I Never Knew

"Yami…" Yugi called to his darkness.

"Yes Aibou?" The ancient Pharaoh answered.

"I have a project on Ancient Egypt to do, and I was wondering…? Yugi began.

"Wondering if I would help you?" Yami cut in, folding his arms across his chest.

"Well…Yeah."

"Um… I don't know, aren't you supposed to do these projects by yourself?" Yami mused.

"Well …Yes, but this is your chance to tell people what Egypt was really like." Yugi tried to convince Yami, Yugi saw this was not working so he used his old puppy dog eyes trick.

"Yugi! Don't even start with that look!" Yami did not want to do Yugi's project for him, but he looked so innocent and adorable, he couldn't help himself.

"Please Yami, you know more about Ancient Egypt then any living person on this planet, Please." Yugi begged.

That did it, Yami's ego kicked in, "Oh fine, just please stop begging, it looks really stupid." Yami joked, 'besides it will help me pass the time, after all it is only 4'o'clock.'

"Yay! Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Yugi shouted as he started jumping on his bed happily, then out of nowhere, tackled Yami into a hug.

"Ok, can we work on this project of yours or are you gunna jump around, and hug me all day?" Yami smiled at the sight of his happy aibou, and he really didn't mind the embrace.

"I'm gunna jump around, and hug you all day, what about you?" Yugi laughed, he love it when Yami decides to play and joke around, he's usual so serious, cold and mean, well not to him, Yami was always nice to him, but to everyone else like Seto, Anzu (defiantly) and the others he's very mean, he almost kill Seto…

Yugi finally closed his binder, he just finished the Egypt project which was supposed to be at least 5 pages, but Yami knew so much about the subject, the project turned out to be 13 ½ pages long, Yami never expected Yugi to write so much, he looked up, mainly just to stretch, and out the window to see the sun was setting and the full moon was hanging in the sky, waiting for the sun to go down, and so was Yami.

"Yugi, supper." Yugi's Grandpa yelled which broke the Pharaoh's concentration on the setting sun; Since Yugi had not yet revealed Yami to Grandpa or the others, Yami gave Yugi a little reassuring glance then retreated into the Millennium Puzzle, and waited until Yugi finished his meal.

'The Tree of the Dead…um I wonder what the woman meant by 'The Truth'' Yami pondered in his soul room, when he heard a knock on the door, 'I thought Yugi was eating.' Yami proceeded toward the door to his soul room, he slowly opened the door only to be…
