one to bother her and she could sit back and enjoy the scenery. She sat with her legs crossed and held the note pad, almost completely full of poetry, on her lap as she read over a past poem she wrote. She had written it from a dream she had and she loved it.
(thought up on the spot by me please don't use without first asking me)
Blue eyes glowing with strength and love,
Seem to be from an angel above.
Brown hair swinging, wild and free.
A smile that's there, only for me.
I was lost, but now I'm found,
In a sea of sadness I thought I'd drowned.
I was lonely, lost and cold.
To his posession, my heart was sold.
He brought me back and gave me life,
We were to be husband and wife.
Disaster struck and broke us away,
But we're not done, we'll find a way.
A love like ours cannot die.
We'll break these bonds and away we'll fly.
As Jordyn sat reading this poem, she felt hot tears welling up inside her eyes. She didn't know why she felt sad whenever reading this poem, but something just felt so wrong. Closing her eyes and taking a deep, steadying breath, she opened her eyes to see the book being lifted from her lap. Turning her head to see who was there, her cloudy grey-blue eyes focused on bright blue ones. Blinking back her tears, Jordyn was surprised and somewhat embarrassed to find Seto Kaiba sitting beside her as he placed her poetry book in his lap and began reading the same poem she had just finished reading.
Blushing a bit from embarrassment and some other unknown emotion that was coursing through her body, Jordyn reached out to take her book, only to have her hand grabbed gently by his free one. Still keeping his eyes on the book, he held her hand in his as she just sat there stunned that he'd done that. This was Seto Kaiba. THE Seto Kaiba. She's found out about his company and had seen him be so cold and removed to everyone he ever came into contact with. This was the same guy who was now holding her cold hand with his larger, warm one.
Finally finishing reading the poem, Kaiba let her hand go and handed her back her book. He got up to leave but before he did, he spoke. "Your writing is beautiful. It seems like you actually felt that pain and happiness. I would like to read more of your work, and perhaps hear you sing again. Your voice is lovely." Of course he had his back to her, or she would have seen the small, genuine smile that graced his lips, and the light bush that made his face glow. Then, he was gone. Jordyn sat on that bench in wonder at what had just occured, and Nydroj was beaming from her soulroom. There was no doubt that this was the reincarnation of her Seto. She even got more of her memories back, but she kept to herself as she watched her light smile her first smile of happiness in many years.
***After School***
Jordyn had met up with Yugi after school. He was sitting with Tea and Tristan on a nearby bench and Jordyn wondered where Joey was. /....That's right. He had detention for poking me with his pencil./ she thought to herself. She could feel Nydroj in her soulroom, looking for more memories, so she left her yami alone, silently wishing her good luck. Walking up to Yugi and his friends, they all turned to smile at her and she gave them a small, sad smile. She hadn't meant to send Joey to detention. "Listen guys. About Joey's detention..." she started, but before she could finish Tristan spoke up.
"It's ok. He's used to this sort of thing happening. I remember one time when this other guy was seated beside him, Joey poked him with his pencil and the guy actually DID break it in half, then threatened to break his OTHER pencil in half if he didn't leave him alone. If you get what I mean..." He spoke with a smirk. This surprised Jordyn, because she expected his friends to be angry at her for what she'd done. She must have looked pretty shocked because Yugi stood up and asked if she wanted to go to the arcade with them later.
Shaking her head to clear her mind, Jordyn nodded before speaking. "Sure. When should I meet up with you? and where?"
Yugi looked at his friends and Tea spoke up softly. "How about if you meet us there? We're all going to go home, so we can all meet up there. " and at Jordyn's nod, she contnued "Can you meet us at 8? Do you know where it is?"
Jordyn thought for a moment and nodded. That would give her time to go for a swim and relax. They all bid their farewells before turning and heading to their respective homes.
As Jordyn was walking home, she suddenly felt an evil presence. Whatever it was, it wasn't that strong, but a moment later, there were three presences. Stopping her walk, Jordyn tried to focus on where it was coming from, but before she could pinpoint their exact location, the sense of evil disappeared. Thinking for a moment, Jordyn stood in the same spot. Since the presence didn't come back, she shrugged off the thought and decided to walk home. She knew her yami was tense. She could feel suspicion and waryiness, but she chose to ignore it. Many times when things like this popped up, her yami always told her to leave it to her.
