Chapter 18:Lead the way

Bakura noticed this, "Vampire Lords, (a/n: I didn't know how else to put it!) do have special powers and that is one of them." He kneeled next to your leg and unwrapped what he had done not moments before. He revealed something that you thought that nothing in the world could do was possible.

(this time)

Your leg was completely healed. No pain was there to kill your mind. You smiled as you looked up from your leg. Bakura was standing with a slight smile on his lips.

Pulling your gaze away from his face you turned to your leg again. You ran a hand over the once there wound and found it soft and smooth. (a/n: HE shaved your legs! LOL….ok...that kinda didn't sound right 0.0 MOVING on) Your own hand was being pulled away as you stared at you leg.

Bakura seized your hand and was pulling you up from the couch. He stood you up and carefully placed his hand on your chin. You sucked in air from the earthbound atmosphere while melting in Bakura's arms. He leaned in to kiss your lips but never made it. He stopped as you closed your eyes and waited. He placed a finger on you lips as you opened your eyes once again.

"I love you more than anything in the world ___." He lifted his finger, "And I hate seeing that you hate this life." He let go of your chin and stepped back. The table behind him wouldn't let him go any farther so he stopped.

Seconds later Yami and Joey tackled the figure before you to the ground. Kaiba came up behind the three and placed a vial to the non-struggling vampire. `He knew they were going to do this…HE knew that I hated this life! He knew! Then why isn't he giving up a FIGHT!' You paused in your own mind. `It's because he loves me…isn't it?'

A lone tear slipped from your eyes as Kaiba slipped the poison into his mouth. Bakura went limp as the poison took effect: Taking his powers away.

You finally had the strength to speak, "Where did you get that?! How did you get-"

Kaiba cut you off, "Show me the grave of the first servant vampire." He walked over to you and held a stake you your heart. He figured out that he could kill you; without Bakura's help. You had no choice but to show or tell him.

"Show me." He pressed the stake to your heart while Joey and Yami carried the limp Bakura out the door. You looked out the window of the shack. `I hate you moon.' The bright and full moon seemed to shine brightly than ever before.

You nodded and followed the two teenagers out the entryway, which was now your exit forever.
