The smile on his face. Epilogue of ‘I’ve wanted you forever and tonight’.

He moves with the grace that is born of centuries of life. A child in the watcher’s eyes, but ancient in the eyes of the boy’s partner.
Golden hair floats like a halo around his soft features as the blonde is twirled and then pulled back against the other’s body.
The red eyes never leave the dancing couple, even when they finally stop and the blonde takes a glass of champagne to sip at.
If the watcher were in the same location as the watched, we would hear the description of the ballroom- how the room is full of light and celebrations, how the children around them are all yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs, how the band playing in the corner is drowned out but the thousands of creatures in the room, how the words that the blonde whispers to his companion are snatched away by a passing shout of more food being served in the banquet hall. We would see the glittering throng of fully grown Fairies that laugh and flirt with their younger brethren. We would zoom out and look at the Elves outside, who have been chained to the castle wall like dogs, hung suspended from their feet and battered and bruised to agony. Our camera would take a sharp turn and zoom past all that, to a room where an Elf King bows before a Fairy Queen and a surrender is negotiated.
But we see none of this. We hear none of the happy shouts. Because the blonde Fairy is dragging the brunette vampire out onto the balcony and the brunette vampire is looking deeply into the Fairy’s eyes and…
“Is it really alright for you to let your pet go? Don’t you normally kill them after they’ve stopped entertaining you?” Someone asks.
The purple haired vampire smiles and leans back in his chair. “Think of it as giving a puppy to a new owner.”
The puppy looks up at its master and smiles. And it’s that smile on his face that makes the watcher clear the crystal ball and leave the dark room.
Because some things cannot be stolen or forcefully taken. He was old enough to know that, at least.

Sweet notes: I know it’s really short. But it needed to be done. ^^ All over now! Immortals is concluded. Thank you for reading, I glad that everyone reviewed who did, some of you have become hooked on my work from the look of it- which makes me all warm and fuzzy in that place where authors feel pride for their works. I know I’ve been ending a lot of stories lately, and I know that some people are disappointed because I sold out on the Lotus Flower and they think I sold out on Defamation, but while I freely admit the pirate story was a sell out, Defamation and this one have ended exactly as they were supposed to. This story was always going to have an epilogue (figured it out at about chapter ten,) and it was always going to have a little bit of an odd ending- the only thing I didn’t count on was the lack thereof sex between Seto and Jounouchi. But I try not to force sex if it will be too forced. ^.^; It was going to be too forced to fit in here. And I am so sick of weeping Seto. ^^; As for Defamation, since the story is ended I can’t really add some extra author notes but; while I have been compressing events and the like, Defamation was always going to end with Yugi waking up a vampire and Ryuji dead. ^^; I just compressed it into one chapter.
So why exactly have I been finishing these stories like a maniac? School, mostly, and the fact that having 20+ unfinished stories is NOT GOOD. Anyway, reviews are welcome. I hope you liked the last two chapters of immortals, as they took me a week to finish (sucks to have no free time or time to yourself to write stuff.)
Oh, and if you like all my AU vampire/fae stuff, be on the lookout for my therianthropy story- coming as soon as I can finish a few more stories. Like Kourui. >.< The title will be something about wolves, snakes and dogs. (Seto/Jou, Jou/Yami, Yami/Yugi goodness)
Yugi: Yay! I get to be in the next one!
Yami: Yay! I’m a whore addicted to catnip- WTF?
Seto: Uhh… I feel all high and mighty again.