Finally getting home, Jordyn practically dropped on the couch for a moment before deciding to find her red and white bathing suit. It was a two piece, red bikini with a white trim (I'm not very good at explaining, but think of Yuna's suit in the hot springs in X-2). Putting it on, she dressed in a pair of dark jeans (hip huggers) and a brown undershirt with a long-sleeve overshirt and brown, high heel clogs. Grabbing a towel as well as a small, magically enchanted pouch that let her carry as many thing as she wanted in it (without it ever filling up or getting bigger or heavier), and was invisible to anyone who didn't have any magic powers. In this pouch, she placed her deck, a few high-potions, a couple pheonix downs and several ethers, and finally her red cellphone that she barely ever used. Finally she snapped her (luckily waterproof) watch onto her right wrist and she was off.
***At the Docks***
-Jordyn's Pov-
Finally, we got to the docks. I'm so glad that they're usually abandonned at this time of the day. As I look around, I don't see anyone, so I strip off my clothing, leaving me in my bikini, and I toss my pouch and towel on top of them, before diving under the icy cold waters. I'm so glas that I have my sword and yami with me. Because of them, I have the ability to breath under water. So here I am, swimming down to the bottom of the ocean, near the docks, breathing the water the same way a fish would. As I swim, I see so many beautiful fish and even the dolphins come to play with me. I'm here swimming through the waers of the ocean, I still haven't gone up for air, and I'm dancing with the dolphins and laughing as they play all around me. This place is so beautiful. It's so hard to put into words. I've never seen such a lively place.
After about two hours of swimming with the fishes (....that's not what I meant...), I decided it was time to go home to dry off before meeting the others at the arcade. I got out of the water to spy a small fiend sniffing at my clothing. The wind is cold and I shiver a bit as I call my Millenium blade into my hands, but I ignore it because now, that slimeball (literally......think flan) has caught sight of me and is growling as it slowly slides towards me. I just stand there. I'm not that impressed. I place my sword in front of me and rush towards the thing without a sound. I bring my blade crashing down on it's head and smile as I slice it in two. Satisfied that it was dealth with, I turned to retrieve my clothing, turning back to watch as it desolved into pyreflies. /Strange.../ I thought. /Why was that here? Did it have something to do with the evil presences I sensed earlier?/ Shaking off my thoughts, I grabbed the rest of my stuff, only to pause as I roughly dried myself off, before grabbing everything again, slipping into my clothing, and once again heading out.
***At the arcade***
I finally got to the arcade. I'm still in my ensemble of brown from earlier and I now have my deck clipped to the waist of my jeans. I still have that magical pouch with me, but I placed even more healing items into it before I left. I felt that evil presence again. It was only for a moment, but never the less, I DID feel it. I wanted to be prepared.
Standing by the DDR game, I noticed a platform for karaokee singers and a young man just got off the stage, showing that it was open. Smiling a bit to myself, I wondered if they had my favorite song. Strangely, I felt that urge to sing again, so I walked up to the book and began looking for my number one song. Once I had found it, I grinned widely while I set everything up. Within a moment, I was up on stage with a mic in my hands. When the soft piano music started up, I began singing softly.
( Song is by Nydroj not me....I do NOT own...:P ....written by Jordyn Cheslock....[please do NOT use without first asking])
Dreaming of you
By Jordyn Cheslock
I am dreaming of you
In a world without you
Trying to open the door
But you're always gone
And locked
I open my heart
my soul
and memories
of you
But you're not there
to hear me
I want you here

I am dreaming of you
In a world without you
Please open your door
So I can see you
I love you, that much
is true
Please open your door
So that there is a world
with you.
As I finished the song, I stood a moment longer, lost in the music, only to be brought rudely back by a ton of clapping around me. I opened my eyes to see a small crowd surrounding me as they cheered me on. Blushing quite hard, I got off the stage and put the mic back. Looking around, I came face-to-face with Seto Kaiba who was smilling brilliantly. I've never seen him so happy and gentle looking. It was strange. I smiled up to him, for once feeling very happy and carefree myself. Kaiba was about to say something to me when a smaller boy came running up calling for him...by name. I was worried that he was going to snap at the boy, but as I watched, I noticed his eyes soften even more before he knelt down to the boy's height and spoke to him.
