Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ How the Beginning Began ❯ The bringing about of one so High ( Chapter 3 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

A/N: Sorry the update took so long, but school is the priority. I'm sorry for the shortness of the chapters, but I'm trying over here…but you want the fic, so, here's the fic.
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! I'm glad I don't because that would mean that I wouldn't be able to go to a grocery store without being run over by fans.

Panya trudged home through the muddy fields. `I hate planting grain,' she thought, `more of the grain gets on me than on the ground.' She had spent the whole day planting grain, after which she took a bath to remove the mud from herself and her clothes, which had not been fun since she was in a bad mood. Now, she had to walk through the fields, all the way home (in a bad mood). By the time she arrived home, she was about ready to collapse. “I'm going to bed,” she said, “and anyone who tries to stop me gets…” But what someone would get would not be know, for she immediately collapsed out of exhaustion. Fairy's gift materialized, and shook her head, a slight twinkle in her eyes. She gently so as to not wake her, picked her up and carried her to her room, where she laid her gently on the bed. For a fleeting moment, she considered putting her on a cow to see if she would stay asleep. Oh what a funny picture that would make.

Panya's brother rode silently across the desert, very seriously, considering his trouble making streak. He wondered what Panya had done that day. `Probably plant grain and collapse when she got home. Panya's good at doing work, but once she thinks she's done, she's out like a light.' He wished he could have said a proper goodbye to her, but it was better this way. She got so teary when she said goodbyes, he would be late. `Yes, it was better this way', he thought with finality. Now to hope there weren't any sandstorms…

Fairy's Gift twiddled her thumbs idly, she was bored. She wanted to go back to sleep, but with her mistress's father absent and her mistress asleep, she had to stand guard incase thieves showed up. She conjured up some butterflies with her wand and listened to the tinkling laughter only she could hear. She smiled; this would entertain her for the time being. She looked at the butterflies. She had conjured two. One pale lilac, and one pale blue (A/N: that rhymes). They landed on her shoulder for brief intervals, laughing and dancing like they do. Suddenly, they stopped. A third butterfly flew in gently threw the window. Unlike the others which were small, this one was quite large. Its wings were white and appeared to be washed in dark blue and gold. It had a slight softness to it, and glowed slightly. But it didn't go and laugh and dance with the other butterflies, instead it went to the sleeping Panya and alit gently on her chest, and began to glow brightly. Something clicked in Fairy's Gift's brain. She shook her head. “No,” she said commandingly, as she strode over to the butterfly. As soon as she touched it, it turned into a ball which she picked up gently. She held it in her arms carefully and wrapped mist around it like a blanket. She flew out the window to the river and gently, very gently, she gave the light to the desert.
