I Never Knew

Yami sat in the Millennium Puzzle, alone, like always, he was always alone not very many people knew about him, only his Aibou, Yugi, his friend Ryou, Ryou's Yami, Bakura, and Anzu Mazaki.

Yami had no one to talk to since Yugi was in school right now, he was writing a paper on a book he read. Yami decided to walk around his soul room to see if any of the doors were unlocked.

"Yami." A female voice called, Yami stopped walking and looked around, nothing no one was there, so he started walking, he dismissed it as his own thoughts.

"Yami!" The voice called again getting louder and closer, again Yami stopped and looked around, and again nothing, he dismissed it again and kept walking.

"Yami!" The same voice called again, this time it was very loud and close and this time Yami replied.

"Who's there?" He yelled, would never admit it but he was scared.

"YAMI." The voice called, this time it sounded like it was coming from every where's, Yami looked and looked but saw nothing.

"Who are you?" Yami demanded, then he realized he probably was not going to get an answer.

"YAMI!" The voice screamed, so loud Yami had to cover his ears.

"WHAT!?" He screamed back.

"Hello," The female voice finally answered him.

"What?" Yami blinked in surprise, "What do you want?"

"I know your lonely." The voice said.

"Huh?" Yami blinked, all of a sudden a figure appeared in front of him, it was a woman, she was about 5'4", she had black hair with white highlights that went down to the small of her back, and she had two angel like wings, only they were black, and each feather was lined with silver, she a black dress on the, sleeves went down over her hands and the bottom dragged behind her on the ground, her skin was pale and dark, though the one thing Yami noticed was the fact she had her eyes shut.

"I know that your lonely, tonight go into the woods, by the park, until you reach the Tree of the Dead, then you shall know the truth."

"The truth?" Yami repeated her.

"Yes the truth." The female spoke harshly, she then opened her eyes they were ice blue, cold, lifeless, Yami knew what ever she was, she definitely was not human.

"How will I know what this Tree of the Dead looks like?" Yami asked out of curiosity.

"Go down the valley and over the mountain. the Tree of the Dead will have a sword in the ground and there lies the truth."

"Who are you?" Yami asked completely changing the subject.

"Go to the Tree of the Dead and learn the truth." The woman repeated herself.

"What do I do once I'm there?" Yami continued to question her.

"You will know once you are there." And with that she vanished into the nothingness that was his soul room.

What is the Tree of the Dead? Who was the mysterious woman? Will Yami go to the Tree or the Dead?