"Mokuba. You know not to make such a big scene. Now what's the matter?" Mokuba looked a moment at me who was watching them, before once again turning his attention back to Kaiba and speaking "Big brother. I saw Yugi, Joey, Tea and Tristan over there by the DDR machine. Can I hang out with them for a while? PPPPLLLLLLLEEEEEAAASSSSSS Big brother???" Mokuba stared into Seto's eyes with an adorable puppy dog face as Seto turned to Look at me to get away from it. I giggled as Mokuba ran between us once agaun unleashing the full fury of his big watery eyes, and I tried not to laugh as Seto sighed before saying yes. I had to try not to stare in shock as something Mokuba said finally hit me. He called Kaiba big brother, so then he's Mokuba KAIBA? Little brother? I was about to ask him that when I turned to see Yugi and his friends at the DDR machine looking around. I knew they were looking for me, so I looked at my watch. It was 8:30?? Dammit ! I was late!
Hastily, I turned and told Kaiba I had to go. I told him that I was supposed to hang out with Yugi today and he smiled as he reminded me that his brother was going to hang out with them too which meant he was heading in the same direction as me. I blushed a bit before smiling and turning to head to the others. As soon as they saw me, they all smiled, but many of their smiles faded when they saw who was behind me. I just looked at them curiously, and a ball of black hair about as tall as me rushed right by me and over to stand by Yugi. It was Mokuba again. Noticing I was here with the group, he turned to me and asked "Who are you?"
Smiling a bit, I walked forward to introduce myself. "My name is Jordyn." I was saved from saying more when Kaiba spoke up. "She's a friend Mokuba so be nice. Jordyn, this is my little brother Mokuba" and I bowed a bit in greeting, smiling when he did the same. I looked at the others and their mouths were open as what he had said sunk in. I was a friend. Of HIS? This must have shocked them all, but it was Tea who broke out of it first. She turned to Yugi and asked, "Yugi I was wondering if the spirit wanted to play DDR with me? (Yes people....she's STILL after him!)"
Yugi smiled and stared into space as I realized he must have been speaking to Yami. A moment later, the puzzle glowed and Yami took Yugi's place. I looked into his eyes to see if he was still angry with me, but as he looked at me, I could see an unknown soft expression come across his face, before he turned to Tea. He was about to say something when a loud roar came from outside. I visibly stiffened as I sensed those evil presences from before, and before anyone could say anything, I had taken off outside. I felt that familiar tugging sensation behind me and knew Yami was following me, I just hoped the others had stayed behind. I knew this would be really danergous.
Once I got to the nearby park, I found three Shantaks (large evil birds I think). I raced over to them as I called out my blade. Holing it before me, I silently commanded it to turn into my staff. I held my white staff in front of me as I pulled out a few cards. I looked behind me and saw that Yami was walking towards me as Seto stood by his brother with saddened eyes. I think he wanted to be here beside me, but he couldn't leave his brother unprotected. With him stood Joey, Tristan and Tea. I looked forward once again as Yami stood beside me with his deck out also. I prayed to each card before lying them on the ground in front of me. I then stood back and spun my staff twice in a figure 8 in front of me. Then I stood back as a loud roar came from the sky in front of me.
