Chapter 24: Bloodstained goodbye
(Last time) ((the last chapter…sorry on such short notice))
Your feet took you somewhere unexpected, when you hung up and realized where you were.
(This time)
You had no idea why you were here, but you didn't like the idea that you returned. Looking around, you noticed the same sights you saw the first time you were here. The flooding of memories hit you again. It felt like you were drowning in your own pool of self hidden thoughts and past visions.
"Just take a deep breath and walk away…"
NO! You have to face it some time
But I can't
You have to!
Taking a step forward you made your way towards yours and his grave sight.
Nonononono - Turn back - The screaming in you head still urged you to go forwards while your own thoughts were telling you otherwise. But you knew you'd have to face it sometime, but you didn't think it would be so soon.
"It's only been a day, and I already think he's coming back."
The wind picked up leaving you shivering to your young and innocent death. ((not so innocent when you think about it))
You stepped up to the stone and stared at it. Blood had stained some of the grass and dirt, but the stone was now way near it. Black blotches the size of Texas marked and covered the whole thing.
It was a scar of death that stood before your eyes.
NOT realizing what you were doing, your hand was inching towards the bloodied stone.
"No." you snapped your hand back. "I can't. Not like this." You looked down and realized that blood covered all the skin on your hand.
The wind turned icy cold as you stood next to the stone. You noticed that the once dried blood was slowly oozing its way down the stone like it was alive again.
It slowly made its way down the stone and started to stain the dirt. The ground was sucking up the blood with a sucking noise while you stared in "aw" at the tombstone.
Right before your eyes stood the one and only spirit of the night.

You stared at the shallow and pale demon before you. He looked like a ghost and from the blood rushing from your own face, someone might have mistaken you for one too.
He had his head bowed while his bangs covered his face; the shadows engulfed his once milky white skin. It looked like the life was sucked out of him. But then again, it was.
You couldn't breathe anymore. That was when you realized that you were holding your breath and let it out slowly with a breathy whisper, "Bakura."
Standing as if he didn't hear you, he started to move his head upwards until his eyes locked onto yours. He stared at you with empty and cold bolt eyes. It seemed like anything that you would or could do, wouldn't happen.
Falling into his arms.
Crushing his mouth with a passionate kiss.
Actually moving forward.
Saying something - anything!
Nothing happened. You stood there. He stood there. Both of you were waiting for something to happen. But nothing came. Not even a single word escaped his mouth. You tried to move forward. But you couldn't. Something was latching onto your feet and slowly making its way up your legs.
You looked down and saw mud slowly engulfing your limbs. It reached your legs by the time you finally realized what the mud actually was.
Blood.
And lots of it.
The fowl stench finally reached your nose as you struggled to get your legs out of the drowning substance.
You wanted to cry out, but realized that Bakura was still before you. Searching his face for any kind of sign to help you, you writhed to get out of the blood before it reached your knees. But it was too late. It already reached your waist pulling you down into the ground.
Fear.
Fear crossed your face as you stared at Bakura with lovingness to come help you. But he didn't budge. Not even a flinch.
You sank lower and lower into your own grave while your cherishing partner watched as you suffered the great sea of crimson. Tears lined your eyes as you watched his thin lips form into a smirk.
Laughing filled the air.
You shivered at the coldness in the air. You were drowning. No one could help you. No one would help you. You were alone. Alone to die.
The laughing continued.
Staring at Bakura's still and smirking figure you realized it was he who was laughing. He was laughing at you. But nothing escaped his lips while continuing this torture.
Hatred filled your lungs which caused your shivering figure to gasp for breath as you sank lower and lower. You couldn't help but glare at the murder before you. He was killing you. He was killing you for greed. He was killing you for greed; believing you were the one that killed him.
It dawned on you that not only was he laughing a menacing laugh, but in the background was his words of terror. Terror of horrid and terrifying words. You didn't know it, but it also was going to be the last thing you heard.
"And to think I loved you. You betrayed me. You killed me with my own love. You shall be the one to die now. Not me."
Laughing continued after the greedy words.
The vital substance reached your chest.
While shivering you mutter the words, "No…no….no." You shook your head back and forth. "No…no….no."
You looked away from his face and down at the stench covering your whole body. "I loved you…and it will never change." It now reached your neck as you sank deeper into the ground.
Realizing that you were dieing, you made one last remark to the albino before you actually left this world, "This is not the end."
You closed your eyes while gasping for breath as the crimson liquid entered your mouth choking you. This was goodbye. Goodbye to your fellow comrades, love and past.
THE END

ME: I am shivering in my own skin. That was the freakiest chapter I have ever wrote. And sadly it is the end. But remember about the sequel? HA! So it's not the end! Hungry for more? MUWHAHAHAHAHAHA!
