Well here's chapter 5 to "I Never Knew" and I hope you like it too, I will try to put some shonen ai in the next chapter too none yet, well anyway ENJOY!!!

Seto gave Ryou some extra clothes and lead him to the bathroom where he could change. Their eyes had become a bit more accustomed to the dark and they could move around a bit easier now too. Ryou took off his wet clothes wincing slightly, as he stifled back a sob that wanted to be heard while he removed his pants. He slipped on the spare pants slowly, they were a little big as well as the shirt but the loose clothing actually was better upon his still bruised skin. When he walked out, he was surprised at the light. The entire room was lit with candles now, Seto smiled at him softly, which caused Ryou to blush.

"I guess those clothes are a little big on you, you don't mind do you?" Seto asked

Ryou shook his head no and began looking around the room, it was really beautiful how the flames danced upon the walls…and romantic. Ryou felt Seto's hand on his cheek and a concerned expression on his face.

"What happened?" He asked concerned etched in his voice

"Huh?" Ryou asked not knowing what he was talking about

Seto turned brought Ryou's face a little closer to his "Your face is bruised…look's like someone hit you…" Seto said trailing off

FLASHBACK

Yami obviously angry slapped Ryou hard across the face, Ryou felt tears sting the back of his eyes; it hurt like knives and would surely bruise.

END FLASHBACK

Ryou clenched his jaw, he couldn't tell Seto what had happened even though every vessel in his body wanted to. "I…I don't remember." Ryou said pulling away not liking how close he was to the other teen.

Seto gave an exasperated sigh as he sat down on the bed, looking at Ryou who had a pained look on his face. "Ryou…I don't mean to pry but what's wrong? It practically looks like you ran away form home." Seto said

"If you don't want me here I can leave." Ryou answered closing his eyes

"No, that's not what I meant Ryou, stay as long as you need…but if you need some help I'd be happy to assist you." Seto said approaching him

"Thank you but I think I'll be okay." Ryou said

"All right, I guess I'll let you get some sleep then, my room's across from yours if you need anything all right?" Seto said about to leave

"A-Arigatou." Ryou said timidly and Seto stopped to look at him moment.

"Ryou…I'm not stupid, I know something is wrong, but I also know that you have reasons for not telling me too, so I wont pressure you to say anything…but you should know that you can trust me, and sooner or later you are going to have to tell somebody what's happening to you." Seto said leaving

Ryou went to his knees curling up in a small ball on the floor, he knew Seto was right…sooner or later he would have to tell somebody otherwise Yami would one day end up killing him. Ryou sniffled and looked at all the candles around the room, he felt safe here secure and warm but he knew tomorrow he would have to go back to his home and Yami…Yami would be so angry with him. Not only did Yami hate Seto, he left without telling Yami, Seto was right on that point too, he was running away…if he could run away for good Ryou would be more than grateful. Ryou didn't realize how tired he was as he closed his eyes and fell asleep on the floor of the room.

Yami wanted to kill Ryou when he figured out he ran away out of the bathroom window.

"How dare that pathetic slave run away!" Yami fumed as he walked down the street back to Ryou's house once morning had come along.

"You won't talk your way out of this one Ryou…you're going to regret this." Yami said as he easily walked inside the house.

He had Ryou make him an extra set of the keys to his house so he wouldn't have to knock anymore to get what he wanted. Not that Ryou could ignore him he knew when Ryou was home and when he wasn't, ignoring him would only cause him more problems anyway. He sat down on the couch in the living room; he knew Ryou would have to come home eventually.

Ryou awoke in a different bedroom and he was actually in bed now. He rolled over to see Seto sound asleep next to him. He smiled softly as he got up to get out of bed, rubbing his shoulders slightly as he did so.

"You hungry?" Seto said startling Ryou slightly when he spoke

"I…no, I'm fine." Ryou said swallowing "I should probably go home…" Ryou said trailing off a little.

"I hope you don't mind that I moved you, you we're struggling in your sleep, I didn't want to leave you alone." Seto said sitting up.

Ryou cringed at the memory.

FLASHBACK

Ryou shielded his face from Yami's fists as they slammed into him repeatedly, turning his small body black and blue.

"Tomeru!" Ryou pleaded

Yami didn't answer he only hit him harder and Ryou tried his hardest to block out the pain but he couldn't concentrate on anything else, Yami's words kept on interrupting his thoughts, whispering every cruel word he could in Ryou's ear.

"You're disgusting." Yami spat standing up as he kicked Ryou in the stomach. "You're supposed to be a Hikari, you've polluted the light." Yami said grabbing Ryou's hair and pulling upon it hard.

Ryou cried out in pain as he tried to pry Yami's hand loose from its grasp.

END FLASHBACK

Ryou's memory was interrupted by Seto's hand on his shoulder, a worry expression over his face as he looked at Ryou concerned. Ryou looked away, and noticed a tear slid down his cheek, he touched his face lightly and realized he had been crying.

"You were crying in your sleep too…" Seto said turning Ryou's face toward his. "Please Ryou, let me help you." Seto asked

"You can't…don't you think I would have said something to somebody by now if I could?" Ryou said standing up. "I can't deny the fact that its been going on for some time now, and that I've kept it from everyone for their own good…it won't stop." Ryou said fresh tears falling from his face.

"If you would be a bit more specific on what's been going on I could help you Ryou." Seto said taking Ryou's hands in his own.

"I can't allow my happiness to ruin the lives of those around me, he's not satisfied unless I'm miserable…I don't even know why he really does this to me! It's not my fault he loved Yugi, its not my fault Yugi loved me! I…I never knew…" Ryou said falling to his knees wrapping his arms around himself.

Seto took Ryou in his arms, he wished he could understand what Ryou was trying to tell him but it all seemed too much for Ryou to make into words. Seto settled for holding him until he calmed down a bit, he would do whatever it took to help Ryou, because he obviously needed it now.

Wow, this story does defiantly not want to be written…I need inspiration before I get another chapter out, well anyway…