I knew everyone was watching as a huge dragon-like monster came barreling from the sky and landed in front of me as it kicked up a lot of dust. I bent a bit as I covered my eyes, and when I re-opened them, Yami was standing between me and my summoned monster. I gently pushed him out of the way before walking to Bahamut and asking him "Please lend us your might" I knew this surprised Yami. He thought Bahamut was an enemy. Bahamut roared again before falling to all fours. I called out " MEGA FLARE ATTACK!" and backed away as the wheel on Bahamut's back began spinning. Bahamut roared even louder as his claws dug into the ground and he opened his mouth. Within his mouth a large ball of light began forming and then shot out at the Shantaks in front of him. The attack caught two of them and all of a sudden there were explosions in the light. Once it faded away, the monsters dropped to the ground as pyreflies began to drift from their prone bodies and they disappeared. I looked for the third one and saw that it was diving at Mokuba. I couldn't act in time as Seto pushed him out of the way, only to get claws raked across his back. I looked in horror as he fell to the ground and the marks on his back began to bleed viciously as Joey ran over and threw his coat that he pulled off, over the wounds and pressed on them in order to slow the bleeding. Now completely pissed, I turned my attention back to the final monster and commanded Bahamut to use Firaga on it. He roared as a huge fireball formed in his left hand and he threw it at the monster. It hit dead on and the final Shantak fell to the ground in a ball of flame. Pyreflies drifted away from it's body and it disappeared. When I knew it was safe, I turned to Bahamut and thanked him. Then I dismissed him before running over to the barely conscious Kaiba and lifted his head to place it in my lap as I knelt down beside him. I reached into my pouch and pulled out a High Potion and made him drink the liquid. Then I watched as the wounds disappeared from his back and it healed until nothing was left, not even a scar.
I waited until he woke up completely before moving. I had once again returned my blade to my heart and I just sat on the ground a moment before standing beside the others. Mokuba was obviously shocked as his now uninjured brother got up and looked around him. I blushed a bit as his gaze settled on me. Then he smiled and thanked me for saving him, before turning to his still stunned brother and pulling him away with the words "Come on. We're going home." I looked at the others and saw that they were all giving me strange looks. I looked over to Yami who seemed happy, but before anyone could say anything, I backed away and saying that I had to get home, I ran off once again.
***At the Kaiba Mansion***
-Seto's Pov-
I finally managed to get Mokuba to believe me that I was fine, and to go to bed. It was later than usual because he refused to leave me alone, afraid that I would die on him sometime if he let me leave his sight. I tried to explain that whatever that was that Jordyn had given me healed me, but he wouldn't listen. Then again, why am i listening to myself? I never used to believe in magic or things like that, but now that I've met HER, I do. I guess it has something to do with how she was in my dreams before I ever even laid eyes on her, but I just don't know. I know I feel something towards her, but it's confusing me because I never used to be so kind to people. I used to see it as weakness, but now....it seems to be a kind of strength.
I'm sitting here now, in only my black leather pants as I am examining my back in the mirror. I'm in my bathroom trying to figure things out logically, but as Yami once said, it doesn't always help. I can't help but be confused as I think about everything that's happened. I often find myself thinking about Jordyn for no reason. I'll remember her singing, which was very beautiful by the way, or her yelling at Joey and Tristan, which was hilarious by the way. I find myself chuckling, as I'm doing now. I look at my face in the mirror and see my icy mask has once again slipped, but now, for some reason, I just don't care. I'm not even TRYING to put it back in place. I think....I like this new me, and I also think....I like....no...LOVE Jordyn.
I sigh as I think some more on that. I realize I've come to love every little thing about her. Her temper, her eyes, her smile. Everything. Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I turn off the light in my bathroom and head to bed, hopnig to dream of the woman who's mear appearance has changed my life so drastically.
***At Jordyn's place***
-Jordyn's Pov-
I finally made it home. God I'm so tired. I remembered that Summoning took so much strength out of me, but I didn't have a choice. It was either summon, or be killed and let my friends me killed. I stopped what I was doing, which was making supper, when that thought crossed my mind. Friends? I guess I DID have friends, but it was unusual. I've never had friends like these before, and not being able to read many of the expressions on their faces, made me afraid. I didn't know what they were thinking. Kaiba was different however. Yes, my mind had once again turned to Kaiba. There was something about him. I mean sure, he was the reincarnation of the Seto, Nydroj knew in the past, but still something drew ME to him. I could feel that Nydroj didn't love him. Her love was in the past and even she knew that this guy was different.
