I'm Still Your Sister

A 21 year old girl by the name of Selena stood with her back against the brick wall in the alley. Her long chestnut brown hair curved in various places and ended just below her shoulders, golden blonde highlights beginning to fade. Her hazel eyes gleamed with mischief as they always did, and her face showed an expression of darkness.
Her long legs were covered by her black parachute pants and she wore high top black boots. She wore a sapphire blue shirt that stopped just above her navel with sleeves that came down to her elbows. Several weapons were hooked around her in holsters, just waiting to be used.

Selena sighed heavily and pushed off from the wall, starting to walk deeper into the alley. The nighttime sky was darker than usual, no stars pinning it back and the moon hidden by rolling clouds.

I can't give up. There's no way that I'm going back home without finding them, without telling them, knowing that they're alright. Selena thought hurriedly. She had been searching all over China, looking for two people. She was searching for her younger brothers, Seto and Mokuba Kaiba.

Selena was their older sister by blood. When she was two years old, Selena had gotten lost in the crowd at an airport, and had gotten on a different plane than her parents. Selena had been taken to America and hadn't seen her parents since. One would think that the young teen knew nothing about her brothers, since they hadn't even been born before she went missing; but Selena had her ways.

The young brunette had been found by a wise karate master whom had taken her home and raised her. The girl was now master of the martial arts. She had the grace of a swan, the power and determination of a dragon. Selena had been told about her brothers by her sensei, and when he died, she knew she had to find them.

So here she was, searching all over Japan, the supposed home country of her brothers. Selena was currently in the city of Domino. She had just arrived one hour ago, and was as determined as she always was.
ON THE STREET BY THE ALLEY……

Seto Kaiba was running, something that the teen didn't do often. The CEO was currently being chased by a crowd of fangirls, luckily catching an edge. Quickly dodging them he turned abruptly into an alley and sped down the small enclosed area. Looking back to see if he lost them, Seto suddenly bumped into somebody and fell down.
“Shit!” He heard a cuss from in front of him. Scrambling to get up at the same time as the stranger, Seto found himself face to face with a girl, and she looked pissed.
“Watch where you're go-“ The girl paused suddenly, her face revealing shock. Kaiba quirked an eyebrow at her. Suddenly the girl grabbed his arm and dragged him down the alley to a dead end.
“What the hell are you doing?!” Kaiba shouted angrily.
“Is your name Seto Kaiba?” She asked.
“Yes it is. Now I suggest you get out of my way or-“
“Or what? You'll move me?” She asked, hands on her hips.
“Basically.”
“Huh, I'd like to see you try.” Her eyes narrowed and her lip curled in a mocking sneer. Seto growled and started for her, but she quickly dodged, laughing.
“I was kidding Seto!” She cried, for some reason happy.
“Don't call me that!”
“I can call my little brother what I feel like.” She smirked in triumph, finally, she had found them, or at least one of them.
“I don't have a sister.”
“I'm three years older than you. I was separated from mom and dad when I was two. Yes I do know that they're dead. And if you don't believe me, I can always prove it to you. My name is Selena by the way.”
Seto stood there, struck dumb. He did remember his mother telling him that she had lost a child before he was born, but he never knew that it was an actual kid!
“I, I believe you.” He whispered.
Selena smiled warmly and threw an arm over his shoulder, leading him to her airplane.

Once inside the aircraft she and her brother settled down with glasses of warm milk.
“Why are you here?” Seto asked, curious.
“When the man that raised me passed away, I knew I had to go find you and our other brother. I was told his name is Mokuba?” Seto nodded. “Well good. You see, I was raised in America by this karate master. He was like a father to me but I always called him sensei.
My sensei knew so much. Under his watchful eye, I mastered the martial arts.” Seto sat and listened, in a daze and fascinated.
“One day, during my training as a samurai, my sensei told me of a younger brother, and a new baby brother that had just been born. He said the older one was a boy named Seto, and the baby was named Mokuba. He told me that my parents would die when the boy, in other words you, turned twelve, and that you were six at that time. I knew I couldn't stop that fate, it would be foolish to try. So I stayed and continued my training, never forgetting the news that he had brought me. Last year, my sensei died. I came to Japan and began looking for you and Mokuba. I found out that you were adopted by a man named Gozaburo Kaiba, but had soon run him out and took over his company.” Selena drained the rest of her drink and laughed at the shocked look on her brother's face.
“So you found me, now what are you going to do?” Seto asked.
“I want to meet my other brother, and get to know you two more.”
“You've been missing for six years.”
“I may have not seen you before this night, but that doesn't change the fact that we have the same blood. I'm not some irresponsible girl, I own my own company as well. It's called High Horizons.”
Seto nodded and they continued their conversation.

After a few hours, Seto allowed Selena to come to the mansion, deciding she should live with them. After she was settled, Seto went to his study and took out a picture of his mother.

Tears streaked Seto's cheeks as he thought about his parents. Their laughs, her voice, his encouragement. A gentle hand found his shoulder and Seto looked up into Selena's caring eyes. “Come sit, my hermano.” Seto followed her to the couch and she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling him back so his head rested on her chest. Seto choked on his tears and sobs as Selena rubbed the side of his arm at a calming pace, whispering words of kindness.
“Dad and I were in a fight before he died. I never got to say I'm sorry…. The last thing I said to him was that I hated him.” Seto murmured.
“He knows that you love him. Seto our dad forgives you, I know it. Calm down little brother, calm your self. Let the winds of the night carry your worries away. Do not sorrow over that of which can't be changed.” Selena began to hum a soothing song.
“Selena?”
“Yes?”
“We just met, yet you hold me, speak to me as if we've known each other forever, such kindness and trust, and I've done nothing to earn it….” Selena chuckled.
“Seto, you've done much to earn the right to be held and calmed. And though I've been away from you for so long, there is something that will never change. I'm still you're sister Seto, and I will always care about you, will always do my best to make you feel safe.” A slight smile curved Seto's lips as he fell asleep in his sister's arms.