I found myself shaking my head with a wry chuckle as I continued to make my lasagna. What can I say, I love italian and oriental foods...as long as it wasn't spicy and didn't contain...ugh...pickles. I really hate pickles. I managed to get my lasagna put together and in the oven when I heard the doorbell ring. Surprised and curious as to who it could be, I went and opened the door to gasp as I found Kaiba himself on my doorstep. It was raining out and by the looks of it, he had walked to my place, so without a further moment of thinking, I opened the door and let him in. The poor guy was soaked and he was shivering, so I walked quickly to my bathroom and grabbed a large, deep blue robe and several towels and laid them on the countertop. Then I went back to him and dragged him by the hand into my bathroom. I pointed out the towels and robe and said once word. "Change." Then I left, closing the door behind me with a red face.
Back in the kitchen, I was just opening the oven and removing the lasagna when I heard a sound behind me. I placed the food on the counter and closed the oven. Then I turned to find Kaiba standing behind me in the robe. I smiled and blushed bright red as I noticed it barely closed on him. I forgot that he was much bigger than me. Turning back to the counter so he couldn't see me blush, I grabbed a plate and cut a large piece of lasagna before handing it to him with a fork. I reached into the fridge and grabbed a bottle of pepsi and gave it to him also before ushering him out the door and into the livingroom. I told him to sit wherever he wanted and left to get his clothing. I grabed it all from the side of the tub, where it was draining (hey...he's a gentleman and isn't going to just throw it on the floor), before taking it to the laundry room and throwing it in the dryer. Then I went back to the kitchen to grab a slice of lasagna and a bottle of Coke for myself, before returning to the lvivingroom to fin Kaiba sitting on one side of the couch and eating. I sat beside him with a smile and began eating my food as well.
Once we had finished our dinner, with a good sized slice of strawberry cake each for dessert, I turned to him and asked. "So what brings you out to my home in this weather and at this time of night?" I couldn't tell what look was on his face, but I knew something was up. He turned to me and just looked at me a moment before speaking. "I came here to see how you were doing. I noticed that you seemed tired after calling that....I'm sorry...I don't know what to call it." He tried to apologize with a slight blush, but I wouldn't have any of it. "It was called an Aeon" I told him gently while I took in his appearance.
Poor Seto was still pretty soaked. His hair was limp and a bit mussed from him hurriedly trying to dry it. It hung in his face and over his eyes giving him a more bedraggled appearance. His skin was a tad flushed, but I couldn't tell if it was from being warm or something else. His eyes, well I couldn't see them, but fron the sound of his voice, he seemed pretty tired. I saw his lips twitch when I told him it was an Aeon. It looked like he was trying not to smile. I just looked at him a moment, curiously, before returning my attention to the table in front of us, and answering him. "I'm ok. Yes summoning tends to tire me out, but not as much as sending, and something tells me I'm going to have to do that tomorrow.
Seto looked at me for a moment before asking, "What's a sending?" I looked sadly at him. "It's a dance that summoners have to do. When people die suddenly, for pretty much any reason, if they are not sent, they become fiends. Those monsters we fought today are fiends." Grimancing a bit, I turned to look him right in the eyes as I said the next part. "The souls of the dead need guidance. They envy the living and cannot travel to the otherworld without a sending. The longer they stay on this planet and are left unsent, the more their envy grows. Eventually, that envy turns to jealousy and eventually that jealousy turns to hate. The hate is what turns the spirits into fiends. The sending is a special dance that only summoners can do. It is made to guide the souls of the dead that rest nearby, to the afterlife so they can finally rest. It is a very sad duty for us summoners and it emotionally drains us. It is said that it is a very beautiful and haunting dance but at the same time, everyone who has ever seen one has felt horrible due to the sadness it creates. Those Shantak fiends we fought today tell me that it's time to do a sending. So tomorrow I will go down to the beach to preferom one." Smiling sadly, I turned and took a sip from my drink.
Seto sat beside me thinking and suddenly there was a loud ding from another room. Seto jumped a bit as it startled him, and I giggled as I got up and went into the other room. After a moment I came back out with my hands full of his cloths and I handed them to him. He took them and his eyes widened a bit as he felt how warm and dry they were. "I dried them for you. Besides, it looks like my robe barely fits you anyways." And I laughed a bit as he tried to pull it a bit tighter around his waist while blushing. He got up and went into my bathroom with his clothing as I sat down on the couch. I started to feel guilty for having feelings for the reincarnation of the man my yami loved, but Nydroj spoke up in my head, to reassure me.
[It's alright hikari. The man I loved died 5000 years ago. The day my time in this item is complete, I will be able to join him in the afterlife. I await HIM. You have no cause to worry that you are stealing Seto from me.] I could feel the warmth when she spoke to me. I knew she was telling me the truth. I felt immensly better and a moment later, Seto came out from the bathroom, once again dressed in his clothing and even with his hair wet and still mussed, I still couldn't believe how handsome he is.
We went to the door and saw that it was pouring even harder out, so I told him he would have to spend the night. He thought about it a moment before finally agreeing, now the problem was that I had no extra rooms, so I asked if he would be ok with the couch and he smiled, telling me that he's slept in his chair at the office before, so a couch would be fine. I smiled a bit at the picture it created. Then I turned and got him a heavy blanket, seeing as how it was cold out and he still seemed cold from before. Then I pulled out a thick pillow and gave them to him. Bidding him goodnight, I went into my room and lay down to get some sleep.
***Next Day at the Beach***
Seto and I were standing on the shore with Yami and the gang behind us. Seto had called them earlier and told them about what I was going to do. It surprised me, but he told me he felt inclined to do them a favor since Joey ruined his favorite jacket in order to try and help him. He knew that they would be really interested in this and he was right. I stood at the edge of the water, having already taken off my knee high black boots. I was dressed in a white tanktop and a brown flowing skirt with a slit in the side that went up to my upper thigh. I had my staff held to my chest with both hands and my eyes were closed in concentration as I prayed for the souls that wandered lost on this planet. Then I opened my eyes had dropped my staff to my sides as I slowly stepped out onto the water.
I faintly recall hearing Joey saying something along the lines of "What tha hell?", but my attention was soully on my task. As I walked out over the water, I heard the Hymn of the Fayth being sung by the Aeons in my deck. I stopped over a certain point and sighed deeply before beginning my dance with a sweep of my staff in a circular motion around my bare feet.
-Normal Pov-
As everyone watched Jordyn dance, they couldn't help but be awed and at the same time horrified. The damce was so beautiful. The way she moved and bent, and spun so gracefully, but the sensations coming from the dance itself made many of them shiver in horror. The feelings of anger and sadness rushed through the air, as many lightly colored orbs of light flew threw the air and towards the dancing summoner. She began spinning and a pillar of water formed beneath her as it lifted her up higher. The lights swarmed around her and formed a pillar around her as they all moved in one direction and began flying up higher and higher. Once they reached a certain spot up in the sky, they disappeared as she finished the dance with spinning her staff and holding it in a position before her with both hands and the head of the staff pointing down. The pillar of water slowly sank back down and Jordyn walked back to the shore. Once her feet touched solid ground, she commanded her staff to return to her heart and she slowly walked away. The others ran to catch up to her only to have her stop when they did.
Jordyn still had her back to them and her eyes closed but she began speaking. It was like she was remembering something and her words made little to no sense to the rest of the group. "My father...I loved him. So I...I will live with my sorrow, I will live my own life! I will defeat sorrow, in his place. I will stand my ground and be strong. I don't know when it will be, but someday...I will conquer it. And I will do it without....false hope." Then she collapsed in a dead faint, leaving Seto to catch her.
The game shop was the closest place they could go, so that's where Seto carried her to. He was truly worried about her and swore that when she woke up, he would tell her how he felt about her. Once he had placed her in the spare room at the shop, everyone stayed with them for a few moments before slowly trickling out one-by-one. Yami was the last to leave and before he left, he placed a hand on Seto's shoulder only to receive a glare from the said man. However, Yami chose to ignore it. He closed his eyes a moment before saying "Becareful with her Seto. Remember her disability and frailties. DON'T hurt her" Then he shook his head saying "I guess I see her as a sister. I just don't want to see her hurt." Then he left with a dry look on his face, leaving Seto all alone with the unconscious girl.
Seto just looked at the pharaoh's retreating back before whispering " No matter what happens, I'll see this through to the end. I promise" Before once again turning to watch the peacefully sleeping girl on the bed in front of him. He'd never forgotten her disability and never would. He knew he had to be careful around her. Just look at what she did to Tristan and put Joey through. Laughing softly to himself, Seto sat on the floor beside the bed, taking her warm hand in his own and holding it gently as he laid his head down on the bed and fell asleep.
***A Week Later***
Jordyn was now living with Seto. He'd insisted wishing her to be nearer to him. He managed to convince her when he told her about the dueling arena out back, the large piano in the music room and the loads of italian and oriental food as well as chocolate and cakes she'd find in the kitchen. Right now she was playing the piano along with singing to Dreaming of You. It was the same song she had sung that day at the arcade. She was totally lost in her music, so she didn't hear Mokuba creeping up on her until he stood right behind her. Then she finished and turned to get up only to be grabbed around the waist and come face-to-face with bright greyish eyes. Screaming as loud as she could, she was about to hit the attacker, when she realized it was Mokuba. Shaking and panting fron her fright, she sat on the bench with Mokuba looking at her worriedly as they both heard Seto come running into the room.
"What happened? Jordyn are you alright?" Seto asked breathlessly as he apparently came running from way upstairs. He looked wildly around as the only other people in the room were Mokuba and Jordyn. Narrowing his eyes, he took in the pale face of the woman he loved and the sheepish look on his brother's face. He knew what had happened. He was about to give Mokuba an earful for scaring her when Jordyn spoke up first.
With a wicked gleam in her now clear eyes, she looked at Mokuba and said "Mokie...what did I say about sneaking up on me?" Mokie turned to her and flinched. He recognized that look and knew he would be in trouble. He tried backing away but before he could, two powerful arms caught him around the waist and picked him up. Jordyn got up and followed Seto as he carried his kicking and screaming little brother out to the livingroom and threw him on the couch. Before Mokuba could get away, Seto had caught him under the arms and began tickling him like there was no tomorrow. Jordyn sat back and watched in amusement as Mokie began screaming and wimpering all the while laughing his butt off. No matter what he did, he couldn't get away from his brother. After several minutes of relentless torture, Seto pulled Mokuba up and gave him a big hug before ushering him upstairs to go to bed. They only stopped once and that was so that Mokie could give Jordyn a big hug. Then they both raced up the stairs and Jordyn sat on the couch as she thought of how to get Seto back for taking her revenge on the boy, away from her. She smiled evilly as she figured she'd give him a taste of his own medicine, so she sat innocently, and waited for Kaiba to come back down the stairs so she could get him back.
When Seto came back downstairs, he noticed Jordyn sitting on the couch. It seemed she had been waiting for him, so he sat beside her and she looked at him. Unable to keep her wicked smile from her face, she jumped in his lap and began tickling him, making him squirm under her and try not to laugh. She noticed the corners of his mouth turning up and she tickled harder to hear a bit of a laugh bubble up from his throat. Seto tried fighting back but only ended up causing both of them to fall to the floor. Before he could get the upper hand though, she had flipped him on his back and was straddling his waist. She was about to begin tickling him again when he grabbed her hands and ended up causing her to fall against him.
Neither one of them moved as they noticed the position they were in. They were pressed up against each other and Jordyn was still straddling Seto's waist. Their faces were only inches away from each other and Seto released one of her hands to reach up and brush some of her silky hair out of her face. He leaned forward and caught her lips in a brief kiss before pulling back, red in the face as he tried to apologize for that, but before he could, she leaned down and captured his lips in a deep kiss. It was a light brush of her lips against his, until she pressed harder and he felt her tongue against his mouth. He gasped a bit in surprise and she took advantage of the oportunity to slip her tongue into his mouth as he moaned into the kiss. They sat there in a deep, passionate kiss until their lungs were screaming for air. When they pulled away, they were both red in the face and were panting heavily.
Sitting up, with Jordyn still straddling him, Seto looked into her eyes and whispered. "I love you" before kissing her again. Jordyn smiled and returned the kiss before pulling away to whisper the same words back. After 5000 years, the descendants of Seto the High Priest, and Nydroj the High Summoner, had found each other at last. They were to live a hapy and prosperous life. Jordyn's thoughts were...
"So much has happened. And I'm sure it's only the beginning. Through the smiles and tears, through the anger... ...and the laughter that follows... I know that I'll keep changing. This is my story. It'll be a good one."
